Together (Gio/Nim Saga)

As their arrangement has been since the new year, he would come over on Thursdays because she didn't have to start too early on Wednesdays and she would either come to him on Friday's or he would come pick her up sometimes that did include dinner at her place. Sometimes they just ordered food at his restaurant and the like. It was easy to have them do that but today she had wanted to make food for him. She had gone home a little earlier, leaving everything in Hatsumomo's capable hands and was preparing a dish that she used to make with her parents back at home, but now she was doing it herself and boy had it been a long while before that it took her some serious work to make it and think about it. She was wearing her hair in pigtails so it wouldn't be in her way, her apron had a little spot of the orange-red sauce and there was a spot on her cheek that she had not yet discovered. She wasn't the best chef for sure but she could cook decently and she liked it when she had the time or someone to cook for. She got why Hatsumomo made someone's lunch, it was more fun.

She heard a knock on her door and she was not sure why he didn't open the door as he had the key. Oh, no wait, maybe he had forgotten. "Coming." She said over her shoulder as she had not seen him through her little window, too focused. She dropped the wooden spoon back in the pan and hurried to wash her hands and go to the door. She opened the door quickly as she wasn't sure how long she could be dilly dally about it and he surely would distract her as she was gaining a little bit of self knowledge when it came to how much she liked this man. She kissed him quickly and let him in though.

She blushed a little and pouted, "I hope you are hungry." She said a little shy, she wasn't so sure what to say about it and quickly hurried back to the kitchen to make sure it would not burn or be a disaster and so on. She brushed her hair over her shoulder again, the pigtails were only there to keep her busy green hair in check. The sauce wasn't burned yet, oh good and she looked up when he was there and she blushed again a little, "Probably not as good as your cooking." She mumbled and finished the sauce and checked the rest of the dishes before mixing it all up and look over her shoulder when she saw the man she loved on the table waiting for her.

Her face turned bright red when he said she might tempt him and she turned away from him and quickly got everything and her ovenmittens to bring the dish on the table. "Thanks for making the table." She took the mittens off and the apron, undid her hair from the pigtails and hurried to the table again and finally kissed him before sitting on her own spot. "Thank you for coming to me. I just wanted to do something nice and such."

She smiled at him as he said he was incredibly hungry and she snickered a little, "I am glad you are." and she let him come and watch and make the table. She finished her cooking and pouted about the idea as she was sure not as good as the chef. "I hope it's good then." She kissed him before she would take her seat and would put some of the dish on his plate and a little on her own and eagerly watched him as she wasn't sure if it was good. She simply wanted to make sure he was doing okay and that he liked it. She quickly got up, "Oh!" She must not forget her bag in a bit, "Second." She hurried to her room and got it and put the little weekend bag at the hallway with his coat and hers and went to sit again. "I am glad we can spend the weekend together." She said but frowned, she was doing that a lot of times and sometimes she wondered if she was ruining her free time even if she did not mind it. She had no complaints about hanging out with Giovanni, it was just she had things to do. Or well that was what she tried many times.

That was why the frown was on her face, well it was nothing to think about. "I forgot to ask before but you planned to tell me what you thought of U.A. so I am quite curious." She said a little nervous about it. He did not seem to be a fan of heroes or the hero school, which only made her more nervous to talk about her real job to him. Should she say it now? Now could be a perfect moment, yes, she decided she would. She would just keep it quiet for this part and bring it up after they talked about the school.

She smiled at him as he said he was glad and took finally a bite of her own food. Though she was thinking and she was thinking too much. She was thinking about what to do, or how to bring it up. She should be careful, not giving away her stuff if she wanted to first be safe and not worry about talking about this. She would bring it up after he would give his opinion. She might be able to change his opinion by telling him she was a pro-hero, even if it was delicate. "Oh yes, you were talking about it but you fell asleep before you could tell me what you thought." The frown disappeared as she remembered his sleeping face and how he looked so peaceful and how she had been in his arms that night, yea she had liked that moment. She had liked how he had come to her home. She wasn't sure what more to say to explain why she wanted to know. She smiled though taking a bite, to try and not show her nerves, this was for the best, just to get his opinion was what mattered.

She brushed her hair behind her ear and hated how she forgot to ask if he liked it, though she hoped he might say it himself now that she sat still. She was afraid she would forget stuff. She should tell him about her achievement but she was so nervous, telling him about her job was more important.

She bit her lip, okay yea typical. Ha, was it already typical? She simply had lifted her fork with food on it and looked at him not entirely sure what to do. Or better yet if it was indeed the right moment to say. Pretty average... not impressive. Oh. But the last part surprised her and she accidentally dropped her food back on the plate as she looked at him. Defeating Thundershock? that was easily said, wasn't that a job for the pro-heroes that were there now. She simply stared at him, "Is that what people expect?" She did not know what else to say and with him smiling at himself, she wasn't sure what to say at all. "They are just children." Was all she could bring up and they did not even had their three years of studies, wasn't that a bit cruel.

Should she now bring it up if this was his high expectation of pro-heroes and even the students? Well, she had arrested two villains but look how far that brought her and what the consequences of that were. She bit her lip and quickly put the food that had dropped on her plate back on her spoon and in her mouth and tried to be distracted by munching on it. So she could not cry out on something like that and make a mistake of taking a bad moment to say what her real job was and she wanted this weekend to be fine. She could always try something though, but she would be miserable if they had a fight about it.

"They are children, that doesn't mean that after finishing high school they be dropped into the world like that to immediately fight someone like Thundershock, that would be a cruel organisation." God she already hated how they were pitched against each other and came bloody well running into her infirmary with breathing problems and the like and here someone thought... calm down, he didn't know. She flinched a little as he simply brought up how her cooking was while between. Right, it wasn't important. She wouldn't say anything as she would just go and eat. "There is nothing." She said rather snappy about her and U.A. There was nothing to say at this whole point. Just kids, he said the heroes were only that. They were so much more than just a hero school. Everyone would always simply underestimate her, the doctor now Giovanni. But she couldn't say for he did not know. It did not matter. "Imagine it was your kid that you pitch up against Thundershock." She mumbled. They never really talked about their future, they talked about the stupid romantic staying forever together and that's what she wanted but she would have to find a moment to talk to him about her and U.A. as he so casual had asked. But she was too pissed off right now to even consider answering. Who knows what problems would come if they would have a fight about her being a pro hero and how he would tell someone else and what kind of villains that would bring again.

No thank you. She took a deep breath as it was necessary to calm down and continued to eat without saying much else. She had not even thanked him for the compliment. Maybe she should stay home, she would work on her plans for the orphanage for tomorrow.

Her jaw tightened because she did not want to talk about it. Not with his aloof attitude or his opinion, she wasn't sure how to even describe his attitude. "That's a very smart decision." she could only say when Giovanni said he didn't want his kids to become heroes. Had she known all beforehand, she would not have applied and go on with her studies, but that was already in the past and she did not want to think about it. Her eyes were on her plate but flung up when he said there was one who he loved to meet. Well, here she would get another message about Mia, it was always Mia, was it not? But her mouth fell open and her fork scratched for a second over the plate and she looked back at it. She didn't want to hear about the amazing and attractive hero. She had made mistakes. She wasn't sure how to go past this, she could just say that it was her, she should say it now. She hated how he compared her to well, her. The fact that he continued made it even worse and she stood up out of nowhere. "You want dessert?" She had not even finished half of her plate and their conversation was just so horrible.

She went to the kitchen and looked through the window, staring at the dark night out there. Looking at her agast reflection. She did not like the hiding but how could she tell him when he was like that. He wouldn't let them be heroes, he seemed to hate heroes, so she didn't know what to do or say about it at all. Oz had not cared about it, not cared about her safety or if she liked her job at all. Her father had been the most supportive but look where it got him. She had no idea how to tell and tell him that she hated him to see her only like that and that had been the whole time she didn't dare to say so. She hated everything about tonight. She should not go with him.
