She stood in front of that building. How had Miku said that her now date-material was out of the world while she lived in a mansion? It was comparable to the size of her parents' house and she simply looked at it from the pavement. "Well are you going inside?" Her mother asked and she hushed her because she wasn't exactly sure what to do. Were they surely at the right house? She fished the phone out of her jacket and looked at it, yes... it was here. She had texted Miku a couple of days ago, finally daring to say slightly what happened a couple of days ago and still, her mind was swimming in circles to consider about it. She had again so much to tell Miku but actually avoided her after their last sleep-over. Well this time that couldn't happen, Miku's parents were home and well it would work differently and she was sure it would be a lot more secure thanks to that. Strangely she would never invite friends over if her parents were home and she was wondering very much about Miku hers.
She paced a little back and forth, maybe she should go away again. Cancel, anything it felt too weird to talk about it. Finally, Helena got out of the car, pushed her to the door and rang the bell and hurried back to the car. "Have fun darling." She said in English to Rowan and the girl pouted after her mother's betrayal. It was just a lot of things, would she pretend nothing happened? Had Miku forgotten? Was it mid-terms and everything that had made her not see the other girl? What was it? Were there no mistakes? Was she panicking because of the panicking? Probably, she didn't know.
She took a deep breath and with her pillow under one arm, cuz she was attached to it and a bag of snacks slung over her other shoulder, she was waiting. Moving from the ball of her feet to the back and so on. Nervous to the max. It would be fine. She noticed the door opened and wanted to say hi to Miku but it was a woman, a young woman, right, young parents. Got it. She gave a short bow and said good evening and asked for Miku. The woman took a step aside and yelled up the stairs that she was here. Literally "Rowan is here" and she blushed only more. She would wait in the foyer, not moving, not even putting the bags down or take her coat off. You would expect her to know what to do but nope, frozen.

"Rowan is here" was what Miku heard and it was all it it took for her to rush over to her friend "Im coming! Im coming!" Miku said as she rushed over to Rowan. As she ran, G noticed her as he eyed, making sure she didnt slip and fall. G was holding Kai and spending time with her brother.
She soon arrived to Rowan and happily and at the same time shyly greeted her
"Hi... erm.. come in" Miku said all shyly
She wasnt used to having friends come to her place, it was an experience. Sure she had Darren, but was Darren her friend? He was more of a bandmate, they didnt hang out together and Miku doesnt know him well. But Rowan was different, she was her friend, they had a sleepover, they talked about boys. Which was exactly what brought them here and why Rowan was here. Miku figured that Hana was the best as love advice, granted she knew she had to keep it to girl only talk and not let her dad overhear it. Miku felt they were still within G's earshot. For all she knew he could spy on them with his Quirk. Maybe... or maybe she was just paranoid

Rowan looked around in the foyer. Still baffled about the whole fact that Miku always came over as a humble normal student and look at this house. It was enormous, like her own. She also glanced at the woman who had opened the door, was that Miku's mama? Her hair was just as black and shiny as Rowan's own mother but obviously Helena was older. But that was another surprise. She heard her friend and looked up at the grand staircase in front of her. She should really shrug off her coat and she definitely missed Hanako saying so. She looked at the blonde and noticed someone else had come to the foyer or maybe he had been there before and Rowan basically stopped and stared to the little baby. She turned to Miku when she finally was there and nodded, she was already in but it was basically a Take your coat off dumbo and she went to put the bag with candy on the ground and shrugged off her coat and hang it on the hanger next to the door.
"You never said you had a baby brother." Considering he was wearing blue, Rowan made the assumption. As Hanako had made her way to stand next to G. Rowan walked to them and gave a short bow. "Thank you for letting me stay." She said politely and she wasn't sure if she should introduce herself and quickly went back to Miku. She never actually met parents, though she had met Umi. But Umi asked for her and god she had made the worst impression of herself. She felt herself turn pale when she thought about it and blush at the same time. "So ehm, what should we do?" She basically decided to ask Miku, she had clearly not forgotten that Miku had said something about not letting her dad know. So that's what she did, she pretended they had other things to do and maybe they could ask Miku's mom at another time. Considering she was eighteen, she should be allowed a boyfriend in her father's thoughts. So it would be safe but maybe he was against asking and giving advice when it came to that then. She wasn't sure where to begin and thus didn't suggest anything, oh right she took her bag and pillow from the ground and showed Miku the back. "I brought us candy." She said simply.

"I didnt? Huh, I thought I did. Oh well. Um... well I have a baby brother, his name is Kai" Miku said and introduced her brother to Rowan, who went on to make her way to her parents and gave them a short and polite bow. She thanked them for letting her stay. G looked at her and smiled, giving her a nod of approval and then he tended to little Kai.
Rowan made her way back to Miku and asked what wil they do now. Miku shrugged and said "I dunno. This is my first time having a friend visit my place. I dunno what to do... erm... wanna go to my room?" Miku asked Rowan, not really sure what to do. Maybe when they get away from G, she would be able to call Hana so she can give Rowan some romance advice involving Sean.
So they went to Miku's room which was upstairs, Rowan along the way said that she brought some candy, which made Miku smile "Awww, thats so sweet." Pun not intended, but she rolled with it. When they arrived to her room, Miku opened the door and entered it and showed it to Rowan It was a pretty simple room. Bed, closet, desk, drawings, like really embarassing childish drawings and many plushy toys. It was a room for a 10 year old rather then a 16 year old. Miku would be lying if she said that she wasnt feeling embarassed

Rowan shook her head, unless she was really losing her mind, they have spoken about boyfriends but not about babies or siblings but that was okay. She looked at the baby that Miku's father held and she got a lot of confused thoughts in her head. How did this family work and did her parents have youth quirks or so? She did not intend to ask, it might be insulting and she looked with a little smile at Kai, he was really cute though. Rowan thereafter walked to her parents to thank them for letting her stay before quickly following her way back to Miku. The question Rowan asked herself was why she was so awkward. She was surprised that this was the first time she had a friend over and she nodded, "Sure." She looked around and followed Miku upstairs. "Miku, your parents look really young?" She looked over her shoulder, of course, her mother could be because it wasn't really Miku's mom but she did not get it and she was not sure if she then really did forget things that her best friend told her. Maybe she had told her during the meeting with Lady, that made sense. In that case, it only did point out that she should get her memory back but it did not work that simple.
She tried to switch the conversation and said she brought candy and she simply followed and looked into the room that Miku had and she was actually surprised. It was simple, you could say empty as well. But her walls were covered in paintings and she had plush toys around. She actually liked it, considering her own at home looked so static, it wasn't fun and she wasn't sure if this wasn't simply updated for a while that Miku lived here because obviously she lived at U.A. now. "I thought you had a dorm?" But maybe she came home in the weekends, she did not want to bother her but she had so many questions because her life was so different and yet their houses were the same, their richness must be yet so different when you look at upbringing and she went to sit on the chair behind Miku's desk and hugged the pillow she had brought along. She just realized why she got here and it still confused her so much. What could she say and how to bring it up, it frustrated her so much.

As Miku went upstairs, Rowan commented how her parents look young. Miku nodded and nonchalantly told her "Yeah, Im adopted. My mom is well... gone. But my dad is... Ehhh... my real dad is a long story and not a good one at that. Anywho. My roooooom" Miku said when she arrived to her room and opened the door for Rowan.
Once they were in the room, she saw Rowan had candy. Oh wait, Rowan asked a question about the dorm. "Yeah I do. But Im here as punishment. My adopted dad found out I was with my dad dad. So Im here" Miku said and closed the door
"My dad dad. He's.. erm... you probably saw him on TV. He has his own life and I have mine. And for legal reasons, I cant really say who is he. You are free to guess and deduce if you want, but Im not allowed to say it" in other words, Miku lied the last part. There are no legal reasons. She just cant say she's a Kobayashi. What would they think? She went with a yakuza boss to get on his good side to backstab him. But before she backstabs him, she has to act sketchy to gain his trust. And as a Hero student, she cant be doing those things. She cant assoiciate with villains in any way.

Rowan looked over her shoulder when Miku spoke. Adopted, you could be adopted by such young parents? That was interesting, but she did not have any intention to push any further. Also, not everyone always knew they were adopted so that was another impressive status as well. She frowned, a long story and not a good one? That was something completely different than before and she quickly followed into the room. Now Rowan was a curious human being and she wanted to ask more but she got first distracted by the room. It looked rather cosy and she handed over the candy when she noticed Miku wanted to see. She had asked for the dorms because even if this was much better, she was curious why Miku was here unless that was normal procedure. Rowan should consider maybe going home for the holidays and so on. Now that the bond with her father was sort of restored but maybe he would work this Christmas and maybe she could convince her mother to go back to London on her own. She crossed her arms and looked at the floor, "Your dad minds you hang out with your birth father?" It more sounded like a jealousy story than anything else but Miku wasn't finished.
She dropped herself on the bed because this was a riddle and she did not like riddles. She had to push through as Miku's facial expression said she wanted to say but her body language said she didn't dare. Legal reasons, her nose. He has his own life and was on tv? Legal reasons... Ha that almost sound like a villain "for legal reasons you cannot see or speak bout him." But this person was on free foot else she would not be able to see him. Gossip in town said something about blondes and he had been on T.V. Nah that was too far a guess, haha, that was ridiculous her brain always seemed to think the worse. "Can I get another hint?" She wanted a hint that he wasn't a villain or anything but that would make sense why her dad would freak out, a hero hanging around with a-. She turned a bit pale as the dots kept on connecting. "You mean Thundershock?" Why the hell did she come up with that! It made no sense but it was everything that did make it worse that she thought about it, she should not even ask, it was stupid.

When Rowan said that her dad minds that she's with her birth father, Miku nodded. But she also continued to talk and vaguely explain. But then Rowan got it. Albeit a bit too quickly. Miku immediatelly shushed Rowan by placing her hand over Rowans mouth "SHHhhhhh"
Well, she asked for this the second she opened her mouth, Miku had to fess up. She just hopes she could trust Rowan with the secret...s. Yes plural. She has secrets and she needs to share just to get them off her chest
"Yes yes him" Miku from now on started to only whisper "Granted I take that guys words with a grain of salt." she sighed and had herself a double facepalm as she continue to speak or better yet whisper "What are the chances of a future hero being related to the number 1 villain, while at the same time being raised by the number 1 vigilante. Those two are literal cats and dogs. And god, this is a looong story. I dont even know where to start"
Where does she start? With how she's with G or how she got tangled up with Thunder? She was so confused and conflicted. But whats the point talking. The jig is up as soon as Hideki spilled the beans to G. God she was so mad. She thought she could be sneaky and get Thunder, but no she failed. On the bright side, it looks like she fooled Hideki into thinking she was going all Kobayashi. Maybe that means she fooled Thunder. Gah, if only she managed to relay some useful info to heroes or if only she wasnt a coward or a failiure

She hunched up a little with Miku quickly shushing her and Rowan wasn't entirely sure what it was about. Maybe it was just a bad thing and a scary thing, she just couldn't imagine that she could say something so softly because well what did you expect. She could not whisper the name and she was so unsure of what to do next. The whole thing was just so strange and she needed to sit down. She slid down to sit on the floor, what the hell, what would she say. It basically meant that Rowan simply stared with a surprised and maybe even fearful expression. She did not actually want to talk about it, and that made her sort of crunch her jaws on top of the other.
"Well that's good." She said it meaner than her intention but this did not work out well. She wasn't sure about the grain of salt, what things are told to her and what would it focus on and what kind of fantasy kingdom would that be. Could she even ask or should she leave it all alone? She only stared with bigger eyes at Miku and pointed at the door, "Your father is the number one vigilante?!" She said in a hushed whisper, really this was getting way way too much. "Oh get out, this is way too much. Why are you even hanging out with that bad man." She meant the first person, the first official father. She thought her father was a horrible man in the past but this was everything, "You better start talking now." She dropped herself on her back and stared at the ceiling and here she came with her issue. This was going over her head and she wanted it to stop that was basically her idea. She wanted to get rid of every problem and not think about anything, it made her pout and sad.

"What bad man? Both are bad one way or another" Miku whispered back. But when Rowan said that Miku should start talkin now, Miku decided to give a short version "Ok ok. So one time while I was still dating Akio. We were going to a restaurant place. And thats when we saw blondie himself, walking on the side walk towards us. It was believe it or not a year ago. December 6th. When we saw him, Akio and I both had different ideas. He decided to hide in a nearby store. I decided to confront him in a verbal manner, I thought I would confuse him and buy Akio time to call the police or the pros. I stood there and chatted with him just to buy time, but alas no one really came. So I improvised an idea. I figured Darkshine couldnt beat him and Semper Fi couldnt keep him. I thought trickery and deceit would be his downfall. A subtle approach to things. So I started to quote unquote 'hang out' with him. Thats when he found out somehow that we're related. A fact Im still iffy about. But all in all. My Vigi dad found out I was with him and grounded me by making me live here for a while. I mean its better then being expelled by UA thats for sure" Miku whispered to Rowan
A little after Rowan and Miku's secret whispering chat, G arrived with some snacks and refreshments on a tray "Hey there ladies. Sorry for interrupting your girl time. But I figured you needed more snacks" he said as he handed it over to them. Of course he didnt leave yet as he asked them if they needed anything "Do you two need anything else?" |

"You are now defending a man that attacked a hospital, that killed Elise her father, what kind of person are you." With pure horror she looked at Miku because she couldn't imagine what she just said. Vigilantes would fight for the greater good right? For the lesser evil idea but for now, it seemed to be more confusing than that. "You want to hang out with a villain?" She better start telling that story so Rowan glared at the ceiling not wanting to look at Miku. She still did not want to say any more words to Miku and sat up again to stare at the blonde. She wanted to say so much, patheticness, how everything was horrible that she just spilt it out and things she should better keep it a secret. But they were best friends so she should just accept it, all in all she stared at the idea of her best friend is the daughter of Thundershock and she wanted to go home.
"You just waltzed up to the big bad and you thought, eh have a fancy chat? What?" It made no sense, it made so little sense. "And now what? You are stuck here because your father found out before U.A. did, is that what you want? Do you want to be expelled? Do you want to be a villain? Do you have any idea how that feels?" She said it shrill, did she understand how it felt to not be even in the slightest amount of power and let her do the most destructive things and not remember! Did she even get the nearest idea of what to do, she fumbled with her hands, almost clawed at her own skin. Maybe she was going crazy and she should just let it go.
She stared intensely at G when he came in, afraid and not at the same time, yes she definitely prefered him over Thundershock and she watched the woman quickly follow him. "I brought candy myself, thank you mister Hajimari." Rowan said before the woman could hold on to him and speak, "Don't interupt the girls, that's rude, my love." The woman looked at the two of them and she stared shortly at Rowan who still looked shaken, she wasn't sure what to do. How to hide her fear and how to get over it and she wanted to cry, so mature of herself. God she hated it.

Miku froze when she heard Rowans words.. Its like a weight crashed down on her shoulders and crushed her entire being. It felt like she was aching and like she lost strength "Whaaa? No no no!!! Im not doing that" Miku stuttered out. And she spoke her story to Rowan how she wanted to spy on him and backstab him. Still, the way Rowan just shook her left her trembling. She was a nervous wreck.
When Rowan spoke up. Miku said "Yes. I thought that would confuse him and keep in him place for a long enough time until a hero arrives. But no one came. Sadly when I had to go, I found Akio knocked out. I picked him up and took him to safety. I tried to stop Thunder... and think outside the box, its not like I could've fought him. I was too weak, and students arent allowed to fight villains" Miku said. Then Rowans other question came. Or not really a question "......." her heart was just trembling and she wanted to be wiped off the face of the earth and just die in a ditch. Thats how horrible she felt. She felt like... like she had made a poor judgement. Rowan.... wasnt.... trustworthy.
Soon G came, oblivious to everything going on. But Hana followed him and told him not to interrupt the girls
"Okay okay" he then turned to the girls "If you need anything, feel free to holler" he then left with Hana
Miku didnt know what to say or do. Why was SHE a villain!??!?! She just said she wanted to be innovative and stop Thunder in a different way. What was wrong with that? God. No. Stop. Go away. Everything go away.
Miku thought she could share her worries and burdens with her friend. But now everything just got 100 times worse. She became a nervous wreck. And it was starting to get obvious she was hitting a breaking point

She did not know how she managed to talk before, how she politely told Mister Hajimari that she brought her own candy and that she looked them in the eye and smiled. She was shaking, but apparently not visible enough, she felt like she was choking. Haunted by nightmares that became reality, if she did not know Lady better she might even have assumed that it was her. In the eyes of her friend but she wasn't and she wasn't even sure if Rowan wanted to stay. "Than what are you doing?" She said obviously choking in her words now that she spoke again before she simply had remained quiet. "That was one time. Did you go to seek him out after? I don't get it. Do you know what it is to think you did villainous things? How they manipulate you? How they just make it so that you are not even sure if you did anything at all or anything wrong. Wasn't it you, who smacked me in my face when I told you about-about." She did not want to say his name, she did not come here to talk about the traitor she met in the library. The boy who understood her love for books and her homeland, or well what she always considered home because she was the odd one out. England is always where she felt where she belonged and now she finally adjusted to Japan, she finally felt accepted and this happened. She did not want to deal with this, whatever this was as she still did not grasp the point. "They are also not allowed to hang out with villains f-y-i. You did. You did hang out with him, you just said that before."
She was so hurt and afraid that she wanted to get up and leave, but her legs would not even know how to. She would not be able to get up, walk out of this room and she would definitely not be able to go down the stairs. Unless she did it in toddler style, just bumping your ass on that thing and go down one by one. "You don't know how it feels to be forced to live the nightmares to not remember what you did, to wonder every single day if you hurt someone or killed someone. To wonder why that stupid Bucket came after you and Nick and why you were found in a dumpster in the middle of Tokyo while you do not even go to Tokyo on a daily base, you would not understand the pain or the embarrassment to call Igarashi-sensei. You did it all in goodwill, you had the decision in your own hands. You don't have to be afraid that the creation you made is walking out there, with that villain, trying to potentially kill everyone that stood up against her and wears my face. You don't have to be afraid that you will be dragged of U.A. by your family or kicked out by the teachers because they do not understand. Your world is so perfect isn't it?" She couldn't stop and she was in a way crying. There were no tears, nothing on her face but it was the same expression and the shaking of her shoulders, and her arms wrapped around herself, no she was devastated that her best friend even considered trying such a thing.

Miku felt that her universe, multiverse, 20 parallel universe, you named it. Her world crumbled and shattered. She felt she could faint, but couldnt. She felt she needed to hyperventilate but couldnt. She felt she would cry, but couldnt. She felt she would break, but couldnt. She couldnt do anything because she needed to 'be strong'. What does that even mean? Well she needed to, not to put Rowan in a bad place with her own parents. What would Hana and G do if they saw Miku crying and Rowan there. Nonono. She didnt want to put Rowan in a bad place. ... Well in a worse place.
All Miku could do is plea for forgiveness
"Im sorry. Im so sorry. Ok? I was stupid! I thought I was doing the right thing and being creative by taking a different approach. Im sorry. Please dont hate me"
Those are the only words she could say. She had to stop as to not break into tears. She could only pray and hope that Rowan would be better or something. Miku felt..... What did she feel? .... well empty was more like it. She felt dead... she had no idea how Rowan would feel. Not anymore

Why did the world not understand? There was no such thing as a plain black and white, or a simple good and evil. The thing was that she had been there, in that grey area and she had hated it, there had nothing been done and she had worked so hard to save herself, but it wasn't done, it wasn't there and she was so scared that the woman was still out there and that one moment, the one moment Rowan would feel safe, she would get her and do whatever it is the puppeteer did. "I don't hate you." Rowan huffed when she listened to Miku's apology. She would not slap her friend in the face, maybe in that perspective, they were so different. Where she was harsh against Rowan, Rowan could not be harsh against her as she would feel like breaking a doll. She wasn't even sure if she could slap Miku without burning her, that's how bad the past had hurt her.
"And it's admiring as well, it's just really bad as in the scary way. What if something did happen to you, blackmailed, anything, he is-" But she stopped, she did not want to talk about it, "Not being able to talk about it or even remembering what I potentially did makes it worse, I don't want you to do the same. You need to talk Miku. How can anyone else advise you or help you if you want to catch someone like that? Leave it to the professionals for now if it's necessary we will get our chances, rather soon." Because it was scary close how fast the years were going. Soon they be third years and Rowan wasn't even sure if she was mentally ready for that, probably not. "I wish I was so brave, I would probably shake like a leaf." And she took a piece of candy out of the bag that she had brought along and popped it in her mouth. It did not taste well but maybe it was just the nausea feeling that had washed over her as she could not have a grip on anything. "It is just our different experiences." She eventually mumbled, there was no way to fix this right, she should just stop talking. That would be for the best but Rowan did not know how, the silence would be the worse. She should pack up and leave probably.
