On this day, Celestine Ainsworth was dressed in a sleek business attire with her hair straightened and a dash of makeup added on that was both high class and properly suitable for the kind of meeting that she was bound for. Celestine had been in need of a job. Not as a matter of income per se, but more in the instance that she needed a cover to protect where her real money flow would be coming from. Once she had properly settled into the swing of things in the foreign land that was now serving as her home, that is. After all, living a luxurious lifestyle was something that others tended to query about if only out of jealousy. Thus, it only made sense that she find a high paying job that could serve as an adequate cover. And with her own natural talent in the field of engineering, this would play hand-in-hand in aiding her on the matter. Regardless of all that though, she still needed to nail the interview that she had managed to land with the rising ASTA Corporation. A company that had made itself quickly known for how it addressed the rising of Heroes and Villains despite its rather short life as a corporate entity. Add on how it was founded by the mysterious Sonya Chernova, a survivor of the Shinagawa Incident and it made for a rather interesting opportunity on the part of Celestine due to her current needs. Arriving at the front of their office building Headquarters, the blonde foreigner's first sight was the company's symbol emblazoned proudly. Once she had gone inside, it was much the same as the corporate logo was plastered upon a good number of places upon the opulent lobby that matched the company's reputation for being a high luxury business. Yes, this company no doubt had funds to spare and so long as she obtained a good position, it'd serve as a truly wonderful cover for her actual business needs that she could ill afford to be so open about in the light of day. Approaching the front desk and the receptionist that sat there, Celestine smiled in a friendly fashion. "Hello, I am Celestine Ainsworth. I have a meeting today about employment with ASTA." Her greeting was short, but well mannered as she spoke the native tongue. It had been relatively easy to learn how to speak the language, or at least the more common variant that was used in the modern day. The formal variant had required a bit more work, however.

Whether it was coincidence or fate, no one would ever be able to discern; but on that day Celestine Ainsworth stepped into the lobby of the ASTA corporate headquarters, Sonya was arriving a little late to work. She had stayed the evening with a particular lady representative in the government body and had found herself a tad hung over in the morning. It was nothing to complain about per-se and she could have come into work, yet she had enjoyed the pleasant company just a bit too much. So that was why she stepped out of her company car, bidding the driver with a wink and a smile, before stepping onto the main concourse leading into the building.
The concourse itself was a garden and green yard decorated with benches and a few stone statues giving an air of elegance and relief against the urban sprawl that surrounded those who entered. The path itself was a straight line, emphasizing efficiency, though a few side paths lead off in either direction to allow for one to step away from work and breathe. The doors themselves were transparent glass tempered with a reinforced polymer her company has been experimenting with for helmet visors. Sonya herself used the selfsame material (albeit tinted) in her sunglasses. The glass doors opened for her with a low tone, recognizing the tag on her employee ID card.
She was stopped as soon as she entered, though, when a few employees walked over to greet her. She spoke with them for a few moments jovially, asking how their projects are going and listening to them gush. Creative freedom was great for morale. Sonya's lips curled into a smile while his employees demonstrated just how enthusiastic they were until she spotted a flash of blonde over one shoulder in particular. She held up a hand and pushed through, looking for the blonde hair again, that color... she though to herself looking left and right until she spotted it again, hanging down to the shoulders of a woman at the reception desk.
Sonya pushed through the small crowd and approached, laser focused. Something... beautiful lingered in the lobby of her fair company and she very much wanted to know who it was. She considered for a moment simply introducing herself but instead decided to listen in to the conversation taking place. ...an interviewee? That would probably be the juristiction of the director of whatever department she was applying for. Well, no, not this time. Sonya's smile curled again and she strode over to the counter, giving the receptionist a warning look to silence her in case she greeted Sonya. Instead; she cleared her throat, adjusting her high collar and drawing a strand of hair away from her glowing pink eyes; "Celestine Ainsworth? Great to meet you, why don't you come with me and we'll get started on your interview, mm?"
Sonya asked, nodding toward one of the elevators across the hall. One of them opened and closed, a few people piling in while others flooded out, exhausted from night shifts.

The receptionist blinked as she looked up at the new arrival, smiling a moment before starting to respond. Until a rather pointed look came her way, unbeknownst to the blonde haired woman that had recently arrived. Instead, the receptionist quickly went back to her work, much to Celestine's brief confusion before the sounds of someone clearing their throat reached her ears. At first she figured it must have been some suit taking advantage of the situation, but as she turned about, her expectations were quickly snuffed out. A graceful voice broke the silence and brought with it the visage of a familiar woman. Yes, Celestine had seen this woman before and vice-versa for that matter. But comparatively, only one of the pair had seen the other's face in that violent den of bloodshed. And yet, even if Celestine had not seen (most of) the silver-haired woman's face, those eyes were all too recognizable. So entrancing and hard to forget, not to mention how unique they were. There was only one other person she had seen with eyes like those and that was the woman who called herself, "Ishtar". So it would seem she was not the only one who recognized how useful ASTA was for covering her hide. The fact that Ishtar both there and now was quite easy upon the eyes was simply a bonus in the matter. Nonetheless, she smiled quite beautifully towards the new arrival. "I am. It's a pleasure to meet you as well." She then nodded in assent at the rather rhetorical question. "I'd greatly appreciate it, thank you so much. If you don't mind my asking, who do I have to thank for the generous offer?" A name was a powerful tool, one that could offer much in a variety of different ways. Now, what was Ishtar's?

The moment the woman turned around, that very instant, the game changed on so many ways. Sonya's lip curled just a little bit as she looked the woman up and down before extending a hand, shaking Celestine's hand. She made her way to the elevator, crossing her arms behind her back. The elevator doors opened on their own just as she came within range; a green light glowing just above the control panel to the right. She gave Celestine a sidelong look before finally answering her proffered question; "Sonya Chernova, I own the building," She said dryly, stepping into the elevator.
She did not say another word, standing in the elevator and waiting expectantly for Celestine to join her. After a few heartbeats the two were standing next to one another, the doors sliding shut, and Sonya looked up at the ceiling, her glowing eyes reflecting off the metallic surface above. She was quiet for a time, letting silence drag out between the two of them. She let herself relax; her eyes shut, her smile smug, even while the elevator continued to go up and up and up. She shifted on her feet now and then but said nothing more, even in response to Celestine's words. It was only when a tone broke the silence did she gesture toward the hall that stretched out before them with the opening of the doors.
"After you, dearie," She said, her eyes opening a crack.
They were at the very top of the building, the office and penthouse of the CEO. Sonya's eyes spun now and then as she stared, the light levels in the penthouse were a bit inconsistent this time of day. She followed the young woman out with her hands crossed behind her back. Watching her every move. | TAG WORDS NOTES

Sonya Chernova.Given the way people had reacted to her, Celestine had assumed her to be a high executive of some kind. That alone would have been enough to file away for potential use further down the line. But for that shining eyed, glowing goddess named villainess to actually be the actual CEO behind ASTA? Oh, this was delicious. This was the kind of knowledge that could get her so very far in her potential employment and well beyond. It wasn't every day that you came across such juicy information. And on someone so very important these days in the growing society of Heroes and Villains. Celestine continued to give her a winning smile as they crossed the lobby towards the elevators, kindly accepting the invitation with a brief thank you. Once the two were inside the elevator, Celestine began to consider how to use what she now knew about Sonya. So many options, so many potential outcomes. Some of them not-so-good for that matter. However, Celestine didn't want to make an enemy here. No, she was considering another route, the path of acquiring an ally for her darker endeavors that required a more subtle touch. And then the elevator came to a halt and on the topmost floor as well. "Ah, thank you." Celestine took the hint, walking ahead of Sonya. Feeling the other woman's eyes upon her, she couldn't help but add a slight sway to her walk, giving Sonya a bit of a show for those glistening eyes to enjoy. "I must say, I really wasn't expecting my interview today to be with the CEO herself." The golden-haired foreigner turned her head, glancing back at the silver-haired woman. "I feel quite blessed for this opportunity. Perhaps fortune is smiling on me today~." A bit of levity filled her words, though Sonya wouldn't be any the wiser about the whole story. Just yet, anyways.
