Red woke up with a start again. It was that dream again. Originally, he'd only had it every couple weeks or some, pretty infrequently but....for the past week it had been happening non stop. Plus, it was starting to get more....specific. Before the explosion just out of nowhere, but now it was getting obvious that it was Mr Tall, Dark and Shithead that causing it somehow.....and for some reason now he had fucking wings all of a sudden. Still ended at the same point though, it was REALLY starting to piss him off....but eh, he'd forget about it in a few minutes. He did wonder what was causing it to pop up more thought. Maybe it was cause Yumi fried something in his brain or something after she nearly killed him, that was the only thing he could think of. After all, he barely knew anyone with wings, and the guy he DID know probably wasnt it, he cared more about coffee than doing anything like that, it felt like. Either way, he had to get fuckin dressed. After all, today was gonna be one of the rare times his parents left their lab.
For clarification, Reds parents were both scientists. His mum was a Quirk Researcher, and his dad just tinkered with quirk support gadgets all day. Technically he was classified as his mothers assistant since he never got a degree or anything, but he was good at what he did so no one bothered them. Now, thats all well and good, but there was a problem here. See, Reds parents...are terrible at keeping track of time. By virtue of either getting too focused on their work and being chunni fucks, they almost never left the lab, so Red and Blake had to pretty much raise themselves...and by that i mean Red had to raise both him and his sister cause she was a fuckin disaster. But, if you could actually manage to make plans with em, then they usually never canceled. Even if they forgot, you could just show up to the lab, remind them, and they'd drop everything they were doing to go do something with their kids. Sure, they werent exactly the best parents, but Red knew they cared and thats all he could ask for....well he could ask for em to be around more but eh, it was fine.
Anyway, today was a rare exception. Usually it was him having to go up to the lab and get his parents attention to make plans, but this time Dad had called and asked to meet up in Tokyo. Apparently, he'd been working on something to celebrate Red getting into UA, but he wouldnt tell Red what it was cause it was a surprise. Red asked if it was any of the things he'd already made, which cause his dad to almost demand him bring them with him so he could take a look at his sons handy work, but apparently it wasnt close to any of those. Red'd asked if Blake was coming but apparently she had exams or something, so it would just be him, mum and dad hangin out.
Either way, attempting to push his nightmares out of his mind, he'd do all the morning stuff, get dressed, grab a sandwich and then head out for the train. Still though....he couldnt stop thinking about that dream. Maybe it was just the anxiety of showing his dad his stuff or something. Or maybe he was just getting bored cause he was gonna be stuck on a train for a bit. Either way, he'd eventually stop thinking about it, and just get excited about the day. Maybe they'd set off some fireworks together, it was November the 5th, After all. Besides, that dream was unrealistic as fuck anyway, and the only guy with wings like that was a guy who only hung out in Kabus Cafe cause he got free coffee for some reason. Wonder how that guys doing anyway, he seems like a nice guy.
A few days earlier
Red had been helping out in Kabus Cafe again. He had no idea why he didnt just hire another guy, or get an actual repair guy to fix his shit, but he did pay him whenever he got called in so he couldnt complain that much. The place was mostly dead around this time of day though, the only guys in here were a couple girls that kept looking at him funny for some reason, some rando at the counter who looked like he'd been drinking since eight in the goddamn morning, and that bat guy in the corner. Must have been a friend of Kabus or something, always gave him free refills for some reason. The guy at the counter had passed the fuck out a while ago and was only just starting to wake back up, so Red would just walk over with the pot of coffee. "Hey, you need a refill before i leave?" He'd ask the gloomy bastard.

The scent of cold coffee wafted from the flask in Goro’s hand. It was disgusting, all the flavour and joy in the cup had left along with its heat, but he didn’t have a choice whether to keep drinking. After all, the sun was up. And he couldn’t just wait for the convenience of nightfall, as his observance of the lab before him had shown. There were too many people going in and out at night, too many working late into the evenings and only leaving when the early sun started to show. Any other day of the week wasn’t an option either; Sundays appeared to have the least activity of all, as a matter of fact, he hadn’t seen anyone head inside or out the previous Sunday around 2pm. As far as he could tell, the place would be empty.
The same had gone for this Sunday as well. Everything seemed to be going as planned. He’d contacted his allies to tell them the good news, and when they should show up. Parasyte was about the only one he trusted; he trusted Thunder and his spawn about as far as he could throw them, and Libra was a pure wildcard. There was a reason why he was only asking Libra to act as an outside distraction.
As the last few drops of foul bitter liquid fled their container, Goro swallowed and flipped his helmet back down. It was almost time. 1:40pm. He patted each ‘pocket’ on his suit, to confirm he had everything. They weren’t really pockets, more tiny compartments, but there wasn’t much else to call them. Tablet, check. Knife, check. Plasma knife, he still managed to fix it but check. Wing armour, already out. A folded up military canvas bag he’d just about managed to fit into a pocket, check. Everything was ready.
Sitting up on the roof, he thought back to why he was there. When he’d first heard of what lay inside, and the much better taste of hot, freshly-made coffee that’d accompanied it.
A few days earlier.
Goro had been seated in his usual spot at decesso. Another sleepless day, of nightmares of Mother impaling and mocking him, and frantic attempts to repair and improve the plasma knife, had left him in dire need of energy. He was so tired that he had no will to brew his own coffee, yet no desire to drink the instant swill he had for emergencies. So, decesso it was. It was the time of day that the place was usually empty, but it was different today. Not mysteriously, since the blond kid he’d learned was named Red was present. Girls seemed to flock to the place whenever he was, and even at this hour there were a couple who seemed to be checking him out. There was someone else though, a drunk seated next to Goro who he’d written off but who would prove to carry far more with him than cheap booze.
Red called to one of them, asking if they wanted a refill, and assuming he meant him, Goro shook his head. “I don’t need a refill, I’m fine here.” He responded, not looking over at the kid. He never did, and he was pretty sure Red had become accustomed to it.

"Alright, suit yourself then." Red would respond to Goro. It was the usual song and dance, the guy never looked at him whether he wanted a refill or not. He couldnt tell if the guy just didnt like him or was just too tired to care, he always looked like he was five minutes away from ending up like the guy next to him, albeit without the aid of booze knocking him the fuck out. He wondered if it was a side effect of his quirk, since the bat wings were pretty obvious for anyone with eyes to look at. Speaking of said drunk, he was starting to wake back up. He was still pissed beyond all belief but he was concious, atleast. Red would just tap him on the forehead with the pot. "Hey, since you're awake, you need a cup or are you good too?" He'd ask, and the man would just stare at him confused for a few seconds before offering his empty cup up to him. Red just filled it up, and went to get take the apron off and get ready to leave. After all, his train was gonna come in soon, and as much as he could just say he missed it, he'd rather be back at the dorm messin with his tech.
"...Hey, Hey kid, wanna hear a cool story?" The drunk would ask him, having woken up a lot more after downing half a cup of coffee. Red would just sigh, ignore the guy and head out the door, having already told Kabu he had to leave and makin sure everythin was good. He didnt figure anything this guy could say was as cool as hearing about a guy who was been to fucking mars and back, that shit was the hypest. However, little did he know, that this story would have more long standing ramifications than the annoyance of some drunk bastards incoherent ramblings.
Having not gotten the kid to bite, and there not really being anyone else in the cafe beyond Goro and Kabu at this point, the slashed lad would turn around to Goro and ask him the same question. Of course it didnt matter what Goro said, he'd start rambling either way as long as the guy didnt outright leave. And even if he did, he'd probably be swayed back with the guys next few words: "Fuckin kids these days.....dont even wanna hear anythin about quirk tech...." He'd mumble under his breath.
Assuming that someone took the bait, he'd continue to ramble on about what was in there. Of course, he was drunk, so most of it was incoherant, but some of it was relatively easy to piece together. They were doing research into a bunch of quirk stuff, like the varied effects it could have on the human body, the different ways that similar quirks manifested, how quirks could be passed down, mutate or outright fuse if both parents were quirkers, basically anything you could think of, it was being done there. The believablity of all of this actually being researched was dubious, after all, the guy was pissed out of his fucking mind, but the next part would probably prove hard to ignore, even if it was false.
"So.....theres this guy in there, right. I have no idea how the guy got a job there, but apparently its cause he's fuckin one of the researchers or something, i dont know, he's a fuckin mad scientist when it comes to makin quirk gadgets. he's got prototypes of like, of bunch of stuff, from his wifes or girlfriends research. They are both fuckin weirdos. Recently though, he's been workin on some weird cuff things. Its a personal project or something, i dont hear much about it, but apparently its something to do with supressing a quirk? Atleast thats what i hear about it, apparently he keeps doing tests with them and they are going well? I dunno, he only does em in the privacy of his own lab with his wife and they keep talkin in english so most of us barely understand a word they say. For all the rest of us know its just some fuckin fake project he's "Working on" thats actually just some kinky shit him and his girl get up to in the lab. Hehe" The drunk would laugh, pouring something from a flask into his coffee cup and downing the last of it.
He'd go on and on but other shit in there, again, most of it dubious to outright bullshit, but eventually he'd run out of things to say, get bored, drunkenly get up and stagger his way out the door. He'd start singing very poorly as he walked home, taking swigs from the flask as he went, painfully unaware of just what he had set in motion this night. He wouldnt even remember it, he'd just wake up with the most painful hang over in existance and have to drag himself to work against his will. He just hoped he didnt have to work with those crazy english bastards, his head was already hurting like hell.

In terms of company Goro would end up keeping at the cafe, Red was far and away the one he hated the least. Kabu was bearable, of course, for the sake of the coffee, but that old man was always acting weird; offering Goro free coffee that he always expected to be poisoned, making jokes that just weren’t funny, and generally acting way too friendly. He was a repeat customer, not his friend, for fuck’s sake. Who would’ve thought a former astronaut would be so desperate for company. Red, comparatively, knew how to keep his distance. Sure, he talked more than Goro liked, but the same goes for almost anyone he knows. Plus, there was something refreshing about hearing an accent from home, even if it was far from the Londoner accent he’d grown up with. A few times, he’d even managed to carry a brief conversation with the kid that didn’t make Goro want to kill himself; something about his skates when they’d broken down one day, occasional complaining about Kabu’s attitude, nothing that made them acquaintances but still.
Unfortunately, Red was not the one Goro would be pulled into a conversation with this time. Rather, it was the disgusting drunk still collapsed on the counter next to him. If he wasn’t so desperate for caffeine, Goro would already be up and out the door the moment the slob next to him spoke up, but he couldn’t walk away from the only thing keeping him conscious. Instead, he rubbed a hand down his face, trying to ignore the slurred ramblings invading his ears.
That was, before the drunk mentioned ‘quirk tech’. It wasn’t enough to prompt an actual reply from the bat, but it was enough to make his ears perk up. It was obvious the guy next to him couldn’t sense Goro’s interest, but he went on anyway, rambling just to hear himself speak. It made things easier for Goro.
Goro was the last person to take a drunk at their word, but there was something about the story that he just couldn’t ignore. The start was just mindless gossip, and for a moment he was tempted to give up on listening entirely, but the moment suppressing quirks was brought up, Goro’s interest was renewed, in a different way. Sure, this guy could be totally off-base, could be misremembering through an alcohol-induced haze, but on the off chance he were right, there was no way Goro could allow this research to continue.
The drunkard went on, and on, apparently unaware of those around him listening. The other people in the cafe had also faded into the background for Goro, as he listened intently to try and pick out solid details among the drunken rambling. Over the next hour, or at least what felt like an hour, Goro managed to get the name and location of the lab, the first name of the researcher, and the drunkard’s own name. More than enough to start looking into the subject. He didn’t show a single sign of listening, no nods or murmurs in response, but anyone looking would notice Goro was barely drinking his coffee. It took him half an hour to finish it, the lukewarm liquid barely registering as his mind was elsewhere.
Once the drunkard seemed to start going in verbal circles, Goro quietly excused himself, sliding yen and his empty cup to Kabu over the counter. His steps out of the cafe were slow and calm, but the moment he was out the door, he set off at a sprint, heading back to his hotel as fast as his legs could carry him.
Over the next two weeks, he looked into the story as much as he could. It was easy to verify the existence of the lab, and the scientist he’d been told all about, but verifying anything related to the Quirk-suppression research was much harder. It took days of constant research to dig up anything about it, and what he did find was locked behind paywalls or other nonsense, but eventually he found it. Confirmation that such amoral testing really was happening within those walls.
Then came the surveillance of the lab, for the next week, and gathering allies for the raid. And so things went, until the day came.
And now we’re caught back up.
November 5th, 1:55pm
Goro’s attention snapped back to the present with a start. It was almost time, the others would be here anytime soon. He couldn’t be zoning out right now, this job needs all his focus. He checked the clock on his tablet one more time, sent a notification out to his back-up, and took off.
It was time.

| if i'm a danger to myself Just think what I could do to you |
They owed him a favor, so it was time to return it.
That was his reasoning for agreeing to this. Yes, it was dangerous, and yes she was still in trouble for her little "stunt" at the docks, but this was another part of their work. Favors were good when they were owed but bad when they weren't paid. Getting rid of them as swiftly as possible was the best course of action. And Byeol-Su would have whined and screamed if he'd tried to make her stay home when her friends were doing something without her, so it really was best for everyone involved that she go. Or at least, him.
And if the lead was right, well, they couldn't let people develop something so dangerous. It would ruin everything. Anti-Quirk devices or formulas...
...trying to take away the gifts of others...
Sickening.
"See you in a little bit!" Byeol-Su hopped out from the backseat of the car with the excitement and joy of a child going off on a play-date instead of a raid through a mysterious laboratory. She kept the hood up on her "rain coat" as she made her way through the side-streets and alleys to where the meeting place had been set. Her deep violet eyes scanned the rooftops as well as around every corner. If Rogue was here already, would he be in the air? Ooh, maybe she'd get to fly more today, that would be wonderful! Even if things went a little bit wrong, even if they got a little shot at or something, this was going to be so much fun! All she'd had to promise him was that she wouldn't hurt herself. A little harm was inevitable.
That was always the risk of these sort of favors, but what can you do.
It's all practice for when we find...
She came to a stumbling stop, nearly going so fast that she missed the meeting place, and looked around and upwards again. Even "dressed" in dark colors like this she'd be easy to recognize to him. With how he saw, it was impossible to mistake her for anybody else. She knew that very well.
"Hellooo-ooo?" Byeol-Su whispered very, very softly, "Anyone here now?"

The location given to them wasn't the least of her worries.
...Eh actually, she didn't even had any worries about this, truth be told.
It's just some job that, out of boredom and some free time out of her schedule she managed to finagle into. It's a typical deal as well: Help out some guy on whatever he and his group wanted to do. Simple as that. As for the details, well...Alright, suppose there is one slight detail that she's somewhat focused about. Not much of a deal breaker, if she has to nitpick, but still something that can weigh down the mind.
So its a lab right? A normal lab? A lab can just have that? Those things that can inhibit a quirk? Wonder what else it has. Does it have chemicals that can sear the flesh? Does it have creations that can horribly disfigure someone? Is there poison to drink? Is she allowed to even be near them? Perhaps that's why she took up the job in the first place. Of course then it turned that she herself wont be 'inside' the lab, so...uh...there goes that Saturday night plan.
Maybe that's why the look on her face as she approaches the meeting place was more dour than usual. She won't even be allowed to drink chemical compounds that will utterly destroy her body. Boo. Of course, she's not outright in 'Libra mode' right now; she has some sense of common sense. Her dark-shaded glasses hide her partially activated quirk-enhanced eyes, the bright red hidden away by the dark frames within her glasses. Her huge red coat hides her usual outfit during these moments, and her ma-Fuck, she forgot her mask. She sighs out loud; she forgot the mask back at the hiding place. Damn. Guess she'll have to disfigure her face to protect her identity. The flesh will grow back in like...10ish hrs so its fine. She'll sleep at the hiding place if push comes to shove.
She carefully looks around at the place. Seems nice for the 'meeting place.' A small figure dressed in dark was looking up or something. She can pick up what the girl said. Voice sounds familiar...oh right its that girl that chest blasted that other kid. Neat trick, she still didn't get an answer if she can do that to her. Imagine, acid covered tendrils bursting out of her body. A small snicker came out of the usual calm Tachibana's facade, a sign of things to come.
"He's probably late." She jokes as she walks up to Parasyte, still looking all normal. No grey skin, no burning flesh, just some normal looking woman with a somewhat decent red coat. "I'm surprised Rogue hired you as well." She looks at her phone. Should be about time. Guess they came early. She looks at Parasyte. "Still, a big group has its benefits...Oh." She probably has no idea who she is. "Right, this is kinda weird. You actually never saw or heard me without the, uh..." She wonders on how to describe it. "The, uh...gray burning flesh and horrible screeching sound tha-that's my voice." She gives off a normal smile at Parasyte as she looks around, no outright name calling until she's sure its safe here. "Anyway...a weird mission, right? Outright 'illegal' manufacture of inhibiting quirks? That's about a couple fines and potential imprisonment. Taking it for 'ourselves' is also risky for even more years of imprisonment, but that's the inherit risk we've became used to. Right, DarkOut?" She says, hoping to hear an answer out of him. Who knows, maybe he's up in the air landing and started to hear their conversation. Or maybe it was another figure, the other guy coming in. "Well, whatever. I know my role in this. What are you going to do, kid?"

Goro spun in the air, once, twice, then glided over to the meeting spot. A back alley, close enough to the lab to keep a good eye on it while leaving the line of sight for anyone heading toward it. From above, he could just barely hear a car screech away, and a small shape leave the backseat and start to head his way. She was indistinct, but there was no mistaking who it was already. His young ally, Parasyte. It was a little shocking that she was coming alone, without a host to shield her from the outside world. Perhaps she was looking for Goro to host her again?
Rather than landing immediately, Goro chose to circle above, waiting for any other arrivals. Not that he didn’t trust the people he’d picked, but there was always the possibility of one or more of them being tailed, and he wanted to make sure it was all clear before showing himself.
Next came a woman that, for a while he couldn’t even recognize. It was only when she opened her mouth with a familiar annoying laugh that Goro was able to confirm her identity. Libra. For once, he was pleased to hear her, as the alternative would be an outsider approaching. Her botching his villain name, whether intentional or not, was enough to bait him out of the sky, and he nosedived down into the alley, landing on his feet only a few metres from the lawyer.
“Right, Parasyte, Libra, it’s good to see the both of you.” He gave them a terse wave, pulling one of his armoured gloves off and walking toward Parasyte. He offered his bare hand to her, clearly indicating for her to do what she did best.
Whether she did or not, he’d turn to Libra briefly, and smile under his helmet. “It’s unlikely for anyone in the vicinity to notice us breaking in, but if there’s even a slight risk of it, I would prefer to take measures to minimize it. That’s where you come in. You will serve as a distraction in… the way you usually act as a villain. Go and attack someone, I guess. Make it loud.” He waved his hand dismissively, and with that, he set off toward the lab.
November 5th, 2:00pm
Thunder's son was probably going to arrive any moment now, but Goro was done waiting. There was no time to waste on waiting for someone he didn't even know he could rely on. He headed for the side door, grinning to himself as he sighted the card scanner locking the secrets inside the lab away from the public. He could deal with that pretty easily. It only took a minute on his tablet to connect to the lab's security, and a moment more to unlock the door. Goro pushed the door open without hesitation, taking a deep breathe as the cool air from the inside rushed out and almost pushed his wings back. His heart was almost beating out of his chest, as he took his first step inside the building.

Hmm...he seems somewhat pleased to see and hear her in this state. Alright let her just change that. She pulls out a pen she had on her person and slowly presses it on her cheek in front of him as he continued to discuss the game plan with the two of them. Just blabbering on and on about stuff, stuff that is fairly obvious from the get go. Run in, kill people, and then run away while leading them on a wild goose chase. It all makes sense for her. What was he doing this for again? Special quirk nullification, right? There would be some security, prob. Nice choice choosing her to be the distraction, she would have distracted herself with the contents inside. Again, she would have super drank whatever vials there were. No regrets.
Did you know? Pressing a pen towards your face as hard as you can tends to hurt people, surprisingly enough. For her it's even worse as her face started to feel really sensitive, with the pen jabbing itself onto her cheek feeling more and more like a sharp knife slowly being inserted. It also started to turn her skin into a grey color with her veins starting to become more visible and turning indigo, with her eyes glowing more and more until they were bright red, with her pupils forming back. Her hair seems to be slowly growing and becoming disheveled as well. Goro was probably counting on this since he settled off toward the lab with nothing more than a dismissive hand wave. "CAN DO, BUCKAROO." She grins her usual grin as she slightly moves past parasyte, who would probably follow him. She pressed her acid covered hand on her face, slowly burning off and disfiguring herself for this job. "WELL. GOOD LUCK ON WHATEVER YOU TWO ARE GONNNA DO. AS FOR ME...IM GOING TO HAVE A LITTLE CHAT WITH SOMEONE. DON'T KNOW WHO, BUT WE'L SEEEEE." And she started to break off in a wild sprint.
November 5th, 2:00pm
Some people nearby the lab started to hear a noise. It seems as if a poor pedestrian, who was simply minding their business walking alongside this building, was suddenly grabbed by the throat and had their skin tissue slowly burnt away with acid dripping onto them. An acid covered hand slowly covers the poor victims eyes, and a loud scream started to fill the air. Distraction, right? Seems good so far. Some got worried and ran towards the source of the noise, only to see a wild haired woman wearing a coat and...what is wrong with her face? Her face looks like its been steam pressed, with her tissue on the left side slightly twitching- is-is it slowly regrowing? Wh-what the hell? She just lets out a small laughter as she pushes the man down. He's done. She stares at the new group of victims. Acid saliva slowly oozes off her face.
Alright then...let's have fun right now.

| if i'm a danger to myself Just think what I could do to you |
"Hm?" Byeol-Su blinked and turned towards the new voice, and was, for a moment, frightened that she'd been caught by a passer-by. She didn't know this person, did she? They looked so...normal. She continued to give the woman wide, worried eyes, taking a step or two back, before she explained who she was. Sort of. She described a person she knew, but...was this really her, when her Quirk wasn't activated? "Libra? That is you? Wow! I did not recognize you at all! You look so, uh, plain? What a difference!"
She giggled into her hands for a moment. "I am here as defense! Am here to protect and heal. Nothing crazy. Friend is on stand-by, too, if thing goes really really wrong. But doubt it will. We are smart."
A rush of wind turned her yet again towards none other than Rogue making an especially extra entrance, and in his full villain attire as well! She hadn't seen it in person yet, only in the television broadcast from almost a whole year ago. It was really something! He extended his hand, armor-free, to her, but before she took it as offered she had to walk a little closer and poke at the armor for a second or two. "Hello Rogue! So cool!! Do you have a com in it? Is that the word? Com? if knew that would have asked friend for a free cent see...freak..." she scrunched her face up in annoyance, "...radio word. You know what I mean. But still. Super cool! Cannot wait to wear!"
So without further ado she extended one needle-sharp claw and poked it into the skin of Goro's palm, easily piercing his skin. The familiar pull went through her body and, as they had both seen before, she was gone in a matter of second, sucked right up into Rogue's body, healing the wound on the way in. It was always easier for her to connect to somebody after the first time she'd done so; like slipping on a familiar coat that you could button with your eyes closed. Her eyes became his eyes, and his "sight" became her "sight". The alley was so much clearer now, despite it not even being that dark right now. Everything was just...there, visible without being seen.
It would still take a second to form a mouth, but she pushed a positive pulse over the bond so he knew she was settled in. And that was when Libra did her thing. Oof. Seeing that, especially the screaming and every little drip of bloody acid or whatever the hell was running through her veins, was not fun, especially not with his hearing. Yeah, there was the Libra she knew.
She would have wished her luck, but she doubted she would need it.
--
Her mouth had grown in just below Goro's ear once again, though it was a little bit smaller to make up for the helmet around them. She would need to be extra careful to be quieter while in here. She didn't want to hurt them.
"Can hear your pulse," she whispered, hardly a breath, "Do not worry. We will be fine! Will help our people by getting rid of these bad, bad things."

......Man, is this train taking longer than usual or something? Red would ask himself, looking out the window and watching the landscape roll by. He was fidgetin around a bit, his leg tapping against the floor as he fiddled with his quirk gear. Luckily, there werent that many people in his car of the train, and even if there were, all he was doing was messing with some weird custom skates at most to them, so odds are he'd be fine. He didnt know why he felt the need to double check everything worked, he'd already done this in the morning, last night, and the morning and night before......maybe he just wanted to make his dad proud with what he'd made for himself or something. He'd had to leave the hoverboard at home cause, well, it wasnt working just right yet, but he could always show it to his parents later. Who knows, maybe his dad could give him a few pointers on that front.......Plus, it helped to get his mind off of that damn dream.
He must have really been anxious about seeing his parents, because the images he'd been seeing for the past few days would not leave his mind. All he could hope for at this point was that seeing his parents being completely fine would just knock his subconcious into "Not being paranoid about your parents dying" mode or something, cause this was really getting annoying. After a while of checking all his stuff was good for the 15th time, the train car finally called out his station, and after a couple extra minutes of putting everything back together, he'd pull in at the station. Shaking any strange notioons of his parents coming to harm today for some reason he couldnt fathom right now, he'd set off for the meeting place his dad had told him: A park nearby the lab.
It wasnt the usual place they'd go to meet eachother, that was usually either an arcade or a cafe, but it wasnt far from there. They'd walked through it a bunch, and it was a really nice place......when you arent getting jumped by fifteen guys lead by a jealous moron, but he doubted he'd have trouble like that today. Besides, there was a nice set of benches you could play board games and chess on, so it wouldnt exactly be bored while he waited. Plus he could get back at his dad for all the times he smugly won at chess, with that fuckin grin on his face.....though he'd come close before, today was the day he was gonna kick the guys ass.
As he walked though, he wondered what his dad had made for him. It couldnt be anything like a sword, since he'd already said it was nothing like what Red had on him.....though he could have been lying about that, he was a chunni fuck after all. Maybe it was some kind of new way his dad had figured out Red could use his quirk. They had similar ones after all, it wouldnt be that much of a stretch to figure out. Or maybe it was a new add on to his skates or something, that would be neat. He'd keep trying to think of every possible outcome, only taking a break when he walked passed the lab in question.
For a second, he'd look up at the floor he knew they worked on, contemplating going up and reminding them that they'd called HIM out for today so they really had no excuse to forget.....but, for once he decided to trust em. Plus, even if they did forget, it'd only be a 10-15 minute walk back to poke his head in and see what the fuck had kept their attention this time. Either way, he kept walking. Eventually, he'd find his way to the park, and after a brief episode of getting completely lost inside it cause it was a bit big, he'd find himself sitting on a bench close by to a takoyaki stand, having grabbed some cause he was a tad hungry after that train ride.
He had arrived a bit earlier than he thought he had, considering it had felt like an eternity on that thing, but he wouldnt have to wait long. They had said they'd meet him around her at 2:30 PM after all, and that was only half an hour away. He'd have to pass the time with his phone until then, but it wasnt like they would just blow him off on accident again, right? Even if they tried he could just go remind em of what they were supposed to be doing today anyway.......
Dammit, why cant i get that damn dream outta my mind? He'd ask himself, his leg tapping again while he waited.......maybe'd he'd go check up on em sooner rather than later.....maybe.
