Hhahahahahah okay of all the hairbrained schemes and whims and desires Niso had followed in the past this one was really taking the cake. Constructing a false identity? That was one thing. There were SOOOO many potential pitfalls with that alone. If someone even attempted to make a thorough background check on him that was it. Done. Kaputz. Unless they were an idiot who thought the systems they were using were just glitching up or something. Of course he’d gotten some professional criminals to create SOME sort of trail but a fake trail could only be so perfect no matter how much thought you try to put into it…
No, what was REALLY stupid about all this was who he was trying to use it on. Heroes. See he’d grown tired and bored of the same old same old with his villain ‘colleagues’ as they’d generously refer to themselves sometimes. They were either boring, run of the mill idiots like Thunder who had no real sense of the power they held beyond wanting to gather more of it, or they’d be completely insane, too far off the deep end to really see the vision of Chaos Niso had, like Libra. Sure, now and then he got a few exceptions to the rule, beautiful, shining examples like Parasyte or even his darling Luzia… but he needed something to shake things up. To throw the established balances off…
And furthermore… if he had an in with the heroes, tracking himself some MARINE might be a little more reasonable and obtainable for him…
Despite the more malicious intentions he tried to hold a calm face where he currently sat. More sharply dressed, including the face he wore, than was normal for him. Despite his baby face he’d used his mild shapeshifting capabilities to take on a more mature look, slightly taller but still a little young and inexperienced. Unsuspecting. Nothing that would garner too much attention from looks alone. He was wearing trousers with suspenders, black shoes, white shirt, a red tie and a suit jacket. A pretty simple ‘japanese office wear’ combo for someone who ranked higher than your average office jockey. Or at the very least, someone who aspired to reach higher than that.
Adjusting his tie he’d idly glance to the door down the hall. Apparently the official office of the Hero known as ‘hellhound’… thing was, while she was apparently hiring for an extra set of hands, this was perhaps the second worst hero to start with. Much like Red Horn, Hell hound didn’t really have a… ‘gentle’ reputation, so if he was found out Niso would be even further up shit creak without a paddle. The only solace he could find is perhaps one of the more level headed heroes would find him out more easily, while the hotter heads of a heroine like Hellhound might mean he could more easily slip under the radar… so long as he gave them a reason to not want to look his gift horse in the mouth.
Just faintly paniced, he tried to remain still, constantly glancing down the hall, breathing quickening as he tried not to just count the seconds till the heroine called her in for his ‘interview’ he’d managed to slip in a space for.

The Hounds were an elite SAT team that is renowned throughout Tokyo for their various exploits. They are capable, strong and disciplined with no rival. It is a team many can depend on despite their reputation in the other branches. Is what Freya likes to think but the dumb asses lack the proper brain power to spare any staff to oversee their new hires. They called her up all serious making it sound like their lives were in danger and here she is playing interviewer while the others are off doing fuck all.
The office of the hounds were more or less in a constant state of a mess and the short staff means that the paperwork was always an issue. Only officer worker who hasn't quit to her surprise is Yoko Samejima. Fiercely competitive with how she does her work and her sass makes her quite a personality to talk to. She is someone Freya likes a lot and she is grateful for her continued service to the Hounds. However she does keep mentioning her little brother from time to time and how much she is expecting from him when he graduates from UA. Someone to watch out for in the future she thinks.
She came in early so she can get this thing done quickly. Greeting the usual suspects of the office. Luckily she was given the keys to her old office so she can interview the guy so it makes things less awkward. Taking a few moments to grab her coffee, she headed down to the office and waited until the prospective hire showed up. She wasn't in her hero outfit and instead in her suit that she wears to meetings and other fancy occasions. As the clock winded down to the appointed time and she sipped her coffee at her old desk, she got the call that he was here. She’d shuffle a few papers and put on her glasses as she wanted to make a good impression.
“You can come on in now”, she’d call him in.
The office was of course decorated and kept neat with a variety of pictures and objects that make an office..an office. A few old pictures when she was on the force, her farewell party and other things that pose sentimental value. The desk was organized and clear of clutter and in front of the desk was two office chairs that were on loan from the admin of the place.

“…….”
Niso had to try very, very hard to be… ugh. Professional.
On seeing the woman known as hellhound, the woman he’d seen images of firing off bunring attacks, bursting across battlfields, sometimes dressed in modified SWAT hear… he had hardly been expecting what he now saw. The same woman almost seeming… tamed, dressed in a suit with glasses resting in the bridge of her nose and quite literally he had to fight the instinctive pull of his muscles in his cheeks, biting down on the inside of his cheek itself just to stop himself from quirking into an odd smile of some sort as he looked over the woman before him.
“Y-yeah. Thanks.” He let out. Even if he was trying his best this was still a charade at the end of the day, so more formal greetings and the like were somewhat elusive to him. That kind of worked in his benefit right now honestly, as any of his usual quirks, his vacant smile, his distant stare, all came off more like interview nerves and jitters rather than the usually psychopathic glare Niso could pull off. He did purposely try to play it up a little too, adding a few stutters and even pretending to nearly drop his suitcase as he followed her into her office.
“So.” He began, trying to put a little more confidence in his voice, playing the part of the nervous yet eager ‘employee to be’ as well as he could, resting his suitcase beside a seat, bowing his head before he finally took a seat. After Freya herself of course. “I heard you were one of the more… hetically scheduled heroes. I was hoping I could offer my services to make things a little easier on you. Musn’t be easy balancing your own career with that old Swat team I assume?” He’d ask, trying to make it clear he did some research before coming here blindly.

The silence was absolutely palpable.
And Freya had to try really hard to keep a professional attitude and not slip into...usual pleasantries. It is quite difficult due to her burning hatred for the formalities done by the higher ups, but she complied for the best for the team. That isn't to say she is seething as she wanted to rip off the jacket and just go into her casual clothes.'Why the fuck am I even doing this, I should be at home resting and not here playing office boss. I'm not my fucking uncle for fuck sa-'. She simply held in the urge to scream out in rage and continued with the interview.
Initial impressions of the new hire is as normal as it can get. Nothing too stands out and he seems as nervous as any new hire could be. Though she is surprised that he didn't just bail out at the sight of her due to her ever growing reputation of her explosive attitude. But she can chalk it up to the dudes balls of steel or something. He sat down on the chairs and thus the interview began. Interesting enough it seems like he did some of his homework before coming here as he does mention her mess of a schedule. She adjusted her glasses, “With the ever constant changing landscape of the city, it's quite chaotic to say the least. Adding on the issue with my position as a pro and my connections here, finding new help here is rare to say the least. Even more rare for office workers since this place's reputation.”, she’d reply as she flipped through the papers she had lined up. Of course it's all for show as she usually just improvs most of the question and the papers just make things look busy.
Honesty never got anyone anywhere but she had to tell the truth with her presence here. Only in a place like this where they can call in a pro hero only to get her to do an interview for them. She is gonna pay them back for it for sure after this.
“So what is your name, occupation and reason as to why you want to join. Please note any skills you would like to share? This is purely for me to write down and hand it up to the admin of this place so they're somewhat aware of what you can do.”

Niso nodded along as Freya confirmed she was running a busy schedule and explained as to why that was. With how things had been a mess lately, criminal empires rising and falling in the blink of an eye, especially his own once home of eternity? Yeah, must have been trouble to keep up with as a pro… he tried very hard not to smile seeing the effects of such chaos and had to bite into the inside of his cheek to prevent his muscles from pulling at the corner of his lips.
“Y-yes I’m… sure it’s been rather taxing. Afterall, with no offense intended you’ve been thrust into a roll with rather minimal training for your sudden position. Something I have the upmost respect for as you’re clearly handling it with grace and budding talent, BUT, I’m hoping I can make everything at least a slither easier on you.”
Of course, initial introductions were still needed and he bowed his head almost comically for a moment before lifting it, trying to display eagerness while also presenting his nerves… god faking all these emotions were making his jaw ache…
“Niso Gottschalk.” He answered forwardly. No one could lock him up for having the combined names of two known criminals. Worst case scenario his name was bad PR and he could just sell that it was better to keep his name under wraps anyway. “Currently unemployed but I have a brief history working in PR for a police station up north east.” That sounded vague enough to not chase up. “As for my skills, I have experience handling time tables and getting a face out there. I understand a ‘hero agent’ isn’t exactly something someone might feel they need but…” He leaned over the desk, cupping his hands together.
“One of your biggest issues right now… funding, right?” He smiled, trying to start selling himself to this fearsome beast of a woman.

The slight nervousness in his tone was something she’d write down in the margins of her paper. Despite her looks and attitude, she does the paperwork fast and efficiently as she does her job. Nervousness was natural but she can feel something else behind it, perhaps an eagerness to work? Whatever the case, he seems fairly steeled for an interview like this and it's reflecting well and making it go by quicker than expected.
“Niso...Gottschalk..interesting name. Taking a bet that people side eye you when your name is called up...jokes aside, looking good so far.” she’d comment on the name as she made small notes in the margins. The name has got to be the most unfortunate pairing she has ever seen since their names are pretty well known in many circles of the region. A light chuckle can leave her as she reads it again but then she went forward to not dwell on this. Unemployed and some PR experience working with the guys up north. Throwing on the skills of a hero agent, this is something a bit more qualified than just an office position. But what got her attention was his last remark before she had a chance to reply. Looks like he is sharper than he seems as he knows the reputation of this place and the issue of funding.
She takes a chance to remove her glasses and settle down her papers. Formulating a response that can be appropriate for such a statement. Appreciates the guts despite who she is and she can applaud him after but for now, she will be testing him.
“....Seems like you know your stuff, yes you are correct that this place struggles with getting funding from other branches due to its...reputation. But simply knowing that fact doesn't guarantee anything, from what I can catch on...do you have some kind of plan to get this place more funding?”

“Hey, you can’t really decide what your parents call you.” He gave an idle shrug as if to display he had no qualms with his name. Heck he even had some pride in it. Anyone might assume the family part of his name or heck even Niso was something he’d inherited and wouldn’t changed for the world, but in truth his pride just came from how obvious it was. Hiding in plain sight as it where. No one would believe the 5th most wanted villain would be THIS dumb afterall. He had to try very hard to resist smirking about it even.
“I mean honestly if I could argue for my own name at that age I don’t think you’d be seeing me here hoping to help out any old hero. I’d probably just be talking the criminals out of being… well, criminals.~” He chimes with an idle smirk, rubbing his hands together as he prepares to make the big sell on this all the same. Freya admitted she’d been having some budget and funding issues, and with that Niso was prepared to finish up his sell.
“Well you see, there’s a more simple solution to that than you might think. If you were to hire me I’d be more than happy to help.” Pinching at the collar of his shirt with a rather proud smile, feeling he had one hell of a plan here, he opened his arms up. “You need a better brand.~” He chimed out with a grin, leaning back in his chair just a little as he felt a little more confident with each passing second. His ruse, his disguise was bought… he just needed the Niso confidence to bring it home.
“See the government feel they can pull your funding solely because you’re not a ‘name’ yet. As a hero your up and coming and the government is trying to figure out what’s the bare minimum you can function on. Vigilantes were free, and sure, you’re a hero now, they need to pay your wage… but people like you would happily do it for free in a lot of cases, so how low can that wage drop…” He snapped his fingers. “But of course! You can’t have the public knowing that! The heroes they worship being stumped? That’s part of why they don’t let you speak. I mean, I assume they don’t let you speak… havn’t heard any of you mention the quirk tax. Not even Red horn… to think they even have her on a leash…”
He had to pull back a little, he was feeling a ‘chaos’ rant coming on but he managed to hold his tongue.
“My plan would be to make you a face. I can think of ways to get you more arrests, make those arrests more public… and without ever turning you into a display or a show. Just doing your work for the public to see… then you’d be in a much better place to negotiate your funding~”

“What do you have in mind?”
Freya listened to Niso as he made his pitch about how to get more funding. A part of her wanted to call bullshit but if the Hounds can get more funding from whatever plan he has in his head then she is fair game. However she did note the sudden boost in confidence he has begun to speak more which is something she appreciated. Not a fan of the high strung office types, they’re the types that break so easily under pressure compared to the more composed types.
But back to the issue of funding, she wrote down key notes for the sake of looking back on them. Brand? Like store brands or sports or shit like that? She was puzzled by such an idea as she continued to listen, some of it making sense while others were confusing her a bit. But the moment she mentioned vigilantes and how they're not letting her speak. It started to click as she recalled a few meetings where the higher ups would send a less needed number of men to a capture point and leave her to do most of the grunt work. She recalled the death march known as her entire month after Shingawa cleaned up and how they had her and her team work double overtime just to deal with everything in their district. But then Niso also brought up the damn quirk tax, that damn tax that she herself voiced her opinion on that fell on deaf ears. She grit her teeth as she felt her blood starting to run hot as she recalled the numerous missed phone calls and hours of waiting to no avail. As he finishes talking, she takes the moment to take a deep breath to calm down and look at him without her glasses on.
“...So your plan here is to basically do work more publicly and gain favor from the people in order to put the higher ups balls in a vice?....I’m listening.”, she answered. It's quite the proposal to say during an interview but-,"...For a moment, let me just say. I will say you did well on the interview and will pass note to the head honcho here and you'll get a call from em once this is all done...but continue". She doesn't like the sound of this proposal but if it nets her more favor with the bastards up top, then might as well see what she can do.

Unless Niso was mistaken… Freya was taking a shine to her. Oh god he had to really use his quirk to fight the natural instincts his body had to go full into a wild grin at that. This was working so well and she was even biting on the hook! He was about to land himself one of the easiest jobs in the world, a possible in with other heroes, and an EASY way to eliminate his criminal competition! Oh it was like bloody Christmas and he really had to fight the urge to show his joy, instead managing to keep it to a mostly calm but clearly somewhat ecstatic smile at what seemed to be her approval. He’d done his homework, legitimate and some of it somewhat criminal in nature, and now it was all paying off. The myriad of ways this could have gone wrong no longer holding water as they faded out of his mind and his general confidence slowly grew. “Well yes in a sense. Now of course I don’t ever expect you to personally change the WAY you work. You’re a hero, not a circus animal. Buuuut of course if you… kept someone, like me, in the loop… maaaybe a couple respectable news organizations suuuuddenly know about this drug bust your performing, or have the nice scoop on this criminal your battling downtown. Get more of theit cameras on you and boom. Suddenly Red Horn and that bee lady aren’t the only heroes with their faces in the news. Don’t even get me started on that pretentious Serpant guy either borderline PRETENDING to be a hero-“ He really hated that guy’s whole thing, but he resisted the urge to ramble by raising his hands. “Anyway, it’d all be taken care of. You keep doing your thing, I just… nudge a bit more of the spotlight your way while you do.”
He turned a little quiet… he rubbed his hands together, still showing confidence, but a brief internal debate going on about if he should say something. “… Of course.” Should he save this? It might be better to earn more of her trust first but… as his first potential employer he needed to make an impression. “Someone like you especially could… use a lesser face. I feel.” He leaned back a little trying to hold a more serious tone. “Your contacts are mostly officers and other heroes… it must be hard getting the good scoop on criminals sometimes. Especially since the other heroes and the officers are always gonna be acting on their scoops first… now suffice to say. If. And this is a big IF… someone you hired had… some contacts who could… point your energy in the right direction…”
“Well.” He cleared his throat, adjusting his tie but trying to remain confident with what he was implying. “It’d certainly make you a bigger ‘name’, much harder to deny funding… if your arrest figures suddenly went up… catch my drift?” God he hoped she did, he didn’t know how to be any clearer without stepping in it.

Of course Freya had her doubts about this dude’s words and many of it seemed more than he was letting on. Hell, the amount of sense he is talking and this plan seems way too rehearsed from the get go. But if it gets her in the spotlight and gets funding for the hounds then by all means she will go into this little plan of his. Being a Mad Dog never yields the best results, she needs push, she needs the weight to back it up, she needs the merit. At this point, she may as well sign the deal with the devil with how good this deal is sounding. So her ears were open and her glasses came off as she gave him the time of day.
Of course his knowledge on heroes started to trip some alarms in his head but she did get a chuckle when he mentioned Serperior, Yellow Jacket and of course Redhorn. His plan was of course sound but who exactly are these sources and how does he know how to tip them off. But she went along with it as she doesn't exactly have any reason to doubt his words. He could have a few dozen connections from over the years and is using them now or something. Whatever the case, she will bite.”I assume there's something else to complicate this, taking down a few big guys and reporting it to the media aint going to bring up the public look of me any higher than it does when I head outside...unless you know some powerful people that is..”, she remarked as she leaned back in her office chair. After about a minute of silence, she gave it some thought and responded in a very cautious tone. “But...I will take your word for it on the condition that you disclose some of these sources to me for the sake of transparency”, she says as she slides notepad on the desk towards his direction.”Write down all the details for em and keep talking”
After that, it was met with more silence as Niso looked like he was debating to tell her some more info. As he began to speak, her eyebrow began to raise as he began to catch on what he was suggesting. Anyone in her line of work would immieditaly know what he was suggesting and it was both smart and fucking idiotic at the same time. It's a risk to everyone involved and it would fall on her if something were to go wrong. He’d go on with his confident tone as she sat back in her chair with a fierce look. As he finished speaking, she let it linger for a bit as she was quite iffy on the deal. But it was a deal nonetheless and if you want results, you gotta see what the world is really like under the hood.
“So...you’re suggesting we have a man on the inside...a spy in all cases?”, she opened up as she sat up in her chair. “Mr. Niso, that is by far the ballsiest suggestion I have ever heard in my life. Hell I’ve seen gamblers call out someone's bluff the moment someone called. Its stupid and it may work….but who exactly is this insider?”, her hands go onto the desk. “The underworld works differently from what I hear from the goons in prison...but who is the kind of person you have in mind for this? What kind of position that they hold that can feed us the right amount of info? I get your thinking and perfectly understand it but how deep is this guy you’re speaking of?”, she asked as she slowly stood up.
“If you can give me all the details, then I’ll get to work and your employment here is as good as secured…”, Freya asked as she looked at him dead as she awaited his response.

Okay… make or break time. Freya seemed IN for this whole idea. From being able to get her more media attention to getting her more important crimes to help prevent in general. The downside though was she was thorough. She was asking for details of his sources which… okay Niso could EASILY give her information on how he planned to contact people in the media. He could get daffodil to slip him a few phone numbers for the right price and suddenly he’d have direct lines to important media outlets. The issue was his criminal contacts… he didn’t have any. He was the criminal contact. He was gonna slip her the info he was getting from the villain chat or just plain working alongside other villains. Maybe even play nice with Thunder just so he could leak more information to the heroes. Still… he took the notepad and tapped the pen against it, trying not to let his nerves show as he tried to think of an out.
“Its… well I mean you think it wouldn’t but it would, I assure you.” He got a brief quiver in his throat as he tried to respond to her original statement but quickly re-assured himself. “Media coverage, taking down bad guys. On their own neither would do well, but together… sure maybe you won’t get any MORE fans and the people against heroes will always be against them… but the more your in your fans minds, the publics mind, the louder they get when your being done a disservice. I assure you if we get your image out there, the next time they try to even touch you heroes in a negative way? Public backlash will be a nightmare for them to handle. I’ll make sure of it.”
As she tried to talk more about his criminal contacts, he shook his head to try and explain further. “Not a spy so much as just… a line of connections. Everyone has that scumbag friend… and that friend knows someone even they think is a scumbag… and then that scumbag knows a villain. I know chains of people like that who let words slip. Words I’d happily feed to the police but… I’d more happily feed it to a hero who can make real use of it.” He placed the pen inside the ring binding of the notepad and placed it on the table. “But of course I can’t give up my contacts. Media or… less respectable. I can give you referances, people who can assure you I do good work. What I can’t do is tell you who my contacts are. I mean… if I gave you them all, then what would you even still need me for?~”
God he hoped that worked. He had an easy way to get around her wanting to check referances. But if he gave up fake 'criminal contacts' he'd just have to spew out random addresses that'd end up going nowhere. He'd be found out pretty quick. "I mean... they call them *Confidential* informants for a reason. Im sure you understand, being former police.~"

Moment of silence was all Freya could respond with upon hearing what he had to respond with. His reasoning is sound with what he is proposing here and it's not like she is gonna get more supporters with the position she put herself in. Getting support from the public could help her get more leverage with the higher ups and let her do more of what she needs. The prospect of having her leash being loosened is quite the bargaining chip. Enough so to reconsider her options and trying to find a way to do this as cleanly as possible. Of course she answered him with silence as he kept speaking.
He was beating around the bush when the contact topic came around. It was setting off her alarms in her head for sure but at the same time he has a point. Her hometown usually followed that line of thinking and hell it did a lot of good in the long run. But she is well aware of the risk it can pose for both the people involved and the greater picture. To protect the public is to get your hands dirty, it happens over in Las Vegas and it is bound to happen here. Making a connection is both a great benefit and a terrible one if it is found out. Even more so if the connection to her is found out, her public image is going to be the least of her worries if she gets caught. The Hounds are also a factor in this, she can trust them but she can’t exactly be sure that they will be on board with this.
But keeping it a secret is equally as bad as betraying their trust. This was a balance she needed to find because she might as well be making a deal with the devil. But for the sake of justice and for safety of the public, she will walk into hell and into the fire.
Freya took a seat and leaned back, letting out an audible sigh of frustration and resolve, her face now holding a sharper look as she looked at Niso. “I understand you perfectly...and I will let that detail slide for now.”, she opened up as she cracked her knuckles. “But this is the sort of deal that would land you in the slammer for how good this sounds.Hell, I can arrest you for that statement alone with how much you are letting on. It sounds too damn good to be true, it sounds like a trap and the higher ups are going to bring down the hammer on me if this gets out.”, glaring at him as she explains her current feelings on the matter. She laid it out as obviously as possible as she weighed her options in her head. Lingering on each word as she spoke it, giving more time to let each statement hang. But then she puts her feet up on the desk and cracks her neck. “However given the sorry state everything has been, the recent events, and the ever present lack of funding the actual people doing work being here...I have no reason to turn down your offer...”, a glow in her eyes began to show as a grin started a form.
“So I’ll take you up on that on the condition that the info you give will guarantee I will raise hell for both sides...the higher ups and the criminal world need to fire to get lit under their asses...so that might as well be me…”, she said in her usual tone but much of her words conveyed what she really want. To chase down the evils of the world to the edges of the earth, that is what she wants and this will be her first step towards that.
“But before we discuss all of that...we need to discuss working hours and pay. As well as additional funding for...your informant who you want to keep a secret. Do you have any other questions”

Arrest him? For that? Niso wondered if Freya felt he was implying more than he was. Now of course Niso was, in truth, a criminal fully deserving of being locked up if this dumb system was to be believed, but what he was effectively saying was ‘I know a guy who knows a guy.’. Or. Well. ‘I know several guys and each of them knows their own guy’. But either way Niso didn’t think that’d hold up in court if Freya ever tried to turn the tables on him… his lack of actual documentation for himself wouldn’t hold up in court, buuut ya know. Win some lose some. He’d not try and poke the bear here however and point out that flaw in her statement out loud. He still needed to be on her good side and outwardly all he’d display would be a very brief look of confusion at what she had said.
“I’m sure nothing I can say at the end of the day can fully assure you I’m not just some con man, so please, if it puts you at ease at all, use my services normally first. Give me a call when your on your way to a crime, I’ll put in calls to my contacts to make sure you get some positive coverage while you do your duty. And… if you come to see that it’s earning positive results… we can see how much my ‘friends of friends’ are willing to let slip down the pipeline.”
That seemed like… a fair trade. And sure, even if he never figured out how to get the hero specifically aiming at the annoying criminals he’d rather see off the street and out of his way, working under a pro hero, getting advanced warning of all the crimes they were en route too…. Ooooo. That was some deliciously helpful info…~
Still, it seemed Freya didn’t really need the delay and was more than eager to get to work with him. The glares she gave off didn’t feel so intimidating anymore and in fact he almost let slip his vacant, psychopathic smile for a brief moment. Almost. He managed to pull it back to something that could be justified by just the relief on his nerves, rising out of his seet to offer his hand across to the woman before him.
“I swear you won’t regret it. I-I know we have more to discuss but genuinely I just want to thank you for the opportunity to work under a pro like yourself! I’m sure this will be a rewarding endeavour for each of us and you’ll see that soon enough miss Hellhound!~” If she did take his hand he’d shake hers vigorously with an incredibly bright smile to boot, just making sure all of his energy was channelled down her arm with one hell of an eager handshake, taking his seat again with a still bright expression as they talked about pay.
“Minimum wage until you feel I’ve earned more. Not a penny more.” He borderline demanded. It wasn’t like he needed it. He barely needed to eat thanks to his quirk helping him break down every last fragment of anything he ate, and he could find a lot of fun in activities that didn’t involve needing to pay for them. As for his informant- “Don’t worry about my sources either. They’re just happy to see the scum off the streets. Of course they may not be able to help me if you ever wanted to ‘aim’ at specific people, they’re not that well connected but… I assure you you’ll be the first to know when they have something I can share.~”
As for his own hours and questions, he shook his head. “I’d just need a schedule of your own working hours and I could practically work from home. Of course I’d be more than happy to work from your own office spaces if you prefer, but it’s a relatively easy job once you have connections like mine, and I’d be more than happy to provide my services at the bare minimum when working for a hero such as yourself.~”
He bowed his head over the desk. “Genuinely, I am just happy to be able to help you great heroes. As someone like myself who was never lucky enough to have a quirk, I almost feel it’s my duty to support you where I can.”

“I’ll hold you to your word on that...just as long as both of us do our job then it will be smooth sailing from here”, she opened with as he began to shake his hand. “Once we are done here, I’ll make sure to set everything up and I will pass this up to the others about the interview and they’ll get back to you. Welcome aboard, Niso.” Freya replied as she shook his hand. “And for the record, the pay here is relatively higher due to the position being needed and the hours here can get brutal at times..but I trust that you can adapt to it.”
Of course as she shook his hand, she made a deal with the devil as she is surely going to have more trouble come her way in the future. But if it's for the sake of justice then she is willing to make a few sacrifices for the good of the public. She just has to make sure that only a select few of the Hounds know of this so she can have it on file. It's better to be safe than sorry when it comes to deals like this. Even if word gets out and stuff starts to get bad, burning the file can come in handy if it's ever used as a bargaining chip. These types of deals never go well once the entire thing is found out and even worse if its for a team like the Hounds. The gate to the underworld and this dog is going into it face first.
Her reservations were obvious as she was taking a huge risk in taking this deal. If anyone in the hero world finds out, trust in her is going to go down in the eyes of a few dozen pros. Getting her hands dirty is a necessary justice but it doesn't make it any easier to do. This ain't the Strip where its all centered around gambling and the drug trade. A whole new colossus stands before her and she needs to be ready for when it eventually comes for her. Adding on her level of districts with this dude, he seems way too clean cut for his liking and simply calling him out is too risky. He is hiding something and he is letting off more than what it seems. Rooting out the problem now is going to be an issue so for now, she will have to stand back and wait for any developments. Even telling a few select people she can trust in the department to keep an eye out and report to her.
For now she will play it safe and work with him but she needs to get a few friends from out of the department to look into this dude. Something about him seems off but she can't put her finger on it. Let's play the long game for now and see how this develops.
“I’ll make sure to send a copy of my work hours and areas I usually patrol...just make sure that the party finds me”, Freya responds to his request for her schedule. Luckily for her, it changes often so giving him a small fraction of what it actually is going to help her in the long run. Bread trail and the like.
As he bowed his head, she just patted him on the shoulder as he finished bowing. “Eh don't sweat it, we’re now business partners. Quirks and hero titles are all relative, I just wanna see what I can do against the all the bastards who think they can control the world...”

As Freya made it extremely clear he definitely had the position here Niso’s smile got more eager and brighter. Of course she diiiiid emphasize that the hours and pay would both be higher than he might otherwise like, but… honestly he trusted he could tune that down quickly enough. If he worked extra had on his role being seen as invaluable and focused on the media side of things and slipping her some fuzzy intel on his criminal rivals, Niso would likely find himself with equal pay and far less hours if he could prove the few hours he did need were worth it. And with a direct link to tokyo’s criminal world… he was pretty sure it’d be worth it…~
“I’m sure I can handle it Hellhound. I won’t be letting you down anytime soon…!~” Of course… soon was a relative term.~ Going forward this wasn’t going to be an easy game to play. As much as she seemed naïve in hiring him with the offer he’d made, Niso wasn’t a fool as much as his actions may hint otherwise. He knew Hellhound was, arguably, one of the most trained pros in the system. She had actual police experience prior to becoming a full fledged hero and still basically managed a firm, well structured team. Going forward she wasn’t about to let someone who was effectively in contact with confidential informants go unobserved… but Niso was in this for the long haul. He had a few tricks of his own up his sleeve, he’d just have to wait for the right time to deploy each of them to his benefit.
“Absolutely Miss HellHound. If I hear of any big crimes from my contacts I’ll be sure you get advanced warning. Of course, I’m not all knowing through them, so while I’ll do my utmost to make sure you hear what I hear, I’m sure you’ll still be working hard to catch all the criminals I don’t hear about through the grapevine.~” He chimed with a warm smile, starting to rise up as their work seemed to be nearing a close, and he had an easy excuse to not suddenly start the work day on the spot.
“Well I’ll be sure to help you against not just those er… ‘bastards’.” He let out, pretending to have an issue with cursing giving the more nervous disposition of this persona. “But even those who just…”
“…Want to watch the world burn.~”
