A week before christmas
And all through the city
The streets were lit up
But one saw no pity
The children without homes
Crammed in their dark alleyway
Saw nothing but darkness
No Merry. No play.
But one man, nay a boy
An agent of chaos, if you will
He saw this, and formed a plan
To let them all have their fill
Christmas to him
wasn't the lights or the presents
It certainly wasn't the fat cats
at home eating Pheasants
A tradition it may be
But chaos he did see in it
As for now, with the rhyming
he says we best quit it...
=== December 20th ===
"Wow this is...a tall order." Niso held his usual, distant smile as he all but gazed through the armory before him. A dark and drab part of Tokyo's underground suddenly feeling like a candy store as bright lights lit walls of gadgets and gizmos behind the man before him, a tinkerer of illegal nature who made the greatest gear for the goons and goonettes of the criminal world. With an electrified fence standing between him and the man he did business with, he simply remained chipper as he made preperations for his plan. "But can you fill it?" "Mate...you're asking for magnet-rays... suction cups? A... Silent chainsaw?" "Yes for cutting next to a house, without bothering the mouse.~" "...riiiight..." He tapped his pen down along the list, considering each item and how it could be made. Some things he had on hand like the magnet ray which eas meant to help remove bolts from secure safes and the like, but the specifics this odd boy was giving him... "And you need this all by the night of christmas eve." "So long as I can be sure it all works before midnight, that's all good." The two shared a look, one unsure and concerned, as if realizing he was potentially dealing with an actual madman, one distant as ever, convinced this would work out. "Well...I might have some issues with the silent Chainsaw but...if you're sure you can pay I think we got a deal. Come back christmas eve. We'll make sure it all works how you want it. How you payin' for all this anyway?" "Oh!~" Niso chimed with a wide Grin, vacant as ever despite the clear glee in his motions. "My boss recently got taken to Jail, and her second in command dissapeared too, so her whole business fell into my hands. I basically just sold all her computers for this. But she's got a computer in her stomache so she'll be fine.~" "...riiiiiiiiiiiight." And so the tinkerer did work
All through the night
The silence of his chainsaw
Would cause an odd fright
But Niso wasn't done
He still had work to do
If he was going to steal christmas
he needed to think it through
For every great villain
Pulls off their heist in style
and who better to dress as
Than a man with termites... in his smile.
=== December 23rd ===
"Well with christmas around the corner we'd like to remind our viewers that we'll be taking a small break during the morning hours of christmas day." A low budget news show catering to the more casual viewers looking for more local news stories gave out the warning it had been issuing for the past few days before moving on with the days big news story. "We'd also like to remind viewers that if you're looking to share a little christmas cheer, this may not be the season for it. What can only be described as a fit of 'Santa de-robings' has been running through the streets of Tokyo. Santas busking for charity or heading to their office parties have been found in their undergarments en-masse, bruised and beaten, typically with wounds to the head. A consistant threme is the assault, de-robing, and attempts to knock them unconscious." He turned to the other camera. "We'll soon be interviewing one of the victims, who's only memory of the criminal at large is him saying 'dammit, still not the right size.' What could he have meant? Find out after the break." The chaos child's rampage
Ran through every street
Dress like st nick
And with his bat you would meet
Tall men, fat men
Skinny men alike
He'd steal all their costumes
which would all tell him PSYCHE!
The fit couldn't be found
it seemed like a tall task
until he saw a man
Sipping from a flask
A homeless man he was not
for charity he served time
A rich man who's acts
Where more despiccable than rhyme
And so with his bat
niso did deliver a THWACK
and now, with a costume that fit
he just needed his sack...
=== December 24th - 11pm ===
"Perfect...~" With arrangements made with an old aquiantance he'd made back before Shinagawa turned to hell, Niso took one last look at himself using a mirror in a clothes store window, adjusting the white fluff of his slim fitting santa outfit. A nice crimson red, with a bauble topped cap, now lets end all the rhyming, we're starting to sound like a sap. He pulled up his sleigh with it's motorized tracks, the vehicle following behind him almost like it was weightless. All his toys were on loan, it was all he could afford afterall, but with them he'd make sure he made a christmas that would not soon be forgot. He arrived at the meeting space and looked hither and thither, waiting for Parasyte to make herself known. She'd told the girl to hide given her rather...'fluid' nature of being. Until he gave her a little helper costume it was perhaps best she remain hiding. With the tools he'd purchased they'd both be of use tonight, and before morning came he hoped to give Tokyo a reason to remember this christmas...for better or for worse, he didn't care. All that he cared for was his chaos tree baring fruit.

Christmas lights do more Than glitter and glow
Christmas was strange.
Not because she didn't like it! She loved the lights and loved the sights and there wasn't a child in the world who didn't like receiving presents. And yet there was something about it that felt strange whenever he celebrated it, and she was getting to an age where she could feel it, too. Something she didn't know and he wouldn't tell her. She didn't like those things, but...well, it wasn't like she had much of a say in the matter.
But she could put those thoughts aside. When the strange boy known as Pinocchio put out a call for aid with a rather strange target, Byeol-Su had at first been concerned. She liked the lights on the streets. She loved to see them from her window, like dozens of stars against white snow and black buildings. She was too curious for her own good, though, and had asked his permission to go along with the plan. After being reassured that she was unlikely to be hurt he'd agreed, but only if she wore something fitting.
"Fitting" so happened to be a weird plastic mask with a green face on it that she didn't recognize. When she asked what it was he just shook his head and said he would explain when she came back, if "the boy doesn't tell you first". Whatever that meant. With his permission and the weird plastic face tied around her head she made her way through the very quiet streets.
Everything was so soft right now. The sounds, the lights, the air, the ground beneath her feet...it was nice. She loved winter so much. It was the best.
She reached the street Niso had specified and slid into an alleyway, walking between buildings and around them, waiting to see a familiar face in the snow. It was entirely possible that he wouldn't have a familiar face, though, which was a little bit annoying. It wasn't until she spotted something so odd and so colorful that even she couldn't keep away from it that she came out of hiding, looking over the sleigh with wide, delighted eyes. Oh woooow...
Byeol-Su looked to the front of the sleigh and, despite his hair being quite a bit different from last she'd seen, she lifted the plastic mask from her face and beamed. "What is this? What is this?? It is so cool, Pinnocio!!"

Niso was, currently, looking as he usually did. Messy black hair leaking out of the white fluff of his santa hat and a scrawny, slightly sleep deprived and malnourished face peeking out of the rest of the costume, his dim grey and blue eyes seeming a little more vibrant with the light of the moon rather than the daytime sun leaking in between the buildings. In tow his sleigh of many toys and gadgets. Quite literally, there was a smaller sack of tools they’d be using, and a bunch of pre-stolen toys in a much larger sack in the back of the sleigh. Should Parasyte have a root inside, they’d all specifically be ‘practical’ toys. Things people could play with without batteries or access to electricity and the like, a few blankets, coats and clothes, and other wintery goods.
Upon spotting Parasyte, their small stature making it clear who she was behind the mask, Niso’s already gleeful expression lit up further as she’d already come dressed somewhat for the part. “Oh wow! You need me to explain what the Grinch is and you come dressed as him!~” He’d step over and slip the mask off the top of her head as she pulled it back, holding it over his own face and peering at her through the eyeholes. “This my dear friend is the Grinch himself, you’ve very much dressed the part I must say!~” Without people specifically trying to beat and potentially kill him, Niso was a lot more well spoken then when they last met, and with more playfulness to his energy rather than sadistic glee. He’d lay the mask back on her head as she looked over the sleigh and his gadgets galore, for on this Christmas who could want more!~
…Yumi knew she was over doing it with the rhymes but she really couldn’t stop.
“As for this, these are all some fun little tools for the job that should help us with what we have to do today! The sleigh will follow us automatically as we go down the street, and these are going to help us take down the lights!~” He spread open the red sack he’d rested in the sleigh’s passanger seat, pulling out a bunch of gadgets he’d very hastily colored in shades of red and green, none of the paintwork was perfect, colors splashing into one another, some mixing a little, but ultimately it seemed to have the desired effect. “A magnet gun for ripping out the nails holding up the lights. Automatic ladders that will slide along the walls. A-“ He pulled out a chainsaw that shimmered with an odd blue glow, tugging hard on the chord as the chainsaw seemed to buzz, but gave out only the faintest hum as it rumbled in Niso’s hands. “SILENT CHAINSAW!~ There’s a tree down the road we’re gonna steal at the end!~”
He’d pull out a 4 foot candy cane, clearly metal from the faint hum it made as he swiped it through the air, holding it out to his side as he rested his thumb on a button. “And of course, for the stuff we can’t reach with the ladder…” He’d press the button, and the candy cane rapidly began to expand towards the sky, seeming to hold the same weight as Niso had little trouble keeping it in place as it reached up towards the sky, before collapsing slowly back down as Niso released the button. “A 39 and a half foot pole! I ordered a forty foot one but it was a rushed job and the guy had to curve the last half foot to make it a candy cane.~” He’d run his hand over the curved tip with a smirk before dropping it back in the sack, pulling himself up into the sleigh, and shifting the gadget sack into the back with the toys as he pat down the now empty seat.
“Thanks by the way. I never thought a kid like you woulda been let out this late with that weird handler of yours, but, as I promised! I picked a road that’s gonna be exceptionally quiet, so we shouldn’t have anything to worry about!~” Niso had planned this more than any heist in the past, because unlike his past jobs, where he just cared for the chaos of it all, this time… the results mattered.

Christmas lights do more Than glitter and glow
She would, of course, look inside if she wasn't stopped. She wasn't sure what she was going to find. Toys were cool, though all of them felt a little young for her, and she was a little confused by the blankets and coats. Who would want those for Christmas? Wasn't it just for toys? Byeol-Su stepped back from the bag with a tilted head, about to question the contents of the sack, when her mask was snatched up and she turned to look up at Niso with a small pout. "Hey! That--!" She stopped short. Eh? So it was a Grinch mask? He'd given her a mask of the thing Niso had talked about? "Ehhhh? Was just given that mask by Iseul! I do not know what it was!!"
Now, a funny thing happened as she spoke that name aloud. To her ears, she still heard his name loud and clear, but Niso would hear nothing of the sort. Rather he'd hear a sound not fit to come from a human throat. A harsh static, loud but brief, in the space of his name and then gone again.
Byeol-Su flinched, though, and covered her mouth all the same. Oops. She didn't mean to use his name. She'd gotten so good at calling him her "friend" when out with others to avoid it. But...slip-ups happened.
With mask back on and a little less confused and more intrigued, Byeol-Su watched Niso demonstrate all the strange goodies he'd amassed to preform the task before them. Nothing was too unusual, though she'd never seen any of it for herself. The chainsaw was kinda neat. She'd never been allowed to use a chainsaw. "Can I try to use it when we do it? Or take turn? Friend would not let me use it, but...is not like I would touch the saw." She huffed in the defensive, irate manner of all children being told not to do the cool thing the adults were doing. "Even if I did, would grow hand back."
The pole made her snicker and crane her neck to see just how far it went. Why specifically that height? Was it a reference to something? Or was it just how long it could go before it broke? Weird. This whole thing was so weird, but at the same time it was kinda fun! No, it was very fun!
"Oh, am not alone! Am always watched, but..." she glanced down the street towards the very end. Nothing could be seen, as far as people, cars, or any other signs of life. But even without seeing or hearing them, she knew. "...it is okay, friend has been letting me out more with less watching, Would only come out if I am in danger now. Like, um...if I did that thing again to you. Which I would not. Also. Since you are here now..." Byeol-Su fidgeted her hands together in small, nervous gestures. "...I am sorry for hurting you. Even if I pay for it, it made Painter mad and was very rough to you. Sorry."

Niso nearly dropped the mask he was holding to his face when the girl let out an inhuman sound as they were trying to come out with what he could assume was meant to be a name by context. She didn’t seem deterred by the sound she’d just made, leaving Niso to look at her curiously, wondering if she was convinced that odd sound was indeed the name of whoever they were referring to, or if something had happened with her voice and she was trying to convince him it was normal by just going with the flow. “Er…sorry who was that again? Didn’t quite catch you the first time…”
He’d still give the mask back all the same, the way she’d made that sound definitely adding to the natural intrigue about her and her general… goeey-ness. With her excited request to use the chainsaw Niso could only giggle, admiring her boldness in asking, and in any other case he’d have given her instant approval, but whoever that man was who’d scooped her up the last time they met wouldn’t seem like he’d be too happy if this girl came back with less arms than normal… though she did say she could grow them back.
“Ooooh… we’ll see.~ I did promise you wouldn’t get a scratch on you. I’m not sure yet if that counts the self inflicted scratches.~”
The concept she was always being watched didn’t set his nerves at ease much about the idea of letting her lose herself an arm, but glancing up and down the alleyway he didn’t seem too nervous himself as his eyes didn’t seem to catch much. Even if she was being watched he wasn’t too cautious about it. Afterall even if he didn’t wanna get in trouble tonight… he’d learned through experience he could survive most troubles the world threw his way. “wellll… I dunno about this friend of yours watching us but…” He offered a wide grin. “Don’t go fretting about that. If anything I still think it was really cool! You should try pulling that off sometime on someone who can’t survive it! You’ll REALLY fuck them up!~” He’d grin wildly, pulling out the magnet gun from his sack and starting to head out of the alleyway, tossing the extendable cane to the girl behind him and boldly venturing into the empty street, his hair growing out, escaping his santa cap and growing bright green as he walked.
“Now, as for tonight, I think I’ll take lead with the gun for a while and start ripping the bolts out of the walls keeping these things up. You just start hooking them down with the cane once they come loose enough! Sound good?~” He’d take a small jog ahead in the snow, boldly calling back to the girl, convinced no one would be using this empty street till the morning and seeming free to be as loud as he pleased, given the only buildings left around were office buildings and the like, and not stores that would have people stocking up for tomorrow, and even then, most stores would be closed tomorrow. “Don’t worry about Painter by the way! Even when she gets mad she calms down eventually if I treat her right!~”
Skidding side on along a big patch of snow, Niso raised his spinning gun up towards a string of lights along the upper walls of one of the office buildings, the bolts wiggling in place for a moment before rocketing towards Niso, most of them slamming hard into the metal dish of the magnet gun, but a yeep of pain coming out as one shot through his shoulder like a bullet, Niso whimpering as he held his shoulder, but managing to chuckle it off. “Well! Least it’s already red!”

Christmas lights do more Than glitter and glow
"My friend. My friend gave it to me. That is what I said," Byeol-Su gave a small frown. She had been doing so well at not using his name in public. She could use his other name, too, but that felt so formal and weird to say when they weren't working. She liked being able to call him a "friend", too. If she said it enough times then even he had to admit it was true. Right?
Being denied the use of the chainsaw only made her frown deepen. Aww! But she would have been careful! She didn't care if he had promised not to let her get hurt, that just meant she would have to try not to! And even if she did...bah, he wouldn't listen anyway, would he. It would still be Niso's fault to him, and that would be bad. "Fiiiiiiiiiiiiiiine," she whined, dragging her feet behind her "guardian". She adjusted the mask to sit atop her head so she could see better, even if it completely nullified the purpose for having said mask in the first place. What? She had to see, and those eye holes were too tiny and too wide apart for her face. Niso's encouragement about her attack was, admittedly, kinda nice to hear. She giggled and fiddled with the pole she'd been given. "That is the plan someday. It is hard, though. I feel the pain my host feels, so if I kill them too fast and am still inside..."
She trailed off, eyes on Niso's suddenly green hair. She wished she could do things like that! She could make her "clothes" different colors. Why had she never tried that with her hair or skin? Maybe she could do it too in time.
But she couldn't change her face like Niso could. Her skin would always look the same, so would it matter if she could make her hair green like that?
Maybe when she was older and wanted to look "cool". Yeah!
She swung the pole around a little as she waited for Niso to pick a string of lights for them to start with, and for him to claim Painter wasn't something to be worried about. For some reason, Byeol-Su doubted it. "If you say so. Are you two in love, like Lavender and Crow? Will you get married too?"
The sight of the nail going through his shoulder only made her flinch slightly, and she extended a hand toward him on reflex...then drew back. No, he could heal himself anyway. He didn't need her help. But. She was always ready to heal somebody in pain these days. Hahah. What a weird reflex for a so-called "villain" to have. "Are you okay? Oh. Hang on." She pressed the button and let the pole rise up, wrapping the curved hook around them before spinning it to wrap the lights up. And by spinning "it", she actually ran in little circled until the pole was properly wrapped with loose lighting.

“Nooooooooooooo.” He answered readily enough, not about to be the type to go along with her act. Briefly he held himself back and rested a hand over his throat, clearing it out for a moment and shifting his vocal chords as best he could before speaking again. “You said it was-“ And then came out a gargled, wretched sound, like he was trying to imitate the static sound she’d created, but rather than coming out like something mechanical, it was like gears made of bone and flesh grinding into one another, more fleshy and gooey in sound but the message was hopefully getting across. He’d quirk his brow to see if she could explain that, but hey, he had a job to do here, he wasn’t gonna waste time on this if she continued to play dumb either way.
He did feel an odd sense of guilt in that he couldn’t reliably let her play with the chainsaw but she seemed fine enough with it, and besides he had every intent to let her use it, just… under some tight supervision. “Okay when we get to the tree if You don’t mind me holding onto it with you you can have a go, but with that gooey form of yours I’d worry the vibrations would make you get all jiggly or something, but we’ll see eh?~” He gave a cheeky wink, as if he was doing her a big favour in letting her use the dangerous device in any manner.
As she talked about her chest burster trick, he was in so much pain himself he hadn’t really realized what it had done to her, but feeling someone die was hardly gonna be pleasant even if you didn’t entirely die yourself… heck- “Oh yeah. Feeling what it’d like to die is neeever a good time. Trust me I talk from experience.” He commented cheekily. “Still though, you should work on it. It’ll really be devastating once you master how to pull it off.~”
With the question to his painter, Niso would look ahead and think. “Er. Marriage is never something that was on the cards for me. Dunno who Lavander is, but I’m devoted to my painter’s joy whatever the case. Besides, I keep telling everyone, I just serve her. If she wants to call me her boyfriend I’ll happily call her my girlfriend, but I’m really just there to make her happy! She can do as she desires beyond me!~” And she very regularly does at that. “So I’m not about to tie her down with a concept I don’t believe in. Sorry to get all ‘anti-norm’ on you about it though.~”
Back on the snowy street with a nail hole in his shoulder, Niso gripped it for a moment while the bone tried to re-form itself and the flesh around it sealed off, his muscle fibres running over the damage in the meantime to act like an internal bandaid, making sure he could keep moving. “Yeah Yeah I’m good. Trust me, you’ve seen what I can go through…” With a soft sigh through his nose at his own accident, he’d start running the magnet gun along the street, every now and then turning the gun off to unload the nails it had collected, narrowing avoiding another misfire or two as he did, and watching Parasyte help along the way as she used the cane to collect the strings of lights.
“Ya know I should team up with you more often. You’re a nice set of hands!~” Reacing the middle of the street where one of the giant stars of woven branches and lights wrapped around them, Niso grabbed one of the extendable ladders off the sled and planted it firmly in the ground, watching it unfold all the way up to the arch holding the star in place. “You wanna get up here and get the star down for me? It looks a bit heavy but if you just drop it the sleigh will catch it.~” He gave her a reassuring smile before patting the first rung on the ladder, more than ready to hold it in place for her. When she got up there all it’d probably take is twisting a few knobs to get it to drop.

Christmas lights do more Than glitter and glow
Byeol-Su's frown grew deeper, her "skin" crawling at the awful grinding sound that Niso made to replicate his Quirk's own. That was...something. His body was a mess of things, wasn't it. Didn't that hurt him, too, to do? She would never be able to do something like that to her body for a "joke". "I can not say it," she said bluntly, voice muttered a little by her still present frown, "Completely can not. Even if I tried to spell it I could not. So I call that person 'friend', or it will hurt your ears and my throat. Get it?"
It had been barely over a year since she came here, she was getting tired of explaining his Quirk to people. It was different in person, though, than in the chat room. Much different.
She nodded to him without doubting a word. If anyone else would know the feeling of death without actually dying it would be somebody like her and Niso--their Quirks seemed designed exactly for such a traumatic experience in the end. She, however, had gone out of her way to avoid such a thing. Whether he did or not she wasn't sure. "If I can learn to numb myself then maybe. But in the mean time it is not like I can practice freely. I do not kill people at random. It is messy and leave evi...evident? Evidence. And only person who might survive that and give me feed-back would be you, so." Byeol-Su snickered very softly, "If you want to make money maybe come to us and we will make use of you. Sure we could think of something fun."
With less incidents now that Niso had the hang of the gun they went along the way, her still wrapping lights up by spinning herself as she walked in time to the sounds of the reverse-nail-gun going off. When the pole started to look more like a bushel of cotton candy than a candy cane she pressed the button and it retracted to her, and she'd push the lights into the sleigh.
"Thank you! It is fun doing things on my own. Usually am in a host," she gave a glance up towards the star he was looking at the ladder as he pulled it out, "So do not get to stretch my legs very much." Byeol-Su tilted her head. Climb up and unscrew the bolts? Did she need something for it? "Do I need a wrench? Screw diver? Wait, driver. Oh! Hang on! Can I try to do something new?" Byeol-Su giggled and looked up at the star on the archway. She lifted her hands so they were extended in its direction, then...
It felt strange pushing all of her "self" into her arms. Like her chest and legs suddenly felt super thin, and even her head felt smaller. All the same she focused as much of "her" into the length of her arms and they stretched out higher and higher until her little hands--still the same size, comparatively--gripped onto the sides of the star. She squealed and giggled in delight. "It worked! I did it!" She'd never tried to reach so far before like this! She felt like one stiff breeze could knock her over right now but it was still so cool! With a little more focus her nails sharpened into little needle-like blades and pressed into the thin space between the knobs holding the star in place and the rest of the arch. A couple wiggles of each and they'd pop out like corks from a bottle until, its weight of it making the metal arch creeeeeeeak, the star dropped from the sky. She withdrew her arms as it landed in the sleigh.
"Never tried to go so long before!" Byeol-Su continued to giggle as her "self" began to redistribute to the rest of her. Her head returned to normal size and her legs thickened as well. "Did you see that? Did you see it??"

“…Huh.” Well that was an answer, and Parasyte, like him, didn’t seem the type to lie. Or at the very least, they seemed like they could never tell a convincing lie. Niso just looked at her briefly, wondering what could force someone to find it incapable of saying a name and Niso immediately wondered if they could start thinking of loopholes but that would be for another time. The most he’d ask is –“Is this because of your friend’s quirk or…?” But other than that they were showing only a smidge of curiosity, not about to ruin his plans for the night by lingering on such an enticing little curiosity.
“Oh I wouldn’t risk numbing yourself. I always avoid that.” He admitted outright. “Technically I could potentially do it. Just tell my cells to stop responding to pain but on the off chance I could never turn it back on that’s a scary road to go down. Now honestly, I don’t like pain, but I know it’s important.” He’d smile wide, glad to demonstrate a small bit of his knowledge on the human body. “Pain tells us when we harm ourselves, accidental or not. If you made yourself numb, you might do some actual damage to yourself and not even notice.~” He’d lift a finger as he finished his point. “Pain is a terrible, terrible sensation, but it plays an important role.~”
At the offer to make money, he’d lift his head with a wide grin. “Oh sure! I’m pretty broke after tonight anyway! I’d love to!~”
Always in a host huh? Niso thought on that for a moment. As someone who promoted freedom and chaos he had to ask. “Do you… have much say in what someone your inside does? Must get pretty horrible being forced to just watch as someone else acts in your place if not…” He wouldn’t judge, but the girl was dragging out what little worry and empathy the boy had in his system. She seemed to be kept on a fairly tight leash, couldn’t say their friend’s name, had to be subjected to the whims of a host (he assumed)… hardly sounded like an interesting life. From the inside at least.
“As far as the bolts go they should be chunky enough to-“ And then she said she’d try something… well okay. He was curious enough. Resting his hands in the pocket of his santa costume he’d hold a wide grin and adjust his hat to get a good look.
Realizing what she was doing he quickly folded up the ladder again and tossed it in the sled, rushing under the star before it crashed into the ground and held out his arms. His muscle fibres wrapped around each of his joints beneath her skin as he wrapped his hands swiftly around some of the branches that made up the star as it fell on him. He wasn’t strong, but by forcing himself to lock up the pain of it’s weight radiated through him, leaving him to whimper as he managed to keep his stance.
“Yaaaaaay for you…. G-get this thing… i-in the sleigh for me… I-I think my knee is pinching on a thick chunk of muscle..!”

"Yes," was all she could really say about the matter. If she tried to go into any more detail, no doubt her words would be cut or turn into static again. Maybe if he decided to introduce himself properly he could explain himself. But she had a feeling he wouldn't like Niso--not because of his Quirk, or because of what had happened on the docks, but because of his behavior. Iseul liked things in boxes and rows. Niso felt like the sort to break boxes.
But his Quirk did sound like the sort of thing they would be interested in.
Byeol-Su picked at her "skin" just a little, a little irritated at this boy. He sure did act smart for somebody who'd been selling their body (for violence) for chump change. Pain was not a good thing no matter what he said. Pain was bad. Pain made her weaker, instead of stronger. If she wasn't afraid of pain then she could do all sorts of things, because she wouldn't be scared of hurting herself in the process. "Is not like I am really hurt when I do that. It just feels like it hurt. My body was fine after I cut you open--if I could take the pain better, and I was trying to kill you, I could have done it better..."
She looked up at Niso at his next question, brow furrowed and head tilted to the side. "I do not. I can not control my host in any way. You were the first time I ever tried to hurt a host, too. It is okay though." Her smile returned, but it was strange on her face; too wide, too empty, not reaching her eyes. "I am a parasite. With no friend to host me and fix me, I would die like--"
Her words caught in her throat, not through any supernatural means, but just in a moment of dread. Were those words blocked off, too? She didn't know, because she'd never said them aloud to anyone who wasn't him.
What if they weren't?
Oops, it looked like her plan had worked, but been a little overzealous. With a small yelp Byeol-Su scurried to push the big sled up to Niso so he could tip the big star inside it. "Sorry! It looked so much lighter than it was...!"

Focusing back on the present a little Niso didn’t really know how he felt about the nature of parasyte’s quirk. The way she could be a trusted, if potentially risky helper to anyone in a fight showed promise and a sense of designed empathy in the nature of her quirk… but the way she lost her will to that of the host she was aiding in a sense seemed like some sort of cruel joke. To an extent, as much as he believed in chaos, Niso tended to feel there was a sort of… simple order to people’s quirks. His greatest fear was dying and so he had a quirk that, while not inherently something that would prevent this, was something he warped and molded to, in his eyes, make him functionally unkillable… at the very least he’d yet to meet anyone he thought could even come close outside of a rare few.
But her quirk… it forced her to aid others, and even then she displayed it’d take a lot of trust for someone to allow her to use it too given what she could do to them. The idea of living life as a passanger, seeing the world through eyes you can’t control… Niso briefly felt sick at the concept. What sort of cruel joke of a quirk was that…?
He didn’t voice his concerns however, as she cut herself off, and he knew enough about biting your tongue from talking around Luzia to know when someone had hit something they shouldn’t reveal… or perhaps just a sour note. Before they retrieved the star, Niso would have stepped closer and just squeezed her shoulder gently, hoping to offer the closest thing to a reassuring smile his malnourished features could offer.
Back to the star itself, Niso wobbled as best her could closer to the sled till he managed to teeter himself so the star dropped. It was less heavy but it’s sheer size made it difficult to handle and easily could have smashed apart if it hit the ground thanks to it’s flimsy make. Mostly it was just the distance it had to fall that made Niso whimper when It had landed into him. His muscles still locked tight around his limbs, as the star got in the sled, he fell to his side, chuckling a little though as he glanced towards the slimey parasite he worked with. “I need to work with you more often.” He chimed, despite the fact she’d arguably just made a mistake.
Kicking back up to his feet, he picked up the cane and twirled it in his hand as he gestured down the road. “Let’s keep going ay!~”
===================================================
A short time down the road and with a chunky amount of the lights gathered, Niso and Parasyte would come up against the tree, it wasn’t overly huge but more than could fit in the average house with a chunk trunk that had been bolted down, but cut far enough up and… well. Better yell timber.
“Soooo… mind grabbing me the chainsaw?~”

Byeol-Su kept her gaze caught on Niso for a moment, unsure what the look he was giving her was. It made her insides feel funny. Which...didn't make sense because she wasn't sure she had "insides" to feel funny in the first place. All the same it felt bad. Twisted up and tense before he approached and she drew in a short, tense breath. The feeling dispersed when he put his hand on her shoulder and smiled at her--if one could call it a smile.
...you look so sad. Why though? What did I say? I don't know...
I want to ask, but...it's like when he goes quiet...what if I make it worse?
She let the matter drop. Drop like a surprisingly heavy--or at least clunky--star from a metal archway. Byeol-Su let out an exaggerated sigh of relief that Niso hadn't been really hurt by that. It had just been a test, to see if she could be as nimble with her claws at a distance. She wouldn't have wanted him to get hurt over it. Instead, though, he laughing, and said--
Byeol-Su broke into a beaming grin.
"Yes?? Is that a good thing??" She bounced--metaphorically--alongside the sleigh. That Niso said he wanted to work with her, not with "them" more made her so happy for some reason. She was so used to people only seeing him, forgetting she was there or not even knowing she was to start. Hearing a person want her around for her made her absolutely giddy. She felt just as delighted as they continued on. Lights were not, alas, as pretty wrapped up like cotton-candy on a stick when they were unplugged, but she had fun spinning them around until they came undone. Everything was still so quiet and pretty even as the street grew duller and duller. Come to think of it where did he say they were taking these lights and the tree to, again?
She peered around the side of the sleigh and nodded, jumping up so she could wriggled herself into the sacks in search of the aforementioned saw. Even though she wanted to use it herself, she still remembered his words on weapons--finger away from the trigger, hands away from the barrel, or in this case the blade--and was very careful as she pulled it out and waddled up to Niso's side. But she did take pause to look up at the tree. It was so big! Had they been to a tree this big before? They didn't even have on in the hotel, but that was kind of to be expected...it was a bit sticky, and, uh...
"Here you go!" She held it out to Niso, handle-first, keeping her fingers away from the blade and the buttons as best she could. So far, so good! And maybe if she showed how super-duper careful she was being, he'd give her a chance to use it herself! Maybe? The puppy-dog eyes she was giving him as she passed it off were also a means to get what she wanted.

“What, you think I wanna call on just aaaaanyone to work again?~” He teased at her asking if that was a good thing. In fact from Niso he felt it was a high compliment. Not only was the chaos agent usually the kind to find it difficult to get along with others long term, but if he wanted to keep you around that not only meant you were tolerable, but interesting and fascinating enough for him to not feel like he’d get bored of you. Of course he knew not to say that out loud but it was still his thought process on why he considered it praise. “Besides, maybe we can work on the whole you being inside me thing. I bet together I’d be even more unkillable than before!~” He chimed with a pump of his arm, giddy at the idea of that, even if it would be short lived.
He did… pause, however, as he realized the idea of healing more had briefly over-written his qualms with her quirk, his mood shifting a little more cautiously as he softened his expression to her. “I mean… assuming that’s what you’d WANT to do. I can’t force you to do anything.” He added in an oddly soft tone for the chaos agent.
With his lovely assistant working on retrieving his chainsaw for him, Niso, rather than showing the same caution she did, hooked two fingers into one of the devices handles and spun it about in a circle, tossing it up in the air and catching it, before giving it an almost dramatic rip of the chord and starting the thing’s mini engine to life, a wild grin on his face even as the satisfying rumble of the chainsaw emitted barely a sound for them. He was about to start over to the tree when he caught her puppy dog eyes… really he had no idea how dangerous her ‘friend’ might be if she got hurt but… gosh darn it.
“Ooookay. C’mere.” He lowered the chainsaw to one hand beside him, the silent blades still spinning and taking her other hand if she was okay with it, guiding her over to the tree. There was a small fence around it but nothing he couldn’t step over, and he’d even lift her over with him, hooking an arm briefly around her waist to do so. Once they got to the trunk of the tree, he’d line it up and make sure she had a good handle on it, stepping behind her and holding her arms to keep her… gooey self steady.
“Okay, just make sure you keep a tight grip. Don’t worry about it falling the sleigh’s apparently designed to catch it.~”

"Do not mind if you hosted me again! It would be fun. Your body was really painful last time, I did not get to really feel it." Byeol-Su missed, this time, the look Niso gave her and tone of voice he took. Why wouldn't she be okay with being hosted? So long as his body was in one piece instead of, uh, post-Rogue-rampage, it would be fine. And she was curious to see how his gift and hers interacted. If he could feel his whole body so acutely, could he feel her inside him? Could he move her around? That would be so odd.
But kind of cool, too! What did two healing abilities on top of each other look like, anyway? Would they try to heal each other too much, or...eh, food for later thoughts. He probably wouldn't want her to be hosted by Niso again without supervision, anyway. Which was lame. She'd would be fine.
Speaking of "things he didn't approve of" it looked like Niso would let her use the chainsaw after all! Even if it was with his hands holding hers and him being very, very careful with letting her hit the buttons and moving the blade, she was still grinning like a proper mad lad as he guided her over. The vibrations of the saw, silent or not, made her whole body quiver like a jello mold. She squeaked and giggled horribly the whole while. "Eeek!"
The process seemed to be going without a hitch. She wasn't about to go and try to grab the saw blade. The worst that could happen was she jiggled so much she lost the trigger button--which did, admittedly, happen a couple of times before the trunk was cut cleanly through. When it finally made an awful cracking sound she yelped and tried to step back, taking her finger off the trigger immediately. The tree wobbled, unstable, back and forth, and...
"Oh-oh-oh-what is it that you say?!" She spoke very quickly, then, remembering what she was trying to think of, squealed: "Timbeeeeer!!"

As he tried to share the hold on the chainsaw as best he could niso could feel the gooey body of the girl beneath her shaking and wobbling all the while and giggling along with her as she partook in this element of chaos with him, and as the blade started to chug it’s way through the tree Niso would be sure to keep a careful eye on it’s progress himself, ready to make her release the trigger when needed so the thing didn’t end up getting away from her and severing the two of them in half… he wasn’t entirely sure if he himself could survive that if it happened, but he DEFINITELY didn’t wanna risk finding out if she could. She was too fun to let die at this point.
With her giddy little squeal of timber, Niso carefully took the chainsaw (off) in one hand and rested an arm across her chest with the other as she pulled her back. His eyes would flick to the sled, which had been circling the tree. The moment the tree began to rock it rapidly skidded to the side it was falling, lining up with it’s fall to catch it as it landed. Niso was laughing at… all of this. His companion, the fact they pulled it off, how ludicrous it all was… just…! God this had been a good night and he still had plans to make it better!
With a the sound of well over a dozen branches snapping on the tree as it landed, nothing they could do really able to stop such a chunk of damage being suffered, Niso cheerful jumped into the little space remaining at the front of the sled, standing in the driver’s seat and offering his hand out to his slimy partner in crime. “Come Max!~” He chimed, raising the fist of his other hand to the air. “For tonight, we steal Christmas from the wealthy! And we give it to the poor!~”
He’d very briefly lean his head down to whisper. “Don’t worry I know your name’s not max I’m just doing a bit.~”
The moment Parasyte was comfortably aboard, Niso notably doing her seatbelt for her but not wearing one himself, he’d start driving the track equipped sleigh down the streets, cackling a little wildly to himself that he was even pulling this off!~ God this was a good Christmas!
