Blind Panic [Earthquake; G & Hana]

In situations like this; even if it was a small earthquake, never ask yourself what is the worst that could happen. She could only hold on to herself, hands on her shoulders, shaking like a leaf because she was afraid of what might happen. There were so many things that would go wrong and she did not even have the voice to scream when things splattered off the shelves and she was trembling like a little earthquake herself. She should get Kai, she should do something. She was so deadly afraid of any consequences, what if a tree would fall on their house? What if there was a fissure that would come underneath their living space? Everything would collapse, it was so scary, it was everything she would dread. The light flickered off and she knew there was a blackout too. Forgetting that phones did work during blackouts, she only panicked more.

She made a muffled scream sound, very softly when G finally got her and pulled her close. She buried her face in his chest, shaking, holding her arms around his hips so she could feel stable and secure, he was her everything, her safety. She noticed the little baby as she did so, oh he was safe, he was good, he was okay. Her thoughts made no proper process, the fifteen seconds of the shock were already over, but she still did not dare to move or do anything, she expected more shakes to happen, would this be the start? Would another earthquake follow? She was so afraid, she couldn't utter a word out loud.

She was just scared, everything about it, she did not know why, there was no logical thinking, no logical connection to earthquakes and blackouts that made her so afraid and yet Hanako Hajimari was deadly afraid. Her heart was pounding in her throat, she was shivering and crying, she felt anything but an adult at this moment. It was as if she was a child again and she was hiding in the arms of the man that could hold her. It was only a short amount of time, not too bad if you were thinking about it, but she did not dare to move, not dare to do anything, she still stood there frozen in fear, not letting go and not properly breathing; yes Hanako was having a panic attack.

She did not notice G kissed her, she did not hear him. The ringing in her ears was the rushing of her blood that was pumping through her veins like crazy. She did not know what to do, she did not respond, she did not blink as she had her eyes firmly shut, she barely did breathe, it came out like huffs and puffs because she wasn't breathing properly. Scared, scared it would happen again and become worse, she did not want to think about it, she did not want to do anything with it, it should never exist anymore, like ever. That was the total opposite of Kai who simply stared with his big blue eyes at his father because he had no idea what the drama was about now that the trembling had stopped, he stopped crying and simply stared, looked at his mother, back at his father and went to put his foot in his mouth and stare with a little drool on his chin to his father as if to show that he was a tough little man and wouldn't cry anymore.

She whimpered a little now that he had taken her and set her on the bed. She was wobbly but it was better that she sat down now and she couldn't form words and she looked up a little through her sticky eyelashes as she heard his words but it didn't make sense in her mind and she nodded and yet said nothing. She watched him kiss her hand sit close to her and she put her head against his chest, "I don't know." She whimpered some more, "I don't know what it is." But it was over indeed, they were unharmed, they should check their property and see if everything was fine. She did not know how she could not scare him, she was still so scared herself.

She nodded, trying to calm down, to breath in through her nose, out through her mouth in a stable manner, because this was how it would work the best for her and she wasn't sure how to continue and looked up to G before rubbing her eyes and trying to stop crying, "I am sorry." Was the only words that she managed to say softly because she had scared him, that wasn't her intention at all, but she had done so. It was a horrible feeling.

She did not want to make matters worse, so she did not say anything when he asked for what. It was obvious why she was nervous and why she apologized. "I think I will stay here for a bit." She mumbled, because it was obvious that they had to clean up and check the perimeter if everything was alright but she did not want to. She wanted to stay in the bedroom and she scooted further back on the bed. She did not look at G, she still felt embarrassed, she should do something. She should have done something, she should have gone to grab Kai and make sure he was okay, but she didn't. Hanako had not done anything. She felt more panic come up when the nightlight did not work and she thought it was stupid but seriously how did that work? She tried to keep her breathing steady, she shouldn't make matters worse for G.

She gave him a weak smile but buried her face between her knees to try and regulate her breathing. It was going fine, the whole earthquake was over and nothing more would happen, it was just this, it was all fine now. It might happen again like this but nothing bad happened. She bit her lip and tried not to sob.
