While sorta running, skipping around the containers, Honey felt rather content. She had flown down the tower, with her new suit, yay! Now only a little bit further and she would be able to see the hole in the middle of the deck to go below right. She just needed to dash over two of the last containers to get to the middle as she had just made her way to the second row of containers. That's when Honey twitched a little with her hidden ears as she heard a click and a creaking sound. She stopped and walked to the edge of the container but did not see anything until she lowered herself on her knees and dangled her face in front of the door that had just opened... oh... wait did she start this booby trap simply because she was walking over the containers that wasn't fair she wasn't that heavy! For a second she forgot to pay attention to the booby trap as she had gone to sit straight up and pout, but that didn't take too long before she could look down, she already was eye in eye with a mini-missile. Uh oh.
Quickly running around in circles over the three connected containers she had no eye for something else, the missile was really following her. What to doooo! Right, eh, do something, so it did follow her in circles and would not take that long to catch up with her, what would she do? She looked around while trying to make other dashing movements to shake that thing off, albeit she had learned it was not actually possible to shake it off. She turned around, jumped up and slammed her tail against it, she was so scared it would hit her first but she had managed to do as she wanted and slung the mini-missile against the side of the ship, hoping that she had broken it by doing so. No time to check as she quickly got herself back and looked where she was and ran towards the meeting point with Karen and Kumoko. They had to get below the ship. She crossed the fourth container that stood out a little more towards the stairway and jumped down, trying to see if she could already spot her teammates.

As Karen lifted Kumoko up, the spider girl had a thought. I'm not too heavy, am I? She did not want to be a burden to her teammate. Not that Kumoko was fat, but she always felt bad whenever someone lifted her up, no matter how many times they insisted that she was fine. But fortunately, it looked like the spider girl's weight would not be an issue.
But now was not the time to worry about such trivial things. It was time to get ready to keep an eye or six out for anything suspicious. Though so far, everything was normal. There was no need to worry for now. Still, that could easily change at any time, and Kumoko was determined to be ready for whenever that time came.
And far sooner than expected, it seemed that a trap was triggered! Kumoko looked surprised. She did not notice anything while looking around or listening. Was this trap activated by someone else? Was it activated remotely? The girl had so many questions. But there was no time to think. Kumoko's eyes widened upon seeing the missiles fly up. Missiles?! Oh no! There were six of them. Six. One for each student? The missiles seemed to separate and head off to different directions. Or more specifically, different targets. It did not take the spider girl long to realize that two of the missiles were coming towards her and Karen.
"Karen! Over there!" Kumoko instinctively yelled out, pointing up at the oncoming missiles. Quick, think! What to do? Several plans rushed through the girl's head as she began to think of what to do and how to deal with these missiles. It was unlikely that these were lethal, but it was probably not a good idea to get hit by these either. But what was the best way of getting rid of these missiles? She could not ask Karen to fly around to avoid the missiles. as that would waste the girl's energy. No, Kumoko would rather use her own quirk now and let Karen save up her energy.
Kumoko then got an idea. "Karen! Put me down real quick, please!" Immediately afterwards, Kumoko began producing her golden silk from the spinneret on the back of her head. This silk would travel down the tube attached to the spinneret, delivering the silk to the gauntlets on her hands. Raising her palms forward, Kumoko would then launch some golden web strings from the holes on her gauntlets, aiming for the walls of the nearby containers. She also spat out webs from her mouth to speed up what she was doing. The way the girl was rapidly shooting her strings, she was creating a miniature web to catch the missile with. With how many layers Kumoko was making, she hoped that this golden net would be durable enough to withstand the force of the incoming missile.
By the time Kumoko finished making her multilayered mini web, the missile would collide with it. The spider girl expected one of two results. The missile would probably either: One, explode upon contact, and the web would serve as a blast shield to keep Kumoko safe; Or two, catch the missile and slow it down to a stop, and then have the missile be bounced back and launched away like a pellet from a slingshot. And in the case of the latter, the missile would hopefully be shot towards the cargo container in front.
Though of course, if Karen had her own plan she wanted to carry out, Kumoko would listen and help her out with that. But either way, Kumoko did not want her teammate to worry about both missiles. And with any luck, the missile targeting Kumoko would no longer be a problem. And if Karen wanted to, she could use Kumoko's web to stop her own missile in the same way the spider girl stopped hers. All she would need to do was let Kumoko know, and the spider girl would reinforce her web just in case its current thickness would not be enough to stop two missiles.
Afterwards, it was time to get moving. Kumoko wanted to go meet up with Honey and get to the entrance to the lower deck as quickly as possible. I hope Honey is doing alright. Hopefully she and Karen would meet up with Honey soon. And more importantly, she hoped that her team would get to the lower deck before the boys could hope to try getting there.

As Taka jumped to the sky Berker was surprised how strong he was. Holding onto 2 person while doing this kind of thing should need very strong muscles and quirk. Thinking how he was doubtful at the beginning, he started to think that he had to start believing in others more. Just as Berker was thinking this Taka said something he truly didn't expected. "Did he really didn't think about landing part?!" oh boy... This Taka guy surely knows how to create feeling of security and then destroy it in few seconds. But that was not the only surprise waiting for them.
As missiles started to fly out of containers Berker yelled to Matt and Taka to make sure both of them was aware the situation they were in. "We have missiles coming out of containers!" this time Berker didn't talk short as he did with his quirks. He wanted to make sure they understand what he's saying exactly. As his one hand hold onto Taka he prepared his left hand which holds his Staff. Matt's barrier would stop all of them effectively but if he couldn't react in time Berker would try to hit missiles out of the way. By doing this he would shield his team with his body but this was the best course of action he could come up with. Taka was carrying them after all so the only one who could stop it right now was Berker and Matt.
If Matt didn't react in time to create one of his barriers to save all 3 of them, Berker would take the initiative. "Throw me to the missiles if you can Taka!" he yelled as they were still in the air. Berker thought that he could stop all of them by making them explode or made them hit to containers around him by redirecting them with his Staff. He would expand his Staff to 2 meter full form and smack the missiles. Taka was taking them close to stairs so while he was dealing with missiles Taka and Matt could descend and begin their search. Berker would follow them right after he was done with missiles.

Yasashi was well aware that his jump would fall short of the overall distance that he wanted to make. Their landing would put them atop one of the cargo containers near the entrance to the lower levels. That was great and all, but circumstances had already deemed to turn against Yasashi and his newfound comrades. He heard the rockets go off before he saw anything; his focus entirely on one of the few landing strategies he had in mind. This would jostle them a little; but it should at the ver- the rockets. The rockets would completely derail everything. He needed to think; and think fast. Between his bone armor and Matt's barrier they should be able to mitigate the impact of their descent, Berker seemed to believe he could handle the rockets but he wasn't going to throw a friend away.
Swallowing his pride he decided on a course of action. He'd need to lay out one of his cards right at the beginning of the match, possibly showing the others a mechanic of his quirk he'd kept carefully hidden. He tensed his arms and allowed a skeletal hand to grip onto Berker's waistband, the use of his quirk took less than a heartbeat. The next instant he did exactly as Berker suggested and from his position in mid air he hurled his comrade at the oncoming rockets. But it was what was trailing behind Berker that drew a bit of attention; a chain made of bone limbs, each of them gripping one another to form a flexible 'rope'. His toss had altered their trajectory a little and they'd land a little to the left of where he intended, but maybe a bit further forward. He grit his teeth.
"That's my move! Matt! Catch us!" He bellowed, hoping Berker could pull off whatever he intended.

It was less of them tripping any traps and more of whoever was monitoring the situation triggering obstacles for them to take care of. In this case, missiles weren't exactly subtle so she became aware of them almost at the same time Kumoko pointed them out. Her teammate seemed to have a plan, asking to be set down for a bit. She assumed aiming webs while flying around at high speed was probably a challenge for someone not used to flying so it couldn't be helped. She obliged the spider girl's request but didn't stray too far from her teammate either. As expected Kumoko's intention was to create a net of webs to try and stop the missiles. This seemed like a good opportunity to test their combination. "Both the missiles are heading our way so let's stop them together. Keep a line connected to your net Kumoko-kun!"Placing her hand on Kumoko's shoulder, she would extend her aura to her teammate and along the webs the spider girl was shooting. The end result was a multilayered web that was also clad in Karen's aura, ready to take the impact from both missiles at once. The other reason she stayed close to Kumoko was that, should their defensive measure fail, she could easily grab the girl and retreat out of that area. Once the danger had passed, she would once more pickup her teammate and continue heading towards the entrance leading below deck, flying over the webs and keeping an eye out for the other team. Her other reason for flying up was that she figured a missile was also sent Honey's way and so she wanted to check on things just in case. If the squirrel girl was alright, she would proceed to head down with Kumoko to continue with their objective.

The sounds of explosions resound from each end of the boat, as each student finds their own way to deal with the incoming threat. Some choose to attack the missile with their weapon- Others form a shield to block it, and yet others support their teammates in their efforts. Unfortunately, attacking the weapon up close, only means that when it explodes, they are still within it's blast radius- An especial misfortune for the squirrel girl whose weapon is her tail. But no less misfortunate is the Monkey King, who took it upon himself to take the missile calibrated for his partner... But through his sacrifice, their team ekes out an unexpected edge, making it to the entrance of the ship's interior no later than the significantly faster team Red.
For the blue team, it certainly seems that risk equals reward- For as Karen and Yasashi approach the entrance of the ramp, both teams will hear the loudest explosion of the six, followed by a spirited cry of ""Hyahoooo!" from above... Propelled by this explosion, ANZHOP's representative takes the stage in... Style? Or perhaps he would, if he had stuck the landing, instead of tumbling down the ramp and into it's depths, his pink hair singed at the edges, and his armor leaving pieces along the way.
Midway down the ramp, the boy rises to his feet... "Wahaha! I can't believe that worked! Am I a genius, or what?" Comes the bragging rights of the first to arrive. As if he can recover the style points he lost by his facefirst landing, the boy's head swivels to face his teammates- Or at least what's left of his helmet does. "Buahaha, you should see your face!" Comes the pot calling the kettle black- The boy calling out either or both of Berker and Honey for their smoked appearance, irregardless of his own. But it's not entirely dawdling- As he speaks, a pair of unecessarily stylish holsters at his waist open up, a pair of energy drinks shooting forth for the boy to snag from the air...
No, Liam, it's too late to regain style points, you know!
His helmet swiveling back around to the dark depths of the ship, lights beep around the visor, mostly green, but a few red... As expected, his sensors couldn't come out of such a blast unscathed... Nor could he, clearly, his next step nearly tumbling once more, and only supported by his exoskeletal armor.
"Wehehe, how fun! Hey, I wonder how accurate this ship is! To the engine room!" Came the declaration of a boy who clearly had let his love of large vehicles supercede his better judgement. Well, with no other hints as to the hostage's location, the engine room was as good a spot to check as any... Wasn't it? However, if that was his endgame, fate had different plans in store... For despite the best efforts of his homemade tech, one of the features that had been knocked out by the blast... Was the one which would warn him of the flase floor he was about to step upon.
With a "Wauugh!" The pink haired boy suddenly disappears never to be seen again. But his fate is a warning to others- This ramp has it's fair share of booby traps! Even flying in from above won't be enough to spare team Red from the fun, as a set of red lasers creates an ominous grid directly in their path... We wanted to make them infrared, but it was determined that it wasn't fair for them to be invisible.

Hehehe, she could perfectly handle herself well. She was satisfied with the smack of her tail to the missile and had turned around. Honey made a little play of it by dusting off her hands but then BOOM! The little one was blown forward and rolled to try and get rid of the impact over the cargo container before she almost fell off. Hanging with her head over it but her legs and tail still on the container, it saved her from falling down. "Oops." She stated drily as she looked over her shoulder by lifting herself up a little and making sure not another was arriving and so on, she climbed back up. Now that had distracted her, her ears were ringing and she swore she heard more as well. Honey simply shivered and jumped down when she felt stable enough to run to the place where to go below deck. She hid herself, would they attack each other when no one got to the task yet?
She wasn't sure actually if she was hurt and now that she stood still, she checked herself, but it was mostly her back and tail that felt sore and she would maybe ask Kumoko later. "Hey guys!" She came out of her little hiding place when she spotted Kumoko and Karen and hurried to their side, she turned to her friend, "It blasted in my back, am I okay?" It was probably her adrenaline and hyperactive state that made her feel well only stings. It would be fun, she looked down, "S-should we go?" It looked scary and she was already afraid to step on many traps and so on. She was that clumsy, wasn't she?
Obviously, they had to go but she would rather suggest Kumoko and Karen go first, they were smarter and she would jump in their footsteps, that was probably her best idea. Depending on what the others said, she would either just follow or she would still go first but she would be nervous and hesitantly on taking steps. She had no idea someone fell before her as she had not paid attention to it but now this was all she could do for the matter and she would do it as bravely as she could! This was supposed to be fun and she had not minded the missile at all, she just didn't want to ruin it for her team, simple as that.

Kumoko sighed in relief. It was good to see that her webs combined with Karen's aura were sufficient enough in stopping the missiles that targeted them. She smiled cheerfully at her teammate. "Awesome job!" The spider girl did not want to think about what would have happened if the reinforced web did not work. Or even worse, if she had no help with that. But fortunately, all was well for the duo.
But what of their third teammate? How did Honey fare against the missile that targeted her? Upon seeing that the missiles that had hit the web upon contact, it made Kumoko worry. It was clear that anyone who fought at close range would be at a disadvantage when it came to dealing with the missile. Did Honey even have a way of attacking from afar? If not, then did she get hurt? And just how badly was she hurt? Honey, please be okay!
Once Kumoko and Karen met up with their teammate, there were two things that Kumoko had noticed that spelled bad news. First, of course, was Honey. It was clear that the poor squirrel girl did not come out of that missile encounter unscathed. "Omigosh, are you alright?! Does it hurt?! Do you need me to treat you?" If Honey allowed it, and if Karen raised no objections, then Kumoko would take out her first-aid kit and do her best to treat Honey's injuries as quickly as she could while still being as thorough as possible with the patching up. Otherwise, Kumoko would show very visible concern, but ultimately and reluctantly nod. After all, there was not much time to waste. That, of course, was because of the second piece of bad news.
The members of blue team had caught up! With how fast her teammates were, Kumoko assumed that they could beat the boys to the ramp. But it seemed that the girls had lost time with dealing with the missile in a safe manner. While Kumoko and Karen ultimately made it out of that mess okay, it was because they chose to play it safe. But that meant that the boys were able to get a move on. On the bright side, it did not look like blue team made it out of the missile attack unscathed. They seemed to have two people injured compared to just Honey on red team. Still, Kumoko felt bad for the injured. Sadly, this was a competition. So there was no time to show concern for her opponents. She and her team needed to keep moving.
Kumoko looked nervous upon looking down the ramp. No doubt that there were more traps lying in wait, possibly worse than the missiles. But there was no choice. The girls needed to get moving. And that meant having to take the risk and walk down the ramp. "I'll go in first, watching and listening for any traps." Kumoko's senses were sharper than average, so it only made sense for her to go in first. If Honey or Karen had any other suggestions, Kumoko would listen to them and go along with whatever they thought was best. But otherwise, Kumoko believed it was best for her to lead the way.
"Follow behind me, and be ready to move out of the way when I give the word in case I mess up and trigger a trap." It was not her senses letting her down that Kumoko was worried about. Rather, it was her bad luck deciding to mess her up by having her clumsiness set in. The last thing she wanted was to suddenly trip and then subsequently activate every single trap on the way down the ramp. It was scary to think about, but the poor spider girl needed to prepare for any possibility, even that one.
Okay, here goes everything...
Kumoko took a step forward. And another. And another. The fact that she did not immediately trip or trigger a trap was nothing short of a miracle. But no time to focus on that! She had a job to do! There were traps to avoid, lasers to maneuver around, and teammates to guide safely. She had to listen carefully, look around for spots on the floor that seemed odd, and pray to whatever deity or deities or whatever was out there that her spider senses would not fail her now.
But there was one thing constantly bothering her as she made her cautious descent down the ramp. And that worry could be summed up in two words: the boys. What if they recklessly chose to run ahead, triggering every trap and leaving the girls to deal with that as well? Or even worse, chose to attack them? As scary as that sounded, it was sadly a very real possibility. Kumoko personally preferred the safe and cautious route, but that did not mean that everyone shared that same sentiment. "Be careful." Kumoko spoke quietly, almost at a whisper, but definitely loud enough for Honey and Karen to listen. "Anything can happen. It's not just the traps we need to look out for. Who knows what Blue Team might try to do." Perhaps it was unnecessary for Kumoko to state the obvious, but better safe than sorry.
If by some miracle Kumoko was able to guide Karen and Honey safely down the ramp without triggering a single trap, she would sigh in relief and look at her teammates. "So which way should we go now?" The girls could move forward, or perhaps they could go around the ramp and head to the opposite side of the ship's interior. But which was the right way to go? Kumoko was scared of making the wrong choice and messing up. She trusted the other girls' intuitions over her own. Whatever they decided, Kumoko would follow.

"Wow wow... Chains? Ain't you too cool?" Berker thought as Taka send him towards the missiles with his chains. This guy was full of surprises! Berker almost felt ashamed that his quirk was a plain one. Almost... But that thought faded away as soon as it came. He had to deal with incoming missiles! As he extended his staff he hit the two of the missiles coming their way. As missiles exploded with his contact, he was surprised how much explosive power they had. He thought it'd be a simple missile that didn't had much punch. Oh how wrong he was... Perhaps blocking it for Taka also affected him a little but he wasn't in a position to calculate that kind of complex things. Due to explosion some of Berker's fur got fire and he got a decent amount of damage, but it wasn't anything to worry about. His staff also took good amount of damage from the impact and explosion but it was still in one piece so everything was good.
As they landed close to stairs, thanks to explosions power, Berker watched his teammate Liam coming with explosion and going with explosion. "What the fu..." his mouth was wide open, he almost forgot some of his fur was in fire. "What did he just do?! Was he even okay after that?!" as he thought that he put the fire off in his fur, thankfully it didn't burn him, it was just simple fire. Only problem now he was looking half naked... Well that shouldn't be too much of a problem. "I'm fine, i'm fine..." he said turning to Taka, "You good?" They could do nothing about their teammate. Only God knew where he fell and what he was about to face.
After getting up he saw enemy team was also here. Holding his staff in his hand he watch them carefully. Letting them go would probably work in their favor, as they would either activate the traps and fall to their doom. Or they would deactivate them so Berker and Taka could simply follow their steps. The only problem about that was they would give them the lead on finding the target too... Or they could just attack them after they entered to lower deck. "Wait wait wait... Kumoko can simple put web to stairs if they go first..." Berker whispered to himself, in a volume that only Taka can hear.
What about fighting them? While Taka head away Berker could just stop them here. Problem with this was all of the his team would get separated, Liam was lost, Berker would fight and Taka would search. Getting away from each other in the beginning of contest didn't sound well. What if both Berker and Taka fought and left the searching to Liam? It was not a good plan thinking that they didn't even know what happened to Liam.
What other options to they have? Charging ahead and causing havoc or going with caution as Berker checked floor with his staff. Perhaps Taka had some ability to search area for traps? That would be great. But this plan would require them to turn their back on enemy team. What if they attacked? How could they trust them? There was so many questions, yet no answers... What a problem it was.
"What do we do? Shall we go first or let them go?" Berker whispered to Taka. He didn't even asked about attacking them, thinking not only it would put them on disadvantage, he also thought Taka wouldn't want them. After seeing Liam just fell to his doom he wasn't so keen to take the lead but he could check floors with his staff. He believed 2 meter range of his staff would be safe for them as traps would be still 2 meters away when they were triggered. "I can check traps by tapping my staff if you want us to go first. Or we can just go full monkey and activate everything. I'm afraid about Kumoko and her webs if they manage to descend first." Berker would follow Taka whatever he decided.

The landing was not one of Yasashi's proudest moments. They skidded to a halt; grinding against the ground while his armor took most of the damage. His body tensed unintentionally as he forced them to halt; using a couple of skeletal arms to act as breaks against the ground. A few of them broke trying to slow them down but eventually, they came to a stop. Above; a pink-haired boy came hurtling down at them; Yasashi's eyes practically bulged in disbelief as he made his merry way to in the direction of the hall and what was most assuredly more traps. Not wasting any time he began to cycle through his mental list of pre-planned skeletal constructs. He only had three 'frames' at the moment; Humanoid, Hound, and Hands. That would have to be enough. With his concentration was on getting to the ramp as quickly as possible, he couldn't spare the time to come up with something on the fly.
He glanced in Berker's direction as the boy spoke and laughed; "Just watch my back; it's my turn to take on some of the hurt!" He guffawed; slapping Berker on the shoulder. A small blue flame caught on Berker's clothing and spread to his skin, it would feel cool, almost like aloe. "That'll help with the scrapes," He said and picked up his pace; "Just don't let it spread to an enemy," He added, squinting at the hallway and looking around for their opposition. ...they were already in the path! He frowned; trying to figure out the best way to... he chuckled. So according to the proctor; one side were heroes and the other side were villains, right?
Yasashi grinned a little; "Time to play the villain;" He said, pointing down the hallway and with a shuddering grunt, created a Quartet of skeletal dogs; barely larger than a Doberman each. They couldn't take much of a hit but they were quick as a whip. He smiled and urged the four of them to run straight into the hallway to set off the traps on the opposing team while he rushed for he hole that their teammate had fallen into. He leaned over it and peered inside; unfortunately he couldn't see in the dark. "You alright down there? Need a hand?" He called, creating a pair of skeletal hands to hang down and wave frantically to get his attention. He looked up in time for the dogs to begin setting off traps.
"If you can reach them they'll pull you up!" Yasashi called down, getting up and making for the ramp. "My dogs will distract them but only for a bit; we best move fast. Just run for it!" He called over to Berker and darted down the ramp, following whatever path of destruction his dogs left and as far as he could get.

They had been playing it safe all this time and as much as Karen would have preferred to be speedier, the steadier and more careful approach left them with less unnecessary injuries. And so she had no objections with Kumoko quickly patching up Honey and then leading the way down the ramp. With her teammate bravely taking responsibility for the traps in front, she figured it was up to her to cover their back. Honey would be in the middle in this formation until the squirrel girl felt better. "If you can try to disable the traps from afar with your webs that would be helpful. Sadly I don't have much in the way of range so I'll have to leave the minesweeping to you Kumoko-kun. I'll cover the rear should the other team try anything."No sooner had she spoken when four skeletal dogs would come up from behind them. No doubt this was the handiwork of Yasashi. Well she was probably partly to blame as glowing didn't make it too hard to target her group so she might as well take responsibility. Thanks to Kumoko they ought to be able to avoid most traps but fighting there would definitely be a big problem. She had to separate from the group. "You two go on ahead. I'll catch up for sure~"Before the dogs could reach their position, Karen would break away and intercept them. The corridors were small and she would use this to her advantage. Even with four dogs coming, with her speed and mobility she ought to be able to tag them all and keep them occupied. Zipping around, she would begin with a greeting of hitting them once each, knocking them into the closest walls. From there she would wait and see if they would still be able to move or if it was enough to incapacitate them. The sooner she could join up with the others the better. But she would make sure of the dogs got passed her. She would keep her shields up of course as who knew what sort of traps this scuffle could trigger.

The props department had truly outdone themselves in their design of the ship—for as the both teams descended down the ramp, a chill would creep over their previously sun-baked arms and shoulders. The yawning, cavernous steel “cargo ship” was only dimly lit by winking, yellow lights, vaguely outlining the shipping containers that were below-deck. Each pitch of the ship upon the artificial waves seemed to make the lights flicker. Kumoko descended the ramp with the uptmost caution—and her caution was rewarded with a mostly uneventful descent down the ramp—operative word, mostly. Just towards the bottom of the ramp, her foot would find a tile unlike many of the others. Under the weight of her step, it would depress into the floor—and regardless of how quickly she lifted her foot, the trap was already triggered. When it comes to fires upon maritime vessels, ships of the same magnitude of the cargo ship that the students were now boarding were rigged much like giant buildings—with a sprinkler system. And, in most situations, sprinklers dispersed water—but not in this situation. Kumoko’s misstep triggered a violent downpour of acrid, yellowish smoke, which would within a minute fill the entire lower deck. This was the same kind of flame-retardant that one would find in a fire-extinguisher, but on a grander scale. Within a minute, this acrid flame retardant would (unless cleared or avoided by the students on either end of the ship) obscure their vision and agitate their lungs—and for those with more sensitive senses, the sprinkler-induced fog had the capacity to be much, much worse. Could they continue on through it without clearing it? Of course. But it would be quite miserable. Meanwhile, despite the sudden (and perhaps spontaneous-seeming) introduction of the yellow fog, and Liam’s ass-over-kettle topple into the depths below, Blue Team was faring relatively well for themselves. Yasashi’s skeletal dogs, once summoned, tore down the hall at breakneck speeds, doing as the muscle-bound teen had hoped—underneath their careless paw-falls, lasers were tripped left-and-right, beeping lyrically, like strange robotic birds. Beneath the blanket of reduced visibility, there were now pitfalls that could hinder a team-member’s advance, surprise inclines that led to yet another level (now wasn’t that mean), air cannons aimed at head-level and designed to startle, and the likes—and even then, there were still a myriad of pressure-plates just waiting to be stepped-on. If Yasashi, Berker, and Liam weren’t careful with their steps, more sabotage might await them. “Are we going to the engine room?” the pink-haired lad spoke brightly, his enthusiasm tangible. He saw the skeletal hands, and took a hold, hoisted from the place from whence he’d taken a topple. Liam was, admittedly, more of a car-nerd than a boat-nerd, so he wasn’t entirely sure of where the engine room was located. The engine of a car was in the front, although the exhaust was in the back… were boats the same? Had he known better, he wouldn’t have been so complacent as to grab the skeletal hands, and he wouldn’t have charged haphazardly after Yasashi, whooping with excitement. Subtlety was… not his strong point. “Engine room! Engine room!” he chanted, “If this puppy is fully functional I am so salvaging it for p-”He broke-off into a coughing fit, loudly and hoarsely, having inhaled an entire mouthful of the flame retardant. Meanwhile, the dogs managed to reach the Red Team, with chaos in their wake. Karen’s first hit landed true, destroying the dog, but the second bone-dog was luckier. Her blow only glanced the construct, and sent it clattering, but it was not out-of-commission yet. … Somewhere in the depths of the lower deck, Blank listened to the chaos unfolding farther off in the vessel. The rush of the sprinklers going-off, the lyrical tweet-a-tweet of various lasers being tripped. Intentionally? Unintentionally? Irrelevant. Blank chuckled to himself, reclining against a wall. The silver-haired instructor had, with the help of his crimson-haired companion, affixed handcuffs of his wrists and ankles before quietly disembarking from the ship. What was a hostage without some restraints?

Honey felt a little more relieved when Kumoko took care of her little burns and she looked up grateful to her and Karen when they decided to decent quickly down the stairs. She offered not to go first, even though her enhanced hearing might help, it would definitely not help her impatience that was a thing, she would definitely rush down the stairs. It was good to know that of herself. So she let Kumoko go first and nodded at Karen's suggestion to go second. The creepy atmosphere made her walk close to where Kumoko was walking and she took her steps carefully where Kumoko had stepped. She sighed in relief when she saw the bottom, "Yea we made it!"
Obviously Honey had spoken too fast and the furball immediately regretten when she noticed the step of Kumoko sank a little lower. She would grab hold onto her arm to make sure her clumsy friend wouldn't fall, she expected it after all and looked around. No fire-spitting dragons? Spears to make them into kebab? Nope, everything was... holy harpies! That hurrrrttt! She made a squeaky bad sound and burried her face in her hands, not that it helped. She lifted up the lower part of her hero outfit and pulled her hat over her eyes. "Can someone switch it off?" She muttered muffled because of her shirt. She walked the last few steps down to be done with the descending and went to sit on the ground. She had no idea how to continue, she wasn't the decision-maker and she couldn't do anything either. How did you stop this? She once heard you had to throw milk in your face but she couldn't remember where and of course no one was carrying milk, would water make it worse? She kept her eyes firmly shut and tried to not breathe, which made her gasp for air at stupid times and she wasn't sure what to do or where to go for that matter and remained seated until someone would give her instructions.

As Kumoko continued heading down the ramp, the only thing she could think of (besides trying to do everything in her power to NOT mess up and cause trouble for her team by accidentally triggering a trap) was what to do if the boys did indeed start to cause trouble. After all, this is a competition. Only one team could win. So it was not unreasonable to feel wary about what the opposing team might try. There was not a lot the spider-headed girl could do to retaliate should the boys try anything. She just needed to have faith in Karen and her abilities. Surely she would be fine protecting Red Team if an ambush did happen.
I need to believe in her. And I can't let my team down, because they're counting on me! I just need to be careful. Slow and steady wins the race. No need to rush.
However, all the caution and care in the world could not prepare the poor girl for what would come next. While dangers one could see were certainly worth being afraid of, what was truly frightening were the dangers that one could not see. And there was no way that Kumoko's sharp eyes and sound-detecting spider legs could see this trap coming. One small step was all it took. And with that tiny step, everything went wrong.
...Uh oh. Why did my foot just sink like that? Is that...?
Fortunately, Honey grabbed Kumoko before the spider-headed girl could slip and fall. Unfortunately, the spider girl had just realized what she ended up doing.
...Oh crud.
It was too late. Kumoko saw the threat before she could even open her mouth to warn the others. Her six eyes widened in shock upon seeing that yellowish smoke. Omigosh, what is that?! Kumoko did not know just what kind of gas that was. However, it did not take a genius to figure out that inhaling something like that was VERY BAD. Quick, dummy, think! There was no time to just stand there and do nothing. If she did not come up with a plan soon, then everyone was in trouble!
But the trouble did not stop there! Just as Kumoko feared, Blue Team did in fact began causing trouble. The spider girl did not even have to turn her head around to see. She could hear all those sounds of traps going off left and right. If there were any traps coming her and Honey's way, Kumoko would do her best to avoid them all. Thankfully, it seemed that Karen could handle this, telling Kumoko and Honey to go on ahead. Her aura can protect her, right? She was unsure, but there was no time. The girls needed to keep moving. So with a nod, Kumoko left Karen to take care of things here. Just be sure to hurry back. There was no need to warn the girl to be careful. That much was obvious. It was better to worry about herself and Honey, how they would be able to deal with that gas.
Okay, I have my goggles, so my eyes should be fine. But I need some way to keep that gas away! Inhaling it is bad, and I doubt even touching it would be anything close to good. Come on, think! And that was when Kumoko thought of something. It was not perfect, and the girl doubted it came anywhere close, but it was all she could think of right now.
Right away, Kumoko frantically began producing as much golden silk as she could manage. Once enough silk was poured onto her hands, the girl quickly began mushing the mass together, using the very front of her spider legs to help mold and shape the silk, just like a spider uses its legs to help build and shape its web. It was not perfect as the girl was on a timer, but she had essentially created makeshift gas masks. While it was unlikely to be effective enough to keep the dangerous gas out, Kumoko hoped it was good enough to be able to breathe and not completely inhale all of that dangerous smoke.
Of course, Kumoko made sure to create extras, even one for the captain that needed to be rescued. I suppose it wouldn't be very heroic if I forgot to make one for the person we're supposed to be saving, right? After putting on her own mask, it was time to pocket the extra masks. Even if Karen's aura could protect her, it was best to have one for her so she could try to conserve her quirk.
But just as Kumoko was about to turn to Honey to give her a mask too, the spider girl let out a gasp. "Oh no! Honey-chan, you alright?" She did not want to think that she was too slow in making the masks, but that seemed to be the unfortunate case here. She quickly put the mask on the poor squirrel girl. "It's not much, but it's better than nothing."
However, this was merely a temporary solution. There had to be a way to deal with this horrid fog. Assuming that Kumoko had been quick enough to avoid making contact with the gas, she would think of a crazy idea. The girl began spitting more golden silk and shaping it as quickly as she could before it was too late. Her goal was to create a makeshift blanket to try and fan the gas away and give herself and Honey more room to breathe in some cleaner air.
Of course, Kumoko's plan was not perfect. It was very likely that she would take too long to finish weaving her silk. And in that case, then there would definitely be some exposure to the gas. "ACK!" With any luck, the poor girl's lungs would be spared thanks to the makeshift mask. But there was always the chance it wasn't. And even though her eyes were covered thanks to the goggles, the gas was still thick enough to where it made it harder to see. And her spider legs had no coverage at all. Wh-what the heck kind of gas is this? I can't see! My spidey senses! Wha...?
The most important thing right now was to not get separated from Honey. So reaching for Honey's hand, Kumoko held it firmly. "Hold on tight! It's hard to see anything in this! We can't afford to get separated!"
Now that it was unlikely for the two girls to separate from each other, it was time to try and figure out how to traverse through this mess. "Okay, which way to go?" Where could the captain be? And which was the fastest way out of this crummy gas? If the two could somehow not get slowed down and manage to find their way, then Kumoko would suggest heading east, unless Honey convinced her otherwise. Honestly, it was just a random guess. But who knew where the captain could be hiding?

"Thanks" Berker said as Taka put some kind of fire on his wounds. It was healing his wounds, he had some nice abilities. First the chain second the healing. As he watch Taka send dogs and pull up the other member of their team from the despair he thought what they shall do next. Girls had advantage, they had to go faster in order to caught them. While Berker was trying to think what they must do suddenly some kind of has started to spread all over the ship.
"Another trap... This is getting annoying..." It started feel less and less like "rescue" mission. Instead of trying to rescue someone they were trying to stay alive against the traps. As gas get close Berker stayed next to Taka and tried to spin his Staff fast enough to repel the gas. He never tried it before so wasn't sure if it would succeed.
-If it succeed Berker would say, "Okay, at least i got this. Let's start descending so we can caught red team." and start descending down the ramp.
-If it doesn't succeed "Cough... cough... God damn it..." His lungs was burning every time he tried to take a breath. And not only that the fire Taka put on him was also put out thanks to the gas. Berker was still thankful with the healing he got, as list he was feeling better then he was before. "I got nothing, sorry. Let's just head down to catch up with them." Berker would start heading down from ramp.
