Another day meant another visit to the armory, in the end, the 'Elimatsuri' was going to last for quite a while from what she heard, so how could she possibly refuse the opportunity to try as many weapons as possible? On this particular day, however, she had come not to try out new guns but oversee a somewhat more secret project. It all began when she had voiced her desire to transfer into the hero course, a decision that left questions among the faculty due to her quirk's lack of use in a combat situation. Most would agree that Elise was best fit for medical endeavors and support, so when the girl voiced her desire to learn rescue lessons and training in how to deal with villains there was a certain degree of skepticism. The Principal, however, had approved of her decision, knowing all too well that despite her Quirk, the girl might have been a slumbering talent for combat, especially after he had seen and trained her proficiency in firearms. In an unnaturally short period of intensive training, Elise had mastered the art of firearm handling to the point she could be called a specialized professional but one problem remained: guns weren't exactly the type of weapon to be wielded by a hero. Guns were meant to maim or kill a foe, not restrain and capture them and as such the young lady had requested of her mentor to help her figure out a way to hone that talent into an asset for a hero.
The end result of that request had seen the involvement of Tanaka Arms, their expertise in weaponry leading to some creative thinking and now they were in the progress of putting those ideas into motion. A young man called Hayate was waiting for her at the armory, one of the engineers at Tanaka Arms who would be working on showcasing the current state of affairs to the young Eisenberg. "Good morning Elise, I am Hayate from Tanaka Arms, I have been asked to show you the current result of our endeavors to comply with your ambitions."
The man started as he waved a hand lightly, telling her to follow him to a more secluded area a small distance away from the armory. "As mentioned before, your Princi- I mean our client has requested for us to build ammunition that would give you more versatility on the battlefield." The man explained, quickly correcting himself, in the end, he couldn't forget that it could be problematic if someone overheard them saying that Touma was getting special ammo made for one of his students, even if she was his gun bunny apprentice.
As they arrived at a small, more private shooting range that was guarded by two armed soldiers the engineer continued to speak. "We're currently testing three different ammunition types currently. As you see we also prepared a replica of your gun to showcase the effect as closely to the real thing as possible." The girl nodded her head lightly, clearly paying attention as the man picked one of the bullets from the crate and continued. "This one is our first creation, we call it the 'Sticky Bullet, you'll understand soon why the naming'." As the man handed her the rifle and the bullet he moved to the edge of the range and set up a dummy. "Please fire toward the leg of the dummy." A simple enough instruction, and as she was asked she fired at the target dummy something remarkable happened! Rather than penetrating the dummy, the bullet exploded into countless sticky threads, coiling around the leg of the dummy like a spider cocoon! "T-That's amazing!" the girl exclaimed excitedly as the engineer nodded his head proudly. "It is a perfect tool to restrain villains, currently the webbing is roughly as hard as stone, but with the right amount of chemicals, we could improve the density even more. If we increase the amount you could even encase their entire body in a webbing instead of just a limb, but that is something we're still struggling with, spreading it out weakens the density of the cocoon and makes it easier for the target to escape."
That made sense, in the end, it was difficult to contain so much stuff inside a simple bullet, but before the demonstration could continue the sound of voices came from the direction of the armory, making Elise blink in confusion as the engineer addressed her. "Let's take a short break Elise, I need to check what is going on at the railgun."
And so both the engineer and Elise rushed off toward the railgun, oblivious of what exactly awaited them. A crowd had gathered around the experimental weapon, but to her surprise, it was almost all men! Were they that excited to try out the railgun?! However, her curiosity stirred at what exactly had drawn their attention the girl started to push through the crowd, exclaiming excitedly. "Lemme see! Lemee see! What is making you guys so excited?!"
Little did she know just what type of problematic situation she was getting herself into, for the source of the men their interest wasn't the railgun, it was the young lady who was showing a clear interest in it, her outfit being something that could be straight out of an anime series, it was not a uniform but an over the top sexy cosplay attire! "H-Hey we should tell the brass to let the women in our army wear such outfits also!" One of them exclaimed excitedly, but Elise had been too absorbed in figuring out what happened, pushing aside the soldiers till she was finally about to reach the front of the crowd, and then everything went wrong.
"So what type of gun is it? a Railgun, a laser gun, maybe a mecha?!" But as she exclaimed happily she had been oblivious of the fact there had been some tools on the ground from the engineers who were working on the railgun earlier, and like in typical comical manner the girl staggered over them "WAAH?!" she exclaimed as she tumbled over them, and if the lady didn't move right there and then, the poor burgundy-haired lass would receive a close encounter with the top of the lass her 'military garb', which considering the nature of it, and the fact the Eisenberg landed face-first into it... was more than enough to make her face turn as red as a tomato!

Yumi was only semi oblivious to the crowd that had gathered around her today. For some reason she was getting a lot more eyes on her than the past day or so she'd been here in a similar costume and get up, but what she wasn't aware of was how many of those staring men had actually followed her through the base. Of course not all of them were actually members of the army but a decent few were, and if Yumi was actually aware of the crowd she'd gathered she'd probably gain such dangerous levels of ego she wouldn't be able to balance her swollen head on her smooth shoulders.
Wandering around the base with this little army of her own casually following her, some of them even offering to help her whenever they could, be it in helping her at the gun assembly demonstration desk, or even suggesting ways she hold the guns she was testing out in the firing range just for a one off little kick, she was really enjoying how helpful everyone seemed to be! Of course she was unaware how many of them were just wanting her to fire the semi-automatics just to watch her body subtly jostle with the force of such a gun rapid firing off some rounds into some poor targets absolutely not the face are you kidding me she could not aim that well.
Eventually, she found herself in the demonstration area of some of the more experimental gear. She'd remembered testing out an electrically charged hand-held long range tazer...something or other, here the other day, meant to harmlessly take down quirk users. Putting on her gauntlets she'd even tried to charge it herself and managed to get a sort of half powered shot out of it. Pretty inneffective, but the soldiers then had certainly been impressed by what she'd managed to pull off just on her own. Today however, she was more drawn to something that had freshly been brought out on display, her eyes widening in amazement at something she thought only truly existed in anime and video games...
"A RAILGUN!?"
Rushing over to the giant machine, her eyes followed from the tip of it's 'barrel' and all the way down to the huge wires leading to some heavy duty generators. Yumi had seen things like this in anime but she was really curious what something like this could do in real life. Of course, something so devestating probably wasn't being tested without some proper precautions made, and right now seemed to be completely out for display purposes. Still, she was enthralled, and while still oblivious to their true interests as the crowd either tried to get a nice view of her butt or her chest, Yumi was assuming the crowd around her was just a sign that this huge ass gun was something to be marveled by a lot of people.
"Oh my god oh my god are they gonna fire this later!? When when!?~" Of course no one answered her, but as she turned to find someone who might answer her queries, she suddenly had a weight fall into her torso. The exercize she'd been doing lately so her capabilities matched the tight body her quirk helped her develop, she wasn't thrown of balance, instead catching the girl a little, spotting how her head landed in her chest, but not at all adverse to such contact, she instead smiled, one hand resting on the back of the girl's neck, and the other gently stroking her hair. "Oh hey. Lucky you landing somewhere soft.~"
She smiled down at her as their eyes likely met, gently petting her head as some soft gasps came from a jealous crowd, Yumi tilting her head to one side as she asked. "You okay? bit of a trip there huh?"
"Dude that lucky bitch" Came a mutter with a quiet reply.
"Think if I trip she'll catch me too...?~"

Poor Elise, to think that she had stumbled over some tools at such a bad timing... Or perhaps lucky Elise for landing face-first into a pillow fortress? Of course the trip and the fall had briefly disorientated her, the burgundy-haired lass her vision quickly turned back to normal as she felt a hand gently rest against the back of her neck, the tender caress of her hair making Elise briefly find herself almost purring like a kitten. God it really was comfortable there, soft and with her hair being caressed so gently she could almost not resist the urge of wanting to take a nap. "Mhmm... soft pillows..." BUT WAIT A MOMENT! Those pillows weren't Tetsuko's pillows! She had sworn an oath! Her oath to Tetsuko was sacred and as such the poor girl had to abandon paradise, her cheeks still flushed up in a blush of embarrassment as she stepped back slightly in a panic and shook her head back and forth. "No-no-no! I can't get tempted! Elise von Eisenberg has sworn an oath to her girlfriend! I can't be tempted, even not by such amazing pillows!" The girl's panicked declaration earned some chuckles from the crowd while Elise did her utmost to keep her gaze lifted upwards to the girl's face, something that proved to be quite an obstacle judging from how often her head bobbed slightly downwards, her eyes clearly trying to do their best to catch a peek at that cleavage, yet her heart commanded otherwise and as such she was forced to lift her gaze again.
"T-Thank you for catching me." The girl responded in a flustered state, truly grateful she had been caught rather than falling onto the ground, even if the method of her caught was... quite entertaining to say the least. Nonetheless, it was fortunate that Elise was able to hold on to her loyalty for her beloved Tetsuko, else gods knew how long she would have tried to snuggle into that cleavage. "I'm sorry about tripping onto you~ My name is Elise, I am a student at Yūei Kōkō." Greeting her with a little smile Elise found herself at least calming down enough as she made a light formal bow, in the end she had learned proper etiquette! Unfortunately for her, that bow was getting her face dangerously close to that bust again as her body jolted upright and she took a deep breath. "Phew, your pillows are more dangerous of a distraction than the guns are..." the girl mumbled under her breath as she looked up at the girl and asked her with a sheepish grin "What is your name?"
A simple question for sure, but at least it would be much more pleasant to be able to call her by her name rather than 'Pillow Fortress'! Still, after a moment she looked at the Railgun and back at the girl and hummed in amusement. "And here I thought the crowd had gathered because of the Railgun, but it seems that you're more interesting than the weapon on display~"
Her statement earned a few flustered reactions from the crowd, some of the younger men clearly turning their gazes away for a moment as she hummed with a smile. "Are you a cosplayer? Because that outfit certainly is not the type they wear in the military." Although the soldiers certainly would have preferred if that had been the case! But she was pretty confident that wasn't the traditional uniform, else her mentor would have told her a long time ago. Actually, she was kinda curious if such an outfit would work on her, but a gaze down to her own bust led only to a dejected sigh. Her own pillow fortress clearly needed to expand its territory if she wanted to have the same level of impact as the lady before her!
"Hehe~ I came here to test guns and instead found a Pillow Fortress, certainly an unusual day." A brief giggle escaped her lips, clearly amused at the situation as she explained further. "I been here since the demonstration first opened, I realy like guns! Like there is something about them that is pretty fascinating to me, especially the more advanced and experimental types." She nodded her head eagerly, seemingly recalling the earlier tests she was running with the experimental ammunition that Tanaka Arms had produced at the Principal's request, but for now, it seemed the engineer was fine with waiting for her to finish talking.
That and she was still holding the rifle, which made it even more amusing. She could already imagine the headlines: Sniper hiding in the cleavage of a busty soldier! Sounded like something for a comedy show! "Umm, do you like guns also? I guess judging from the fact you're at the railgun you might at least be curious about them~" It was a simple deduction, but she really hoped this girl liked guns, in the end most didn't care much about firearms. In fact, the only one she had met so far who was a gunnut like her was Daimon Darren, the loud and flashy bear-wrangler of Yūei Kōkō!
"Did you know that in the hands of the right person a gun can be just as effective as a Quirk? My own quirk isn't really suited for combat, but with a gun like this." She raised the model in her hands up a little and explained further. "I can be just as useful in stopping a villain!" The way she exclaimed it so excitedly was almost endearing, although she couldn't help but notice that while some of the older members of the crowd nodded in agreement at her fondness of guns, quite a few of the younger ones were still staring with lecherous eyes at the 'cosplaying soldier'!
"Did you ever fire a gun before? It can be a bit tricky with the recoil, but once you learn to get used to it, it can be really exciting to wield and try out new ones!"

Yumi pulled her arms back as the girl jolted out of her bust, not yet sure if she was flustered because she wasn't gay, or because she was very gay. Hero words and the term "girflriend" used seemed to answer her question of course, and she gave the girl a faintly cheeky smirk, playfully making grabby hands at the air between them as she inched just a little close, though soon pulled back with a chuckle when she was done speaking. "Oh come ooon~ You tripped.~ Your girlfriend dosn't need to know you enjoyed it.~" When she pulled back she crossed one arm under her bust, balancing her elbow on the back of it's hand and covering her mouth to giggle a little. Unaware to the few murmers in the crowd of people who were either dissapointed by the clear showing that Yumi was interested in other girls (yet remained all the same) and those who just became even more interested in the hopes that that wasn't all she was interested in.
Looking to the girl as she regained her composure, Yumi rested her hand on her cheek, briefly adjusting her shades when they fell down her head onto her eyes and placing them back in her hair. Even the way she was holding herself in this cosplay was a little 'stronger' than usual, her hands usualy crossed or on her hips almost power-posing on the girl, though in her current attire, it really only worked to emphasize her chest when she crossed, or when she fronted, her oddly athletic body type. Years of electrically burning calories tended to have nice, if not entirely practical results, though she had been working on that.
Hearing she was from Yuuei definitely got Yumi's attention though and she brightened up, instantly taking the chance to introduce herself, standing and pointing to the other girl. "You're from Yuuei too!?" She said, briefly sidestepping the comment about how dangerous her pillows where, but she might come back to that, who knows. "I'm class 1 C! President in fact!~" she proudly rested one hand on her hip and one on her chest as she puffed herself up so proudly. She may not have done much as a president yet but she was proud of the fact all the same, and with Alex now helping her she was hoping she could leave some good impressions between her supportive friendliness and his drive and ambitions. She strongly shook Elise's hand in both of her own, grinning wide as she added. "It's so good to meet another student here!~" She then smirked a little more cheekily, leaning in with a playful wink as she let her hand go, resting her own hands behind her back, and inadvertently letting Elise watch her chest hang and sway in her bikini top. "And such a cute one too~"
At the question of her cosplaying, she blushed just a tad, but smiled, looking over herself and giving a more nervous expression as she scratched her cheek. "Not er...professionally or anything, but I do really like to dip into that stuff when I have an excuse...my er...excuse is erm..." It was two reasons really, one was just liking the excuse to show off this cosplay she'd put together, but the other sounded much more fun, if a little more embaressing. She stepped closer, putting a hand to the side of her lips in the cartoon way of hiding what you were saying from others as she whispered. "I...kinda thought the troops might appreciate a little eye candy...~"
Of course the comments about them being weapons and the thing that drew the crowd did make her feel a bit bad, she didn't wanna detract from the base's purpose in guiding so many people here, and was briefly tempted to ask if anyone had a spare jacket she could use but...no. She felt nice, and the attention, while somewhat perverse, was nice too. It was a little personal bit of validation that she could be happy just being herself, and even making a few others enjoy themselves with it too.
"Kind of a shame my Mammaries of mass destruction are distracting from the event i guess..." She let off a soft chuckle, siding up beside the girl a little as she spoke, trying to give the following guys the impression she'd be hanging with her now, casually walking in a way she hoped Elise would follow around the Railgun so they could move and talk at the same time.
"I'm not really a gun fan, I don't really like them in real life but...I guess they can be nice? I did try firing one and even put one together, sort of fun for a hobby but I don't like thinking about what they're use for is all." She winced a little at the thought, but tried to be encouraging to the young girl's ideas as she went on. "You're right though! It's certainly a way to be an effective hero in battle if your quirk dosn't suit it. Personally though I'm more here to see the experimental stuff, all the high tech crap that makes me think I'm in a sci fi world all of a sudden!~"

What in the world had she gotten herself involved in?! Seeing how Yumi was playfully groping the air between them Elise found instinctively an arm raised to cover her bust as she found a warmth spreading across her cheeks, a blush of embarrassment emerged onto her cheeks as she replied in a flustered reaction. "Even if it was a landing that I certainly enjoyed, I-I can't stay at another pillow fortress!" Yes! the only pillow fortress that she was the princess off was the one belonging to Tetsuko Shindou, and she had promised to be loyal and would do everything within her might to keep that promise! Even if she came to face such a powerful threat as Yumi's breasts!
Taking a deep breath as she regained her composure Elise's arm shifted back to her side as she looked up at Yumi. Even if she didn't want to say it out loud, Yumi certainly had a figure that explained why she could turn so many eyes that easily. Everything about her, whether it was her playful mannerisms, her beautiful looks, her athletic figure or her well-developed features screamed sex appeal like in a way that she couldn't help but wonder if the girl might have appeared straight out of a Seinen manga to appeal to horny teenagers!
It appeared that her comment about being a member of a certain academy had earned an even more energetic reaction from Yumi, the way she was so cheerful and outgoing reminded her of herself, and to be honest it was kinda refreshing dealing with someone who had so much energy. Sometimes she felt others might have felt a bit overwhelmed by her enthusiasm! "Class 1C's president..." she hummed softly, not having received a name at her question just yet, not that she needed one after that revelation! One could say that the C course was quite famous and colorful in its own way, and their president was in no way any different. "Ah! you must be Yumi~" Elise affirmed with a grin as she shook the girl's hand in return. Yet it seemed that Yumi was still far from done with teasing the poor girl, the way she leaned forward and pulled her hands behind her back, those pillowy breasts swaying lightly in that tight bikini top being akin to a hypnotism spell being cast onto her. Hey who could blame her?! Just like most of the guys in the crowd she liked breasts just as much as they did! And every connoisseur of pillows knew that it was a foolish notion to try not to glimpse at them...
Yet when she was called cute? Her face turned red enough that if she could have done it, steam would have poofed out of her head! "C-Cute?!" she stammered in disbelief, lightly rubbing her fingers against each other as she fidgetted lightly on the spot. "Only one person aside from my girlfriend called me cute before..." Elise answered with a sheepish smile, clearly enjoying the compliment just as much as it embarrassed her! "B-But you're even cuter!" the girl stammered out as she averted her gaze from those swaying pillows, lest she'd be ensnared and find herself taking a nap onto them soon!
When Yumi clarified that she usually didn't cosplay professionally and blushed at the question Elise couldn't help but briefly think: god be damned, she looks so cute when embarrassed! It almost made her want to tease Yumi, if not for the fact the backlash would absolutely annihilate her! Yeah, there was no doubt that teasing Yumi was dangerous like it was akin to stuffing your face into a bazooka and telling someone to fire it! Or like playing soccer and kicking the ball in your own goal! "An excuse?" she repeated, clearly interested to find out what reason Yumi had for getting into such a revealing outfit, and when she made that motion of covering her mouth with her hand Elise leaned in so the girl could whisper into her ear. Eye-candy? she certainly was being super effective with it.
"Yumi, I think you became the hero of this crowd with that excuse~ A hero of a lewd seinen manga that is..."
The girl remarked with a sheepish snicker at her jest while their conversation continued. "Your Pillows of destruction likely could function as the crash cushions of a truck, no that might be a bad idea cause the trucker might be tempted to crash on purpose then." A weak smile lingered on her lips as they, fortunately, changed the focus of the topic from breasts onto firearms, something Elise was less embarrassed to talk about. "That's a misunderstanding most people make Yumi~ Guns aren't always weapons of destruction, with the right ammunition you can turn them into capturing weaponry, or even long range healing projectiles~" she clearly was excited to talk about the experimental stuff as she walked beside Yumi away from the crowd and along the railgun. "You see, Tanaka Arms has been working on more experimental weaponry that could help heroes who lack combat capacities like myself. In a way it all sounds rather futuristic, for example a laser gun that shoots a tazer strong enough to knock someone out, or is able to blind someone with a powerful flash. Sometimes it's amazing what type of things technology can do."
She grinned sheepishly as she looked up at Yumi once more and remarked with a smile. "Then again, you don't really look like the type who would take a gun to a fight, even if those pillows of yours likely could absorb most of the recoil." she teasingly remarked while deciding to ask a question that had been lingering on her mind. "So since you're part of the hero course I imagine you want to become a hero, right? Any particular reason? I mean, sure the crowds will be happy to have a busty savior, but I'm more interested to find out the reason of the girl behind the pillows~"

Yumi smirked as she seemed to be recognized, chuckling a little at the mere fact. She hadn't realized she'd slipped and not mentioned her name, but the fact she could be recognized just from here title was good. It said she was doing well as class president to get her name so easily associated with her position in the class. Of course it could just be other rumors spreading, and her title being attatched to them later, but she preferred to think she WAS doing a good job, even if Alex was probably doing a much better one with how competitive she could be. "Yeah!~ That's me!~ Sorry I let it slip but good to know my reputation proceeds me...or is it preceeds...?" She shrugged, feeling it didn't matter that much.
"Yeah you're cute!~ Look at you!~" She gestured over the girl, sure they may have had very different curves, but almost everyone at UA was a bit of a looker on some sense of the scale, and Elise here was no different, though she wasn't about to list off why and embaress the girl beyond gesturing at her like some cute-ass display here. "I dunno about cute myself, but I guess a few people have told me that~" She cocked her hips, placing a finger to her chin as she thought about it. Hot and sexy were more on the menu for the compliments aimed at her, but those weren't exactly things she appreciated. Like they were nice to hear, but not exactly 'nice' in nature. Her being hot was good, but there were less obvious things to point out ya know??
She snickered as she was described as a hero, chuckling and shaking her head. "Seinen's all blood and gore these days right? I mean, can I at least just be some general ecchi character in a shonen manga?~ I'd like to think I have some sense of innocence to me afterall.~" She gave a playfully wink and a light push of Elise's shoulder in a playful manner, but with the recent exercise she'd been doing it might have been just a slightly harder push than she anticipated it to be, though she'd rapidly apologize if it did so much as even push the other girl off balance.
Hearing more about the guns she was definitely interested, and was glad to hear someone like the girl before her could be equally strong in combat with the aid of such devices. In a way she guessed her gauntlets were like an extension of the same concept, channelling the shit she could do into a useful, competent form...yeah. Yeah she supposed that was right. Suddenly she remembered her gauntlets, and looked around, picking up the dufflebag she'd been carrying most ofthe day, having left it for a second to ease the weight on her shoulders...next time Valda upgraded her suit, she'd ask for more lightweight materials on those damn metallic parts.
"Well-" She was about to try and open to talking about her gauntlets, but when the girl talked about her aspirations...Yumi scratched her cheek nervously. She'd explained the hero situation with her to a few people, and she wasn't against being honest about it so long as she was sure no one told the teachers about it, but Elise...she seemed pretty gung ho about the idea of being a hero, and Yumi felt maybe she'd get to know her a bit more before expressing her own doubts in becoming one. "Its er...complicated...hey!" Looking for a distraction she thought back to her gauntlets and patted the girl on the shoulder. "Follow me to the shooting range I got something you might wanna see!~"

Noticing Yumi's smirk and the way she seemed to react so positively to being recognized was just as much endearing as it was adorable, her hands gently folding behind her back she took a few steps forwards and briefly turned to look at Yumi with a smirk as she replied teasingly. "Well~ Your class is pretty... what's the term, colorful? Like people often say that the more energetic and ahem." She paused for a moment and made a gesture with her fingers into the air as if she was including quotes " 'unique' students. Then again, after meeting some of your classmates like Kirk and Darren I can see what they mean." A soft chuckle escaped her lips as she stepped beside Yumi again and continued her explanation on why she had recognized the girl's name. "Not in a bad way, having a class with so many interesting people makes the experience all the more exciting, right?"
While she certainly was fond of General Studies, Elise had to admit it felt a bit plain in comparison to the stories she had heard from the other classes, even if her priorities for enrolling into the B course were much different than simply wanting to get in an exciting class. It was after all a fact, that Elise picked the class, in particular, to be closer to Tetsuko, in the end, the sun needed her sunshine if it wanted to have a purpose.
A sheepish grin lingered on her lips at Yumi's compliment as she nodded her head lightly in response. "Mhmm~ The way you reacted when I mentioned your cosplaying earlier? That was cute!" Clarifying the meaning of her choice of words, it was clear the girl considered the short moment of Yumi's embarrassment to be something she considered cute. Nonetheless, she was quick to change the subject back to something else, lest she would soon find herself on the receiving end of Teasing Master Yumi's attack.
"Are they? I mean there is plenty of Seinen manga, or perhaps you'd prefer to be the ecchi senpai of a yuri manga couple?" Snickering in return to Yumi's remark about the nature of Seinen manga nowadays, the light push despite its slight increase in power didn't seem to cause any problems for Elise, courtesy of the fact it was against her shoulder and it was somewhat similar to the force she felt from the recoil of her gun.
However, as they talked about the guns and her explanation how with the right ammunition even firearms could be used in a way similar to a quirk, a momentary pause followed as she noticed Yumi scratch her cheek, the gesture making her tilt her head back to the side in confusion. "Complicated?" She mused softly, seemingly a bit bewildered by the choice of words when all of a sudden Yumi exclaimed excitedly to follow her to the range. "Ah... we might cause a bit of a commotion if we go there Yumi~ But sure! I'm curious to see what surprise you got in mind."
The girl exclaimed with a smile at the pat on her shoulder and followed Yumi to the shooting range. Of course, just as she had predicted the moment they arrived at the shooting range something rather amusing happened. Some of the privates who had been demonstrating how to wield the guns, or how to reload them or even some who were showing how to fire them had noticed the arrival of the two girls, one of them calling out in amusement. "Look! it's Private Fan-service, and she brought along Delta Force!"
A hearty laugh came from the engineers and soldiers who were on duty, one of the veterans approaching the duo. "Nice to see ya again lass, here to give us another show with one of the rifles?" However, in response to the question, Elise shook her head lightly, a slight raise of her hand and an attempt to lightly tap Yumi on her back to make her step forward made Elise declare with a smile. "Maybe later~ For the time being, my friend has something she wants to show me, can we use one of the areas?" The girl asked, making the veteran raise a hand to his chin to ponder for a moment. "Well, we do have one of the areas used for the privates... Ya know what? I'll let the two of you use it, but in return, ya gotta promise us to show us more of your shooting later. Does that sound good pals?!"
The man called out to the other soldiers, who all nodded their head in agreement. "Hell yeah! A show put up by Private Fan-Service and Delta Force? I'm gonna grab some popcorn!" Of course this energetic welcome would likely surprise Yumi lightly, so Elise explained with an awkward chuckle. "I guess the past few days I been getting a bit of a reputation around here, or maybe it was because Darren was so loud when we held that shooting contest between us?" She paused for a moment, seemingly thinking about the answer before she resumed her explanation. "I'm pretty good with using firearms." The engineer that was leading them to the shooting range section mostly left for the privates laughed in amusement. "Good she says, damd girl shoots a sniper better than any of us, think only the lieutenant might be a better shot than her."
A sheepish grin lingered on her lips as they arrived at the shooting range, several machines ready to set it into motion. Whether she wanted to release some floating projectiles into the air to target practice, hit stationary dummies or even those who moved on rails, it was all pretty easy to be set up. "So what did you want to show me Yumi?" Seems that Elise clearly was interested in whatever show the girl had in mind. Still, she couldn't help but feel somewhat embarassed at the fact there were already a few privates gathering to watch them!

Smirking a little at the way the air quotes were used on unique, Yumi smirked as the reputation of class C continued to go ahead in the same direction. What exactly gave them that reputation she didn't know, afterall it wasn't like they had a wildling, an overly intimate red-head, an idol/model, a super delinquent, Kirk, an overly competitive shadow dude, and - okay ya know what their reputation was well earned they were a class of very unique people, but Yumi wasn't about to let that comment fly, resting her hands on her hips and looking Elise up and down with a playful smirk. "Oh yeah, glad you said being unique wasn't bad. Afterall your class as a little cutie that invades pillow fortresses head first, so being unique better not be a bad thing, cause that little munchkin's VERY unique.~" She tapped her chin with an even more playful smirk, sticking her tongue out teasingly before the conversation moved forward.
She rolled her eyes at being called cute again, but as they debated what manga she belonged to, she smirked wide and chuckled. "Oh yeah, I mean, I'm definitely open to more than Yuri, but that definitely sounds more my style.~ Ecchi yuris tend to be a little more playful like me anyway.~" She stuck out her tongue again, and started to get the two moving towards the shooting ranges as Elise seemed eager to see what she was on about, glad she didn't have to explain her views on being a hero to someone new and just pushing herself towards the firing range, watching Elise have her little banter as Yumi herself pulled her gauntlet out of her dufflebag, resting it down beside the range as she equipped the metallic hand-covering, the blue circle in the palm burning with a bright blue shade.
"Look at you already showin' off and leavin' an impression. And a sniper eh? Sounds like a big gun for you, which just makes it doubly impressive.~" Smiling back at her, Yumi waited for one of the targets to line up before putting her hand forward. To avoid needing to get in and out of her costume every time, she'd been working on firing off her gauntlet without charging the rest of her body, and while not impossible, it did take a moment of concentration for her to do it reliably without hurting the girl next to her.
Eventually though, Yumi felt the charge in the gauntlet, and fired off a bolt of electrical energy across the firing range towards the target at the other end, the air sizzling from the shot in a satisfying way, as Yumi held a confident smirk at her own marksmanship. She was no expert, but the fact she'd even hit the target and left a burning hole in the cut-out's chest was innately satisfying!~
"My own little 'gun'!~ Thought you'd like it!~"

"That totally wasn't intentional!" Elise protested, already feeling her cheeks regain their red hue as a blush of embarrassment spread across her cheeks. It was kind of an amusing thing, in a way Yumi's teasing felt similar to how she herself teased Tetsuko, and as such being on the receiving end of such remarks and actions wasn't entirely unpleasant either! Still, when they conversed a bit more about what type of manga genre would fit Yumi the most, Elise couldn't help but find herself steadily getting convinced that an ecchi yuri manga would fit Yumi the best, there was something about the girl's carefree teasing that really would fit perfectly in a genre like that, and perhaps it made her all the more dangerous for the burgundy-haired lass who had a weak spot for being teased in the way Yumi did! Yes, Yumi might have been the most dangerous pillow fortress she had ever encountered in her entire existence! As if a Siren was singing a song within the fortress and was trying to tempt her back inside! Then again, weren't Siren their voices supposed to only work on men? Or perhaps it also worked on perverts... Maybe something for her to read up on in the future!
As they arrived at the firing range it became clear that Elise had made quite an impression on the soldiers that staffed the firing range, something that made her grin sheepishly as she turned toward Yumi and found her briefly distracted by the glove-like gadget she had revealed from the duffel bag. Of course, her first reaction was one of curiosity, in the end, she had never seen a glove like that before, and she did know plenty of brands when it came to clothing! However, a temporary distraction came in the form of her reputation among the firing range, making her nod her head sheepishly while humming softly. "Mhmm~ I been taught how to use firearms, you should have seen Darren's face when he first saw me shoot a gun~ Although, sniper rifles are my favorite type of firearm, there is something about being able to reach so far with them that is incredibly satisfying." To reach beyond her limits, it sounded almost like something from a martial arts movie! However, before she had the chance to think further on the matter Yumi decided to give a little performance of her own, raising her gloved hand and pointed it toward the target dummy when something incredible happened. Like straight from a fantasy game she shot a bolt of lightning right at the dummy! If she didn't know better it might have been the magical spell: Lightning Arrow! Wait, there was no such thing as magic, was that her homeroom teacher his shenanigans already influencing her?
"That's amazing! I didn't expect that you'd be able to shoot bolts of lightning from that glove! How does it work? Is there some special battery inside it that convert electricity into a projectile? Or is there some sort of connection to your Quirk that empowers it? That looked like something straight from a video game~"

"Uh-huh. Suuuuure.~" She teased back just before they got moving with a playful little wink.
At the firing range as she was fixing her glove into place, she looked over to the girl as Darren's name came up, suddenly snickering at the idea of him with a look of shock on his face. It wasn't too easy to imagine, but something about the image of him dealing with a little girl suddenly showing how deadly she was with a gun...yeah, Darren'd quietly be shitting himself if that happened, probably telling himself not to get on her bad side any time soon. "Oh damn you have got to tell me more about that once we're done here! Darren with a look of dread on his face I bet?" She smirked big and wide before turning her eyes to the target again, wiggling her fingers to make sure the gauntlet was nice and tight on her hand so there wouldn't be any loose electricity sparking her potential new friend.
Once her shot had been made and Elise started asking questions, Yumi's curled lips turned a little more nervous as she looked to her gauntlet, slowly taking it off and looking on the inside, the weird electrical circuitry lining the padded insides making absolutely no sense to her, though her friend had tried to explain it many times in the past. "No clue if I'm honest. A friend online, Valda, she designed it for me to go along with the suit she designed too. I only just got it upgraded to work without the suit but er..." She tried to think of how best to approach it. "Typically, my suit helps contain my quirk so im not zapping everyone around me. It basically powers the suit subtly like a closed circuit and lets me keep charged without hurting anyone. The gauntlet taps into the charge and powers itself up from my quirk, and then fires it off...Oh!"
She put her bag on the ground and started pulling out the parts of her suit, the skin tight suit with circuit like patterns of it, and some metallic boots similar to the gauntlet, though it had blue outlets on the base of the feet and one behind the heel. "These are the other parts, told ya about the suit, but the boots discharge some...electro field? Dunno, it all goes over my head, but basically Valda gave me hover boots like shadow the hedgehog!~" She paused, then lifted her head to elise. "Er...he still relevant at all these days? Know thats a bit of a nerdy referance."

Hearing the teasing remark made by Yumi Elise's cheeks rapidly regained their red hue, averting her gaze as she mumbled something about the attraction from those pillows being simply too strong for a poor girl like herself to resist. It only made sense! As an admirer of pillows, someone like Yumi was a lethal force, and the only protection Elise had was her loyalty toward her iron-blooded knight. Sure, Yumi might end up winning in size, but in terms of softness? Pondering for a moment Elise felt her hands open and close a few times as if she was trying to recall the softness of a particular pair of pillows before she looked at Yumi and replied with a smirk. "You might win on size, but I believe my girlfriend beats you when it comes to softness and shape~" Elise replied with a mischievous smirk, clearly trying to have the last tease in their little game.
"Hehe~ He asked what a child soldier was doing in General Studies~" Elise hummed with a soft giggle, clearly pleased at the conversation she had started with Yumi. However, the gauntlet and its 'shocking', no puns intended, display clearly left Elise in a state of excitement where she was all eyes and ears for Yumi, and for once there was no perverted innuendo involved there!
"Hmm I see~" Elise mused softly, a hand raised to her chin as she continued to ponder out loud. "If your quirk was to involve discharging electricity then the collateral damage would be a high risk indeed. While electricity can be contained, when it is unleashed without any restrains it can be incredibly wild and sees no difference between friend and foe." A soft humming followed as she looked a bit closer at the gauntlet. "So the suit pretty much makes it so you can discharge your electricity in controlled bursts with the gauntlet, without risking frying anyone near you? That's pretty cool~" The girl chimed in, clearly excited at the whole direction the conversation was taking.
"Your boots make you able to hover?!" The girl exclaimed in disbelief as she clapped her hands together in excitement. "That's even more amazing! To think that you can do all this stuff simply with your Quirk and assistance from gadgets like the gauntlet and suit." It made her feel a little bit inferior when her quirk was compared to that in awesomeness level. In the end, shooting lightning bolts and hovering around was infinitely cooler than kissing someone to tend to their injuries! "Your Quirk certainly is way more interesting than mine... I don't think kissing someone to heal them is going to be anywhere as awesome as shooting bolts of lightning or hovering in the air."
However, when she heard a certain game hero being referred to Elise sheepishly rubbed the back of her head. "I know what a hedgehog is, but never seen a hovering one before~ Sounds kind of scary, like imagine one rolling up into a ball and then blasting off toward a villain! That's one prickly mess I don't want to imagine the consequences of." A hearty laugh escaped the girl's lips as she seemingly was clearly amused by the mental image that the name brought forth. "Still, it really is a very cool power to possess~ Hehe, I guess your good looks aren't the only shocking part of you." Elise mused teasingly as she looked at the firing range some more. The soldiers did permit them to use the firing range in exchange for a little show, and she might have had an idea in mind. "Hey Yumi~ Are you interested in a little 'game' of sorts?"
Elise gestured toward the nearby target dummies and mused softly. "I was thinking, but in terms of speed and ability to hit multiple targets, have you tried to make forked blasts yet, or better said try to hit multiple targets with one attack?" A curious idea for sure, and she soon would explain the reasoning behind her idea. "There is something I been wanting to test, you see~ my skill is primarily found in sniping, so I tend to prioritize a single target, but I want to try and see if I can hit multiple targets through some experimental weaponry they been designing here."
One of the engineers looked at her in bewilderment and mused softly. "Who told the girl about the MTA rifle we been working on?" but the engineer's protest only earned some hearty laughter from the crew who told him to go and pick up the weapon. "Simply said, I want to see if we both can hit multiple targets within a short span of each other. Basically, target up to two or three dummies on the field, and I try to hit all of them within the span of three seconds~"
Of course, it all depended on if Yumi's gauntlet was even capable of sending out forked blasts of lightning! If she couldn't, then their game would be difficult to play, not that Elise minded, it was just an idea, for she soon explained the reasoning behind the idea. "Well~ We did promise to give them a show, and I thought you might be more in the mood to give them a shooting spectacle to enjoy. Unless Private Fan-Service wants to give the crowd some fanservice instead~"
However, it took a moment for Elise to realize the implications of that, her cheeks flushing up as she exclaimed in a panic. "I don't mean that I will be visiting your pillow fortress again! I mean... it's not that I disliked it but... it's kinda embarrassing and I'm not that good being on the receiving end of such teasing..." Elise muttered in embarrassment, clearly not used to this type of situation. Indeed, Elise von Eisenberg was usually the one in the role of the teasing, so to imagine she was on the receiving end of such an experience... it certainly, and without a doubt was an unusual feeling for her!

Yumi was actually a bit stunned by the choice of words there, wondering what she was talking about till she looked down to her own chest, her hand clasping over her mouth and nose as she snickered into it and shaking her head into her palm till she calmed down, smirking confidently as she put her hands on her hips, one still coated in a layer of metal as she semi proudly pushed her chest up and out. “Well I suppose I’ll have to take your word for that. I suppose I’m a bit more of a firm girl, but I dunno about shape. I think I have some pretty solid perkiness to my gals ya know? I mean sure they can get a little too soft and rounded sometimes-“ She casually lifted her hands, hooking her thumbs into her bikini straps, lifting them and letting her chest drop again with a gentle jiggle as they did, adjusting the bottom of the bikini cups so it fit properly afterward all the same. Ever oblivious to any effect all that might have had on the poor girl beside her as Yumi just thought about how sometimes she could get a little too much weight flowing to her chest. “But then again all I need to do to fix that is head out somewhere people don’t go, discharge a couple charges worth of electricity, and suddenly I’m cuddle-fit again.~” She stuck out her tongue with a playful wink as the topics moved forward.
She smirked a little about the child soldier talk but her mind next truly focused on her quirk, nodding along slowly as the other girl seemed to hit the nail on the head more than she might have realized. “My quirk is basically a wild discharge of electricity, so stuff like this gauntlet and the suit basically does what you say yeah. Controlled bursts, or using it to power other gadgets, like these hover boots my friend invented, that’s what my quirk ultimately amounts to, a living battery for gadgets…but…” She lifted her hand and flexed her fingers in and out of her palm, picturing it both with and without the gauntlet, some light sparks dancing around her forearm, something she wouldn’t have been able to do the first days she came to UA, and such a minimal output a great show of restraint compared to what her quirk often did. “I’m working on making myself better, making sure I can control the quirk without my gear ya know? I wanna start actually…working to control this thing, rather than just Harness it. I wanna make it mine, rather than this wild animal I just remember to put a leash on now and then…ya know?”
She snickered at the girl’s excitement about the hover boots, rolling her eyes. “Oh it’s nothing special. I mean, I can super charge them for a special super-jump, but really they may as well be roller skates. That’s how I end up moving when I wear them. My friend’s working on developing them to the point they might act as a form of flight, but I ain’t holding my breath for now.” She shrugged casually and folded her arms, she did like the idea of being a flying her, but she wasn’t gonna hold out for something so cool landing in her lap of all laps.
“Really it ain’t nothing special, I’m just a battery like I said, my friend is the one who makes the cool shit. Maybe I should give you their discord sometime, I get the vibe you two would really get along.~” She blinked at the comment about kissing someone to heal them…had she mentioned her quirk before and Yumi missed it? She opened her mouth to ask about it but Elise seemed to be moving along pretty quickly, leaving Yumi snickering at the comment about a hovering hedgehog. “His name is shadow the hedgehog, old video game idol…or…part of a franchise I guess? I dunno, I think this blue one was the main character but the black one was more popular or somethi-ANYWAY” She stopped herself before she rambled, snickering at herself and shaking her head, catching the comment of a game and narrowing her eyes, crossing her arms as she listened to her go on.
“Hmmm…I suppose I’ll take you on, but my gaintlet ain’t long range, and I ain’t no marksman…so how about to be fair, your targets are double the distance mine will be. How’s that sound hun? Fair deal?~” She fixed her gauntlet in place and offered her hand to shake, the metal coated one to be sure. It wasn’t capable of forked blasts, but already, Yumi was getting a weird little idea brewing in the back of her head. So long as she could keep the distance she was firing short, she might be able to pull this off, and if not, she could proooobably win by bending the rules a little in a double or nothing situation.
“In fact, why don’t we make it a little more interesting?~” She offered a small wink, ignoring the flustered words of the girl as some of the more vigorous side of her personality came out, the side Darren and Jaz had been helping her to develop, She raised a metal coated finger to hold Elise’s attention and smirked deviously as she offered her little deal.
“Whoever wins get to get one wish out of the other, within reason.~” she smirked and added- “Of course we’re not exactly genies, but you get the gist right? Whoever wins gets to make one, within reason order the other cannot refuse. Make the other do their laundry, make the other do their homework, maybe even make the other serve as their lap pillow for a full day. Whatever comes to your mind, you get to ask of me if you win.” She held herself in a confident pose, not actually convinced she’d win, but finding the idea of this little wager making things far more amusing. “Watcha say?”

Strike! Elise couldn't help but snicker for a moment when she saw how her choice of words had stunned Yumi, the gaze downwards at the well-developed chest of the electrifying lass seemingly conveying the message correctly. "Mhmm you do~" Elise nodded her head in agreement, clearly entertained by this choice of conversation as she continued to clarify a bit further. "Mhmm both of you are pretty firm and have that solid perkiness to your pillows, but I guess it's because of her training that Tetsuko's softness and well-rounded shape are just perfect~" A sheepish grin lingered on her lips, her mind already wandering back to the sensations she was recalling yet it seemed that Yumi had some counter-teasing in mind, for she casually lifted her hands and hooked her thumbs onto her bikini straps, the sudden lift and playful jiggle of those pillowy breasts making the burgundy-haired lass her cheeks flush up lightly in embarrassment. Gods, Yumi really was trying her utmost to subtly tempt her, even if she wasn't even sure if the red-haired lass was aware of just how tempting she was!
"Mhmm, I guess that makes sense~" Elise nodded her head slightly in agreement, seemingly thinking about the matter of quirks for a bit. She never really had to worry about control herself, after all, Elise's quirk was an unusual combination of a Mutation and Emitter type, and as such her quirk was constantly active. Even now it was passively flowing through her body, keeping her at an optimal healthy state and considering the nature of her power it was understandable that control wasn't exactly something she truly needed. After all, recent endeavors into investigating her quirk had shown no negative side-effects to frequent intake of her bodily fluids, and that was reassuring to hear if she thought back about certain misadventures involving her girlfriend and her fondness for kissing a certain iron-blooded girl.
So, it seemed that despite her quirk and the hover boots, Yumi still couldn't actually fly or properly hover in the air, it was more akin to roller skates which could be overcharged for a super jump? Sure, that was a bit less impressive, but it still sounded like a lot of fun to her! "Hehe~ If I didn't know better I thought you would be charged up with teasing rather than electricity." Elise chimed in, yet their conversation resumed quickly onto the subject of a certain video game character and a black colored side-character who was seemingly more popular for one reason or another.
"It's not about the range Yumi~ It's about the precision with which you fire, but considering the distance we might have to adjust the ruling slightly else the bullets might not reach in time. I'll fire at double your distance, but instead of having a 3 seconds we'll make it ten seconds~ Or we can simply make it that I won't get to miss a shot" Of course, unless Yumi had seen her in action before the rule of being able to hit within a period of time would sound easier than not being allowed to miss a shot.
Of course, it seemed that Yumi had an idea of her own, quite a devious one at that also as she suggested an idea to make things more interesting. The playful wink and the mischievous smirk spoke book parts, and soon the burgundy-haired lass found herself caught right in the middle of a little bet. "Hmm, something more interesting?" Yumi's idea did make her wonder about something, and yet nothing had her prepared to hear the girl suggest what would come: Whoever would win, could get one wish asked out of the other, as long as it was within reason. Her gaze turned toward Yumi, at first, she was merely blinking in confusion wondering what in the world the girl had been thinking to make that proposal. Was she that confident that she would outgun someone like her who was trained by an expert at firearms like Kobayashi? Of course, her competitive spirit was stirring slowly, and soon the young Von Eisenberg lass couldn't help but start to think:
What could I possibly ask of her?
To ask Yumi anything within reason? For a moment her cheeks flushed up at the comment of serving as a lap pillow for an entire day, yet it seemed that the vivid imagination of the burgundy-haired lass was already starting to stir, to think she had the opportunity to ask Yumi certain things she would normally never ask someone! Of course, the temptation was too strong to resist! "Fine! I take you on for that challenge~"
Elise mused in agreement as she turned toward the firing range. "Hmm, the weather seems quite nice also, so you shouldn't have to worry about distractions, well unlike me who has to worry about a certain lass whose pillows are bouncing around with the same energy as a landmine waiting to detonate." Elise teasingly commented, clearly entertained by Yumi's presence. She was actually a bit curious what type of idea the girl had in mind to be able to hit multiple targets in a short period of time. Considering her method of usage and weapon it was likely she had some sort of plan, or would be aiming at targets positioned closely to one another, so while the burgundy-haired lass skillfully started to load her sniper rifle she waited to see what Yumi would do.
Maybe I'll ask her to cosplay... Or use her pillows as a pillow to nap on---- wait no, that last one is forbidden! That's something I'm only supposed to do with Tetsuko!
Indeed, it seemed that the idea of a little bet certainly had made Elise more energetic and motivated to participate in this little game of theirs. With the agreement to the terms, Yumi also agreed to the idea that they should change the rules up a little to be fair. “Double the distance and…9 seconds. Triple the time.~” She smirked playfully, knowing one second could make all the difference but more so choosing nine seconds just to be playful. She knew if her trick worked and she could pull it off, her own time limit wouldn’t matter, so she just needed to make sure she could pull it off, perhaps consistently fi they could both do it and started playing double or nothing till one of them slipped up…damn what would she do with two wishes? She didn’t even know what she’d do with one. She’d kinda made the wish bet up solely because she knew Elise would probably win with the bragging she’d had about her use of guns earlier, and she seemed like a sweet girl, someone Yumi could trust with the power of a wish over her. Still if this turned into a series of double or nothings…hoo boy that could have some results there now couldn’t it? Only so many times you can have the power of absolute control before you started getting creative no matter how sweet you were.
Still, the terms were accepted and Yumi made sure she was ready to fire if it came to it. She snickered at the comment about her bust and rolled her eyes, rolling back her shoulders as one of the soldiers who’d heard their bet started setting up the targets in the shooting range, first getting them at Yumi’s agreed upon distance. “You wanna go get your experimental gun thing you were talking about so you’re ready?~” Yumi offered a sweet smile and let Elise go to get it if she needed it, while Yumi flexed the fingers in her gauntlet. The three targets were roughly in a line with some distance between them. A sharpshooter could fire off 3 shots in a line like that with ease, but Yumi wanted to see if she could pull this off in a different way. She lifted her metal hand, the soldier to their side saying he’d snap his fingers as a signal for them to make their first shot.
Yumi focused her breath as her gauntlet was clearly charging, Wanting to try the trick in her head, she slid her other hand under her gauntlet, and pushed her fingers up over the palm of it, her two middle fingers together, while her pinky and her index spread out at roughly the same distance from her ring and middle finger. The moment she heard the snap to start the game, there was a soft hum from her gauntlet before she fired, one shot dividing into 3, while her body held strong against the electrical shock of a current she found so familiar. Two of the targets got a scorch mark, but Yumi was so surprised it even worked, she barely managed to lock onto the fact the third target still needed to be shot. Fumbling for a brief moment she managed to just barely fire and singe the edge of the target, counting as a hit in the eyes of the soldier, but leaving Yumi with just a glad feeling that she’d managed to pull it off in the first place.
“C-close one…” She let out a weak laugh and turned her eyes back to the other girl. She knew that if Elise could even pull it off, she’d pretty much have the win since she could probably do it in half the time. “Your turn.”

Nine seconds, if she considered the timing between each shot then she had about two seconds to handle the recoil in between each shot. For most that would be quite tricky to do, a larger gun obviously meant more recoil, but then again it wasn't like most people had enjoyed the training she had undergone. "Sure~" the burgundy-haired lass chimed in with a grin, clearly looking forward to their little bet. She had to admit that at first, she had suggested the idea of a little shooting game merely to give the two of them a distraction, but then Yumi had come up with such an entertaining proposal, a little bet that Elise couldn't possibly refuse. If she was being entirely honest, while Elise von Eisenberg wasn't exactly a competitive person, she took pride in her skills with firearms, especially because of the way she had trained them, or rather by who she had been taught. However, when you end up adding the offer of getting anything reasonable granted as a wish by a sexy vixen? Obviously, it was a temptation the Germanic lass couldn't refuse. Still, she couldn't help but find her lips curving into a grin as thoughts started to wander through her mind. What would she wish for if she won? Or what type of thing would Yumi end up wishing of her if she ended up winning? There were so many possible things that could happen, and that made it all the more exciting!
With the terms accepted and Yumi seemingly preparing to fire once both sides were ready, the lass tilted her head slightly to the side as she clearly was considering Yumi's question. While the experimental gun would make things easier for her, it seemed the lass had a different idea in mind. "Nah, I'll use a regular rifle, if I was to use a weapon like the one they are working on it wouldn't feel as if I bested you on skills alone~"
Indeed, using a gadget to lock on targets, as useful as it was also sounded quite cheap, one could even call it a cheat but Elise also had a more tactical reason for it. She likely could use her trained sniper instincts to properly calculate her targets and method of firing faster than the gadget could mark her targets, so with consideration of the time limit it was in her best interests to use her own skills rather than technological devices to grant her an edge in this bet. As Elise was handed a regular rifle Yumi herself was seemingly preparing for the challenge, and with Yumi clearly ready to fire Elise adopted her firing stance. If there was one thing that made Elise different from an ordinary master of firearms, then it was the fact that the burgundy-haired lass her approach to recoil was a lot different than most. You see, usually, someone with a lithe frame like her would get overwhelmed by the recoil, and in a stance like this another person would find their muscles getting strained with each shot or worse they could even tear. Fighting recoil was a foolish notion, so she took it the opposite way, embracing it to its fullest, ignoring the backlash simply because of her quirk.
It did give her the advantage of being able to make much faster shots than the average person without reducing her accuracy. When the soldier snapped his fingers for the signal Yumi revealed that Elise's earlier assumption on the potential of the girl's quirk was on the mark, for she cleverly made a forked bolt of lightning. However, it was at point that Yumi would likely have the chance to notice the change in the burgundy-haired lass her presence and demeanor. Her eyes sharpened into a focused gaze, similar to a certain predatorial bird, her finger resting on the trigger.
As the first bolt of lightning struck the dummy cleanly one of the soldiers gasped in surprise, while another one was clearly looking with wonderous eyes as the bolt forked off and hit another target near it with just as much precision, and even if the third one was a glancing blow, it still counted as a hit and as such the soldiers applauded 'Private Fanservice' her performance.
However, at the same time, the third dummy got hit and the applause began it became evident why Elise held such confidence in her shooting skills. Just around the same time that Yumi turned her eyes toward Elise a trio of soft 'bangs' resounded through the air, a rapid burst as one could easily pace in the timing between each shot. To most, it would have sounded instantaneously, but to those with a timer, it would have been clear there was not even more than a full second between each shot of the rifle. Lifting her gaze up to Yumi that predator gaze and presence quickly faded away as the girl smiled sheepishly at her. "Woops, did I fire too early?"
However, if the other soldiers were flabbergasted earlier, they were in sheer shock of disbelief at what had just happened. They often say that a sniper's skill is partly connected to their sight, breathing control and 'Reaction Time', of course aiming skill and the ability to know when to take a shot are equally important, but one of the most vital aspects of being able to snipe was one's ability to rapidly react to the Sight Picture, or simply said the things they were seeing. Often one was given only a split second of an opportunity to react, and as such some even could fire a shot within each heartbeat.
This was what happened when Elise fired just now. With her training one could say her breathing control and reaction time were off the charts compared to most, after all, there was a reason some would compare her to an Olympic games gold medal winner if shooting was a sport. Within each heartbeat she had fired at least once, but it was not just the pace of her shots that was impressive. As one of the soldiers went to examine the targets he came back, his face slightly pale as he revealed the results.
"She shot the ones at the back, roughly five times the distance... all of them were shot cleanly in the head." The other soldiers couldn't believe their ears, in less than four seconds the lass had fired at three targets five hundred meters away from their location! "Hehe~ It's only because they were stationary if they moved it would take more time to consider the condition of the wind and calculating the proper trajectory. I think my sensei can fire even faster than me~"
