❛❛ Asura Piercer; Nakamura Kou 18 || Heterosexual || Male || Vigilante |
PERSONALITY POSITIVE ✔ • Charming • Collected • Decisive • Protective • Tenacious NEGATIVE ✖ • Cold • Duplicitous • Stubborn • Wrathful • Vengeful LIKES ✔ • Acting • Crowds • Fan Events • Heights • Honest People DISLIKES ✖ • Acting • Filial Piety • Hypocrites • Intimacy • Pedophiles PERSONALITY Ultimately, Nakamura Kou’s personality can be said to result from his childhood. If he is protective of others, it is because there was no one to protect him. His love of crowds? Because in public, everything must at least appear to be clean. As for his distaste for hypocrites, pedophiles, and filial piety- Well, those speak for themselves. But while it is his trauma, it is also his motivation. Stubborn to the end, Kou refuses to let his past suppress him, instead using it as fuel to burn even brighter. Kou struggles to become close to others, keeping himself at a safe distance, safe enough to not be hurt. As such, others often find him cold or unapproachable. However, as is traditional for this character type, those who thaw the chilly exterior will find a lifelong friend. Despite hating hypocrisy, Kou can not help but become one himself. He both loves and hates acting, although, the meaning of each cannot he said to be the same. Kou loves acting when it comes to playing a part, whether it be a part in a movie, or as the vigilante Acura Piercer. However, he despises using those skills in order to hide his true feelings, such as smiling at a person whom he hates. However, as much as he would like to show the truth, Kou swallows his hypocrisy and turns the other cheek. | APPEARANCE HEIGHT: 1.9 m WEIGHT: 80 kg HAIR/STYLE: Short and black, frequently styled to match the character he is playing at the time. SKIN/SCARS: White skin, with no notable blemishes. At least, none in places that can be seen. EYES: A blue a deep as the ocean. NOTABLES: Due to his quirk, Kou has eight sharp, black appendages growing from his back, with an appearance akin to spider legs. The first thing most people see when looking at Kou is, of course, his quirk. Eight limbs growing from his back, ending in wicked points. Each leg is about three times the length of his arms, and are covered in a jet-black carapace. Being a part of his body, Kou often uses them as naturally as using his hands- Although, lacking hands, their function can be limited. As far as his actual appearance goes, Kou can be said to be impeccable. As an actor, he is the type to be sold as much on his appearance as on his actual acting skills. His black hair is precisely styled, although frequently changed as required by his current role. His eyes are a deep blue, frequently compared to the ocean- Both in terms of color, as well as their reflection of his otherwise hidden emotions. However well Kou hides his true feelings, his eyes will never lie. |
❛❛Asura Piercer. But is the Asura the one being pierced, or the one piercing? |
HISTORY Nakamura Kou’s childhood can be said to be unhappy, at best. His parents were the type who had children for the same reasons that they shouldn’t have children, and it is thus a miracle that he was an only child. In any case, they never showed much interest in Kou. At least, not until he was old enough that his appearance became plain to see. The point at which they considered that Kou could provide for them, as a child actor. They weren’t wrong. Kou had the looks, and he soon proved to have talent to back it up. Before long, paychecks were flowing in to the Nakamura household, and just as swiftly pouring out as his parents spent the money he earned on booze and gambling. Kou, for his part, didn’t even know. He was simply too young to understand what was going on, so he just focused on his acting. But in the end, his appearance was both a blessing and a curse. For while it won him roles, it also drew attention from entirely the wrong sort- And as a child, Kou had no methods available to rebuff these attentions. He was just another victim of an industry which has always been known for turning a blind eye to it’s own darker side. And this pattern continued for several years. Up until the day his quirk awakened. It was during a private session with one of the studio executives, or at least, that’s what they called it. Even if everyone knew the truth, nobody would speak up. The man’s influence was too great, and it was common knowledge that those who crossed him would come to no good end. Kou, who had withstood this humiliation for these long years, unable to fight back, was finally given the power he had never had before. And while he failed to take the man’s life, as he so longed to- He took the next best thing. Of course, the story couldn’t end that simply. The man was rushed to the hospital, and the studio spared no expense to cover the whole thing up- This wasn’t the first time there had been an accident, and it certainly wouldn’t be the last. Of course, normally it would be Kou who was injured, but that didn’t change that it would reflect poorly on the studio. And so it was kept hidden, even if everyone knew. As for Kou, well, it is only natural that he felt firsthand the executive’s ability to blacklist an actor. The man was never the type to let things lie, and after the shame Kou had brought upon him, he was determined for revenge. With Kou out of a job, it was a simple matter to convince his parents that he no longer belonged to the family. Kou was cast out on the streets with nothing but the clothes on his back, still torn where his quirk had burst through. Things had moved quickly and he barely understood it- He was eight years old and had lost everything. But where others may give up, Kou found determination. He would not let this stop him. He just didn’t know how. After all, the only thing he knew was acting. And as he quickly found out, there was no way he could stay in the industry after what had happened. However, even then, he did not give up. Enter Sadamura Sano . A shady scout at a shadier agency, he first met Kou as he was… Scouting high school girls off the street. But between his scary face and worse reputation, he wasn’t having much success… Or any success, really. But seeing Kou, it was like being struck by lightning. Living on the streets may have hidden Kou’s appearance from the world, but nothing could hide his eyes. Eyes so deep, Sano felt like he would drown. He barely even registered the business card being taken from his hand, and certainly was not aware that this small child would change his life forever. Kandata’s Thread. A small fish in a big pond, the pressure put on them was, in short, immense. For them to have met Kou at this time can only be described as fate- Them being the one place in a position where they were able to… No, where they needed to sign on Kou. The pressure from larger corporations meant that without an imminent breakthrough, they would be swallowed before long. Even the rumours regarding the company, were manufactured in order to place yet more pressure upon them. Of course, even if Kou had heard the rumors, he was out of options. But the stars aligned, and Kandata’s Thread decided to ignore the blacklist and take on Nakamura Kou as their latest acquisition. Of course, at first, it seemed like this decision had been the end of the company. After all, even if the agency took him in, what studios would work with a person on the blacklist? Of course, Kandata’s Thread knew this. Would they have taken Kou in if they did not have a plan? In the end, as it’s namesake, Kandata’s Thread turned out to be the string of silk meant to save a single man from hell. The strings they pulled numbered far more than an agency of that size should have, and it would not be wrong to say it was an all-in gamble on Kou. An all-in gamble that paid off. The blacklist was, in the end, only unofficial. It wouldn’t do to make public the details behind it, after all. And between an unofficial blacklist and an official talent, it was only inevitable that some would choose the talent. And for his part, Kou refused to disappoint. In the end, memories are short, but money is forever- Kou only grew in popularity, picking up more and more roles as he went along. But Kou was restless. He had succeeded in retaking his life- The blacklist no longer held any functional power over him, and he no longer had others stealing the money he worked to earn. But even so, he could not stay calm, and could not say why. Until one day, when he encountered a villain. Well, rather than villain… A mere criminal would be a better descriptor. The lowest of the low. A rapist in a back alley, not even one who had a quirk. In protecting the would-be criminal’s victim, Kou found what he lacked. And on that day, Asura Piercer was born. |
