Pro Hero Restrictions: In our True Path canon, heroes are meant to be rare. Japan is the first country with a government hero program, and current pros are mostly pardoned ex-vigilantes, and a handful of handpicked other candidates. Thus, to keep heroes feeling “exclusive,” we only have 20 open hero slots at any given time.
This obviously doesn’t always feel great for players, and we’ve discussed the system many times in staff, but decided, ultimately, it was worth keeping. However, to try to make this fair, we’re implementing two further rules aimed at Pro Heroes:
First, one Pro Hero per player. This will apply going forward, so members with two heroes shouldn’t be worried right now. However, we want to ensure multiple slots aren’t taken up by a single member in the future. We’re also going to raise the slot limit to reflect current members with more than one hero--(This will result in one more open slot)
Second, activity: Starting next activity check, (in a month or so), heroes need to have at least one active thread running to keep their slot. There will be plenty of warning, so everyone will have time to create threads. If you aren’t active on your hero, or don’t feel like you can keep the level of activity needed, they’ll be either put “off duty” (and thus, be a civilian), or they of course have the option of going rogue, and becoming a vigilante or villain.
Thanks, TP Staff.
