The voice on the radio was smooth, strong, a masculine tone that carried every bit of professionalism as it did an oddly enticing suave flair. There was a faint buzz in the background, the real struggle as far as in-person journalism was concerned. Background noise was common place in his line of work and his interviewee seemed to have a similar patience for irritating things in their life. She smiled at him before he resumed speaking, giving him a charming look through a pair of pink, glowing eyes.
"Welcome back Strongheart Nation to another episode of Strongheart Talks! Today we have a very special guest with us! The absolutely stunning beauty before me is none other than Sonya Chernova who's been making a bit of a name for herself recently. Haven't you ma'am?" Came the unmistakable voice of Strongheart, a one-time vigilante turned radio personality who's broadcast is listened to by folk of every walk of life.
A gentle laugh follows his complement; "Thank you dear, It's good to be here."
"I admit I'm used to my studio, what brings us out to Tokyo Park?"
"Holding private concerts is certainly an honor, but there is something about being out here with the public that makes me feel... connected with the rest of the world," Sonya says.
"You have a big heart, Miss Chernova,"
"Please, call me Sonya,"
"Sonya. I hear that you've been getting involved in business as well. Anything you can tell us about that?"
Sonya lets out a laugh; "Oh I wish I could, dearie. You'll just have to see with everyone else..."
The interview continued much in the same manner for nearly thirty minutes with the two of them discussing everything from fashion to consumer electronics. They finally ended with a brief talk on the future of radio and Sonya's fascination with the new directions many schools are taking to help quirked students. It tapered off with that and eventually the crews and microphones disappeared, leaving Sonya alone to her own devices.
Freed at last from that particular case, and the fascinated paparazzi, Sonya did the only thing she knew to do to relax. Sitting at the edge of a fountain she drew out her violin and began to play. Was it a whim? Or another calculated risk? Only time would tell.

"Alright boy, I can't use my quirk visibly out in public, so we're going to work on some silent commands okay?" Haruuhi would tell the robotic dog companion that was running wild circles around the young red headed student. Haruuhi smiled as she found a comfortable looking patch of grass and sat down. She would playfully run the mechanical dogs face before making herself comfortable. She took in a deep breath then closed her eyes.
She cut off her own sense of sight so that she could instead focus on her quirk, on the radio signals in the air, and more particularly on Robodogs own unique signal. She was very accustomed to it, controlling him with her subconscious now for daily mundane actions. What she wanted though was a deeper connection with the mechanical beast. She would never become the kind of hero most people dreamed of being saved by. No dramatic flare or catchy taglines, she would always be the one at the back providing support... she had learned to accept that, and now she needed to learn how to become better.
With her eyes shut she reached out with her quirk, tracing the invisible line to robodog and easily making her way into his AI. She could make him move, she could make him bark, and with a bit of time, she finally managed to see through his eyes. It was a bit nauseating at first, seeing through eyes that weren't your own. Haruuhi shuddered before refocusing all of her efforts on her control over robodog.
Robodog began to run swiftly across the park, his nails digging deep into the ground under his paws so that he could sprint even faster. his ears were pointed up as he listened to everything around him, his tail wagging excitedly as Haruuhi could feel the excitement of the AI. She was living this moment through his body, so it was a very surreal feeling for her.
As RoboHaruuhi ran, he would come across a group of people with cameras and microphones interviewing some lady. Robodog did a quick lap around but would soon come to a slow crawl. Haruuhi could hear the radio waves these people were emitting with all of t heir tech, hear the interview even though robodog was still far enough away that he couldn't hear it with his own ears. The dog tilted it's head curiously as it waited at a distance. Waited and waited until finally the crew packed up and left, leaving only the woman they interviewed behind.
Why was this lady so interesting to the news reporters? To Haruuhi even her interview had been pretty boring. To find out more, robodog slowly approached the woman, head tilted to one side, giving him a inquisitive look as he investigated. He would get closer and closer, stopping when the woman retrieved a violin and began to play. Robodog sat down a few meters away from her, ear twitching when she heard the sound.
robodog barked loudly as she played, almost as if he was speaking. Problem was, Haruuhi hadn't installed a voicebox on robodog for her to speak with her own voice...

Sonya had been playing for several minutes, diving into a brief composition that she often played to relax her mind. The reporters had left and a few locals had stopped to film her on their phones. She didn't mind, they would post the videos to social media and her face would spread just a little more. She liked the attention and it certainly did not hurt her brand. She let her glowing eyes fall shut while she played, drawing out the song a bit longer until a sound nearly startled her out of her focus. It was fortunate she was so practiced, she kept the tune going even while the loud sound cracked the illusion of peace.
Her eye cracked open a bit and she looked for the source.
A dog.
She had to resist the sudden welling up of anger that began to blossom in her chest. Who would let their damn mutt off the leash and- her eyes focused a bit more, the glowing artificial lenses spinning a few more times while the creature came into proper focus and she looked past the shape of it. This wasn't a real dog. It was artificial and brilliantly made. She stopped playing and set down her violin, putting her hands on her lap and looking down at the absolutely fascinating creature. Who on earth had built this? ...and why werent they on her payroll yet?
She drew a loose hair from her face and stood up, taking a step toward the mechanical dog.
"Why hello there, dearie," She said, kneeling down a bit to get to it's level. She didn't know how realistic its behaviors were and she wouldn't be able to discern the rest until she met the owner. "Where's your handler?" Sonya asked, reaching out toward the creature. She made sure to keep her quirk well under control, restricting even the minor background radiation that her body gave off so as to not interfere with the machines internals. That was the last thing she wanted to deal with. | 353 WORDS NOTES

The robotic dog looked at her with its yellowed eyes trained on the violin that had been making such a nice sound only moments ago. A grunted huff escaped his lips as the music stopped, his eyes instead moving to look up to the woman's face once more. He tilted his head as she approached him, his ears suddenly standing straight up as he bolted back up to all four paws instantly. He looked intent, cautious as the woman approached him. He didn't run however, instead standing his ground against the stranger who came up and finally placed her hand on his head.
For a full minute robodog refused to move, taking in t he threat level of the woman now touching him. he expected harm to come to his body, but none came... that's when his tail finally started moving from side to side to start showing his contentment with the action. He let out another bark when she asked him where his handler was, but never once looked towards Haruuhi. he wouldn't give her away if she didn't want to be seen... though lo and behold the young redhead approached the pair at a jog, stopping inches from them and bowing her head towards Sonya respectfully.
"I'm so sorry, I didn't mean to let him interrupt. I give him a bit too much freedom sometimes." She apologized as she sent a mental command to robodog who immediately backed away from Sonya, shaking his head then running back to Haruuhi's side. He would circle the young girl once then sit down attentively next to her, his protective demeanor appearing once more on his frame as he stuck close to his master.

It's tail... wagged. It was so lifelike! She stared at it in fascination while it began to ease into the contentment that game with receiving affection. Another bark; even while its eyes remained fixed on her. What a curious little pup, it surely had a handler or owner somewhere yet it seemed keen on keeping the attention on itself. The corner of her mouth rose and her eyebrows tilted. A distraction? Certainly, an interesting way to distract the target; though this seemed more innocent than that. She couldn't allow paranoia to feed into her mind, twisting her thoughts. A huffing breath caught the woman's attention and she turned her silver head toward the bowing brilliant red hair that presented itself to her. Her eyes went wide. Beautiful.
The apology was all but forgotten as soon as it was spoken. Sonya waving her hand dismissively.
"O-oh! Think nothing of it, dearie," She offered, a bit of her accent coming through, "He is beautiful and so full of life," She said, looking down at the mechanical dog and putting a hand on his head, rubbing it one more time before turning fully to face the newcomer. She let out a small laugh as the dog backed away and ran to the girl's side. His movements were intentionally set to make him seem even more lifelike than he was. His attentive posture, his positioning, even how he circled the girl's legs. It was incredible. Sonya turned and closed the violin case; getting to her feet with a flulid motion. The two of them were about the same height, and could look one another in the eyes.
Sonya's artificial eyes swirled and readjusted to the new angle, lenses moving into position. She held out her hand; "Sonya." She offered as a way of asking for the others name. She had to know, she needed to know, who this person was and where this dog came from. | TAG WORDS NOTES

This lady really seemed to like Robodog, what with all the attention she was giving him. Honestly most people didn't dare give him a second glance, her robotic pup was pretty menacing if you didn't know the two of them. Which was good, that's why she designed him this way, but the appearance really was all thanks to Hanna.
Robodog's movements could easily be recognized as that of a police K-9's if you recognized their training. While the pup made no aggressive moves, the way it's body was arched by her heel, the way it's eyes were trained on the lady in front of Haruuhi suggested that should anything approach the young girl, robodog would intervene. Not that he needed too, this situation was far from dangerous, at least that's what she thought. Just some random person doing an interview in the park and playing the violin.
Whenever the woman extended her hand to her though, the girl hesitated before taking it slowly into her own.
"Haruuhi" She responded just as shortly to her introduction. She hadn't given a family name, so why should she?
"Sorry again to have bothered you, we'll be on our way" She finished with a silent command to robodog who seemed to relax and adjust his stance a bit, ready to follow her away from here. However, even though he's gotten that silent command, his tail started wagging a little bit again.

The girl's hand slipped into Sonyas and for a moment that dark, lingering instinct tried to shine through. It was only after a heartbeat of self control that Sonya was able to quash the desire that always lingered somewhere there at the back of her mind. Instead; she gave her best smile, "Haruuhi? A lovely name," She said, adding on the appropriate honorific for dealing with a younger stranger. Yet as soon as it had begun, it had started to end. The girl was eager to get away. Sonya wouldn't have that at all, she released the girl's hand and cleared her throat, nodding to the dog.
"Please, it's no trouble at all, I have an... interest in technology like this," She said, trying to think of the best way to phrase it, a little bit of her native Russian accent coming through with the hesitation. She quirked her lip a bit and tilted her head to the left and right before making a delighted face, her artificial eyes brightening a bit. "Ah! I've got it! Would you like a small bite to eat? No strings, of course, I would just like to hear more about you and your companion here. I'm something of a businesswoman and I get the impression that you might be part of my target demographic," Sonya said with all the finesse of the saleswoman she was.
She gave a pleasing enough smile and gestured to one of the small street cafes that dotted the park's routes. They weren't much in the way of style but they had tasty food and comfortable seats. | TAG WORDS NOTES

Haruuhi DID love to ramble about technology, mechanics and everything that went along with it, so the woman's invitation was extremely tempting. However if there was one thing that Haruuhi had learned over the last year at U.A was not to trust anyone that seemed overly interested. Not that she had trusted Bucket back then, but a repeat of that scenario was the last thing she wanted for herself. Then again, surely not everyone out there was evil, right? Some people could legitimately just be interested in her and the things she knew.
'Now where was all this interest when I was little' She thought to herself with a mental sigh as she looked down to the robotic dog. Robodog's ears shifted backwards as he sensed her worry and uncertainty. It seemed for a moment like she was ignoring Sonya, choosing instead to kneel down in front of the dog and cup his face into her hands, leaning her forehead against his.
<<I'm here to protect you this time, Master>> The dogs 'voice' went unheard, speaking through the radiowaves the two of them shared. The redhead would smile gently as she nodded her head, standing back up and turning to face Sonya once more. It was just dinner. If she picked somewhere public, then nothing could happen that wouldn't be seen, she she'd have access to many, many radiowaves in case of emergency.
"Sorry about that, I get a little anxious around people I've never met before. Sure, I love talking about my tech, so something to eat sounds nice. Can I ask though, why exactly are you interested in this kind of tech?" She wondered aloud as she would follow Sonya wherever she led, though trying to guide their paths to stay in the public eye.

Sonya watched carefully. Every interaction. Every movement. It was as if the girl had some sort of deeper connection to the machine. Was it telepathic? She'd heard of a technopath out there in the world but that woman was a villain. This girl had something else, something distinctly hers. She couldn't put her finger on it yet though. Instead, she honestly gave a bit of a smile when the girl kneeled to interact with her companion. No words exchanged between the two of them, but it still seemed like there was something of a conversation. Fascinating. She smiled regardless and inclined her head when the girl spoke.
"In this day and age I would be nonplussed if you agreed to dinner without at least a little hesitation, dearie," She said, her verbal tic tracing her words. She smiled a bit coyly though after that and winked; "As for why I like technology so much, look a bit closer..." She whispered, opening her eyes wide. They glowed faintly, and beneath the surface...lenses...dozens of lenses...spun and adjusted to every shift of light level around her to give her perfect vision no matter the lighting. The small whirr of the lenses was nothing more than background noise to Sonya at this point, but this close; Haruuhi might even be able to hear it.
"I'm starting a company and one of the fields I intend to get involved with is quirk-related technology," She said, and stood up a bit straighter; "My eyes are my lifeline and my inspiration. I want to give the same opportunity to all needy quirkers. Help them live with dignity..." She stopped at that. Despite the deformity. Despite the destruction their quirk could cause. She looked off toward the side of the park; "There's a cafe on the main street just outside the park. Care to join me?" | TAG WORDS NOTES

Thankfully the woman seemed to understand her hesitation well enough that she didn't press the issue. She simply noted how she had expected her to react as she did, then went on to explain why it was that she liked technology. She asked Haruuhi to look closer, and the girl raised an eyebrow as she couldn't help but think...
'closer to what... I don't sense any major radiowaves from her...' But there it was. As the woman opened her eyes wider Haruuhi caught sight of that glow and the sudden movements within the eye itself. Her eyes grew wide with wonderment as Sonya began to explain something about her company. haruuhi listened, but was still very entranced by those eyes!! She walked up closer to sonya, staring up into her pink iris' and tilting her head this way and that to try and get a better view of the mechanical workings inside. She couldn't get a really good look, as Sonya kept... frikken... blinking! The young girl instinctively reached her hands up to Sonya's face, her thumb moving over her eyelid to pull it up so that she could have a better look!
" Wow wow wow how many lenses and servos are in there? Did you make this yourself? Or who designed it? What can it do? oh can you see infrared? I think that lense to the left is an adjuster isn't it..? There's no radiowaves coming from it though... well not more than usual... this is...- ow!" Robodog had moved up to Haruuhi, biting down on the back of her shirt and pulling the little redhead away from Sonya so that she wasn't right up in Sonya's face anymore. Haruuhi blushed brightly when she noticed what she had done, bowing several times in apology.
"Sorry, sorry I got carried away... yes! I'd love to join you if that's okay!"

Haruuhi's sudden laser focus was more than just amusing for Sonya. She'd forgotten to stop blinking, so engaged in the situation. It came with the territory of having artificial eyes; blinking was a subconsious activity but one that she could stop doing at will with no ill effect. The result in this situation was an overly curious and very handsy girl touching her face, her skin. Sonya's heart trembled just a little bit at the contact, it was a weakness of hers. Despite knowing, intellectually, that she had gained enough experience to control her quirk. To keep from melting the poor girl's skin. Even so, there would be the odd sensation of cold on Sonya's skin; her flesh being a marked temperature jump below that of a normal person.
Sonya's lip twitched just once, but she kept her cool.
"It was designed for me, though the designer took it upon himself to make some improvements..." She admitted, grinning politely while the girl held her eye open; "...actually it uses light waves to-" Sonya stopped when the dog was kind enough to pull Haruuhi away. Sonya let out a small laugh, the ire fading away into good humor. She didn't mind the sudden examination, curiosity was a good thing, and besides; she could use that intense interest later. She crossed her arms behind her back and glanced toward the path leading toward the cafe she had mentioned before.
"No need to apologize dearie, I'm pleased someone appreciates them besides myself;" She said softly, nodding toward the path. "Why don't we go then? I'll lead the way?" She said and started to walk, carrying her violin along with her. The path wound through the park before breaking out along the street that crossed by the area. It wasn't a busy street to be sure, to avoid noise pollution most business went around at least a block away from the edge of the park. That meant that the small cafe just outside was relatively open to business. It was small; with a few tables outside and a hostess standing near the main door with a pleasant smile on her face. | TAG WORDS NOTES

'lightwaves only?' Haruuhi thought to herself both curiously and suspiciously. Normally, any kind of electronic implants had some kind of radiowave so that they could be programmed remotely. As Haruuhi apologized to Sonya for intruding on her so much, she couldn't help but run over the design options for the eye, wondering how it worked, what extra little goodies were programmed in there, etc. it was the very first time she ever caught herself thinking she'd like to dissect something to get a closer look. Yuck! She grossed herself out with that thought.
"Right behind you Sonya-sama. Uhm... is it okay to... talk on the way there? I want to know more about this business you were talking about, and about your eyes, but I don't want to overstep my boundaries you know? I just get way over excited when there's technology involved, especially if it's something I can tap into and get a feel for myself. You should of seen me at the New Technology convention in Tokyo last year. I think I drove pretty much everyone crazy with how excited I became..." She admitted, smiling awkwardly as she and Robodog followed along just steps behind Sonya towards this cafe. It was easy to see that Sonya had her captivated, hook line and sinker. Haruuhi was going to be in this for the long run with the promise of tech.

Something in the girls expression caught Sonya as curious. It was like a thought had crossed her mind that she wasn't comfortable with. Sonya chastised the villainess within, ordering her to stand down. It wasn't the time to play that game. No. Sonya crossed her arms behind her back and walked alongside Haruuhi; a pleasant smile on her face and her purse hanging from her shoulders. The small case holding her violin dangled from her fingers behind her thighs. She cracked one swirling eye open and looked in the student's direction. "You want to know about my business? Aren't we enterprising?" She crooned a little, casting a playful toothy grin in her direction. The play on words making Haruuhi sound nosy.
She let out a breath and looked toward the path, not letting her gaze shift back to the girl. "Of course we can talk," She said, "In a few days I'll be launching a new company here in Japan. One focused on Quirkers like you and I," She began, making a dramatic gesture to the space around them, indicating a few others who were afflicted with quirks. "Cosmetics, Clothing, but more importantly..." She tilted her head and let her eyes glow bright, "Support Gear is what the heroes call it, right?" She gave a big smile and straightened herself out, clearing her throat. "My quirk destroyed my eyes when I was little. These prosthetics aren't as much as an upgrade as they are a replacement..." She said firmly.
"I was blessed in Russia. My father had a few connections, he gave me a chance to have these eyes. To see again. To see the world clearly. Japan is at the forefront of social advancement concerning quirk users. It is here that I want to begin my crusade to improve the lives of all quirkers..." She continued, walking around a corner before laughing a little. "I just get so... excited around technology these days, especially things I simply cannot explain. Your companion for example. I suppose you and I are a lot alike in a way mm?" She teased, gesturing to the cafe coming upon them.
"What would you like dear, my treat." | TAG WORDS NOTES

“Enterprising?” Haruuhi repeated out loud, tilting her head as she wasn’t really familiar with the word. She actually had to remotely access her phone, and boogle it’s definition. She internally gave a sigh of relief when she found out it didn’t mean anything bad… She trid to put it in context to see if there was any alternate meaning, but not truly understanding the word yet, she didn’t get the nosy jab.
“Oh, right, yeah I guess, sorry if that’s bad” She apologized again, hoping she didn’t suddenly get on the womans nerves. Funny how her opinion of her had so easily been changed with a few simple words of flattery, and robotic eyes. She was now more than happy to follow Sonya to the cafe and listen to her story about her new company opening up soon. She felt another well of excitement grow within her, wanting to explore every aspect of the company and work with her technicians to help build cool new things! It didn’t even bother her at all when she said she was born in Russia.
“You know maybe you should talk to the U.A school board. I’m sure their Support Studies students would go crazy over your company.” She stated, deflecting the fact that she was in fact one of such students. No need to admit that. If Sonya cared to know, she would find out soon enough. All the students were made quite public, so it was impossible to keep a low profile… She was then about to start talking about the tech again when Sonya gestured her to walk into the cafe, which she did.
She stepped inside without a second thought, followed closely by robodog who escorted them to a booth where they could talk in a bit more privacy. Haruuhi thanks sonya for the offer, looking at the menu and promptly ordering herself some bubble tea as well as a piece of cake. With that done, she would turn back to talk to Sonya once more.
“I probably wouldn’t be allowed to work or help with your company until I graduate… but I would really love to see all of the support gear your company is looking to make. I want to be able to make gear for more than just Heroes, so I’m really interested to see what you have. See, I have to use leg braces myself. I had uh… a past trauma that’s made it really hard for me to walk without them. I could have probably found something ordinary to use to walk, but these let me move like there’s nothing wrong with my bones at all, and they actually have little injectors here that help boost my agility. Not as cool as your eyes, but the more I learn I want to develop these, and other items like them. I know they could help a lot of people. I mean, beyond making money, that’s what you want too right? With your company I mean, is to help quirkers be able to be comfortable with who they are in your gear?” She asked excitedly. She had scooted to the edge of her seat, lifting her pant leg to the knee to show Sonya the leg brace that lined either side of the leg.
