Dire Rescue - Group A

Well that was a rush of adrenaline, if one were to be honest with themselves. Another thing to boast to his sister: he helped a shark like humanoid being drift a harsh 90 degree left turn escaping from a masked being whos dead set on killing them. All part of the show, of course. Not the sudden rush, that was more of an improvisation in order to keep themselves alive and stuff. You know, normal stuff to consider when training with a pro. Speaking of which...who was this pro? He has some time to think about it while keeping an eye out for them while Yuuto and his shark buddy climb up this slight incline. He continues to keep watch while holding onto the teddy bear with his quirk. Man...the first month he was here he would have been exhausted from this continuous usage. Maybe its because he uses a lot more than he really should have.

So then, who was this pro? Let's see here, running through the mind file- ah right, he has poor memory. This will be a struggle. Well then, a bulking orge like being gives off the impression of a pro mainly focused on physical activity, and there's a couple out there who do that both in their school and out of it. However, we must cross out the school part, since it's already known. But that just crosses out the most of the pro hero 'chosen ones.' Hmmmm...hmm? Ya know, she looks a bit pre-occupied. Perhaps it was due to the rush they were swimming, but he could have sworn he heard a weird noise. Perhaps that was Shizume's plan: to act as an occasional gap between their paths, keeping her occupied and such. Wonder if that will last lon- Oh she's going full ham with that ball. Hmm. Tha-that's something to be worried about. It has decent range so they should...they should reaaaaaaally get going or else she'll throw that ball towards them.

And then what else? He shifts himself to see whats ahead as Razor continued to climb. Lots of vehicles  in their path. "Hmm...if we zigzag through those cars, it';ll give the villain more area to jump around between, but we wouldn't have to narrow ourselves to a mad dash once we get to the end of this path. Maybe we should do that...hmm. Do you got any ideas, Samojim-Samejima?" He slightly stutters as he holds his grasp on the shark and the bear even harder. Right now he's just the cargo, not much he can do. Shizume at the very least is keeping them distracted, while Yuuto is, again, doing most of the heavy work here. All he is right now is a glorified babysister for the teddy bear, who is still soaking wet after that brief extreme drifting experience. Hmm...if push comes to shove...no he'll think about that when it comes.

Was that a yell? Was she actually weak to sound attacks? Looks like it had some effect after all but holy fuck that was a god damn yell if he ever heard one. Distracted me for a second there but good christ that was a scream. Did Shizume halt her advance at leas- oh god the sound afterwards was not a good follow up. That was not a good sound to hear after that yell. It was distant but oh good god I don't wanna be near that. Was that the sound of a large object getting smashed into the side of a building?

Don't look back… Just don't look back and everything will be alright. Just don't panic and keep on climbing, it was getting easier and more focus was now set onto what to do next? The exit is still quite a ways away but even a moment of hesitation will result in the villain catching up. Maybe cut through the buildings? Risky and it’ll hide him but once he is found, he’ll be easily cornered. Continuing on my normal path would be suicide to say the least as the villain could easily get the drop on him at any time. Decoys? Who else to use aside from the person on his back but he's holding onto the dummy. Do I risk it all and climb onto land so I can have better footing or continue to tread dangerous waters without a solution or an idea in mind. Shizume's sacrifice will not be in vain and we just have to continue on to the best of what we can do.

Who the hell is this pro?! What kind of move set allows them to do this much damage without ease? Who the hell did they conscript on something as asinine as this?! What are they paying em and what is the reason why they asked students to do this!? Too many questions is going to go in circles and he needs to think stop and figure out what to do. NOW!

“Come on, come on, COME ON!”, he would yell out in frustration and panic.

Keep on climbing and everything will be fine. Keep on climbing and everything will be fine. I gotta move in a zigzag pattern and everything will be fine. But with that attack taking the attention off him for a second, he had enough time to reach the top of the rubble and see a path that was sloping down. It was an easy action so far as Razor would make a mad dash down the slope and hopping from rubble with some caution. But each movement got more frantic as he was still in range of the villain. Yuuto held onto the dummy as the summon picked up speed to the point where he can jump into the water without any slowdown.

As he would approach the water and jump straight in and would immediately start swimming straight ahead as he would try and find an opening in one of the buildings to hide in. Electing to stay out in the open is downright suicide and better to have some form of cover than get sucked into another whirlpool again. Speeding ahead, his eyes would dart for any entrances in the flooded buildings. Dozen of them were open and at this point, might as well do it. He would make Razor drift and jet into one of the flooded factory entrances. If the memory serves him right, then he doesn't need to use the standard path he was taking and just find a shortcut through the concrete maze.

“Hold ON!!”, he would yell as Razor made a hard turn.

But as he drifted and held onto the dummy, Kaz would get washed away and left in the water. He didn't make a sound not did Yuuto have time to get him back as he had the dummy in hand. He’ll just leave him to get picked up by the medics and will have to go on from there. The worst case scenario but at this point, it will be a test of his brain and how well he can deal with a situation as shitty as this.

TLDR:
-Oh god Shizume
-Keep climbing and don't look back
-Get to the top of the rubble pile
-Razor ran as fast as he could and jumped into the water
-Swimming faster and looking for openings
-Found an opening and committed to the decision
-Yuuto and Razor Hard drift with the Dummy into the new path
-Kaz is swept away unfortunately
-Yuuto is now on his own with the dummy.

Now I’m the last one left standing, this is bad. This is WORST case scenario!

Yuuto would take a hard turn into another path and down a narrow path with another metal plate that is within view.He would speed up to cover more ground, but he was already at top speed so there wasn't else much to do aside from keep moving. Gotta keep moving, gotta keep moving, gotta keep moving, is all that he can think right now as he kept trucking along.

Maybe the villain won't notice if I dive into the water and hide, he would think as he would let Razor rest as he let the momentum move him along across the water. Floating along is the least effective thing he should do right now, but he frantically think up a plan to get out of this situation.’ Should I attempt to get on land so I have a better chance at surviving or just stay in the water and try and get out this way...here's to hoping that she doesn't make another waterhole to catch me again’, he would bounce back and forth internally as he would make another turn and swim near a building, a safety net just in case the villain does that shit again.

Yuuto would hold onto the dummy as he would create five plans set in place just in case anything goes wrong and it will. Plan A: Keep swimming and keep trucking on until he gets to the exit, which is impossible all things considered but call that wishful thinking. Plan B: he would get spotted, he would dive into the water and quickly jump out to climb the wall he is swimming next to and get to the roof. Plan C: If she catches on to plan B which she will, he would use all of his strength to jump into the water he has a head start on her again, hoping she doesn't slam him into the water like a volleyball. Plan D: If he got to the roof and then the villain would catch up, he would create a diversion to attempt to delay them and then BAIL. Plan E and the last option:...Fight the villain dead on and make a last stand..which is something he hopes doesn't boil down to. But god damn is he ready if he has to.

"...Lets see how long I can last on my own...might as well put up one hell of a fight if Im the last one standing...", Yuuto would say to himself as he holds onto the dummy. He could ditch it but the objective was to get it across and out of here by any chance so might as well keep up that end of the bargin. Safe to say that this will possibly be a recurring deal in the future all things considered so might as well get used to it now. Lets just hope actual people are easier to carry than a stuffed bear.

He could hear it, the villain was coming. They were fast and they were hunting him down. The villain knows where he is and it was only a matter of time before they caught up. Calm before the storm, the feeling of dread as one would know they would be found, the fear was immense with the fact that he is all alone in this fight. He could keep the tough attitude for so long but the fact that he has to take on someone that strong alone is...somewhat frightening to say the least.

But all sense of rationality would soon come crashing down when he would turn the corner to see the villain crashing in. Everything seemed to slow down the moment they appeared. Was it the ever present feeling of panic that was balling up inside his chest that decided to burst out? Was it the fact that he may have made several mistakes in this encounter and not expecting to be the last one standing? All of those feelings could be thrown out the window and into the raging flood of a river as he would snap out of his trance and would quickly try and find a way to get out of the situation.

His eyes would see the two balls in the air, one being in plain view as it was coming at him and he needed to act fast. He would use Razor to dive into the water and then cling to the wall with his claws. Underwater he would see the ball break the surface and fall to the deep...ONLY TO BE QUICKLY PULLED BACK UP. He would command Razor to start clawing his way across the wall as the water to pull them into the drain. “FUCK...COME ON!” he would say in his mind as he would grip the chain for dear life. He could barely see a figure falling towards the water and it wasn't a good sign in the slightest.

The plans are all a sham and he has nothing else to show for it. A through D might as well be burned in a garbage fire for how hopeful he was fine a situation like this. This villain is too damn strong and outclasses him in every shape and form. There was only so many things he could do in a situation like this but he clung onto hope with more ideas that had popped up in his mind. It was a gamble but he was gonna take it because nothing else mattered due to the fact that he knows he cant get away.

He would watch the blurry figure from underneath the water and then the moment they would make contact. He would let go as the figure would hopefully cause a massive splash to throw him up into the air and climb up to the roof. However he would be having a coughing fit due to the fact that he just did that and there's water in his lungs. He would take a moment to rest then get on Razor and book it. Where? At this point just any way to get the hell out of there.

“It worked, it worked, IT ACTUALLY WORKED! HOLY GOD IT WORKED”,he would say out loud as he would soar through the air. He was flying, he was actually flying and it felt like a dream. It all became a blur as he would land on the roof...or “land” with a resounding TOUCHDOWN echoing in his head. He more or less braced himself as he would smash into the roof and go into a roll. The civilian bear would be a bit scuffed up but it would otherwise be fine. A coughing fit would ensue as he would get the water out of his lungs, it would last for a few seconds but christ it felt like an eternity. He would get back up and see the pick up point lined with lights. His ears couldn't pick up anything as the sounds of a storm would blast over the speakers.

He would walk to the area in question with the target in hand, he was soaking wet from all the time in the water. Each step felt heavy as he would drag the teddy bear to the pick up point. His arms ached from strong current was, the pull of whirlpool still fresh in his mind. Tired but still standing as he would carry the teddy bear and secure it into place. Slowly being carried up into the ceiling, the storm like conditions would begin to fade. He would survey the area around him and found that the set was severely lacking some details but the storm did its best to cover that up.

That was the lesson, it started with three and now there is only one. It was a tough ass fight but he made it. Not the conclusion he had in mind but it was a victory nonetheless. Less a battle and more a chase of a predator and prey. A wave of relief would go through his entire body as would wipe his face of water.“That..was...more trouble than it was worth…”, he would mutter to himself as he would take off his jacket. It was safe to say that the entire experience was pretty unique to say the least.

He would hear a booming voice from behind him stating the surprise they had when they saw how his gamble paid off. He was proud of this achievement that he did a play like this...but he never did see the hero who was under the ma- “REDHORN?! THE HERO HE WAS UP AGAINST WAS REDHORN. WHAT.” he would realize as he would turn around and stare at the large woman from a distance who one could tell exactly who she was even from where he was standing. It wouldn't be overstating the fact that he was a fan of Redhorn. She was the embodiment of everything he wants to be and what he sees in a hero. And he just...did a massive play by using her power to his own advantage.He outplayed the number 1 pro by one move and...whoa. He would quickly snap out of it as he would reply to her statement.

“HELL YEAH I DID! WOOO! IT WAS ALL OR NOTHING AND THAT WAS A RUSH”, he would reply with a roar as he would put his arms in the air. He tried really hard to not lose his marbles but he couldn't. Just outplayed a hero he looks up to and she was dumbfounded by the play. WHO WOULDN'T LOSE THEIR SHIT, IT WAS BLOOD PUMPING?.His legs would give out and he would sit on the floor with a dumb grin on his face. He saw the bridge extend from the wall but he needed a minute to just soak in everything.

“If they had told us that THE Redhorn would be our opponent I would have dressed better,'' he would say out loud. He would rest for a few minutes before getting back up, albeit a bit wobbly as he would control his laughter. Just...wow. After that he would slowly walk towards the bridge, whether he walked next to Redhorn or went ahead of her was a choice he had but he walked with her. He couldn't say anything because he was just trying to control his inner fanboy as he was walking next to big names in the hero biz. He would talk eventually depending on the topic.
