The disposable phone snapped shut with a loud click. She turned it over between her fingers a few times, thinking, considering, and then let a faint pale light begin to build at the edges of the device. A black rot spread over it, a chill clinging in the air. The plastic popped and crackled under the pressure of her quirk until finally the device crumbled into a heap of blackened worthlessness. Sonya glanced at the ice cold hunk in her hand and tossed it into the garbage. "Tell security to let him in," The CEO of ASTA Corp said flatly to the woman at her right. She inclined her head and stepped out of the room.
Sonya had temporarily relocated to the branch office in Kabukicho. Maekawa had been kind enough to join her there as additional security; it wouldn't do to be undermanned when one met with one of the top ten villains in the country. She didn't want to insult her guest, after all. Even so, she'd made sure to make getting to her office as simple as possible for the now-administrator of the encrypted channel. She crossed her legs and leaned back in her chair; the office wasn't as impressive as the headquarters office in Tokyo but it did well enough. The wall to her right was devoid of windows, only artificial light beat on her skin, yes, it would do just fine.
The news had come with her recent acquisition of a contract with the government to produce Quirk related hardware and clothing. They were updating the anti-quirk security features in the prison, one block in particular. Where the Number Three villain was currently on lock up. The security around her was limited while the rest of the prison also went through various renovations. With the the aftermath of the Shinigawa incident playing out and other dominos falling into place; now was the time. If she managed to free Lady Lavande it could mean a powerful potential ally. Especially in her own aspiration to overcome that fool Thundershock.
Her network was growing. She'd heard through the grapevine who would be most interested in seeing Lady Lavande out of prison. One person. That would be the bait to bring in the resources needed to accomplish her greater goal. Narcissa would be on her way a little later and Sonya would brief her on her part. Axel, that devil, would already know what to do by now. He spent all his time in her computers anyway. She sniffed, Axel probably knew more about her plan than poor Crowley or Narcissa ever would. She waved a dismissive hand at the thought, it didn't matter.
All that mattered was success.
So when the figure arrived at the ASTA Corporation branch office loading dock, eerily empty except for a single man in a suit with an unsettling smile. The scorpion-quirked hit man would guide Crowley up to the private elevator and leave him in the hall that lead up to Sonya's office. It would be just the two of them. Sonya drew her long, silver hair back and set her artificial eyes to refocus for the perfect view of the newcomer. She placed her hands in her lap and took a deep breath, drawing her rebreather mask from the drawer and clasping it over her mouth. It was a little pointless given that they were meeting in her corporate offices; but right now, she was Ishtar. Not Sonya Chernova.
Her breath rattled through the filter and her pink eyes glowed bright when the door hissed open; "...Crowley," She said, welcoming the fellow villain into the sparsely decorated, minimalist room. | TAG WORDS NOTES

Okay, so most people who had either kept an eye on Villain Chat or were watching the news the day Alaster had killed those people to send his message knew (or could at least be reasonably sure) that the man did not take the news of his beloved Meiko getting arrested very well. He was furious. Not as much now, but time did not do much to simmer down his anger. So when this Ishtar person on chat told Alaster that the two needed to talk, and that there was news regarding Meiko, Alaster would immediately head out to the location provided without question. There was no way this could be a trap or a lie. Alaster had one simple reason why this had to be the real deal and not just an ambush of some kind. Nobody in their right mind would willingly piss off an already very pissed off psychopath who was known to make victims suffer horrifically before the brutal slaughter. But on the off chance that someone dared to try to screw him over, well it was their funeral.
But assuming that this news of Meiko was legitimate, how did this Ishtar person get this information? Alaster had so many questions, and so many ways to gut a person if the answers he got proved to be less than satisfactory. But he had a feeling that this would not be a waste of his time. So after packing some essential things, Alaster had two of his goons drive him to the location. They were instructed to stay in the car and drive around the neighborhood, not to come for him unless he either called for them or they did not hear from him in fifteen minutes.
Getting out the car, Alaster approached the area. He was dressed in a casual black business suit, wearing glasses, colored contact lenses, and a long black wig to hide his white hair. Sure, the public did not know how Crowley actually looked like behind his crow mask. But it was best to make sure it stayed that way. Why take any chances? The last thing he wanted was to attract unnecessary attention to himself.
Alaster followed who he assumed was some fodder grunt to wherever Ishtar was. He casually glanced around, looking at his environment. Not because he was impressed. On the contrary, he couldn't care less where this meeting took place. But it was standard practice to watch out for traps. One could never be too careful, and those who disagreed with such notions were typically the ones who quickly ended up six feet under. Finally, he was let inside the room, and he saw Ishtar. Upon entering and hearing her say his name, Alaster nodded. "Ishtar."
There was no need for any formalities, anything besides what he was here for. He was here, curious to what the lady had to tell him. "So, what's the news regarding my Meiko?" Hopefully, she was doing well. Hopefully she could be pulled out from her imprisonment soon. Hopefully she would soon be back in his arms. |

Ishtar could have remained sitting; that would have been the power move. If she had wanted to style herself as a leader in the Villain world; she would have. But the Villain who named herself after the goddess of war and love had other designs. No, she got to her feet and stepped out from around the table. She wore her villain uniform a white high collar top of a sleek design with a black collar. Her rebreather was situated over her mouth and her hair fell in rivulets around her. Her skin glittered like a thousand stars when she put her hand on the corner of her desk, still continuing her trip round toward him. "I'm glad to see that your head is in the right place; thank you for coming. I'll be brief," Ishtar said, reaching out and offering her hand. Whether Crowley shook it or not was his business. She would continue either way. "This information was not easy to come by; The Prison is under Renovations. Most of the facility is undergoing some manner of upgrade which has lead to a thinned security presence. The Shinagawa incident has exacerbated the situation. More importantly though; Block D is undergoing a full upgrade and renovation. There is a window of opportunity here to break your beloved out," Ishtar explained quickly, tapping the console on the corner of her desk. A small screen in the wall flickered to life showing the prison and the various sections. "My company has been tasked with providing some of the materials for the improvements. I am also arranging to twist the knife on the inside as well," Ishtar added; "I can give you some personnel, access to my best hacker, weapons, but it is up to you to stir up enough chaos to let her slip free," Isthar said. "One of the primary distractions will be a colleague of ours, I've asked her to join us because your way in to the facility is through her help," Ishtar finished; "She's taking a great risk here, I thought it appropriate that you meet her face to face at least, mm?" Ishtar tapped the console on her desk again to send a signal to Narcissa. She finished her clilpped, businesslike address with a curt look in her eyes and relaxed against her desk, watching the man carefully. She'd fill him in on the rest after his initial reaction and when Narcissa arrived. | TAG WORDS NOTES

Brief, huh? Alaster was pleased to hear that. He did not want to waste any time. Now normally, Alaster was not one to shake anyone's hand, being the rude and uncaring person that he was. Plus, he distrusted almost everyone on principle. A mere handshake could prove to be a trap. But this time, Alaster would decide to briefly shake the lady's hand. He did appreciate whatever help she could provide him.
He listened to Ishtar's words, a small smile forming on his face, and the grin growing wider the more he listened. It was unfortunate yet expected to hear that the prison would be getting upgraded to accommodate the far more dangerous threats. It was honestly a surprise that it took this long. But at the same time, it was a relief to hear that the renovations would mean that there was a brief window in which the rescue could take place. Alaster was already determined. Nothing was going to stop him from freeing Meiko. Anyone who was foolish enough to try would become a crimson splatter on the ground.
So apparently, there would be another person coming here. A female, and she was apparently Alaster's ticket into the facility. "I see. Well then I suppose I must thank her when she arrives." Just as anyone who tried to stop Alaster's mission was a threat who deserved the full extent of his wrath, anyone who would offer him assistance with his mission (and proved to be both competent and useful) would receive nothing less than his full gratitude. |

She had gotten the message and maybe it had been good not to have hidden her identity any longer for Sonya. Maybe she could finally reach her goal today, do this and she would be so much better off than before and she could not wait. She was full of anticipation right now and she was so okay with it. She had dressed well for the occasion, putting her mask back on right before she arrived at the spot. She had no idea who more would be involved and she rather prefered to give herself the option to remove her mask than being forced already. She did not like and trust to show her face as yet, besides she had to be careful, who knew what spies there were more in the government. But she trusted Sonya to be smart enough and she was rather curious what this whole happening was about. Ah, she got invited, how exciting!
But she managed to pull her face in the right structure, even if you could not see it, she knew that enough people that were able to read eyes and could hear a smile in her voice, so she would avoid that. She stepped off her motorcycle as she arrived at the spot that Sonya had sent her and looked around, no one that she had not thought about before and she walked to the spot of the entrance to let herself be announced. "Daffodil." is all she said. When she was let in she noticed Sonya rather quickly but she did not recognize the other person and she looked from one to another, "Good day. I hope I am not too late." She came as fast as she could but without much detail, she had not been that much of a hurrying type but here she was... too late probably.

Ishtar was... gratified to see that he had enough composure to shake hands and listen. Eager as he might be to save his love; he waited this long, he could wait a little longer. Ishtar crossed her hands behind her back, taking him in. He was handsome in his own way; though she cared little for the male figure. He dressed elegantly, with class and poise. It wasn't too far to say that he had a sense of decorum about him despite his reputation for viciousness. She supposed he wasn't too different, though her own self awareness separated her from most other villains. She knew what she was capable of and that her cravings often left bodies in her wake. And yet...
The door slid open, blasting away her thoughts as the lovely Daffodil stepped inside. Dark skinned and wearing her usual mask, disguising her features. Ishtar's own rebreather glowed twice with the steadying breaths that came with taking in the woman's appearance. It was a shame there was no mutual attraction. Regardless, such frivolities would have to wait. She had a new friend to foster and a fellow villain to provide aid to. She stepped around Crowley and extended a hand to Daffodil, shaking her hand once before turning to gesture to the villain. She gave a curt smile before gesturing back to Daffodil after meeting his eyes.
"Crowley, allow me to introduce Daffodil. Daffodil, this is the rather famous individual known as Crowley. The man we will be helping," Ishtar said, stepping away from the two of them to allow a brief greeting. She didn't waste much time after that;
"As I explained to you, we will be getting you inside the prison. You will be incognito, disguised as an attendant to miss Daffodil's public persona. Between my own efforts and Daffodils we've arranged for a tour of the prison to allow her to observe the interior to study and bring back to her home country. I've also arranged for a few attendants to join her. Three. That's the best I could do," Ishtar clipped quickly, tapping a manicured nail on her desk.
"Once you are inside, you will have the window of opportunity to stage a mass breakout. I can send in whatever weapons you need and aid in shutting down any distress calls with the help of my hacker. Under the cover of the mass confusion, you will find Meiko. You will bring her to the north campus yard. From there you will be extracted. But it is up to you to use these tools I'm giving you, for obvious reasons I will not be present," Ishtar concluded nodding to Daffodil. "Is there anything you would like to add, dearie?"
She had high hopes for this operation, for more reasons than one. She didn't tell Crowley or Daffodil but there were other pieces moving around the prison to ensure that the maximum amount of chaos breaks out. Hero Society was about to suffer its greatest wake-up call since Semper Fi. She restrained a grin. And she was ready to give both sides everything they needed... | TAG WORDS NOTES

It did not take very long before the newcomer arrived. Alaster took one glance at Narcissa. So this is her, huh? With Ishtar confirming that this Daffodil lady was indeed the one who would be helping him out, Alaster nodded. "A pleasure." He would shake her hand if she offered a handshake, but he was not going out of his way to do it himself. There was no need for unnecessary formalities. He was here for business, not to waste time pretending to be polite. Plus, who even cared about manners?
Alaster listened to Ishtar's plan. Pretend to be Daffodil's attendant as the two went in under the guise of a tour. Not an issue, as Alaster was generally very good at disguising himself anyway. Then once inside, stage a mass breakout, then take advantage of the chaos to find his beloved Meiko, free her, and escape together. Alaster smiled. Simple, yet sounded effective. Though whether there would be unforeseen troubles with executing the plan remained to be seen. Either way, this was definitely something. And no matter how risky, how dangerous, and how difficult this was, it was Alaster's only shot at freeing his angel from her cage. And he was determined to take this shot no matter what.
"Excellent! I look forward to putting this lovely plan into motion. I do have some men of my own, if you would find them useful in any way." Alaster could easily imagine needing to call on his underlings to help fight off any cops or heroes who tried to get in the way. Hopefully they would not be needed. But still, better to have something one didn't need than to need something one didn't have. "Otherwise, just tell me what to do and when, and I'll take care of everything on my end."
Coming to Meiko's rescue. Freeing Meiko. Hugging Meiko. Getting her out safely. And slaughtering every single bastard in that prison who hurt her, spoke to her, or even looked at her. Alaster looked forward to it all. |

This was a business meeting, and even if she knew Ishtar she could not afford to miss her precautions. Hence the mask. Her pencil skirt, blouse and blazer made her look like a professional and the dark blue and white looked nice on her skin, she had to really adjust to get as much white in her wardrobe, it was a combination of her quirk but what a hell to get a stain out of it. The white skirt might not survive depending on what she all had to do. But for tonight it would, she brushed her long ponytail over her shoulder and would wait a little when she got inside, but said hello and apologized for her lateness.
She had done her homework and she knew the name Crowley from the top ten that she had seen and she looked shortly from her friend to the man she did not know. What could possibly be in her arsenal that would make her able to help this guy. "Likewise." She said as she offered to shake his hand, which well went fine and she would look shortly at Ishtar before she would sit down. She had no idea, seriously, what Ishtar was talking about, her pokerface needed practice as well but thank god the mask hid that all. She wasn't sure how villains played out, the Opera had been nice but she wasn't sure how that worked well enough. So she nodded, as if she knew very well what he was informed about, yes, tour at the prison. The prison? She froze they were going in and stage a breakout! Really, are they serious? Because if... oh god, what would she do if she was busted, play the innocent victim? Yes, that might work... or something like that. Right, thank god he shortly talked so she could compose herself and get an answer, because Sonya asked her and she thought about it, "I can get you in under my job in the government but I have to keep my own act, you can use me as a hostage or something but I will disappear and not fight too much, else I use the leverage I have with information from the government." It would maybe not be bad to bring more underlings if he had those, not within the prison but outside and she looked at Ishtar, "We have to be prepared that whomever shows up. Probably heroes and police, the guards there are probably not that idiotic." She looked at her nails as if she wasn't interested. It was pretending to be informed right, like Wang Ba had made her think about, she had not time to actually improve but it would come and she would point out her usefulness.

Ishtar was pleased to see the civility that was shared between the two of them. They did not need to like one another; only show one another the respect they deserved as villains. That said, her eyes lingered for just a few heartbeats on Narcissa. There was hesitation there, tension, she knew the girl was up to the task; she could feel that Narcissa would not fail her in this. But all that said, she also knew that Narcissa was not yet fully ready to take up the role of a Villain. But that was her problem, her choice, and her destiny to approach. Ishtar was many things, and she eagerly sought to convince others to become villains, but in the end; it was their choice to take that last step and embrace their new identity.
No. Unless asked, Ishtar would not help her.
Ishtar focused on Alaster first, a delighted look coming to her glowing eyes as she clasped her hands together in pleasure. "I'm pleased to hear that, more than you might imagine," She hazarded, tilting her head in his direction; "You needn't worry about bringing in your men to the facility. If anything I would have them standing by outside to receive you. I have employees who are up to the task at hand. Not to mention there are some favors I have yet to call in on. You'll have all you need and then some, I can guarantee that," She tilted her head again and shifted her gaze toward Narcissa. "It's up to you to make a name for yourself. Just do what needs to be done; nothing more, nothing less. Wasting effort will only hurt you in the end," She said let out a breath.
"I will be making the final arrangements. When they've been made I will send you the location of our initial rendezvous. You'll meet with Daffodil there; along with your security detail. I will be positioned nearby to direct any additional parts of the plan including your retrieval," She smiled at him and extended a hand; "Only a few more details need to be settled by myself. Be ready for us," She would shake his hand if he offered it. Otherwise she'd nod to both of them.
"Let us keep this meeting short. Excessive time in shared company speaking of such things is a danger we cannot afford just yet," She murmured, "We will speak more very soon..." | TAG WORDS NOTES

Alaster listened as Daffodil spoke. Ah okay then, so you're just my ticket in, but aren't actually getting your hands dirty. He could not care less on what she planned to do. As long as she was helping him with this plan to break Meiko out of her imprisonment, that was more than enough. "Understandable. Hopefully it won't need to come to that, but I'll keep it in mind." Alaster usually did not take hostages. Instead he just kept them around to give their would-be saviors false hope before extinguishing that hope by murdering the hostage before their eyes. But he knew how to fake it, so if Daffodil did end up having to pretend to be a hostage, then she would at least be fine.
Alaster nodded upon hearing Ishtar's words. Now some might assume that Alaster not needing to bring his men with him inside the facility would make things more difficult. But in reality, it would speed things up quite considerably, as Alaster would only need to look out for himself. Leaving them outside to fight off any police, guards, and heroes made more sense.
And with the last of Ishtar's words, it was clear that this meeting was drawing to a close. Shaking Ishtar's hand, Alaster lowered his head a few centimeters. It was barely noticeable, but this was the closest thing Alaster has ever done to a polite bow. With the way he was, this certainly was a rare treat. He hasn't done something like that to anyone in, well, ever. "I appreciate this, Ishtar. You have my gratitude. As do you, Daffodil. Take care."
And with that, unless there was anything else that needed to be done, Alaster would take his leave, call his goons to come pick him up, and then drive off. |

She gave him a wry smile, yes, "It's the only way that I think I can be of use." She did not want to lose her job and make matters worse, nope, she wanted to keep it that way and be the ticket in for how many times more they could be. She would get much more precious information if she would be able to keep her ambassador job so that was all her intention. She did not care what the others would think of her, this was her ticket, this was her way in as informant so she would keep it. She shortly looked at Sonya before turning her attention back to Crowley. Yepp, she really did not like him.
She nodded to Sonya's words and gave the man another nod before he disappeared. She looked shortly at Sonya once more, "Well in that case, I will see you later." Because it was better to split apart and separate their ways, they should not be seen in shady situations together but just as the ambassador and the CEO of Asta would be better. So she took the other exit not much later after Crowley to get back into traffic and disappear, only to reappear to continue the further arrangements she needed to do for this plan. For now, it only could go well.
