He found himself feeling a bit of annoyance as an ache was lightly setting in behind his eyes. The strain and annoyance of this case beginning to cause this ache to grow lightly. It was a sensation he was used to after being on the force for a few years now. Eventually finishing jotting down the notes of details of what she'd all said and explained and some various other bits that had caught his attention or details he'd seen as noteworthy as well. Clasping the notepad closed and sliding it into his upper shirt pocket for safe keeping. Tucking it away as it was beginning to become abundantly clear this questioning wasn't going to go to far. It had born fruit but sadly not as much as he'd have liked. He didn't like not being able to do more for the girl as he fished for a card in his upper jacket pocket as he spoke.
"I suppose that is true, That place has enough pro's in it's halls from what I hear it'd be better then having a whole squad of cop cars behind. But even still..." He'd say briefly offering her a calling card with the station's number as well as his own in it to his desk. At least it would show the police were here to help. Quirkers didn't always get a fair shake in life and after this girls run in like this he still wanted to show his support and aid should she require it when the time comes. "This is for you, All the same just encase." He'd say with a kind warm although tired expression.

“I understand...just make sure to talk to the school about it first..”, she would respond as she would take another sip of her water. She watches the detectives expression as she would answer. In her mind, she understands how god damn frustrated he must feel with this case. Its surreal, it makes no sense, there's only one witness, nothing seems to add up and all information has no evidence aside from her words. This is going to end with no solution unless she actually gets some actual information they can use. Her memories became more and more detailed as she would force herself to recall anything else. Recalling to the best of her ability and then it hit her. It was her outfit, it wasn't any outfit that someone would normally wear. It was distinctly a military uniform that looked foreign in relation. She acted under someone's command and she was sent by someone else, she escaped without a trace and not a thing was found. With her injuries, she couldn't have gotten far but escaping with no trail left behind is another bullet point. Bilingual, knows her from the sports festival, got away without a trace, and she has the skills that can kill.
“Wait ...I remember something else...her outfit was distinctly military. It didn't look like she was from any division in the country...maybe Chinese” she would retch out of her brain as she tried to get all the details down as much as possible.”She watched last year's sports festival and wore a distinct green uniform...she was under orders and got away without a trace..”, she would slowly put the pieces together before suddenly realizing where she was from. “..She's from the Chinese quirker school, she goes to the chinese quirker school and she had help from her country...I know this sounds crazy but with so little info the quirker school, it’d be difficult to find a lead on them...right?”, she would add on as she would slowly started to understand the full picture.
She told the detective and hoped to god that he believes her because that was a detail she overlooked. Animosity, the escape, the skills, the uniform, everything started to make sense. Her grandfather’s brother is someone very powerful and wants to send a message to his brother by using her as an example. Now the only question that remains is ’ who exactly is her grandfather’ and ‘what does her family actually do?’. The voice in her head during that encounter puzzles her as she used skills that she never knew. Something happened in her childhood and she has to know considering what happened to her. Its all speculation and guesswork but with how crazy everything has been, its the closest thing that she can have as an answer. Something to rationalize everything over.
She would glance over to her phone to see that her aunt texted her,’I'm gonna be there soon, give me like ten minutes’. Ten minutes left before she takes a chance and asks for the truth.

He would at first simply give her a nod finishing his notes. Talking to the school and getting updates as well as updating others would of course be a part of the investigation he'd see to soon. This almost feeling like a close coming to their interaction as it seemed leads slowly dried or the ones that didn't had began to lead elsewhere as if forks had been stuck strong in the road ahead metaphorically speaking. But just as this feeling took strong hold his eyes flickered towards her again as she seemed to snap back with some details sparking in her mind. This something that happened from time to time when someone so recently experienced the danger or crime that was at question in the present.
Almost on instinct and with quick reaction the officer produced his note pad and pencil from his pocket again with a gusto to gain details while details were truly there to be gathered. Sometimes witnesses or victims would recall details back at their own pace depending the severity of the incident they'd been through so he didn't think much of it as her mind sparked back like this into details.
"The Chinese hero school? She had a military uniform too?" He'd ask again in question of what he just heard but also in a bit of disbelief if not worry as well. if this was true it really widened the implication of what could all be at hand here beyond maybe just simple villain business or attacks. "Could you go into a bit more detail? How do you know they are from the Chinese academy? This could be more dangerous then I thought... These circumstances are rather peculiar." He'd say in a solid tone feeling his palms become lightly sweaty as well.

“I don’t have much besides the fact that she ran off as the two other officers came to check. But she was injured and couldn’t have gotten very far...but she was gone without a trace. I can trust the law enforcement in this city, but with what she told me about incidents that neat that area...Its a hunch that she had help from the outside.”, she would say she would rack her brain for all the details she can squeeze from it. “She watched the school festival and knew how I fought...one could chalk it up from someone who hated quirkers...but why did she target me exactly and how did she get there? I wouldn't believe that a militaristic academy like theirs would let their students go overseas without a reason...its all a hunch and it sounds as dangerous as it sounds if it's true.”, she would add on as she start to piece together the path of logic she took to get to this response. It could be 100% wrong by all rights but with this many factors and details, it could be a dangerous discovery. Something that could lead to something huge if found out. Not just her family, but there are perhaps more they are after.
“There's too many coincidences that don't add up considering that was my first time running that route as well. She had been following me since the moment I went into town for a jog and then disappears without a trace ...I fear that whoever attacked me, I may not be the only one they could be after….”, she would say as a grim expression would color her face. The only people now who can help elaborate is her Aunt who was coming to pick her up in about...five minutes.
“I know I have to go soon...but I will contact you if I learn anything else..I fear that things are going to get more complicated once I find out...”, she would tell the officer as she would finish her water.

Things were as complicated as complicated could get it seemed. Some things needed to be looked into to likely make any more heads or tails of it all. At the moment the officer could only do so much on the girls testimony and speculation alone. But thankfully the details she gave did open up a few good possible avenues the officers could think of to push forward in an investigation. Or at least so was as much as he felt in the current moment thinking to himself and mulling over all the data he'd collected in his head. Reading his notes silently back to himself in a brief moment of contemplation and concentration.
"We might leave a officer to guard your room just to update you until you return to school. Allot of this still leaves allot of unknowns so we'll want to make sure you're safe. I can call you if any new information comes our way as well." He'd say feeling what she said too many variables for this to be coincidence. It was... He wasn't sure what to make of it truly. Sighing lightly as he finished jotting down notes briefly asking before he'd go. "Anything you still wish to add to your statement?" He'd ask briefly.
While he would speak and do so a familiar woman would be making her way slowly to Feng's room after checking at the guest check in desk down in the main offices. Her aunt with a stern but tired expression as it seemed she'd have to meet with her niece to settle some things it seemed. Family matters could never be simple it seemed.

“Gotcha...but you might want to talk to the school about that just in case...girls dorms and what not..”, she would reply.
Having her be guarded would be the compromise to this entire mess and the school would have to do some explaining on that end.. But it was the least she can do to calm this detectives nerves at least. She would take a moment to think about what else to add to her statement. With everything that has occured, it was mentally taxing to say the least. She would ponder for a few moments before giving her reply.
“If this statement goes missing...then we may have stumbled into something big and if not, then another one for the pile”, she would say as she would finish her water. A somewhat lighthearted statement in hopes that all of this was mere coincidence. But the time for that is done as she received another text and she immediately knew it is her aunt. ” I think my aunts here...I’ll see ya around detective..”
She got up out of her chair and opened the door to see her aunt. Sister to her mum and has all of the defining features like her aside from the constantly tired complexion and attitude. She was there to pick her up and looks like she has a lot of explaining to do on the way back.
“Aunt Mei.”, she would just say as a greeting as she would exchange her usual greetings. After that they would head to the car that was parked at the front. From there, the rather lengthy car ride back to her house that will tell her everything about her family.

The detective had parted as he'd gathered all he could in this situation. The more foot work of police work now ahead of him as he parted from the room respectfully and punctually. while he would leave however a calm and collected but truly powerful presence would arrive next. The Aunt of the young student giving the girl a sigh but a soft if not perhaps tired smile as she would slowly walk and make herself over to the hospital bedside. A warm albeit simple smile at first greeting her niece. Sitting in one of the chairs next to the bed where she could greet and speak to her niece more eye to eye and respectfully.
"Nice to see you Feng... I wish it could have been under better circumstances though." She'd say as something seemed to be bothering her but only lightly as her hands laid lightly upon her lap sitting calmly with all the calm posture though like one would expect from someone with such underlying skills this woman held at her finger tips. This was a bit odd as she checked in unsure even where to start. "Are you okay? Have they been treating you okay here?" she'd say carefully starting but not wasting time either in a verbal strike as she'd quickly follow the talk with. "Why don't you tell me what happened... I know you likely don't want to keep retelling it and I can an only assume the silly police have kept you busy. But please... I'd like to know." She'd say as her voice even almost carried a sense of authority in it. While caring still perhaps that of and a adult caringly questioning a child.

Aunt Mei's demeanor made Feng nervous immediately. It wasn't because she disliked her because her family was as tight knit as it can be. She is rather close to her mother but at the same time they have a very well known rivalry within the family and some of it does extend to herself and Ty-Lee. Hell aside from that, she barely knows her aunts occupation or anything in that matter as it was all hush hush about it. The usual response is some kind of company but it was always vague in tone. That wasn't the end there as it extended to her body language.
It was how she spoke and how she reacted to the situation. More calm about the situation than she initially thought she expected her to be more angry with her due to this. But she’ll have to see when they are on their way home.
The last time she spoke to her or been to her place must have been about months ago due to UA. Most of the contact was with the cousins and visits were scarce. So telling her much less asking her about the information she has now is going to be a coin toss. She could have very easily told her a lie to keep her in the dark but something tells her she can't.
“They treat me just fine, it was only a small talk. Few questions and that's it and I’ll talk more about it on the way back...”, she would tell a half truth as she doesnt know how much Aunt Mei knows. As they walked to the car that was parked out front, she was thinking of how to ask her various questions without hitting her with all the details. But she was going to ask either way as there were too many things going on in that situation and she needs to know. As they would both get into the car, she would begin to speak up carefully to avoid mentioning key details.
“I was out for a run by the coast and someone attacked me…. Is the short of it but they kept saying they know me...like not like TV personalities know, like they held some sort of vendetta against me for a while..and I'm a bit confused as to why…”, she would say to Aunt Mei as the car started up. An awkward silence filled the air as they would both get on the road. The streets were empty this time of year so no distractions or anything.

Her aunt listened and had what appeared to be a soft caring sensation behind her eyes, But all the while her body posture and body language remained serious and steadfast. As if a strong soldier or truly disciplined life had left her serious and ready in all situations. Only her eyes now and again and expression briefly showing emotions and concern as the story when on. Caring in her own way one might say given the circumstances of her youth and life.
"Thing's aren't truly so simple all the time. It would seem old problems that I'd hope wouldn't come to your concern and notice so soon. But I suppose we can't control fate anymore then we control the weather." She'd say in a brief sigh briefly readjusting herself where she say to get more comfortable. She thought briefly how to handle this as she knew the young girl must have had so many questions and been unsettled from all that had happened. All of this had really been expected but no one was sure if she'd suffer the same targeting or could be spared for a few more years during her studies. Hindsight could be endless thoughts if one let the thought take them though so the aunt quickly tore herself back to the present and away from hindsight's grip.
"My young niece... Has anyone else from our family ever mentioned the Tao name to you before? OR perhaps what importance it might hold to us?" she'd say briefly to gauge the girls first expressions or reactions. Wondering just how long of a discussion this might prove a cause to be.

“No! nothing at all! Most of my knowledge came from Tao herself and I haven't heard jack shit from the mom or dad back home. They were always the ones to yell at me when I kept secrets and yet here they are keeping another fucking secret that put my ass on the line...so please elaborate on what the fuck just happened to me because I’m about seven second away from losing my fucking m-”, she would let the words flood out as she would get a slight bit made before quickly calming down, taking deep breaths to help it.. “- I would like to know what the hell they were talking about if you don’t mind. Because if they attacked me while I was out for my run they could attack me at any time. So please.” she would ask earnestly as she would stare out the window of the car. Staring out and just thinking about what it's going to mean for her for the rest of the year.
It was rare that her Aunt would use this kind of her tone since she was always more strict on her cousins and would always be the louder one at the family gatherings. Heck, she didn't even know she lived in japan until her first year at UA. But if she has answers to her dilemma then she is about all ears in what she is about to learn about her family. But she had to ask some good questions to get more specific answers if she wanted to get anything useful."Who are the Tao exactly and what did grandpa do to them exactly? They seem to hate us with a burning passion from what I heard from the assassin...", she would ask cautiously as she would slowly shift her gaze to her Aunt.

The woman listened at first calmly, Understanding the childs obvious irritation and angered emotions in the moment. Only after a short time eventually raising her hand in a sort of authoritative but also calm way of as if suggesting to settle and for the girl to calm herself so the conversation could continue forwards respectfully and hopefully not as eye catching to those that may wonder around just encase any eyes may be watching or ears listening as could sometimes be the case when olden grudges and feuds reach such a level.
"Thing's run very deep and can be a little confusing my dear, Please settle..." She'd state briefly. "The Tao and your grandfather have a history that runs very deep. Deeper then perhaps it should have ever gone. But once the past has been written you can never undo it's words." Crossing her legs sitting like a respectable and calm woman but her body seemingly a little tensed as she prepared to poise herself on how to continue. "The Tao's see us as their enemies child. You're father killed someone very important to them years ago. Our feud has costed harm from one side to the other in various ways for several years now. An that's putting it unjustly mildly." She'd say waiting a few moments to allow her niece to digest this information to begin with. She knew this might have been... A strong way to move forward with things. But at least if they started strong in explanation. Maybe she could quickly begin to understand as well.

“Grandfather didn't peg as the type to kill anyone...I’m just doubtful about...all of this...If what the girl said is true….then I'm afraid about what else I will learn.”, as she stared out at the night sky. The words were real but none of it was making sense. Just what exactly is her family and what did her grandfather do exactly? He was the more kindly type who was more or less overly dramatic about fights. It comes as surprise that he of all people could be responsible for an entire family hating them by association. The truth itself only inspired more questions as the talk continued. The festival was coming up, she had a bunch of training to catch up on and this was the last thing she needed on her plate in addition to all of that.
“..I’m...why keep this a secret if this would happen…If I knew about this then my decision to go to UA must've been met with more resistance...hell, I’d have reconsidered if I was going to a school this close to dangerous territory..”, remarking as she glanced over to her aunt. “Adding onto the fact that everyone had the budget and availability to even let me study abroad. I’m finding it difficult to keep up with all of this...”, questions in the brain start to surface as she wonders what her family's actual occupation is. Her memories show a few dozen times where her mother’s movements were more than can be called a ‘doctor's touch’. Her father as well as was always outside and never really speaking about his past life. His life of adventure did give her a story or more but he’d never speak about them in huge detail. Her breath came into question but then she started to think about her siblings.
“...Who else knows about this...Who else knows about this entire deal...”

She didn't seem to talk all the news well her aunt thought. But at least she took it in stride and didn't allow herself to fly off the handle or take things in a complicated fashion or overly emotionally some might say. If they were simply a normal people and a normal blood line then may that would have happened. But this was not the case. She allowed her to digest some of this information as well as going on with various other questions. Her Aunt for the time just remained listening silently when Feng had a question. Also allowing her to get her emotions out calmly when needed. After some time her aunt serious as she was would eventually hold up a hand as if to calm and settle her niece as she'd begin answering again. Her strong authoritative figure always lightly glowing from her.
"Our family comes from a long line of... Special work. He only did what he had to do, or at least what came of simply a result of our families heritage."
She took a pause for a few moments before continuing. It was clear she was having trouble knowing what words to let free and what words to keep locked away. "There was resistance, But we didn't know if you were ready to know things like these, Family blood or not. This path you've chosen could have been a different path for you. We weren't fully sure what would be best for you at that time. As for who all knows." She'd say holding her hand to her chin briefly as she seemed to be thinking this over in her head at the moment for a few passing seconds.
"A few people in our own clan, As well as those with who attacked you too. It's a well guarded secret for those not involved in our ways of life. But within this kind of work and way of life a few have heard whispers or seek vengeance." She'd say trying to give the best answers she could to her niece that sought after the information.

All of it was surreal as each answer was met with more confusion. Her family comes from a bunch of killers and she and her siblings have their blood. This sounds like a novel, this sounds so stupid, it feels like a joke but it isnt. Too many things were happening at once as she couldn't find the opportunity to process all of it. The night was stressful enough as is and this piling on top of it was becoming too much. She took a deep breath as she sat there in silence as she took it all in.
“What was best for me really...did I really make the right choice in becoming a hero?”, is what she thought as she saw the streetlights go by. Passing and distant as all of her thoughts on the situation were jumbled. She just wanted to be in her dorm room and sleep it off, this was becoming too much for her and thinking more and more about it is going to cause some stress.
After a few more minutes of silence, she spoke up again with a simple statement, “I’m….just take me home…I’ll talk about this more...at a later date..its been a long day and I don't know how to feel about any of this…”, is all she could say as she looked at her phone. Telling the detective was a question that was burning in her mind but she held back on doing it on impulse before she got the full story of this. It may lead into more danger than what it's worth as she is right now...for now she will continue her life as if none of this happened and once she is ready...then she can learn the truth.
"Auntie...once I decide I want to learn more about this...can you promise me to tell me everything? I want to hear everything and I will risk my safety for the sake of the truth...I want to know what y family truly is..."

Her Aunt felt herself silent for a short time when her Niece was speaking. Not so much staying super silent only but instead mainly just listening caringly like one might imagine from someone higher up in the family line. Respectfully but her eyes and body language still saying that she was always listening and watching. All the signs of a semi matriarch some might even say in comparison.
"I believe its a noble path, But I honestly can't answer that question for you. While I believe it could help the family and you in your own way. That question is honestly one you must answer for yourself." She'd say in a caring tone and with a somewhat stern structure in her voice as well. Her Niece had questions, doubts, all that had happened recently how could she not. But some of these questions weren't things she could simply give her the answer for. As was true with many questions in life. Sometimes only the person themselves could actually find the answer they would seek and need. Others could only merely help guide the way.
She nodded when the girl wanted to go home. Making a small nod and wave to someone not far off. Giving a few whispers as someone would while outside bring the car around as her Niece wished and help get her home. Her Aunt likely sticking with her for the ride to to make sure she was safe.
"I'll see you home safetly, An of course... Perhaps when your more rested and things have settled a bit after this unfortunate incident we can talk with level heads and more calm hearts." She'd say calmly explaining and likely bringing around the wheelchair as was custom for most hospitals. Her niece had seen beyond the veil of the real world her bloodline was wrapped up in. Closing it now again would be likely truly impossible. She truly hoped she could guide her niece as best she could and with hope things wouldn't reach this level of danger as it had today again without them all being ready next time.
