Yumi had been a little thrown by the fact their hostage situation had made actual news. Heck she only even heard about it originally because Yojin had brought it up in the school chat...she supposed she woulda heard about it eventually anyway when the followers of her blog and youtube channel recognized her hero name from the news, but all the same, it had really blindsided her. She'd briefly gotten super excited that she'd managed to make the news for hero work before graduating, buuuuuut as she went on, recalling the event...it had certainly weighed on her a bit.
Seemed the same had been true for Feng, the two had a bit of a split experience since Yumi had stayed behind to talk with the girl they'd been dealing with and keep an eye on her, but Feng and Angel had their own experience with the girl that Yellow Jacket had taken down. Ultimately, both girls agreed through the UA chat that they'd each be finding their time to visit miss Yellow Jacket, and see what they could make of the situation going forward. Yumi herself had basically promised she'd be as involved as she could in this case given how much she empathized with the thread girl's motive, even if she didn't agree with her actions...
They'd of course managed to fill Angel in on their plan, given she'd been involved too, and before long the trio approached their internship-leader. She couldn't say much on the matter but it was clear she was going to be busy, but she said she would arrange for them to get visitation rights to the twins. Whether it was to make them face their... 'victims' for lack of a better word. See the faces of the people they may have to testify for or against in court if they were to lend themselves to the trial process, or maybe Hachi just wanted them to face a bit more of the reality of the situation...whatever it was, it seemed this was going down while they wouldn't have Yellow Jacket to keep an eye on them...
Mosa did some work to prepare them for the day in Yellow Jacket's absence. Making sure they knew how to act and what to say. He'd also inform them that, as Heroes, it was best they arrive on scene in their official gear. He made it very clear they were not to use their quirks without supervision, buuuut...it helped promote the image of heroes being professionals if they went in uniform, something Yumi found hard to disagree with.
On the day of the trip, and after the three girls had caught up a bit and hopped in the back of the car, Yumi thought quietly on the ride on how to approach a certain topic. Sitting in the latest winter edition of her hero costume, a more full-body covering set with her new utility belt (including the lightning rods that Red had helped her develop). She leaned her head back, and whenever there felt like an appropriate lull, she'd address it.
"So er...since we're going to be seeing the twins in like...a few minutes I guess. Juvy's don't have lines right?" her nerves were getting to her to ask such a stupid question. Not as much as they had in the past but still present. She cleared her head and tried again. "Anyway er...you should probably know what we talked about without you. I don't think we should let her know you guys know unless it feels relevant, but i want you guys to know because...I want you to know why I'm sympathetic, and maybe offer some context."
She took a slow breath, and continued. "They were trying to get...revenge, for their sister. My memory isn't the strongest but it stuck with me pretty well I feel. Apparently she had a quirk to share another person's joy or pain, and this...jackass of a boyfriend she had at the time kept dumping all his negative emotions on her? I think that's what she said...bottom of the line, even though they tried to get help. Eventually....their sister..."
She rubbed the side of her arm, a sigh through her nose. "Remember I reacted REALLY sharply to the idea they might...kill themselves? This was why. Their sister did before them and I thought from talking to her that...maybe that was her endgame. To get revenge and end it herself. I'm...hoping I was wrong, that we don't see any signs of that when we see them, but I still think it's best you guys know." She rubbed the back of her neck, but ultimately pulled herself strenght, a more stern expression. "By no means, whatsoever, does it excuse what they did. Not at all. but I want it to be known why I empathize because...maybe. I dunno. Maybe in a dark patch of our lives like that we might feel tempted to do the same, and while what they did was entirely their own choice...I don't think the person they were seaking was entirely without blame either. It's part of why I wanna get involved going forward. See if there's any way to make sure they're punished fairly, and this man she spoke of recieves some form of punishment through their testimonies..."
She gave a mild shrug, before letting out another breath. "Sorry to drop that on you guys I just...thought it best you be informed."

T he day's events had Angel both excited and nervous all at the same time! A couple days previously both Feng and Yumi had approached Angel about following up with the pair of criminal twins that they had helped their shared mentor Yellow Jacket defeat and put away in order to give them a bit more real world hero experience and get to know more about who they might have to testify for or against. Obviously Angel had agreed to this plan and so when the day arrived and they were assigned a driver and official car Angel quickly got dressed in her hero suit and met up with the pair of girls and quickly got in the car choosing to sit between Feng and Yumi. The ride was mostly a quiet one up until they got close to their destination when Angel began to notice and almost feel how upset Yumi was becoming and so Angel gave her a kind glance and listened thoughtfully as Yumi explained the tragic backstory and emotional downfall of the wire twins they had brought down. Apparently the twins had a sister who's quirk allowed her to take in the emotions of other individuals like a super powered empath and as a result the girl's boyfriend continuously dumped negative emotions onto her which lead to her taking her own life as an escape which was what caused the twins to crave revenge. Once the story was over Angel without a second thought took Yumi's hand and locked fingers with her giving her hand a comforting squeeze as Yumi told them she hoped they didn't see any suicidal signs in the twins when they visited. "Listen to me Yumi. I also know what it's like to have someone else's negative feelings dumped on her and what that can do to your psyche. The way I see it,it's part of our job as heroes to try and help these twins change and redeem themselves. They haven't killed anyone yet so their souls can still be saved and their lives put back on the right path. Maybe we can convince them to once they get out try and use their emotional ordeal to help others through suicide prevention or something. Just by listening to these girl's stories you have given them the chance to save themselves. You did a good thing that a lot of the time normal society doesn't do. Don't forget that."Angel then gave Yumi's hand another light squeeze as she gave her a compassionate smile. "We can do this girls, I know we can!"

Feng’s life is a mess at the current moment. Many things hit her at once with varying degrees intensity. Life, Internships, Training, Family business, an attempt on her life are just a few things to name off her list. However, one event in particular has come up as of late and involved her internship with the pro hero Yellow Jacket. Many things happened to her during that particular internship: a lesson on improper quirk use, running along the city skyline, nearly falling several stories, and coming face to face with a villain who was not much older than her. The girls who were awake during the ideal also added to the stress due to volatile situation. Her outburst in front of everyone was her stress reaching her limit and afterwards and a few close calls it all ended well.
Well that's what she wanted it to be but things were never simple in the grand scheme of things. The news showed up on the bulletin board and her heart sank with the reality that it was then who did the job. A part of her wants to jump up with joy with the reality that this was her first victory as a hero. But she couldn’t find any joy with it due to the proceedings that followed and many other personal events that lead to her questioning her purpose.
However it seemed that Yumi and Angel shared the same sentiment when it came to this ordeal and wanted to talk about it and see the suspects. Feng jumped at it the first chance she got in order to get some closure and possibly understand why they did it. The days leading up to their planned visit were coaching and guidance from Mosa on basic etiquette to this sort of thing. Yellow Jackets Absence was the reason for this and the days were mostly Feng calming her mind and trying to find a state of mind that seems manageable.
Then the day of meet up arrived and Feng was told to wear her hero suit and lo and behold she wore a white and improved version of her hero outfit. The appointed car rolled up and she quietly went along after Yumi. The silence was heavy as the faint sound of the car moving on the road filled the air. A faint sense of tension could be felt as it accompanied them. It was then that Yumi opened up about the...villains and their reasons behind their actions.
Feng didn’t know how to react and she listened to every detail as she explained about the twins, their situation and the...loss of a loved one due to an abusive spouse. She struggled to say the last part but it was a tragic conclusion that could be seen from a mile away. She would later go on to speak her thoughts and fears about the twins afterwards and much of it resonated with her. Much of it was shared and it felt like she was saying her thoughts already. The rush of the battle didn't leave much for negotiation and her outburst against the sister in the car after hearing this made her feel even worse. She assumed she knew everything about them, that they were monsters, but they were just people trying to do what's right and lost their way. She kept a stern expression on her face as she was on the verge of breaking down after realizing so many things she did wrong in the last hours.
But in the end they were criminals and no amount of reasons could ever justify the ends of it. As much as it pains her to think that the boyfriend got away from it. Empathy is quite a double edged sword, we can feel great sadness to understand out fellow man and yet this can be exploited for other peoples gain. To feel the pain for someone else is another person's gain. Feng's mind was on edge as various thoughts were going through her head. What if she ended up like them? What if her family experienced the same loss, would they have done the same? Could she have been in that girls place if one of her siblings died like that? And so on.
She spaced out for a moment and suddenly flinched at the sight of Angels actions and lightly hit her hand away from Yumis on accident. Her words went through her like air as wishful thinking was the last thing she needed in her current mindset. She needed to be strong and no matter the reasons, the law is the law. As frustrating as it is, its how this society works and rose tinted words don’t help at all. She wondered if she was even ready for this visit.
She took a deep breath, “Sorry… and it's fine Yumi. I felt something was off after their arrests and learning this now makes me feel terrible…”, she reply to her in a look of gratitude on her face. But then her face took a more melancholic look as she continued to speak,”..I blew up at the sister...and it was stupidandunfprofessionalandinsentiveand-”, the words started flooding out as she held back tears as all of her regrets came forth. Yes they were criminals but they lost their sister, they tried all the legals means and the law didn't help, the system failed them and their actions were justified but not to the extent of threatening innocence to date a vendetta against a piece of trash.
Feng quickly buried her face in her thighs and stayed quiet as she already said her piece. It was then at this point that all of her stress overflowed and she wanted to run away and sleep. But she had a duty and by damn she will see it through to the end. To see if her feelings are justified in these trying times.

Yumi was glad the other two girls didn’t seem dismissive of her explanation. She’d worried for about a week after their internship she’d showed far too much empathy to the criminals they’d apprehended, but again, while she could never justify the path they chose, she could…see what lead to it. They still absolutely needed to be punished, but she thought it was only fair she, Feng, and Angel had the information to get the right impression of them. They still absolutely did a horrible thing, but that didn’t mean they were horrible people at their core.
As Angel tried to link fingers with her, Yumi gave her a bit of an awkward look and pulled her hand away. She… appreciated the gesture, but a simple hand squeeze would have been okay. Linking fingers with her like that felt a little too intimate, especially given the other recent events resting on Yumi’s head. She let out a still awkward “Thanks but…” And her sentence just lingered at such. She didn’t know what exactly to say to follow her ‘but’, but she was pretty sure Angel would get the idea all the same.
She’d offer the same politeness the girls had done to her and listen to them in turn. She listened to Angel’s suggestion of putting them in some sort of suicide prevention course when they got out which…stunned Yumi a little as a suggestion. Logically it MIGHT work, but at the same, time, putting that forward as an idea so soon felt…wrong. Like it was using their terrible experience to everyone elses gain by making them help others through it. Ultimately it’d still be the twins choice but to even suggest that to them…Yumi could only imagine it causing them to feel a bit ragey. “Er…maybe?” She’d simply say, a little unsure how to respond to that suggestion, not wanting to dismiss it rudely but not..supportive, either. “I’m sure a lot of other pros would have done what I did anyway so… it’s no big deal.” She shrugged.
With Feng, she seemed to be a little more affected by the retelling of the girl’s story, and even felt some regret about her own actions. Yumi would have reached across to maybe…squeeze her shoulder, but with Angel between them that wasn’t really an option. With a little less energy than Angel, as she caught they were arriving at the detention center out the window, she’d let out.
“Yeah I’m…sure we’ll be fine…come on though. We’re heroes. Feeling good or not, we gotta put on a smile…ey Feng?” She didn’t want to pressure the girl into faking a smile if she couldn’t, but it felt like something to at least remind her of before they got out the car.

A ngel could almost downright taste and see the auras of the distraught feelings coming from both Feng and Yumi especially as Yumi pulled her hand away from her own which caused Angel to look down at her hand for a moment as Yumi thanked her,but ended it with a but which hung in the air. Angel understood what it meant and so she just looked over at Yumi and gave her a nod. Things were still a bit awkward between the two of them since their day out together and Angel confessed her crush to the red head. Now was not the time to think of such things and so Angel focused herself in on both of her crime fighting partners words as Feng sounded as if she was going to cry and so Feng gave her a small smile. "Everyone makes mistake Feng. You had no way of knowing their situation or background. You did the right thing by focusing on the mission and fight in front of you. If you hadn't then lives could have been lost. As heroes on the scene our top priority should always be the people we are saving. Everything else should come after. You did as well as you could have in that situation."As Yumi said that she was sure that any other pro would have done what she did Angel just nodded and did her best to try and smile in a reassuring way to try and ease both lovely red heads concerns and worries. In truth Angel truly hadn't allowed the emotional stakes to effect her in the moment because she was so focused on the fight in front of her. Now that the smoke had cleared however and the story was told it did begin to weight on her slightly as now there were two more lives on the line that they both needed to try and redeem and keep alive. As they arrived Angel nodded to Yumi's words about keeping a smile. To this Angel looked over to Feng and gave her a large smile. "Yumi is right! One of a heroes most important assets is their smile that reassures victims of tragedy that everything will be alright! From where I sit a hero isn't fully geared up without a smile! I say we go in there and help those girls heal and help pick up the pieces of their lives. If we play this right not only will we help them heal, but maybe they will want to abandon their path of vengeance and choose to help others. We are in a unique position girls. Let's not waste it!"

Is everything actually alright? Feng didn't want to force a smile because it would be too obvious. But what else can she do? Just grimace at the criminals in Juvy where it housed twins who did worse and were barely older than her? But Yumi does have a good point, they are heroes and they need to set an example to the many who look to them for help. Heroes...heroes ...that's something she hadn’t thought about in a while. Her dream of being a high flying heroine...that's something to smile for right? She needed to smile but the act of it felt like herculean task, she just can’t do it with everything that has happened to her. She can fight with no problem or leap buildings with a single jump, but a smile is something she can’t do right now.
Is it justified to have these feelings? Is it alright to feel all this regret and sadness for criminals? Can a hero feel remorse over villains who threatened human lives? Their story and actions tell a different tale from what she assumed. Each detail made her squirm in her seat as they were normal girls who had drawn the short end of the stick. How else would one act if the very laws that were made to punish criminals and help them failed? How can one trust the law after failing to help them before? There are too many factors that could play into this, but the fact that she could have easily turned this way if something were to happen to her siblings is a scary thought. She wonders if her siblings knew the struggles she is going through over here.
What else could she have done? Feng only acted out of a duty to Hachi and to do what she assumed was right. She couldn't have talked to them afterwards like Yumi, she doesn’t know how to talk to other people properly. She can't be a wordsmith, she can’t understand people, she can’t relate to them, the only thing she knows what to do is fight and fight. The only thing she knows what to do is fight and fight but what good has that done for her as of late? It has brought nothing but trouble and regrets that she would even considering seeing herself a hero in the first place. A good for nothing adrenaline junkie who enjoys the life threatening battles she gets in and never considers the consequences. But-
What is with those words Angel, that doesn't make me feel better at all. The top priority was to save the civilians and not engage the suspects. We only did it when we had no other choice. Don’t decide how I should view things because that soft words doesn't get rid of the anger and regret she is feeling deep within her chest. What do words of reassurement do in a time like this? That everything will be okay and just accept things the way they are? No, everything is not ok and all these sugar coated words of encouragement is only doing the opposite and make me doubt my actions more! AM I A HERO OR WAS I IN THE RIGHT PLACE AT THE RIGHT TIME, WHAT AM I REALLY IN THE GRAND SCHEME OF THINGS. AM I NOT ALLOWED TO REGRET AND FEEL EMPATHY FOR PEOPLE WHO COULD HAVE EASILY BEEN LIKE ME IF LIFE HAD ONLY TREATED THEM BETTER. Feng’s eyes begin to seethe with anger and sorrow as a slight glow starts to show. But she took a deep breath and is doing her best to calm down. But it was doing little to quell the anger deep in her chest.
Feng glanced over to Yumi for help. She couldn’t find the words to respond to everything that has been going on and simply hoped that she will be over this when they arrive at the correctional center. She shares her plight as she remembered that she also stayed behind after the twins were taken in. But she can’t assume she shares her feelings on the matter but hope that she understands where she is coming from.
She sat in silence and looked out the window to calm her nerves. Hoping that she can set aside a lot of these feelings and hope that the twins are faring better than before. Because at this point, that was the only solace she had at this point.

The Taka Juvenile Training School of Tokyo was one of the oldest and largest centers in the country, and from the outside it looked almost like any other boarding school. There was nice green landscape and the walls were well-painted and everything looked very clean and kept-up nicely. Even the concrete wall around the perimeter looked like the one surrounding UA's grounds. If only the buildings had windows without bars on them, and if only the grounds didn't have security cameras and guards going too and fro with the adolescents here, it may have passed the "normal school" test with flying colors. Alas, it did not. The car that had been rented for the girls pulled up to the front gate where a pair of well-dressed individuals--one man and one woman--were waiting for them. They asked for their school IDs as well as for their bags to perform the routine searches required for the center; should any of the girls refuse the search, they would be asked to remain outside the center until the others returned, but they had been prepared for this visit so they should have nothing to hide. The woman and man then began to walk them toward the main building on campus. Like the wall around the grounds it was solid concrete and clean white walls, with all of the windows barred from the outside. The man held the door open for them to come inside, then left, while the woman introduced herself properly in the hall. " It's a pleasure to meet you three. I am Iseri Masago; I've been working with the Katoaka twins since their arrival. I must confess, I was surprised to hear you three would be visiting," she sighed softly, tucking a lock of long brown hair behind her ear as she went, " When we received the call from Yellow Jacket I initially thought it was for further details on the upcoming trial, not, well, this. But I'm not displeased. This is a good experience for you to have as future heroes, correct?" Masago's tone was not especially friendly, but not in a rude or mean way. There was some level of emotional detachment from their conversation. " A brief amount of background information from what we have learned thus far. Katoaka Kamei and Kamenashi are both recently eighteen years old. Their biological father raised them up until three years ago when he passed away from illness and they went to live with their mother, whom had divorced their father when they were young. She has tried to visit a few times but..." A moment's pause, " Well. Kamenashi-san has been receptive to the idea, but not her sister. So there hasn't been a proper visitation as of yet." " We were made aware they had an elder sister, Kotone, who passed away roughly a month and a half before the incident in Akihabara. The cause of death was a fall from her apartment balcony. It was determined to be suicide." Masago reached the end of the hallway and directed the girls into a room off to the side. It was scarcely furnished but well-lit, with a semi-circle of three chairs on one side of the room and a pair of them on the other. There was a fair amount of space between the three and two chairs, but no visible, physical wall. There was a door on the other side of the room, however, and a wide mirror--it was undoubtedly a one-way window. Masago stepped inside. " I'm informing you of this because I received permission from Kamenashi-san to share it. Suffice to say, she has been very cooperative since her arrest. Kamei-san is not as receptive, nor as willing to work with us, but she has agreed to come to this meeting alongside her sister. We will be outside the room to monitor the situation as necessary but there is not a microphone in this room. We are not listening to and not recording your conversation." She gestured to the three chairs facing the wall with the one-way mirror. " If you require us to intervene, you will be facing the window, so look directly toward it and nod twice to end the session early. We will also end things early in the event of Quirk use on either side. Although I believe it goes without saying, I must ask you to refrain from using your Quirk while in this room or anywhere else on campus. We have a number of Quirker adolescents here and do have security measures to detain them, but we do not wish to resort to that unless it is absolutely necessary." Once the three were inside, they had a moment to ask any more questions of the case worker before she left, and the twins would be, undoubtedly, brought in to meet them.

Glancing across from Angel to Feng, Yumi could see two entirely opposite ends of the scale, extreme optimism and... well, not nihilism, but certainly not a hopeful outlook of the situation. As Feng's eyes met her own she'd part her lips to say something but the car just about pulled up when she was going to speak, glancing to the driver, then the building itself. Best not to keep everyone waiting...
She'd hop out her side of the car, letting Angel climb out behind her if she so chose before waitingf or Feng to round the car from her side, looking to Angel briefly as the guards were beckoning them towards the entrance.
"You go ahead a sec okay Angel? I just need a word with Feng."
She'd make sure Angel was okay to give them a moment, not wanting to push the girl away but feeling she needed to address Feng personally, even if only for a moment. She'd turn her eyes back to the spring loaded heroine in training and offer a soft, if mildly uncertain smile.
"Hey er...I'm sorry. My choice of words wasn't the best back there. Heroes have this thing about smiling in the face of all odds and all that and I just...I didn't want us to walk in there looking like a bunch of awkward teens. But ya know what? Facing criminals, risking death? Compared to all that, what we're about to do is probably among the most terrifying things I'm about to face as a hero. I mean, we're about to walk in there and talk to two girls who suffered something we probably can't ever imagine. Even if it happens to us, and god forbid that, it still won't ever be the same as what those two girls went through. We won't share their thoughts, their feelings, their rage or even their despair when faced with something like that...and it's not something we should just be able to smile through either."
She'd round Feng's side, and lightly rest a hand on her shoulder.
"Don't worry about forcing a smile. I think that stern, thoughtful look can suit you a bit better anyway." She'd start walking with Feng to catch up, idly letting her eyes drift up. "Ya know...probably not the time to get introspective. But...everyone has these grand goals for being heroes. To be the best in their own ways like Darren or Tetsuko, or be some symbol of love and openess like Angel told me once. I...kinda just want to make sure people still see me as human." She'd look back to Feng, her smile perking up a bit. "Cause that's what we still are, right? We're not machines programmed to say and do the right thing so...while I can't even begin to imagine exactly what you're thinking, that look of almost dread you had back in the car? Don't worry about it. Don't force a smile, don't shove it all down...we're not professionals YET afterall. We got a good year and a half before we gotta start acting like robots."
She'd give a light elbow nudge to Feng, hoping that last bit helped lighten the mood a little. She'd stay back if she wanted to say anything away from Angel, but ultimately, didn't want to keep anyone waiting as the two moved inside.
With the security checks all Yumi had with her was the utility belt she'd recently added to her costume. The 6 lightning rods hanging from it may have took some explaining as part of her quirk utility, and ultimately, she would hand them over if asked. They were basically just metal rods afterall, which as simple as they were, could be effective weapons. Once everyone was checked in alright she'd follow the flow of the guards till they met up with the twins social worker.
As the situation was explained to them, Yumi couldn't say she recognized either of the girl's names but...she could take a guess who was who by context. The needle girl was likely the less co-operative given her experience, while Yumi had done her best with thread to try and make sure she play it calm and co-operative herself. She hadn't really expected what she'd said to her to have much difference, but it seemed everything flowed just a little better because of it...that helped her keep her smile. Just a little.
She'd take in the warnings and the signalling system, giving a gentle nod to the social worker to show she internalized it. No quirk use was obvious, but Yumi might have been a little disbelieving the situation wasn't being recorded...hm. She wanted to trust in that, and, really, she had no idea what could even be an issue if it WAS recorded, but all the same. Two quirkers who took hostages not being under constant monitoring? Felt...
No. No. Paranoid again Yumi. Don't go overthinking this. It's probably just a normal aspect of official visitations like this. Still, never hurts to be on your best behaviour just incase.
As they were presented with the situation in it's fullest, Yumi looked between her fellow interns. "I don't have any questions but-" She'd step to the table, taking the middle of the three seats, looking back to Angel specifically. "I know you liked the middle spot in the car, but I think it might be best I present myself as the...centerpiece, I suppose?" She pondered for a moment but that did feel like a good word for it. "See, if I'm right, the girl who's been co-operative is the thread quirker...right?" She'd glance to the social worker for confirmation before continuing. "So if my time with her acted as a calming influence to make this run smoothly, presenting myself more 'central' to the visit might give a good impression..."
She was trying to word herself VERY diplomatically here. Without Hachi, one of them basically had to seem like the 'leader', and while Yumi didn't think she deserved that role by a longshot, the effect she had on the threaded twin might just have a good effect in that regard.

A s Yumi suddenly told Angel to go on ahead and that she needed a word with Feng the young winged girl raised an eyebrow for a moment before looking at the two seeing the almost distraught look on Feng's face. It was clear that this whole situation was giving Feng quite a bit of anxiety and Angel was self aware enough to know that her almost never ending Optimism would most likely end up doing more harm then good in this situation and so she just looked at Yumi and gave her a silently understanding nod before getting out of the car and walking closer to the gate so that she wouldn't hear anything she wasn't supposed to. "I hope they will be okay. If we're gonna help these girls then we need to present a united front."Once the two other ladies joined her and the gate opened and they were greeted by two well dressed individuals who had been sent to explain the situation Angel crossed her arms until she was asked for her ID which she quickly pulled out of a small pocket on her costume meant just for things like important cards and the like. Luckily Angel didn't have any bags or anything on her due to needing to remain relatively light in case the need to fly came up. Once the three were escorted inside Angel remained respectfully with her hands on her hips as the woman introduced herself and began to explain the situation before asking if following up was a good lesson. To this Angel just nodded with her trademark grin. As they continued to walk Angel listened to the woman escorting them explain a bit of the twins backstory and Angel had to admit as someone who had been through the ringer herself these girls didn't really have it all that easy. As she explained that their mother had tried to visit a few times, but that only one of the twins had been receptive Angel placed her hand on her chin in thought. Katoaka most likely had either some resentment toward their mother for leaving or for allowing their sister to commit suicide. It was a tough call and if Angel chose to approach the topic she would have to do so quite carefully. As they reached the end of the hall and were directed to the room where the girls were waiting Angel listened as the trio was told that they were being told all of this information because Kamenashi the receptive twin had given them permission to share it,but that her sister was not as cooperative. As they were told the set up of the room and about the one way mirror Angel nodded and bowed respectfully. "Thank you for being our guide Ma'me. You have been very helpful! I totally appreciate it. We will refrain from using our quirks as instructed."As Yumi looked back at her and suggest that she be the center chair to act as a calming influence on the thread quirker and as the centerpiece to make things run smoothly Angel happily nodded and gave her a thumbs up. "That sounds totally reasonable C.L. I'll follow your lead on this! I'll take the seat on your left then if that's okay. I only sat in the middle of the car so I could give you both emotional support if needed. I trust your instincts."Once it was time to sit so that the twins could be brought in Angel took the seat on the left of Yumi and quickly flipped it around sitting in it backwards with her arms propped up against it in a casual manner and so that there was less strain on her back. She didn't want the twins to think she was just there to grill and antorogate them and so she thought trying to play the casual third member was her best option.

Feng was the last one out of the car before Yumi pulled her aside. What did she have to say? Did she notice her attitude on the rider there? Her heart sank a bit as she was pulled aside to talk. She wasn't in the best mood for any sort of lecture but she wanted to hear what she wanted to say to her. The look in her eyes could easily have been read as she looked like she was going to tell her something. So might as well see what she has to say to her. She made no effort to force out responses as she made it more of an effort to listen.
As Yumi began to speak about her wrong choice of words and pep talk due to what they're about to do. Much of it didn't hit her immediately until she started to think about it. She isn't the only one choked up about this situation considering that the girl in front of her spoke to one of the girls in question. Everything up until this point had been easy but this is going to be the hardest thing for most of us. Forcing a smile would only make things worse as a matter of fact. Some of her anxiety started to go away as Yumi went around and rested her hand on her shoulder.
Feng couldn't find the words to say as Yumi continued with her talk. As she continued, more and more of it started to make sense. Introspection is good and all but letting it get in the way of the important thing in life is only going to make things worse. Thinking about her goals, intentions and dreams in a time like this would be inappropriate to say the least. She has her own goals of becoming a hero who will dance across the skies...that's what she wants people to see her as. The last part of her talk caught her as it brought her back to reality, we are not professionals, we are still students and what's most important is that we have time left. Brooding about the future and the like could be done at any time but she must focus on the now if she wants to move forward. Feng took a deep breath and exhaled to recollect her thoughts and looked to Yumi and simply said, “Thank You...”. She isn't feeling better, not one bit as it doesnt change what happened to her. But it helped her regain her composure and focus. To keep her stoic and calm face instead of forcing a smile would do just fine.
The girl in front of her is more of a hero than her. Her words were not sweet or music to her ears, but words of hope for the future. Something that has been on her mind for a while as of late and much of it feels uncertain. Unloading her personal problems onto her wouldn’t be right for her, but the words said did provide her a resolve to see what lies at the end of the road for her. “I don't know what else to say...but thank you. After this is all done with ...I have a favor to ask of you if you don't mind…”,She asked Yumi as she walked along beside her. This felt...nice in a way but this is something that seems so fleeting. They have a job to do and the duo headed inside. Feng facial expression softened up quite a bit and a heavy weight on her chest got lighter. But then came the issue of the twins and their situation. Considering what the social worker told of them, it's a 50/50 on the chances that we learn something huge. But that never stopped her before at least.
Security Checks were a common thing in places like this and especially important considering the individuals were housed here. Luckily for Feng, much of her outfit and work is done without many gadgets. Though the detector did go off but that could be sidestepped by her mutation. But the look on her face was priceless as she heard it go off. It went off without much issue and the group followed to meet the twins social worker.
Feng did not have much to say as she wanted to save her breath with the actual suspects in question. She did however listen to their various rules and regulations about the meeting and what they do. A bit much but also necessary considering how volatile these sorts of things get and that's without the quirk part. So keeping a lid on her emotions is going to be the biggest thing here. Remaining calm and composed is what she knows best and by god she will do this till the end.
Angel went and took the seat that was to the left of Yumi, so by that end Feng went and sat in the chair to the right of Yumi. She sat in a professional manner as to not do anything that would provoke the twins ire and focused only on her questions. Without Hachi’s presence, Yumi was the next in line to be the center. None of us could actually be leader but Curved Lightning was the first to make the call. So she kept her cool and waited patiently for the twins to come out and meet them.
Though the tension in the air could be cut with a knife if one could be honest.

Masago Iseri nodded, remaining quiet while the girls organized their seating arrangements. Although it was not phrased as a question she spoke only when Yumi made her guess. " Kamei-san is not the woman you fought, if I am remember the police report right. Kamenashi-san has a thread-related Quirk, so yes, she is who you met." " I will tell the guards that you are ready to see them." With one more bow, Masago stepped through the room and exited from the door the four of them hadn't entered from; the one next to the one-way mirror. A short five minutes passed in the room. It was quiet in the facility, but not in a way that specifically unnerved those inside. It felt tranquil. Although it was still a place full of at-risk or criminal youths, it was also a school, and it was trying to do all it could to show the latter rather than the former. When the door finally opened a guard came through first, giving a nod to the three heroes-in-training, and then he stepped aside for the two women to walk in as well. Kamensashi Katoaka looked as much as the trio may have remembered her: a eerily pale, fairly thin woman with few defining physical traits, except for her unusual eyes. Her eyes were entirely white, lacking in a visible iris, and her pupils glowed a faint, luminescent violet. Her hair was short and black and neatly-kept. She stepped in and met Yumi's gaze first, lips twitching not quite into a smile, but something resembling one. An attempt at a smile. Following behind her was Kamei Katoaka, and...well, it is redundant to state her appearance, because it is entirely identical to her sister. Apart from minute differences in how their hair fell the two were indistinguishable from each other. Kamei did not look up, though, from her feet as she came into the room. As the two of them took her seat she kept her eyes focused on her knees rather than on anyone. Their clothing was, perhaps, the most unusual thing about them at a first-glance. Even at this distance it was clear neither of them were wearing clothing made with cloth. It wasn't form-fitting but it was clearly made with something like latex or rubber--a precaution, perhaps, against the thread-manipulation aspect of Kamenashi's Quirk. But while her sleeves were elbow-length, Kamei's extended all the way to her finger-tips, entirely shrouding her hands. " The meeting will go for one hour, or until you request it to be over," the guard spoke the likely well-rehearsed line, " If you need anything, you have been told what to do." He then exited the room the way he came. The girls were alone with their apprehended criminals. There was silence for a half-minute, before Kamenashi's small smile tried to grow a little wider. " ...I...can't believe you actually came. I mean I wanted to think you might, but...I wasn't sure what to think when they said you were trying to get in touch with this place. I...thank you." Kamei snorted softly. Kamenashi looked at her, smile waning. " Don't be thankful yet." Kamei looked up finally, eyes landing squarely on Angel and staying there. Her expression was unreadable. " How's your finger, wings?" Kamenashi opened and closed her mouth, then returned to looking forward. " ...sorry. She didn't want to come. But I talked her into it. So she's...probably going to be a bit..." Kamei reached her arm out to pat Kamenashi's elbow with the sleeve-covered back of her hand. " I'm being nice."

Back outside with Feng, Yumi held back while she gave her own response, her eyes widening a little with some surprise as the girl said she needed to ask a favor of her later. Beyond their internships, Yumi didn't have much direct interaction with Feng but, from what she'd caught wind of, Feng was good friend's with Red's own little group of connections. It would be nice to see if she could find the time to become more genuine freinds with Feng herself, but in turn, she wouldn't push such a connection either. In this case, she was given a strong in, and one that, even if she wasn't looking to make friends, she hardly would have turned down either.
"Yeah. Of course Feng. Whatever you need." She'd offer her hand back, and if Feng took her own she'd give it a brief, reassuring squeeze before letting it go and heading in after Angel, just giving some reassurance rather than walking hand in hand like children. "Just remember. We're only human. Don't gotta be perfect on the first run."
Back in the present of the visiting room, with the social worker leaving them Yumi took her seat and watched as Angel called the seat on her left...and Feng tried to take the same one. "Er, Feng I think Angel just got dibs..." She'd let the girls sort it out themselves beyond that, it wasn't like the two of them had any reason to be specifically on her left. In fact... "Actually, Feng, you come on my right yeah?" She could tell Feng was struggling the most with the situation between her and Angel, so that felt pretty appropriate. Once Feng was sat on her right, she'd lower her voice for the girl to hear alone and whisper. "I'll keep my right hand under the table. If you feel uncomfortable, need me to take hold of the conversation, or just need to pull out of the conversation... just give my hand a squeeze. Sound good?"
Maybe she was...babying Feng a bit at this point. She didn't intend to whatsoever, but with how uncertain she'd seemed Yumi just wanted to give her all the support she could. With the offer given (and she'd accept Feng's decision if she said she didn't need it), Yumi would turn back to the door on the opposite end of the room, waiting for the girl's to be let in.
She took note of what they were wearing, and briefly glanced between the girl's to her own sides too. She herself had a costume made of a special rubberized material with mechanical wiring sowed into the fabric for her quirk so she was pretty safe, but she'd be curious of her two companions...should be fine right? Wouldn't have let them in here if either of them were a flight risk here, so her worries quickly faded. She absolutely trusted Kamenashi. Or, rather, trusted the girl as much as she rightly could given the trust Kamenashi gave her in turn.
Once the girl's sat, Yumi wasn't about to be the one to break the silence, and was glad the girl's did so themselves, offering them each warm smiles, even when the needle sister seemed to not have the same good will her twin did.
"Heh. Let's not beat around the bush eh?" She began. not the most professional beginning but...this was what she wanted out of her self image as a hero. She was going to be a professional, but beneath it all, she was still human, and in a moment like this maybe being a human first with a professional finish around the edge was the best approach. "This isn't an easy situation for anyone here, so...being nice or not, we're not gonna hold it against you, and heck, other way around? If we're the ones to say the wrong thing? You're entirely free to hold it against us. We're the professionals here, we're the ones who kinda...dragged you out here to see us, and for lack of a better way of putting it...we're also the ones who locked you up."
Her eyes turned down a little there, rubbing the back of her neck, but soon enough trying to meet their gaze again. "But... I am glad I'm getting the chance to talk to you both. The er-" She gestured idly to the door they'd entered throug. "Social worker informed my friends of your situation and they've also heard my side of things." She'd watch Kamenashi's reaction, hoping she didn't cross a line in doing so, before turning her eyes to Kamei. "So hopefully we can all be a bit more open about the matters at hand here too...we didn't have the full picture when we first met and...heck I don't think we'll ever have the FULL picture, all you guys went through and all that, but hopefully we can all sit a little more steadily on the same page yeah?"
She'd just give that a moment, gauging the two girls reactions to her introductions. She'd also give Feng and Angel a small glance each before offering a simple first question, hopefully bring things a little more down to earth, and just get a normal flow going between them all, while opening the chance for Angel and Feng to speak their own questions or apologize for lashing out or...whatever.
"So...how have you two girls been? I know it's hardly the most pleasant place to be but...I hope they're treating you both well?"

O nce the three ladies were left alone it wasn't long until the two young, identical but vastly different twins walked into their room. As they did Angel made sure to take note of their outfits which seemed to be made of a rubber like material which was quite the smart idea considering that one of the twins could control cloth like materials. Once the two girls were sitting and Kamenashi thanked them for coming Angel just gave the cheerful twin a thumbs up and a big grin as she nodded to show that it was no problem at all even if the grumpier twin wasn't really into the idea. "It's no problem at all! We're glad to be here to check up on you girls."As Kamei finally looked up and locked eyes with Angel and asked how her finger was Angel raised an eyebrow for a moment until she realized that she had tried to poke the rather irratable twin and ended up getting stabbed through the index finger for her trouble. In response Angel held up her index finger and wagged it playfully before resting her arms on the back of her chair once more making sure to keep her grin on her face especially when looking at Kamei as she seemed to be the one in need of a reassuring smile. "As you can see it healed just fine! Thanks for asking! It was indeed nice of you."Before long it was time for the small talk to end as Yumi took point on the conversation as the defacto leader of their little trio. Angel quietly while smiling softly listened as Yumi explained that since the situation wasn't the easiest to be in the heroes wouldn't hold anything negative said to them personally, but if the twins wanted to hold the professionals screw ups against them they could. She then continued by saying that she was happy to see them and that the social worker had explained their backstory to Angel herself and Feng so they were all on the same page. Overall Yumi was doing alright in terms of introduction and breaking the ice and so as she looked over at her Angel gave her a reassuring smile and nod. Once Yumi asked the twins how they were doing Angel decided on her two small first questions and so she sat up against her chair and rested her hands on it. "I just have two small beginning questions just to break the ice ya know!? First of all even though this isn't the best place to be is there at least something you find entertaining or fun like an activity you like? Secondly have you given any thought to what you'd like to do once you get out? I bet between the two of you,you could start a pretty rad clothing business! You could specialize in specialized quirker clothing."They weren't the most hardcore questions, but Angel wanted to try and keep things a bit easy and light to start as she didn't want the twins to feel as if they were only there to grill them for answers. Angel wanted the girls to trust them as you caught more flies with honey then with vinegar.

As Feng sat next to Yumi, she heard her words and it was...relieving to hear to say the least. Though the proposition came out as a bit odd at first but in her current state, it'd be best for her to take the reins on this. Her outburst at the scene was enough of a lesson on her temper and her current state is a bit cumbersome for a situation like this.
She gave it some consideration and nods in agreement. Her words and attitude are going to be too stiff to say anything conventional. A mental note was taken as she waited for the arrival of the two girls. Her heart was beating like crazy as the nervousness was immense. She could feel a loud ringing in her ears from her previous encounter but it soon subsided. Her breathing was going in between panicked and relaxed as she needed to be strong to face the two suspects. They were soon escorted into the room and there were many details straight that piqued her interest. The material is what caught her eye but that could be due to the milder one’s quirk. One can assume they are handled accordingly considering their abilities. However this is a check up and not an interrogation.
She listens listens to the girls banter and it was what one would expect. Though the threaded one was a bit more welcoming, could be Yumi’s doing on that part. The needle one was expected to be antagonistic which did not help her at all.
But of course they would react like this as we did kinda stop their plans from killing a man who was by all means, a bastard. Even then they dragged in innocent lives in the process and got some of us injured. But the first step of reconciliation is admitting fault and antagonizing them is going to do her no good. Its crazy to see that they are barely older than us and yet they are already like-
What the fuck? What in the actual fuck? Why in the hell do you just open straight with that sort of thing? Are you...are you even trying to be normal with them? Of all things you choose to say, you chose the words that would get the most agitated response possible. Can’t read the atmosphere? Can’t you see what we are here for? She doesn’t now where Angel is coming from but this clearly going to end well if we left that question floating in the air. Feng’s shot open as she quickly looked to Angel with a frightful expression, one full of agitation and anger. She wanted to slam her fist onto the table but that would be too much but she took a deep breath and said her thoughts in a completely blunt manner. Hachi may not be here and Yumi is taking the lead, but she will not stand by and chance to reconcile happen due to a careless question. Just because a pro isn't here to talk for us doesn't give you free reign to run your mouth. She would inhale to calm down but it only helped a bit as her next words were as blunt as possible. Her mothers cold glare could be seen on her face as looked at her fellow internee.
“Angel. Could you please stay quiet and let Curved Lightning ask the questions. I understand your excitement but we are here to talk to them and not ask them about their personal lives...in essence could you please listen to them and talk when you are asked to...”, Feng said in a stern and held back tone. She wanted to yell but that would make things worse but this was the best she could do.
Another deep breath and she turned her attention to the twins with a softened expression . “I apologize for my associate's and please dont mind her questions...We are glad you are doing well and I...hope the damage i did wasn’t too bad”, she said but her eyes were at Kamenashi. In the brief pause she closed her eyes and turned her attention to Kamei.”... I apologize for my outburst at you when you were in the back of the car…it was rude of me...”She finally said in a restrained voice. It didn't matter if she was forgiven or not but she felt the need to get it off their chest. Yes they were threats to their lives but knowing their situation and finding empathy in their plight, she might as well say it so she wont regret it later.
Though in her heart, her words may not be enough considering their current situation and the ruling hasn't been decided yet. But she has to try at least. She would sit back down and let Curved Lightning take the wheel and see where this conversation goes. Her eyes would close for a second to regain her composure. Her temper got the best of her but she didn't explode at least.

There was a small flicker of her lips downward, but Kamensashi didn't let her smile fade through Yumi's words. It was probably still difficult for her to be spoken to like this by people her age or younger, but she held much more respect for the three heroes-in-training than she would another teen. Kamei didn't seem half as impressed, still keeping her head down and eyes leaving Angel as soon as she said her finger had healed up. She didn't say anything to follow it. " That's one hell of an opener," Kamenashi spoke, her tone somewhere between amused and awkward. " Yeah, I mean I told her it was alright to tell you guys, but I...figured you would have told them, too. Not in a gossipy way but, like, as a professional, especially after what you said when the cops were pulling me out." Her eyes flickered to the side, brow knit tight together but still with her weak smile. " It wasn't...it wasn't like I was going to do anything then." Kamei gave her sister a long, hard look, which her twin did not meet. Kamenashi returned to looking at Yumi instead. " It's not great. But honestly the worst thing is these," she held up her arm, demonstrating the sleeve of the rubber clothing she was wearing, " I get the point of them but they chafe all day. I don't know how you do it with your suit." " But, like, it's mostly a school, just with more therapy and, uh, legal talk. We aren't allowed to share what we did or how long we'll be here with the others for safety reasons, so...nobody knows who we are, which is a relief...?" " It's better than prison," Kamei mumbled again. Kamenashi swallowed, then nodded. " ...y-yeah. A lot better. But..." Angel's questions had an almost immediate reaction from the quieter of the twins. Kamei's head rose up straight, her wide, white eyes drilling holes into Angel's own. At her side Kamenashi visible winced and reached over to put her hand on her sister's shoulder, squeezing it just a little. " What do you think we're going to do when we get out? We're going to be sent to real prison, like most of the other kids who get sent to this place. Don't you get how this works? It's not a rehabilitation center, it's a stop on the road to jail. You've just extended our timer to--" " Kame-nee--" Kamenashi hissed, and her thumb brushed over the skin of Kamei's throat, just below her jaw. The reaction was instantaneous. Beneath her thumb a trio of needle-sharp quills sprouted from Kamei's neck, their tips almost cutting through Kamenashi's skin--almost, but not quite. Like a well-trained reflex Kamenashi pulled her body away from her sister, eyes now staring at her instead. Kamenashi brought her thumb to her mouth, sucking on it, and glanced over her shoulder at the window. At the angle that had occurred, the headrest of the chair had blocked the window from seeing her Quirk activate. She knew this. Kamei retreated back into herself, teeth audibly grinding. But she didn't have the same anger in her eyes as she had before; it was replaced with wide-eyed bitter shame. " I...I'm sorry, but that's not something we can agree on right now..." Kamenashi spoke around her thumb. She gave Feng a slight nod. " No, no, it's...I mean, I've taken a lot worse than a few burns, but you did break something. It's fine, though. I'm knitting myself back up just fine. And. It's not like I didn't...deserve it, yeah...?" Kamei only shook her head. Kamenashi sighed softly. " ...Kame-nee...you said that the one thing you wanted was an apology out of this, you got one. At least acknowledge it? I'm sorry about her, she's not...not taking this as well as I think I am? She's still..." " Don't." " ...fine, whatever," Kamenashi leaned back in her chair, dropping her hand into her lap. The pad of her thumb had tiny but dark purple bruises on it, despite the light touch. " Can we ask question, too? That might help a little...?"
