An Unlikely Partnership (Hana)

At least he was a realist, she wondered. Tokyo felt so difficult to handle but she did not want that to happen or start in Musutafu, she wanted it to remain safe and sound for the kids and the job there. She would see though what he had to say and she looked at the food that was brought inside by the man that had come to pick her up. Hm, at least he showed his food around, that was something. It did look like a mush of some tomato and the like, she wasn't sure if she would call it appetizing, but at least the pie looked nice and she gave him a short smile and twirled the fork that was handed to her as well and looked at Giovanni, not that she knew his name. She took a bite of the pie first, small, on the tip of her fork, barely biting it off. She listened, almost choking. Oh, that was clever.

"The man can die, I wouldn't bet my beautiful eyelashes about it." There it was, she found her Scandal. "Of course, I might feel a moment of delight, but he isn't my concern if he is not in my way. Unfortunately, it starts to be very hard to say this as he is everywhere." She took a bite of the salad and it looked worse than it tasted, she kind of liked it. "But alas what can a writer like I do about it." Now it was his turn again to play this what was it, ways of sets, he would have to entertain her and she would see what she could do about it. She would be okay if this would undeniably bring Thunder away from the scene, but she wasn't sure if she should get too close to him.

Now she did not expect this to happen today, it was almost disappointing and yet it was not. She simply watched him, playing with her fork in the salad he provided before. Hm, what to think about it and how to reply. She gritted her teeth and simply stared now at him, cautious and though she knew that he wasn't probably who he said he was, she accepted in a way. "You do know that he is missing at this point? So I can't do much until Thundershock reappears, he has been taken before by the plutocracy and we have therefore no idea where he is. If you have an informant or whatsoever then I could try and spy on him for sure, I will let you know what I need once that is ready. But I do work on my own, so don't expect a full report on everything." It was good that he did not seem to notice that she was already wearing a disguise, but that was okay, Scandal knew how to handle this. She needed to give him a payback anyway for threatening her son.

And he needed to be gone, little did Hanako know only that she would not be in the right state of mind only a few weeks later. That wasn't to say that she still was waiting on Thundershock to call her back so to say, but her white cellphone had been awfully quiet.

She narrowed her eyes a little, yes right now he was nowhere to be seen, so she wondered how long their deal would last, but than again they could both avoid each other easily if it would take too long. Considering they only knew each others alias. She heaved her head a little and watched him closely, "I am not a villain, so as long as you are a reasonable partner I don't see why we would not have a deal." She took his card and let it disappear in the pocket of her suit, they were probably the same, but she wasn't so sure what she would create for him if she would give him everything, the nitty-gritty. "Let me know when you find him and I will play my part." As long as that was a possibility again. She would have to see.

But that said, it meant she took the deal and she took a second bite of the salad, "If you don't have any further questions, could your associate bring me back to the bar?" She asked politely, there was not much to discuss as of now, the man of action was after all missing. It would take some time before they would be in contact, but for now they simply had what they both came for, that is in a sense. Hanako did not desperately need this interview, it could come later. When she was back in full swing.
