Teatro drive-in (Nimue)

Nimue was still a little walking from her room to the bathroom and working on her make-up. She had curled her hair for the lower parts and looked at her reflection. Checked her eyelashes, her lipstick and made sure it wouldn't stick on her skin and she looked up as she walked from the bathroom to her bedroom to make sure to get her shoes. She could just wear sneakers, or maybe flats as she wanted them to be comfortable. She thought about it before he came in and she smiled at hi. It was so easy to not hide everything. "Hi." She smiled, oh she didn't hear him saying Italian words to her, that was funny and she was going to walk to him and kissed him on the cheek. "I am almost done, give me a second." She said and she walked towards her room to get the flats and she would quickly get her purse and made sure her hair was okay when she checked the mirror again. "Is there anything I need to bring? Maybe some crisps?" She made sure that her t-shirt was loose, her skirt was like a bell skirt, it was a bit poofy but slightly above her knee and colourful while her shirt was white. She wanted to take the cans of soda she brought and the bag of crisps that she put in another tote bag and she walked to him now that she got her shoes on.

"I can't wait." They were going to the drive-in cinema at the beach. They discussed it before, so she was prepared and she liked the idea of going together and it was nicely done and she would snuggle into his arms and looked up. Their height difference was minimal and that was amazing. "Are you excited?" She said with a little laugh because she was ready to make fun about the situation and she couldn't wait to go. "God when is the last time we had a date? Was it your birthday? It is going so fast all the time." She was snickering a little, she just huddled in his arms. No more secrets, it felt so much better this way and she would regret that it took her so long. But the thing was that it was in the past, it was good now and it was going forward and she liked it and she wanted to be with him every minute every day.

So he had everything prepared and she pouted a little, she could never surprise him or make matters. Although she had dinners from time to time. Dinners she had made, planned and surprised him with so that worked. She was happy about that and just left the tote bag on the couch after she had snuggled in his arms and talked to him about the date and the question of when their last date was. Seriously, the two of them were far too busy to actually date too often. Most of the time they just spend a weekend together from Friday till Saturday and she would have to prepare for school on Sunday. Now that she no longer had to lie about it, she sometimes stayed another day at his home (it was far bigger than hers!) to just design the lesson plans there and to work out the other things she had to do. Sometimes she had to patrol and he would have dinner for her prepared and nowadays she might even stay till Monday, it all depended on how everything went and goes.

But now he took her outside and they would go to the beach. It was still far too cold to swim or enjoy the sunny weather at the beach but they had made a drive-in cinema, like old times and they would show an old classic movie. Nimue hoped he would like it, they were black and white and she could remember vaguely that such old movies was something that Giovanni had liked and she would stop distracting him. She would sit nicely in her seat and she would look at the scenery for the short trip that they had to make their way to the beach. It would be nice and when they arrived she wanted to open the window shortly and smell the sea. The salt, the ocean smell, everything that reminded her of the Cape that she missed from time to time. There was still never an intention for her to go home but she would just see how it would go, here. She glanced from the corner of her eye to Giovanni, and what her future would hold for her. After Christmas, after New Years, his birthday, and their conversation before going to the orphanage, it was this strange sensation in her mind and body. She wondered what it was but at the moment she would just steal moments like this in their busy times.

She did not teach anything interesting, she had told him time and time again when he came to look at her lesson plan when she was either lazy in bed (because his mattress and the blankets were so soft... why would you ever leave) or at the kitchen table. She taught biology and she also gave some first aid classes now and then. She had missed a few opportunities but she was still drafting to fix it for the new years and to involve some of the others if they wanted to. She also had to work on her internships but she mostly did that on her own, because she already felt embarrassed by last year, she did not want Giovanni to see how bad of a teacher she was when it came to that. How would she ever inspire people?

But that was not about it today. She swore this was a different car and as she liked fast vehicles and cars (though more motors to be honest), she was sure that she wasn't going insane. So when she leaned with her head against his arm as she looked at the light of the setting sun over the ocean, she looked up at Giovanni. "It is," Wait if this was a new car, why would they snack in it? "When did you buy a new car and why didn't you tell me?" She said it in a teasing matter, to make sure he knew she wasn't mad or anything. "What about the crumbs if we eat crisps or so?" Or whatever snacks he brought... wait why would he sell his perfectly good car? She blushed, nope... no thinking about all of that. She bit her lip and turned to scoot a little closer, that was surprisingly easy in this new car compared to the last, the chairs were a little bigger and she could thus scoot over and be a little closer. "Do you love the sea?" Because he was from Italy, there must be sea.

She leaned against him, with her head against his shoulder as she took in the scent of the sea in the air and looked at the sunset. They probably planned it right after so the sun wouldn't bother the cinema screen and so on. It was very romantic and as usual, reminded her of her time before meeting Giovanni and how her love life had been anything but romantic. Oz and Nimue had just been a horrible combination, now she was finally putting her life back on track and thinking about herself. She managed to make up for the lost money of Oz, it seriously helped that Giovanni paid a lot but she did not want to get used to that. She still had things she wanted to do and working on paintings was on that list, but she kept pushing it away. The brand new paintbrushes and paint were still in the box that she got from her father last year. She would paint with it, she would pick it up again and make it better but right now... right now did not feel like the right time. She decided to focus on right now though and ask Giovanni about the car, she looked up at him and she was glad he kissed her and smiled. "Oh." He had multiple! She would definitely make use of that later and would ask if she could borrow. But not now, now was a romantic date. She giggled in his kiss on her lips and snuggled a little closer.

"Maybe this summer we can go to the beach." She told him, she normally in relationships did not dare to talk about further months, months away or anything. She did not want to think about it now, she just had said it and it gave her a warm fuzzy feeling. Eventually, she turned her attention to the sun, who coloured the sky in red, orange and pink as the last line of it disappeared. it was very pretty view but it also meant that soon it got dark, like before she realized and that the screen on the beach turned on. "Do you think we should have brought a blanket?" It might be cold still in April and especially if they were still in a car? She shouldn't think bad about it, it was anything but, everything was fine and she loved him. They were on a date, what more would she want?

She smiled as she looked up at Giovanni and snuggled close against his side as she leaned with her head on his shoulder and enjoyed the view before she would have to turn her attention to the screen and watch the advertisement that came first. That's when she considered if they should have taken a blanket and looked back to Giovanni while she sat up straight to be able to have a conversation with him. She blushed a little and turned so that she could sling her legs over his lap and smirk at him, "This first, maybe I come closer when I am getting cold." She made a soft chuckling sound again and scooted closer so she could still lean against him though and she would not want to try and be difficult with the sitting as she might bump her head at the roof and so on, now she was close enough right?

She held on to his arm so she could hold on to something and not fall backwards in her weird position. She would look back at the movie again as it was starting now but she noticed that someone was watching her and looked up again at her boyfriend, "You don't want to watch the movie?" She asked a little surprised though she was obviously blushing and smiling. Though most of the make-up hid her blush it was still there. She moved up a little so she could kiss him, very softly and nice before lowering herself again, breaking the kiss and looking shortly at the movie again before looking at Giovanni again.

Everything was perfect, everything could be more perfect but it was something, and she did not want the date to be bad, or to be anything, so she would just sit quiet and watch the screen. She leaned against his shoulder, held on to his arm. If only this would protect her from everything that would come, everything that would be turned onto them, fixed onto them. Sometimes she wondered why she was still trying, trying her job, trying everything. She failed before, why risk the rest? Why risk his life? Risk her love for her? This was ridiculous and it would remain so as she had not the heart to say the words that were desperately needed. But she would protect him, she would risk everything to protect him and her eyes turned from the screen, from the movie, to Giovanni.

But she was sorry, sorry for ruining this moment, ruining everything in the future. He was cute when he blushed and she wondered if she should kiss his cheek again or do something about it, but she didn't. She couldn't do it yet. She turned back to the black and white movie, this was just nice, just something they could do more often, no one could see them right? In this car it was like the world came to a stop and she would just deal with, just this place, their snacks, their everything. She heaved her head and kissed his cheek. This was everything now and everything was perfect.

She giggled softly when he kissed her cheek and when he tried to open the soda can and the bag of chips, she could not help but do so again. Slowly Nimue took the bag from his one hand that was closest to her and folded the two parts together and held up the bag of chips for him, "is this how you wish it, sir?" She smiled up at him and brushed her long mint-coloured hair aside, over her left shoulder, on the opposite side of where Giovanni was sitting, before she leaned over to take his can of soda, looked at him through her amber eyes, and took a sip before offering it back to him again. She did not want to make matters worse, she had the full intention of watching this movie, because that was the date was about and all the other stuff could be done after or another day or anything.

She would grab a piece of the chips and put it in her mouth while turning her attention back to the movie. She snuggled a little better into Giovanni's shoulder and held his arm while holding up the chips for him in case he wanted it. She didn't know what else to do and tried to focus on the movie again, this was it after all and it was an old black and white, she was really interested.
