Natural selection. It was a simple matter of fact that the weak would die off while those who were able to adapt and become strong would continue to live on and prosper. This was true of all things living. This also applied to the many gangs of Japan. All wanted a slice of the pie. All wanted to prosper and laugh as the competition crumbled beneath their feet. But the sad truth was that not everyone could have things go their way. The big fish would swoop in, establish dominion over land, drugs, and the like, and take down anyone who did not join or help benefit them. Of course, nobody wanted to just get washed away by the tide and be left in the dust. No gang wanted to be at the bottom. No, the top was the only suitable place. Atop a tall and imposing throne made of all the drugs they had gathered, all the money they had made from selling said drugs, and all the bones of their fallen enemies. It was kill or be killed, and given the choice, who wouldn't pick the former over the latter? So while the more foolish gangs stuck to their traditions and were essentially signing their own death warrant by refusing to change with the times, several of the wiser gangs chose to try something to ensure their survival: An alliance. By banding together, they could hope to preserve themselves while the others would be swept away by the big names. The goal was simple: Each gang would send a representative (or just go alone if they were too poor and weak to even have other members), and everyone would try to find a way to work together. To keep their money and drugs, to keep business going as usual, to not have to worry about being assimilated and losing everything to another gang. But would this meeting work out? Would a new alliance be formed? Or was this merely an opportunity for a clan to come in, wipe out anyone who didn't wish to serve them, and then acquire some new assets and members (aka the ones who choose not to fight back)? This was why a few of the representatives sent were nervous. Naturally, most would have a few grunts to try to fight back if things went south. But in truth, should someone choose to pick a fight, it would not really end well for the small fry. Not that they would just go down without a fight, but still. Several of them were hoping that this meeting was not some elaborate ambush or anything. It was a little before midnight. The location was an abandoned warehouse. It was down a lonely street that most average people would not dare approach due to how shady it looked. It was in a run-down neighborhood, a location that bordered many gang territories, and housed some gangs of its own. The Copper Cobras, Ryugenji Ronins, Aodama, the Phantoms, just to list a few of the small gangs that pretty much flew under everyone's radar with how small and relatively insignificant they were compared to the big boys. The small fry of the small fry. As each representative and their escorts arrived, a big muscular man with a crocodile face (Or was it an alligator? Hard to tell when it was dark and the nearest street light was broken.) would frisk anyone who tried to enter the warehouse. Once the search came up clean, then they would be permitted to enter. Anyone who tried anything funny would first get a growl and a glare, and then a harsh and painful bite if they tried anything again. It was clear that nobody wanted to take any chances here. But would this be enough? Would this meeting go smoothly? Or was there trouble lurking in the nearby shadows waiting to strike on the unsuspecting? Naturally, there were already a few people here aiming to cause trouble. But who would be successful? WC 669 Mami Noriko

Mami arrived late, Perhaps fashionably late would be the proper way to put it. Leaving the leaders of minor clans or even in some cases gangs for those to small or minor to even be considered a proper clan. Her tongue licking briefly at her sharp shiny teeth making sure the shine of scotch was cleaned from them and mechanical mouth flooding her mouth briefly with a refreshing smog to freshen her breath so it didn't smell like a brewery. She had a cigar held tight in her mouth her sharp teeth partially cutting into it just enough to hold it firmly in place as the smog slowly flooded in her lungs and gently puffed out like a train engine spewing a slow steady pace of blackish smog.
Her body itself while looking short and strange, Perhaps those that were foolish and knew little of who she was might have thought her a frail young girl. Although she was much older then she looked and far more powerful given most her body was synthetic and prosthetic. It held her a form of youth and strange appearance. The metal eyes along her arms blinking with small clanks as they did so and her black void of eyes on her face always seemed to stare blankly forward into the distance in a ominous sort of way perhaps one might say.
Her more simple weapon she enjoy tucked under her clothing as well as she made her way towards the building. She would have preferred something a bit more classy but given the problem and task at hand she didn't let it bother her to much as she'd make her way into the entrance her top hap lightly tilted as she entered the meeting place expecting to find the small bosses speaking if not bickering among themselves. Only a few hands near the door she'd brought with her and mostly the rest of her men not far off ready for action but far enough as well to not arouse suspicion should this take a turn the others wouldn't like. "Seems everyone's here? I don't assume anyone was silly enough to ignore little old mes invitation were they?" She'd say with a light chuckle and giggle as she made her way around the table before eventually taking her seat.

Alright, it looks like everyone's shown up. The crocodile-headed thug was getting ready to let the last of the 'guests' inside. If anyone was late, well... sucks to be them. But just before closing the door, one more person showed up. The thug glared at Mami and growled, as if letting her know that she was late. Still, she arrived before the closing of the door, so he had to let her in, after a thorough frisking of course. Wouldn't want to let a potential troublemaker inside, after all. Upon placing his hands on the woman, however, he felt that her body was mechanical. A fellow mutant?
A startling thought arose, however. What if this woman's seemingly mechanical body meant that she had an easier time hiding weapons? The thug decided that perhaps he should be a bit more thorough with this one. But then a voice came from his walkie-talkie, telling the thug to hurry up. This, plus that awful cigar smell from the woman meant that the crocodile thug rushed a bit as he finished frisking Mami. That meant that he missed the girl's weapon and mistakenly assumed her to be clean. Stepping aside, the thug let the woman enter the warehouse. He then quickly shut the door behind her and locked it. The meeting was to start right away, and there could be no further delays.
Meanwhile, everyone inside were either eyeing the woman who had just arrived, muttering among themselves, or just fidgeting nervously in their seats. It was clear that several of the people here were on edge. The air was filled with so much distrust, fear, and suspicion. Still, everyone had to do their best to calm down. It would be a shame if people got jumpy and then began attacking from sheer nervousness.
"Alright, everyone's here? Good, let's start this shit already." A bald man in a suit wearing sunglasses sighed. It was clear that he was very impatient. Fortunately, the meeting could start now. "So it's clear why we're all here, right? I doubt anyone here can stand one another. Personally, I trust all of you about as much as I can trust the fucking cops. In other words, not a damn bit." A couple of murmurs of agreement. "But it's clear that we don't stand a chance by ourselves. Not against people like the Kobayashi. And let me tell you, I ain't gonna bend over and beg for my life like a dog to the damn yakuza."
Another man spoke up, this one wearing a helmet to conceal his face. Most likely a mutant. "I agree. As much as I hate the idea of working with those I can't trust, the fact is that we all need to band together if we are to hope to survive. Because I doubt that anyone here can go up against someone like Thunder Shock and hope to actually win. Nah, anyone who even thinks that they got a shot at that is an idiot who deserves to die. But anyway, I like the sound of an alliance. One where we're ALL equals."
More murmurs of agreement. Yet another person spoke, this time a woman wearing a butterfly mask. "Indeed. I refuse to lower myself and my group to anyone. Not to the Kobayashi, and certainly not to anyone here. But if an alliance means that I can continue to operate without trouble, then I'll be accepting of this compromise."
The thugs at the table were all muttering. Plenty of them seemed to be in agreement. Some were unsure about it, and there were a few who rolled their eyes, wondering if this meeting was a waste of time. But then the bald sunglasses man spoke up. "Silence, please. I'm sure we all have an opinion on the matter, but let us speak one at a time. That way, all of our voices and concerns will be heard. Now, does anyone else have anything to add?" Everyone looked around, seeing if anyone would reply.

They all in a sense began to speak their case each one with their own sorta aura of a authority or at least this was how Mami perceived it as she listened lightly up a smoke mid way as the people were speaking. Each moment that ticked on she seemed lightly more annoyed. Almost as if she was hardly interested in their actual point of views. She expected most would due to pride or ego would want to hold onto that power this life often made someone feel they had. Strength and status could be as addictive after all as any needled plunged deep into any vain. But still... She wasn't interested in an Alliance perhaps as the right word for it.
"I mean, I can see some of your worries and all. Alliances are well and good but none of really stand on the same par as our higher clan. Simply put you're all on the same territory or bordering lands. Now we all know who was the best candy in all of Tokyo and probably in Japan. An the truth is I intend to start pushing it as far as I can go. Listening to you explain your positions I understand your points. An basically this is your chance to get on the wagon or risk being its in way. Now... You're the ones worth talking to. So I'm willing to hear how this plays out. But... I mean. Do you really want stand against me or the boss?" She'd say simply enough as if a big dog among small laying down some starting law. Her curved sinister grin made all the more worrisome by her sharp metal teeth shining from within and her void black eyes non blinking looking back. All the while his eyes along her metal arms mimicking blinking all the while seeming to focus on different people around the table before them.

Among the sea of people in this room, it was a single voice that had grabbed the attention of the others. In silence, they listened to the words of the mechanical lady. Silence, at the beginning, middle, and end of her words. But then something broke that silence. Like the calm of the storm had passed and the storm itself was quickly approaching. And then it hit. A storm...
...of laughter.
Roars of laughter erupted across the room. What was once a tense and fragile atmosphere became much more lighthearted as everyone laughed at those words. What a hilarious joke it was. Surely it had to be a joke, right? There was no way this lady was for real, right?
...Right?
"Goddamn, girlie! I gotta say, I'm glad you showed up! We all needed a good laugh there!" It was almost infectious, like no one could stop laughing. "Jeez, this one girl has more balls than every one of you pitiful men combined!" Laughter continued to echo across the room. It went on for a good minute or two. And then one man's words were enough to completely quell that laughter and return the place to its previous state of silence.
"Oh shit, are you actually serious?"
The tense and uneasy atmosphere had returned. Though at first everyone thought this girl was a joker, it suddenly occurred to them that this was not a joke. That horrible realization that had everyone stunned in shock and silence. No, there way no way. This was supposed to be a safe meeting point. So how? How was it possible...? One person then suddenly spoke up.
"...Oh shit, you ARE with the Kobayashi, aren't you?"
Upon hearing those words, the tension in the room increased a hundredfold. No, this was impossible! This was supposed to be a secret! So if this girl really was a Kobayashi lackey, if she really did serve Thunder himself...
"Everyone calm down." The sunglasses-wearing bald man in the suit spoke up. "You are all getting worked up for, what exactly? This is merely one simple woman. Are you all really so cowardly? Perhaps if you all used your brains, you'd see that this is actually a great opportunity. An opportunity to see just how well an alliance would work." Grinning, he whispered something to one of his goons, who immediately got up and began approaching Mami.
"I say let's show this Kobayashi pig what happens to those who try to push us." Murmurs of agreement soon filled the room. Though a few people here still felt afraid and looked like they were very close to just running out of here, several others began getting up. Sadly, they had no weapons on them. But surely that wouldn't matter. It was a room full of thugs versus a single woman. How hard could it be?

She didn't rise from where she seated even as they laughed or as anger slowly took the place of joyful expression. Puffing a cigar briefly clenched between her sharp metal edged teeth with a gleam that accompanied it's edge all but where it sliced lightly into the cigar's rough exterior. The smoke briefly moving through both synthetic what little of her body was actually still organic before she exhaled it as a thick puff of smoke and smog that slowly built into a small cloud of smog settling near the ceiling of the room. She didn't seem to be moved or even roused to action much when the others seemed to be freaking out.
She wasn't armed in the sense of having outward or outside weaponry really. But she had her built in weaponry but she was in no hurry to really use it. An in truth her body was made of so many thick strong metals that normal fists or angry gangsters wouldn't really be to much of a threat or at least that's what she said. She didn't seem all that threatened as she remained reclined feet on the desk looking at them all slowly becoming angry and rousing around her. She chuckled lightly and seemed to almost wave off the aggression.
"Fellas Fellas,... I mean common the drug business isn't as big for you all as it used to be. It's your fault if you want to pass up a good opportunity. I mean... we all know where you guys really stand... You should really just put the attitude away while you can boyos." She'd say chuckling lightly. Seemingly treating it as if there wasn't much of a threat if honestly as if there was any in her attitude and how she spoke being rather dismissive and relaxed in attitude and posture.

The tension and unease in the room would not fade. If anything, it only continued to grow. Why was this lady not worried? Were all the Kobayashi lackeys this arrogant? Or did she not see them as a threat? A few of the thugs who were not afraid or merely watching silently were beginning to get annoyed. Such arrogance! Many of the people here now wished that they had their weapons on them. But oh well. Surely they would not need any just to deal with one person, right? The thug that was approaching Mami now stood in front of her, sneering as he looked down on her.
"You talk big. But you're going to regret looking down on us. I look forward to wiping the grin right off your face!"
And with surprising speed, the man slammed his fist on the woman's face. The sheer speed was inhuman. Most people would be caught off guard and be sent flying. But of course, Mami was not most people. Upon colliding with her, the thug heard a loud cracking sound. But it was soon followed by extreme pain.
"GAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAH!!"
The thug was shocked. Just what the hell happened? He was among his boss's strongest men. One punch from him was always enough to send his victims flying. His strength was to be feared. And he never held back at all. So why did his punch do absolutely nothing to her? It was like the tiniest of breezes would do more to move her than the thug's fist. And now his hand was broken and bloody, with not even a scratch on her. What was she made of? Was she even human?
"J-just what in the hell ARE you?!"
Mutters began to fill the room. Most of those observing were either frightened with the lady's incredible resilience, impressed at how such an attack didn't even faze her, or laughing because they thought that the thug was really that weak.
"Seriously? That all you got? Here, I'll show you how it's done!"
Another thug got up, grabbing his chair with the intent to swing it over the girl's head. Not that it would make much of a difference. And that was assuming that Mami even let herself get hit. Unlike the first thug who was at least fast with his attack, this thug's attempt at a strike was so obvious and slow. If she wanted to dodge the chair slam, it would be more than easy and simple for her to do so. But either way, the others continued to sit there and watch.

She didn't really intend to avoid a simple fist and the show and display was amusing really. Chest pounding and eager barking like a pack of dogs eagerly attempting to assert a new Alpha at the head of the pack. It was amusing and normally she'd enjoy the continue for a long time into such games of intrigue high spirits. But she did have a job to do. Territory and monopolies on the drug trade at least in this little spot of the world needed to be controlled and regulated to make sure what was best for the clan and hits banking continued. So as one scowled in pain from their silly stupidity and another attempted make use of a sudden makeshift weapon out of their chair she couldn't help but feel herself sigh as the sharp edge eyes on her arms quickly blinked looking over in the direction of the attacker. Her black voids of eyes in her head however never seemed to really watch what was gaining her attention. The eyes protruding from her arms seemed to be watching every angle for that instead.
"I mean its kinda silly given you 'know' who I work for." She tried to add to the conversation briefly. Given Japans strictness on narcotics and drugs of any kind it was a dangerous business that could easily not be worth its risk both financially and legally if you didn't do it perfectly. Of course she and her tools at her disposal allowed her to make it a truly genuine cash cow.
Her edged metallic of her arms seemed to swat away the char with strong metallic edges. The strength of the whip of her arm and the edges intending to shred and crush the chair as she'd kick up one of her feet on the table. As if kicking up her feet but only with one foot. Oddly perhaps even aiming her foot at the chair wielding Yakuza. After a moment of this she gripped onto the table and made sure to control the blast so she didn't go flying off. But a blast of hot flame igniting from her thruster hole at the bottom of her boot and prosthetic food leg and shin shot out hot flames like a rocket launching. But kept low enough so she didn't burst away like once again a rocket a launching. "Sit down kiddo!" She'd say with a light cheerful chuckle as she did so.

The thugs and goons in the room could be compared to a barrel filled with pretty much anything flammable. All it would take to ignite the barrel and cause it to explode from the built-up pressure was a single spark. One tiny spark that would cause the entire situation to escalate and figuratively explode. And with the second thug about to be attacked back, it was clear that the proverbial spark was about to come.
And oh boy, did it come! Everyone else was stunned into silence upon seeing the flames being shot out from her leg. Well, except for the chair-holding goon who was now yelling and screaming in pain. Pretty much the expected reaction from suddenly being lit on fire. Maybe if the gangsters here weren't selfish and only thought of themselves, then maybe someone would try and assist the burning man. But alas, no one would step forward to try and help him. He was likely to succumb to his burns and die.
But seeing that this lady was not one to take lightly, the others now had their fight-or-flight responses activated. And naturally, everyone here now wanted to either run towards the Kobayashi representative, or run towards the door to escape this scene. Unfortunately for the latter, there would be no escape. It appeared that the door was now locked, the only method of escape cut off. But why? That door was meant to be locked to prevent outsiders from coming in. Orders were being barked to unlock the door, but no response. Maybe the guard outside wouldn't listen. Or maybe he couldn't listen. Who knew which was the case here....
Either way, the other gang members were now stuck inside, with no weapons to fight with. But there were several who would still try. "Kill this bitch!" Even with no weapons, surely the numbers meant that the thugs would be able to overpower a single woman, right? Surely they stood a chance, right? Believing so, fifteen goons now began to approach Mami, intending to fight, maim, and kill if at all possible. A few of them even had quirks, though nothing too notable or worrying. Really, these were nothing more than small fry. Mami was free to crush them all in whatever manner she saw fit.
As for the rest of the goons? They continued pounding and screaming at the locked door, hoping that their combined efforts would be enough to get the door open. It would not. What had happened to the guard outside? Was he killed? Or was he purposefully trying to keep them all trapped inside to be killed by that mechanical madlass? In any case, they would continue trying in vain to escape. Though with how desperate they were, the possibility of a few of them eventually realizing the futility of their actions and deciding to fight back was strong. Just how long would it take for that to happen?
For now, all Mami had to worry about was... well, nothing, really. Fifteen scared, cocky, and weak goons were no reason to be concerned at all.

She found herself enjoying where she was for a few moments as things went by in a delectable sequence of events. One of the rabblerousers lay burning others fleeing but of course there would be no exit for them here. This was a important meeting and she was going to at least make the majority of what needed done GET done tonight in this meeting. Whether she had to get people to bend a knee and join the clan or simply replace them with goons later she trusted didn't matter to her. What mattered was simply the end result and making sure Kobayashi owned all the territory in this part of Tokyo just as she desired and had planned. All the while for a time she simply adjusted herself where she sat after the flaming burst from her rocket like feet. Her black eyes barely keeping trace of anything but her arm eyes heavily blinking and clicking as they turned in several angles keeping a eye on several angles and people of interest in the room. " This IS the future gentlemen, You can't stop what's going to happen any more then you can stop the weather. Keep in mind where the ego is and the only lucrative opportunity that lays before you." She tried to explain briefly remaining still for as long as was possible in a relaxed manner that one might expect from a boss in a powerful seat of power and position. She tried to explain things as if it was as ingrained in stone and the natural way of things as much as the law of nature or gravity was in things. But even still some of them were brought to their emotional knees as they fled towards a secured door like rats rushing towards the only speculated exit while water slowly flooded the metaphorical ships lowers decks. As some of them the less smart of the bunch rushed in her direction. Mami launched herself up to her feet and began spinning on her heels as the thrusters in her feet and her extending bladed metal arms with their eyes like daggers sticking out of each one in moments she became a cyclone tornado as fists and the edged part of her arms gave a shining edge and slicing edge as she spun faster and faster like some cartoon villain as she intended to slash and smash and send them flying as she spun towards them like a tiny personal cyclone trapped in the room.

It was soon becoming clear just how much of a mistake coming here was for several of the gangsters here. The idea of an alliance seemed promising, the idea of banding together to survive against stronger criminal organizations seemed appealing, but it would quickly become clear that such an idea was never going to work out. It was very clear by the fact that all of those thugs were being slaughtered by a single person. Were all of the Kobayashi this strong? Or was it just this sole female? Were these lesser gangs really this weak? Or was it all of the above?
The chaos would only escalate from here. One after another, the thugs who were foolish enough to think they actually stood a chance were sent flying by the cyclone of blades. The lucky ones were merely knocked back and fell to unconsciousness. The less fortunate ones were sliced up, either dying immediately or screaming in pain as they began to bleed out quickly. The room was filled with dread, pandemonium, fear, and blood. The thugs who were smart enough to not charge at the lady were still frantically knocking away at the locked door, desperate to escape with their lives. It was in vain.
Suddenly, one random thug looked over to Mami and began to laugh nervously. "Hah... I get it. I get it! I know what you want!" He then immediately picked up a jagged piece of wood, the remains of a broken chair, and jabbed the sharp end straight into the chest of a different criminal. Coincidentally, the guy's former employer. "GAAAAAAH! You fucking traitor!" The thug then cackled as his former boss slowly bled to death. "I see now! I know what I must do! Praise the Kobayashi! All who oppose them must die! Join or die, right? Well I'm not interested in getting killed, so I'd rather join the winning team! Ha ha ha!"
Would this thug's idea work? Would he be allowed to live because of his newfound loyalty? That was up to Mami to decide. In the meantime, the remaining criminals looked in horror as the crazed madman began to stab another nobody. Was this man so afraid of dying that he would betray his group to join the Kobayashi? Or was this merely the first person to see the light of reason? Some of the criminals continued to stay frozen in fear. Others were heavily considering repeating that one thug's actions. Who knows, maybe singing praises to the Kobayashi would let them escape this death trap?

It really was a shame and one she could almost understand. They had considered themselves a bit higher then their station actually made them. Many used to the taste and sensation of power that even a lower level gang head would feel. It was understandable to think some of them after tasting a hint of the money, command over others, and power over life and death when dealing with foes to a gang that they'd have developed some sensation of being used to being on top and seen as the big bosses or heads of their corners of the world. But this was a bigger business and things would change just as they always did. Change was life and cry and fight as we like there was little one could do to actually change this.
She had a goal here and those that refused would simply have to face that overwhelming force of change that was the mechanically quirked woman before them. The power of blade, edged metallic blade eyes, An all the armaments a mechanical body came with to deal with those that held onto their hunger for power even onto their bloody end. The scent of said blood clinging into the air as well as things would briefly slow and calm down as those that chose to result to such violent were for the most part quickly disposed of as if insects squashed under the proverbial foot of change.
She really didn't seem to mind to much the display as one chose to strike down his ally with a jagged splintery piece of wood. A leg of a chair made as a make shift weapon bringing the other to a no doubt painful and surprising end. Such was the ways of this life at times but the politics of all this hardly was her concern.
She would remain silent for several moments before waiting to see if any of those left would choose to continue this crazed violence. If not she would allow a moment to breath and emotions to calm as she'd light a cigar and taking a slow deep inhale of the exquisite foreign smoke and exhale a puff of blackened smog and smoke into the air. "It's just business, Bringing new beings into the fold. Its quite simple that we are making all of Tokyo one day be Kobayashi. Drugs, guns, and all the other delights people pay for from the underground all under one roof and one family. If you think you can truly accept that then you can most surely avoid the fate of those that fought like tigers today but in the end ended up put down in the path of progress. The question is are you ready to join progress or all of you willing to stand in its way? This was your welcome to a change just remember that. This is not even close to what happens when change becomes a train barreling through tot hose that block its path in the worst of times." Implying there could be worse in the future if any sort of resistance continued or arose again in the time moving forward for likely any such reasons.

One by one, more and more thugs began to see the futility of their actions. The more people tried fighting back, the more it became clear just how foolish that notion was. There was no fighting the Kobayashi. There was no escape. Right now, there were only two options. Join, or die. Become assimilated, or become annihilated. There was no third option, no other choice, no other means of escape.
At first, the actions of the one thug who seemed to suddenly be singing praises to the Kobayashi seemed extreme, desperate, abnormal. But as stubborn as many of those still alive were, most of them were thankfully not stupid. Soon, that nameless thug's action would be seen as the logical choice, the correct decision, the new normal. One by one, people stopped trying to escape, stopped trying to commit such a futile act. With the room now being silent enough, Mami's words could now reach the others. Now they could actually listen.
"It seems..." The lady with the butterfly mask, the one who just earlier seemed adamant about not lowering herself to the Kobayashi or anyone else for that matter, began speaking in a much more humble tone. "It seems we were mistaken. I was mistaken. I see now. We were all fools to think we could ever hope to stand up to sharks like the Kobayashi. We small fish could never hope to survive like that. Well I know I'm not one to throw my life away for a fight I don't believe in. So if working with you... If working with you means I get to survive and prosper, then you have the support of me and my men. Consider us your new allies."
But then the nameless thug, the one who had killed his former boss, went up to the woman and began to... sniff her? "Wh... What do you think you are doing, you depraved psycho?!" The man ignored the masked lady's protests, continuing to sniff her. "Ah, that scent." He grinned enthusiastically. "I can smell your fear, your desperation. This scent... is the scent of..." He then grinned maniacally. "Someone telling the truth. Your words are genuine. This pleases me. I look forward to working with you... partner."
As the lady shuddered from the words of that creep, another man spoke, this being the one with the helmet, another former boss. "Y-yeah! Praise b-be to the Kobayashi! I may n-not have much men left, but I'll definitely be more than happy to help serve the Kobayashi and ensure their continued prosperity without any obstacles! I'll do everything in my power to-" He then noticed the psychotic man approaching him, sniffing the helmeted man now. "H-hey! What are you doing? Stay away from me!"
Another wide, almost unnatural grin. "I see, I see! Another one finally seeing the light, eh? Such an intriguing scent you have. Ah yes." Getting very close now, the thug began to sniff the increasingly frightened man. "This smell... The scent..." He then placed a hand on the helmeted man, almost in a reassuring manner.
"The scent... of a liar!"
And with that, the crazed thug grabbed the man's neck in a choke hold with one hand. On the other hand was the broken chair leg being used as a makeshift knife. "I can smell your lies! What, did you think you could swim your way out of this?! Try to get on this young lady's good side so you can run with your tail between your legs? Or were you foolish enough to think you could try to fish for an opening and try to backstab her? Huh?!" It was clear from this deranged lunatic's tone that he was severely angry. Like he was only a moment away from finishing this man's life.
With a swift motion, the thug moved his weapon with surprising strength, shattering his victim's helmet in one blow, revealing the man's fish mutation. Fortunately, the man did not need water to be able to breathe. Unfortunately for him, his left eye was impaled. "GAAAAAAAAAHHH!!!" With a slasher smile, the thug violently ripped out the chair leg, watching his victim scream and sob as he impaled the other eye.
"Let this be a lesson to you all! The Kobayashi are not to be defied or crossed! Your intentions must be pure, must be genuine! You have to want to be a part of them! You have to desire to serve them! I can smell any liars, so don't think you can try anything!" With everyone else in the room successfully stunned into silence and fear, the grunt then turned to Mami, looking at her with a twisted sense of respect and borderline reverence.
"Milady, I would like to make an example of this worthless pile of trash." He grinned as he began to choke the now blind fish-faced man. "Would you grant me permission to kill this attempted traitor? Or do you want me to spare him?" He then bowed to the mechanical lady, all while still keeping a firm grip on his victim. "Your wish is my command. Whatever the Kobayashi wills, I shall not hesitate to follow." The fish man's life was now in Mami's hands. Whatever she decided, her new frighteningly loyal grunt would follow her will without question. It seemed as though unlike his victim, the crazed psychopath's devotion to the Kobayashi seemed genuine. Very sudden and extreme, but genuine.

She couldn't help but feel it all was truly rather amusing. She stood with a bit more readiness then she had earlier before she had send embers and flames soaring from her boots. She chuckled lightly to herself watching, listening, savoring the chaos as these people tore each other apart and slowly fell apart from the pressure and coming so close as to even be considered eye to eye with death. Those at the top could at times forget fear and the worries of the lower beings but she was able to remind them that they were far from untouchable and high up in power as they through they may have been. She simply clapped her hands as well chuckling lightly at their praises, words of fear, and all the other bits far and few between.
"You all are far more colorful then I could have ever imagined. The spice of the Yakuza comes in several dozen flavors it seems. But in all honesty I don't see any reason to scrap some valued workers! After all as long as the dogs know whose the alpha we can all work together right?" She'd say expecting welcomed and weakened down responses like those with fear driven loyalty. "I suppose this means none of you wish to argue much any further?" She'd aid briefly chuckling with that dark comical voice of this as if this was all some big joke and the current carnage was simply the punchline.
If they finally found their place like heeling dogs she'd bring out the plans of where soldiers would go and the men would do working for the clan and becoming part of the process. She had ways of managing things too so she could slowly weave her own men and dismantle large portions of the gangs overtime to ensure loyalty and that no one would betray them down the line. All she needed was loyalty for a time and once that time passed she'd be able to ensure it through her dirty yet clever tactics.

The others looked at the deranged thug in fear. Was he always this crazy and psychotic? Or was it fear driving his actions? It was hard to tell. Both answers seemed plausible. But with the only other option being death, there seemed to be no choice but to obey. Obey or die. Speaking of dying, it seemed as though the fish-faced man would get to avoid death for now.
"Ah, so generous!" The maniac choking the fish man grinned. "Now why don't you thank the nice lady here for allowing you to continue breathing, you worthless spawn?" After loosening his grip just a bit, the thug watched as the completely terrified fish man took a moment to gasp for air and massage his neck a bit before getting down on the floor and bowing. "Y-yes, thank you so much, ma'am! I swear my loyalty to your superiors will be genuine this time!"
It took a while, but it seemed as though all of the gangsters here were now finally on the same page. Ally themselves with the Kobayashi. Resistance was futile. And anyone who got in the way deserved nothing less than a gruesome and painful death. "No, there will be no further arguments from us." The butterfly mask lady spoke. Her tone was polite, but it was clear that just like the others, she was still shaking in fear. It was honestly a miracle that nobody had yet wet themselves, though there were certainly several who came close. "I think I speak for us all when we say we know our place. Our men, our resources, what little territory we had once squabbled over, they are all for the Kobayashi to use as they see fit." Murmurs of agreement filled the room.
The deranged thug then cheered. "Good! Then let us all praise and cheer for our new overlords! Show our support!" He then began to chant. "Praise Kobayashi! Praise Kobayashi!" He repeated his words over and over. Soon, several of the thugs would join in. It would not take long before everyone else in the room chanted those words as well. Of course, the chanting would not last too long, as the thug would then raise his hand to silence the others. Upon the room immediately going silent, he then gestured to Mami. "Now let us all listen to what the lady here has to say."
As everyone paid attention to Mami, the faint sound of the doors unlocking would be heard. Nobody was foolish enough to try to run away, however. They had already seen with their own eyes what would happen if they foolishly tried to show defiance by leaving. No, they would all stay like good little sheep and listen to the alpha. Dominance had been established. Everyone knew who the top dog was.
