It was about 1 AM on technically a Sunday. Filming a part of the sequel of the Jungle Princess. It was either that they started early or continued on straight into the evening. They were almost done, one more set, one more though. They were having a break and Honey walked around, she did not even have the energy to run around as she normally did as her squirrel counterparts made her energetic to the point of hyperactive and so on. It was hard to see her so tired. But with going to school, classes on every day of the week after school, it was no surprise. She basically crawled to her changing room, only to take one too early and ending up in the room that was Lilith's.
Lilith played the queen in the Jungle Princess and was thus around in this particular sequel that played mostly in the palace instead of the princess being lost. Honey dragged herself closer to the adult that played her mother in this movie. "Lily" She said slow and she dragged herself forward and climbed on the seat next to her, leaning to her co-worker's shoulder. "Lily I am so tired." She rubbed her cheek against the fabric of Lilith's beautiful dress. "I can't stand on my legs anymore." She curled up her tail around her, and almost snoozed off, "I don't want to be an actress, idol and hero." She whined a little before almost snoozing off completely. Her head started to drop. She should not have said that her mother told her that she should not be telling the actor side of her life about her hero side and vice versa. But the tired little girl couldn't help but say it because she had no stop on herself today. She just got tired, she rubbed her cheek against Lilith's shoulder again. That was it.

As happy as Lilith was with acting, she could not deny that there were its downsides. She was often tired after work was done. Not to mention the times she spent on set. Lilith was shocked upon seeing the time on her phone. Seriously, 1 AM? Dad is gonna freak out when he hears about this. Because what kind of loving and caring father and talent agent wouldn't? Lilith just wanted to sit down, relax, and doze off for at least a couple of hours. A shame she could not actually do that.
Still, Lilith could not complain too much. She absolutely loved the part she was playing in the Jungle Princess, and was absolutely thrilled when she was chosen to play the queen. It was fun playing the 'sassy bitch queen' as one of the actors had put it. Plus, the dress was absolutely gorgeous! Lilith wished she could take the outfit home with her. A shame, but maybe she could have a replica made for her. That would be sweet!
Lilith would not be alone in her thoughts for too long, however. The door suddenly opened. Lilith was initially annoyed, not really wanting to be bothered right this minute. Hello? Do you not know how to knock? But her expression quickly softened when she saw just who it was. "Honey?" After hearing the poor girl speak, Lilith immediately sighed as she gave Honey a sympathetic pat on the head. "Ugh, me too. My legs are killing me! But you poor thing!" Lilith got up from the sole chair and moved aside to let Honey sit on it if she wanted to. But of course, Honey seemed to just want to snooze away. Poor girl. I don't blame her.
Before doing so, however, Honey said something rather interesting. She doesn't want to be an actress, idol, and... hero? Wait, what? Lilith was intrigued. Does this mean that Honey actually goes to UA or something? That was very impressive it that were the case.
But before Lilith could ask about it, the poor girl was already out. In truth, Lilith looked like she was close to passing out as well. But for now, she just smiled at the sleeping girl. Enjoy your nap, kiddo. You deserve it.
She then sighed. Hell, I deserve it too. I almost want to go sleep as well. Sounds very nice right about now.

Honey who normally was so active and entertainingly quick now simply leaned against Lilith as she almost snoozed off. Hm, this was the most comfortable thing she could realize and thus she simply let her be. Honey had a little smile on her face, her eyes closed and snuggling close to the person playing her mother. Sometimes she wished Lilith was her real mother, now that was absolutely impossible of course, in a movie they could make you young and they could make young people play immortal elder people, so it was just something like that. But Lilith never pushed her away right? Never would scold her for her activity and her hard work would be praised. While she was thinking about it, snoozing off a little again, which was impossible because well they would have to shoot one more scene. Her green huge eyes dropped open, "Oh right, ehm, about that, hehe." She had said that she was a hero and now that she thought about it, that was a mistake. She wasn't sure what to say or do and that was clearly written on her face, "Lily, I am not allowed to say I go to ehm the hero school, would you mind keeping it a secret? My mother is afraid they wouldn't take me for auditions anymore because they think I am too busy." Ha, how else would she be able to explain it?
She fumbled with her tail as she pulled it over her hip to her lap, she wanted to talk about it, she wanted someone to listen how tiring her life was and if she was doing the right thing as she wanted to remain both an actress and try to work on that support course in hero school, it was just very difficult to combine it and even try to work hard. It would be easier if the next year happened, considering that made it easier for her as she would not have to have tutoring anymore. She would be up to the start of the classes what would make it easier, she might miss a class or two but that meant she could easier catch up with a tutor and hopefully the help of Orlov-sensei. What to do more was the next question but first, she had a lot of preparing to do and that was hard work and that was why she was so tired now as well, her energy was simply gone, which said a lot for the hyperactive squirrel.

give me time and give me space The more Lilith looked at Honey, the more bad she felt for the poor girl. It was not right to work the poor girl this late at night. What were the idiots thinking? But at least it was only one more scene. Hopefully it would pass by quickly so the poor girl got to go home and rest. Lilith sighed, thinking about just how tired the poor child must be.
Is this what being a mom would feel like? Worrying about someone like this? Huh, well I don't imagine intentionally wanting kids anytime soon, but I wouldn't mind adopting someday, maybe. Lilith then sighed. God, I must be really tired if this is where my thoughts are going.
But it seemed like Honey, despite looking very tired, was not ready to collapse just yet. It seemed as though her mentioning of the word 'hero' was a slip up after all, and she wanted that fact to be kept a secret. Lilith smiled and nodded. "Don't worry, I'm not one to tattle. Your secret is safe with me, I promise." Plus, with how tired Lilith felt, it was not unreasonable to assume that it was very likely that she would forget about it in the morning anyway.
"Though on the subject, I wouldn't mind if you wanted to talk about what it's like. Only if you want to though. I don't wanna pressure you. And only if you're allowed to of course, because I don't want any trouble for you." She was curious about what being in a hero school was like. Perhaps if a place like UA had existed while she was still a teen, perhaps she would have wanted to attend. She could not imagine just how different her life would be if she were an actual heroine instead of just playing one on TV. Though who says that she couldn't do both if she could be a hero?
Man, I'm so tired...

Tired, it was pulling on her and making her say weird things. But she was a squirrel and may be any form of danger even to her human thing would make her sit up straight and worry. She had no idea but as soon as the word was out, she knew she had to be more awake and focus. She had to make sure that Lilith would keep it a secret. She was curled up on her lap but she had to look up and with her big green eyes ask her colleague not to talk about it in any sense and to no one. Her mother would grill her (instead of killing her), her father would be disappointed and she would maybe lose her acting job, which she did not want. The good thing was that at least the idol career she was following did understand but it was a hard life and hard work and a lot of training while doing this in the weekend. She yawned and stretched her hands above her head and went to sit up straight so she could look at Lilith now that her mother in the movie was asking her a question.
She thought about it, surely she could answer. "I don't think anyone would hear us, so it's fine. It's nice to talk about it for a bit." That made it sound like she wanted to talk about herself, but it might help her with her concern. "I don't know much about the hero class, I am in support class, I want to be like a rescue person, someone to calm down people because I am a squirrel, I am small, I am soft and all that. I thought about maybe learning first aid but because I joined late in the year and with this in the weekends mostly and now this evening, it took a lot of time." And singing class and tutors and everything, she couldn't wait for the second year to begin rather soon as it would save herself from the tutoring at least.
She yawned again, but right on time put her hand in front of her little mouth. "I thought maybe I could combine it though, being a hero and being an idol. We soon have this sports event and I am a little scared in joining, my mother doesn't like it. We have to fight and so on, and she is like: but I put you in the support class." She imitated her mother's voice and put her hands on her hips while remaining seated before she quickly undid that. "I try to convince my dad that it's a great idea to do so though."

give me time and give me space With how tired Lilith was feeling and how much she wanted to just collapse and sleep, it was a miracle she could keep herself awake long enough to actually pay attention to anything. But pay attention she certainly did. While Lilith usually did not mind just straight up ignoring some people, Honey was not one of them. The girl was fine. She did not bore Lilith, so the lady would do her best to listen. Plus, ignoring a child was just rude, and while Lilith did have her moments, now was not one of them.
What Lilith did listen to was rather interesting. Honey was apparently not in the hero course, but rather in support. Specifically, she wanted to become a rescue hero, one who wanted to use the properties of her squirrel quirk to help calm others. Lilith smiled. The thought of someone being comforted in such a way was honestly adorable. "Oh, that's very sweet of you. Pretty awesome, too. I know you'll be great as a rescue hero!"
But that was not all. The girl wanted to learn first-aid as well. Lilith smiled. She herself wanted to learn more about first-aid. It was why she took medical classes back in university. If I someday do become a hero, I definitely want to become a healer. As fun as it would be to kick ass and take names, someone's gotta take care of the injured. But now was not the time to think of that. "Very good idea, Honey. First-aid is really important, and it could really come in handy, even if patching up people isn't your main focus."
The poor squirrel girl yawned again. It was clear she needed to get some rest. A shame she could not exactly sleep right this moment. Lilith was very close to just saying 'Screw it, take a well-deserved nap, and to hell with anyone who tries to bitch about it'. So unfair. "Multitasking, eh? Sounds hard, but I believe in you. If you really want to live both lives, I say go for it. Don't let anyone stop you from doing what you want to do."
Lilith's eyes widened upon hearing Honey mention the sports festival. Oh? Right, I forgot that was a thing UA does. She had heard mentions of it. Last year, the future heroes did a bunch of stuff on TV showcasing their talents and stuff. The lady had unfortunately missed out on watching it live, as she was horribly busy at that time. But with a much more free and flexible schedule, Lilith could actually tune in and see the event as it happened if she wanted to.
Understandably, Honey's mother was not a fan of her daughter taking part in such an event, and Lilith could easily understand why. A bunch of quirked teens being forced to fight each other, some probably going all out, there were definitely possible injuries to worry about. She could not help but giggle a bit hearing that impression Honey gave of her mother. That definitely sounds like something a concerned mother would say. "Honestly? I think you could do an awesome job if you wanted to. If you really want to go kick some a-" Whoops, she almost said ass there. How strict was this girl's parents? Best to play it safe so she doesn't get blamed for something dumb like 'teaching a child foul language' or whatever bullshit. "er, butt, I'll be happy to cheer you on. You got this!"
If Honey's skills as a UA student were comparable to her acting, then Lilith had no reason to be worried for the squirrel girl. She would do just fine. Lilith had faith in her.

Soon they would have to work again, finish the last scenes. She hoped they would be able to do that in one go because that meant the faster they were done. She had no idea where her mother was at this moment and she should have probably left a note in her room that she was with Lilith. "Thank you so much!" She beamed happily but sleepy at Lilith when the inspiring actress told her she could do it. She still was a little scared that it would be too much, to do everything that she was doing, acting classes, school tutor moments, school in general and singing classes as well as dancing classes. She was tired of all of it, that showed probably now too as the normal sugar rushed child was now yawning the whole time. She kept nodding though because Lilith sort of seemed to feed her ideas. Yes, she should take first aid classes, she should ask Nakahara-sensei about it, or maybe Angie? She would think about it tomorrow, she thought about it. I can already tell you though, that the next day, Honey was still tired and in her active mind to catch up with being boring, she forgot to do so. "Don't you think it's dangerous? I am always afraid that I can't hide who I am and people might find me easily." She sort of asked and mentioned at the same time. Even if she would take a hero outfit and hero name, she would still be a squirrel that would not be easily missed.
It helped that most people thought at the beginning of Animal Rescue Team that it was just aesthetics but they might now have learned differently from the Jungle Princess.
She sat up straight and grinned at Lilith as she obviously knew what she was going to say. "Yea I will and it will be so cool if you would come to cheer me on!" She said enthusiastically and hugged Lilith again. She never noticed that she pushed people away or might be considered difficult for others, Honey find Lilith an inspiration and maybe that's what she showed to her and why she was accepted. She would really convince her mother. She wanted to do this, work with her quirk and become better and thus prove that. Oh, maybe that's how she would manage! If she convinced her mother to use it as showing how much she had learned as a reward for the tutoring... yes that was an idea!

give me time and give me space Lilith smiled, holding back the urge to yawn loudly. "Just saying the truth is all." She believed in Honey, knew that the girl was capable of doing great things if she put her mind to it. She definitely showed the enthusiasm. Maybe it's the exhaustion and lack of sleep talking, but I think I might be a bit jealous. I never got the chance to go to a school like UA, but here she is living the dream. You go girl! Sleep sounded nice right about now, but Lilith needed to endure. Once the shoot was done, then she could get to go home and sleep the night away.
Of course, Lilith would do her best to stay awake for as long as she could. I almost wish I had some coffee right about now. If she needed to, Lilith would settle for slapping her own face. Not hard enough to leave any visible bruise of course, but good enough to snap herself awake. Fortunately, that was not necessary at the moment. But it was always an option.
Oh, right. Honey did bring up a good point there. "I mean it can be." Hmm, how to help her out? Lilith was usually reckless, so she did not have much advice she could give that counted as 'being careful'. "Well here's how I look at it. You can either get better at hiding yourself so that no one ever does discover your secret. Or you could just not care, let yourself shine brightly and let your family and friends keep you safe from anyone malicious who would try to find you. But either way, it's probably best to not worry about it. You do what you do best and what you find fun."
Lilith then shrugged. "Sorry, I'm not exactly the best role model here, and I honestly suck at giving advice, and that's not even counting the fact that I'm too tired to offer actual good advice. Plus, anything else I could advise might not sit well with your parents." She then grinned. "But if you want to know what I think, I say just go for it. Running away and hiding usually doesn't do much. I say grab adversity by the horns and charge forward. Shine brilliantly like a star and be who you want to be. Why hide who you are? Take pride in it!" Well at least Lilith tried. What Honey did with that advice was up to her. But whatever the case was, the girl was going to be just fine. Lilith had no doubt about it.
"Of course! I would be more than happy to cheer you on! I'll be there supporting you from the crowd! It's a promise!" Lilith did not care what appointments, meetings, or plans she had on that day. Those could all be postponed and moved to another day. Plus, she was intrigued by the idea of the Sports Festival, seeing all the future heroes show off all the shit they could do and everything they had learned at that school. Lilith's promise to Honey would be what sealed the deal for her to come watch.
Oh right, the paparazzi. Eh, fuck em, I'll just come disguised or something. Or hell, I could just show up as myself. I don't need to hide! What are they gonna do anyway? If anything, they would probably be too focused on the heroes and heroes-in-training. And if not? Their loss for missing out on seeing the next generation of badasses!
Despite being exhausted, despite looking like she was about to fall over any second, Lilith was glad she got to have her talk with Honey. It was always good to encourage others to chase after their dreams with enthusiasm. Plus, she had a reason to go watch the festival now.
Who knows. Maybe someday we'll both be heroes and work together to help others. Wouldn't that be nice?

The most fearful thing in the little squirrel her mind was that she was recognized and it would do something bad to her. Though some other heroes were easily recognized as well considering they were mutants like her, Serperior-sensei was an example of that and well not every hero did hide themselves with clothing so Red Horn was probably very well known too but those two heroes were both very strong and Honey was just... just Honey, a small squirrel. But considering she wanted to focus on rescue work and healing, thanks to Lilith's imput, it might be less dangerous? She looked up with big eyes at Lilith when she said it might be a bit dangerous. She pondered while listening to Lilith her advice, even going as far as holding her chin in her hand and nodding, yes, she would have to either hide her tail as she was doing her ears, probably depending on her hero outfit but things like that, she would focus, she could also try and shrug it off. She nodded, having fun and not worrying about it, it still would take quite a while before she would graduate from U.A. anyway, it was maybe by that time, time to worry about such questions. She nodded again, "That sounds like a great strategy! I already forgot what I was worrying about!" It was a lie but it was meant to be a joke so she hoped Lilith understood that and she chuckled a little herself. She wanted to be proud of doing this and she might be able to ask Serperior-sensei a lot more about it too and she grinned at Lilith with a proud little look on her small face, she was going to do this.
Honey jumped up to stretch as she almost fell asleep after her hug with Lilith, it was almost time to continue, she had thought so a little before, but they were still talking. She bounced a little to get her normal level of energy back and looked up when they were called, "Thank you again Lilith! I look forward showing you my school!" And to just go to the festival, it was probably something really impressive after all. This had gone fine and she made up her mind, she was going to try for as far as she could to combine these jobs and to work very hard to reach the top, her own top that is, she did not care about ranking, she just want to work on both her dreams.
