“bad-bada- badambapam-BADABAM!”
In a rundown little garage at the edge of Tokyo, just where the grand city scape started to rapidly descend into more suburb sized buildings and run down little homes, Axel was doing his best to stave off boredom. Ya think after what? Nearly 10 years being stuck without the ability to move or even so much as turn his head that the entire world wouldbe enthralling buuuuut…not so much. See in a world of quirkers still learning to be accepted by the average joe, mutation quirks tended to stand out and not get the best treatment. Least of all when your…physical differences were as extreme as his. Getting out and about wasn’t the easiest thing to do, and even then, WHAT WOULD HE DO!?
Oh suuuuuure for someone who could taste or eat or generally enjoy fresh air getting out and about was good for you, you could go the cinemas, hang out with friends, share asmoothie with a cute girl. For Axel? Not so much of that was onthe table. He couldn’t taste the fresh air against his tongue, he couldn’t share a smoothie with a cute girl, or even enjoy thetaste alone, and why would he bother going to the movies when he could literally stream shit from pirate sites onto his own face.
As he drummed his wrenches against the metal pipes of the engine he had laid on his work bench, Axel started to admit he wasperhaps just getting a bit…pesemistic? Was that the word. “Axel-a!” He called out, leaning back in his chair, a light ‘clink’ coming from his heels as he rested his feet up on the workbench beside his engine, continuing to ‘drum’ with his tools against the air as he did. “What’s a word for a ‘depressing world view’?”
There was a small boop to confirm his order had been received, a small black cylinder with frayed wires and circuit boards hanging out the back resting in the corner of his workbench, taking a second to respond, before doing so in something akin to a somehow more robotic version of Axel’s own voice. “I Think you’re lookin’ for pessimistic. ‘tending to see the worst aspect of things or believe that the worst will happen.’ That sound right?”.
The real Axel nodded off to himself, the drum beat he was air drumming out getting a little slow and repetitive. “Sounds right…”He mumbled back, somehow still able to give out such a tone without the lips to mumble through. He dropped his arms to his side, leaning further back in his chair, and letting out a deep groan as a skull and crossbones with a frowny face appeared on his screen. “That sounds like exactly what I am right now…”
Droppinghis legs off the workbench, he gave himself a hard shove along the surface, the wheels of his chair scraping along the worn, darkened surface of the garage floor as he managed to skid himselfall the way to the small office space in the other corner, tossing his tools up onto a small display rack on the wall before wiping off his hands to work with his computer. “Maybe that decryption formula I was running is done…”
See, while stuck as littlemore than a TV for years, Axel found his own way to make fun, and with the simplest of attatchments while the rest of his body was in the works, Axel rapidly began to learn how to surf the web, and approach some of it’s more…secretive avenues. Access to the dark web? Piss easy. Hacking into a mom and pop’s website to get a look at any illegal little back doors? Not a problem. Today…or, well, the past week, Axel had been challenging himself, trying to get into the backdoor of a new forming business, with a far more…’elegant’ manager than your average mom and pop situation. On the small appearances she’d had she definitely didn’t seem like your average little start up. More elegant and sharp-eyedthan you’re next mark zuckerberg wannabe…
In truth. From the look of her website, everything seemed to be on the up and up. A bit…overly ambitious for a new business, but he liked the sound of someone trying to dip into the quirker market with devices meant to aid both the average joe and quirker alike. Heck, he wouldn’t even be able to type on this computer if someone hadn’t helped him in a similar way…
But something had been bugging him. And what better way to calm his paranoia than giving it the answers it wanted.
“Still can’t seem to decrypt the backdoor of her site…let’s see how that password run is going…”
The benefit of big businesses like this is they typically came with contact details on their website. Since it was so new, it was only natural for the head honcho to be providing her own business email, which meant with a simple reverse algorithm on the password possibilites and a weekend to run…”Bingo!”
Scooting deeper into his desk as eagerness overtook him, Axel continued to nose about where he shouldn’t. At first, everything seemed fine, as it rightly should. But the deeper you let yourself dig, the deeper you find the rabbit’s hole was going before you even got there.
“Now these look a little shady…” Not shady on their own by any means, outgoing emails sent to seemingly normal emails. Casual ones. Onesyou wouldn’t look twice at. Clearly not professional but just using combinations of names and numbers…but when you did the kindof web surfing Axel did, you start to learn some patterns. These were proxy emails. The kind criminals funnel their business contacts through to dilute the trail…
Now, Axel could just…leave an anonymous tip. Open up the email account to the public, send over the files to the police….but he was bored, and he was sure a woman even willing to risk getting in contact with criminals wouldn’t be willing to give such a budding empire up so soon. He made sure to leave her an email, from her account, to itself.
Title: I’ve seen everything
- I’ve seen what your up to. You candeny it if you like. It’ll be a fun bit of back and forth, but how about we save ourselves some time and drop the game huh?
Email yourself back if you want to talk. I might be open to some…discussion, on what I’ve got here.
Sincerely
Hacker_Man
And now…Axel waited, to see if she was fun, or dull.

The new office building was not exactly the image of perfection that she envisioned. Then again, this was only the beginning. A small structure just for her and her growing business. She had a few employees to speak of and had finally managed to pull herself away from her work through the university. The violin was a beautiful instrument and one that held a very special place in her heart, but there was a time to let go of childish things and focus on acts of meaning. She leaned back in her chair, the joint creaking just a little bit as she adjusted her position.
Alone at last, Now what would she do next?
Her office was spartan in its decor. While it did not have the sterile white tones that she craved, it was still adequate for her tastes. The walls were painted white and the floors were an off-grey tile. Her desk was white and immaculate with little in the way of mess besides the few papers she had set out to examine. Spaced around the room were various outfits and pieces of equipment she'd either 'acquired', made herself, or had made by someone else. All of them were examples of what she was working on. Most importantly. There were no windows. She'd made certain to find a room with a great deal of artificial lighting and no exposure to solar radiation.
She was strong here.
"M-Miss Chernova?" A woman's voice chimed in over her thoughts. She glanced up from her desk, a pair of pink glowing eyes spinning inside of her head to focus on the woman. She wore the white dress that cut in a pleasing away at the thighs that Sonya had insisted upon. In her hand was a clipboard as well as a keychain that bore a thumb drive. Sonya held out a hand and made a beckoning motion with her finger.
"Hurry up then, let's see it," Sonya ordered. The woman nodded a few more times before approaching, placing the drive in Sonya's hand before waiting. Sonya gestured to a chair and she obediently sat down while her boss took the time to slip the drive into the port of her laptop and throw it open. She was about to open the folder that appeared on the screen when something else caught her eye. An email, with an odd title... from herself?
Sonya mouthed the words of the email in silence, her eyes growing hard. She snapped her gaze up at the girl and pulled the drive out, putting it down on the counter.
"Something's come up. You're getting an extension. Don't waste it," She hissed.
The woman did not dare take such an opportunity for granted. She snatched up the thumb drive and was out the door before Sonya could even make one more comment. Smart. Instead, Sonya looked down at the screen again, chewing on her thumb. Who the hell was this? How did they get past her security? She doubted that they had much in the way of information. Most of her activities were perfectly legal and above board. It was the few less than legal activities that she was testing the waters with that worried her here. She squinted. Or maybe not. What did this person mean by discussion? Was this blackmail? No. Something else. He'd have made demands.
Her lip quirked and she began her response.
Title: All's Fun and Games
Impressive. Let's talk. Do you have a suit?
Sincerely,

With his little project still running, more than a little frustrated that the his little bots weren’t doing well in breaking into the back end of the woman’s website, he was starting to worry he may not have had enough to work with but…well. A benefit of having a TV for a face was you didn’t really have any ‘tells’, if he had to meet this woman in person for any reason she wouldn’t have much to go on to tell if he was bluffing, and if he could get her to even hint at the fact there was more to their company site than met the eye then…well, suffice to say he’d have them on the hook…
If he could sweat, he would. His nerves were piquing a little…this could just be the in he’d been waiting for…
For now though, the woman did need time to reply and Axel needed to make sure his nerves didn’t fry a circuit. He kicked away from his work desk, the chair spinning about along the greasy floor of the garage, Axel hopping out of it and kicking it back with his heel so it slipped back under his desk. His head swivelled to his his modified ‘Axela’, pointing his fingers at it. “Axela? Play my favorites song. I got some work to do.”
The Axela speaker buzzed briefly to life before, again in a mimicry of his own voice, replied back.
‘Playing –Lone digger by caravan palace-. Enjoy the tunes you coolass lookin’ TV’
The finger guns Axel had shot at his little help went off with an approving smile Emote appearing on his screen before Axel headed over to one of the cars he’d been working on, placing his foot on one of the back boards he’d been using earlier to pull it out, easing himself down, and dragging his tools with him under the car to get back to work fixing the damn thing.
It didn’t feel like it was too long jamming away as he worked on the car before he got a response to the email. Rather than return to his computer, Axel drew his arm infront of him, popping open a small panel to reveal the screen of his laptop and a much smaller keyboard embedded in his gauntlet like armpiece.
Oooo. She was direct.
‘Re:All fun and games
Wow. Thinking I have a suit. I’m almost stunned I left such a good impression.
To answer: No.
I can aquire one however. Taking me somewhere fancy I hope?

The response came very fast. Sonya hardly had time to call up one of her aides to have them prepare a restaraunt reservation. The dainty thing was on the verge of a panic when she rushed out the door, the stern glare her employer gave was so intimidating. Sonya got to her feet, crossing her arms behind her back while the silence dragged on. It was only when a tone sounded from her computer did she turn and look back at it. Her frown creased her features further. Of course. She shook her head and sighed, how on earth could she expect everyone to have a sense of class and dignity like herself?
She strode toward the computer and began to type;
"Re:Re:All Fun and Games
The Corinthian in Central Tokyo. Eight PM.
You'll be pleased by the accomadations.
Make sure you are dressed for it."
Attached was a link to the restaraunts website and the address. She wasted no time after that, making her way out of her office and informing her people that she would be occupied for the evening. One of her aides made the mistake of implying that she was going on a date, to which Sonya reminded her to keep her inane slanderous thoughts to herself if she wanted to keep making designer clothes. Without preamble she walked to the small apartment she kept for herself as part of the office building, it wasn't far from her own office and it allowed her to walk through the halls and check on progress on her way there.
She threw open her door and crossed the threshold into the minimalist residence, making for her closet. It was best to make an overwhelming first impression. She'd learned that from her fellow villains. This situation was certainly no different. | 309 WORDS NOTES

Well well well, from her straightforward tone she definitely seemed like she wanted to be in charge of the situation here. And rather than meet him on his ground or some impartial place in the shadows, she was going for out in the open. Risky, but perhaps when dealing with these sorts of things it was best to put your face out there so no one could really suspect you in the first place. Axel was definitely looking forward to this…but the requirement of a suit was definitely something he’d need to look into…
“Hmmm…”
He’d rest his tools back on the ground under the car he’d been working on, a firm shove off one of the suspension points sending him rolling out from beneath the vehicle, and swiftly kicking himself back up onto his own feat, pacing back and forth briefly.
He had some options.
The first thing to jump to mind was to hijack an amazon order. Now the first issue is that he’d need to be lucky enough that someone was ordering such an outfit in his size, and through amazon of all places. Sure, with their heavily packed schedule, deliverers tended not to question their instructions so it’d be easy enough to trick them into delivering to his address. Buuuut, it also meant his address would be on their system if they every tracked back the system error…
He could use a fake credit card number and simply buy one online? Well, where the hell would he find a place selling a suit that would deliver before 8pm with time to spare AND not charge him way more than a fake credit card code could reliably be used for? Nope, definitely not an option there either.
He did have one more idea…it’d take a bit more of a time investment, but it was reliable, and had no paper trail he couldn’t wipe in an instant.
With a quick double check his hack on her company website was still gonna be running on his servers in the background, and locking the place up behind him, Axel was off, making sure to bring his satchel with him, carrying his laptop within. If he had lips, he’d already be wearing a subtle smirk with the clever shit he had in mind…!~
Sitting outside a local dry cleaners, something a little high end, but bordering on ‘family run’ in it’s level of expenses (basically dealing with high end clothes more out of good will than sheer quality of equipment), Axel had just been simply leaning his back against the wall, getting a few odd looks but a little too engrossed in his work. It was simple really. All he had to do was check the details of each of the orders. A lot of them were labled as simple shirts and the likes, but the fancier orders? The ones they NEEDED real tracking for? Those had details. And before long Axel was able to find something that’d just about fit him. It’d be a loose fit in the waist, but with his body, EVERYTHING was a loose fit in the waist.
“Order number…82…got it.”
He shifted a small code file over to his mobile phone and primed it for a single key entry to be executed. Hopefully he wouldn’t need it but it’d be easy enough to run if he did. The laptop was shoved away, and Axel moved inside, a light smile emoji on his screen as he addressed the counter with a more lack luster tone to his voice as he waved with his phone free hand.
“Hey er…I’m here to pick up order 82?”
The older, stern looking woman narrowed her gaze at him, and Axel thanked the lords that having a TV for a face meant he had one hell of an impenetrable poker face. Sure it wasn’t perfect, he could still unconsciously fidget or alter his tone, but when it was deadass stare vs deadass stare? It was hard for him to loose. The woman seemed to know what he was ordering, and didn’t believe him from that alone, holding out her hand. “Ticket?”
Axel gave a good show, holding up a finger and reaching into his pocket with some surety…then the other…then patting up and down his jacket. “Er…crap. Don’t seem to have it on me but-“ He’d lower a hand under her view across the counter, and swipe his thumb across his mobile phone. His file executed within the next few seconds. His access to their equipment had the rotating display rack they kept their orders on hit high gear. Not enough to damage anything, but easily enough to get the old bat’s attention, listening to her curse in some vaguely foreign language (Not Japanese) as Axel took his chance to move.
Leaning over the counter, he quickly spotted the machine they use to print tickets. Another swipe of his phone, and soon enough it was filling his hand with a ticket for order 82. He was back on his side of the counter before she even looked back, and Axel, after briefly feigning concern for the mechanical mishap as it calmed down, proudly presented the ticket he had ‘found between his gears’.
The woman seemed…unsure, but the ticket was evidence enough for her. She took it, and in turn, traded him a rather dapper looking suit. Not overly formal, a little more the stylish kind with a long thin tie, but definitely more Axel’s style than a tux with a bowtie or the like. The two shared little words beyond that, and Axel would make a mental note to add a 0 to her back account someday just as an apology for the angry customer who was missing their suit they’d soon have arriving.
(think I’ll end my post there, and you can set the scene he arrives to that night)

The Corinthian was less of a restaurant and more of a social destination for members of the upper class. Individuals with some pull in society, maybe a little bit of wealth, or at least had some connection to the underworld could find themselves here. It was her favorite place to eat and make deals, there was a level privacy that she could take advantage of here and they were for the most part comfortable with individuals with more pronounced or mutation related quirks. She didn't know what "Hacker-Man" looked like, but this was the widest net she could throw to ensure their uninterrupted meeting.
The restaurant itself was two stories tall with an open dining area facing the street and several private rooms closer to the rear of the building. The kitchens were located at the center of the structure, making it easy for the staff to provide service throughout the building.
The first thing one noticed when they walked inside was the smell of olive oil. After that was the finery, artificial lights, and the security. This place was designed with privacy in mind and Sonya wanted only the best, meals included. So she found herself sitting in one of the private rooms with a waiter pouring her a glass of wine. The heavy wooden doors between her and the hall outside thundered once with the sound of the locks disengaging and were followed with the doors opening. She crossed her legs and leaned back, waiting to see this man face to face. | 259 WORDS NOTES

Well…Axel certainly didn’t belong here.
Looking at the establishment before him, even after having done a bit of research online he couldn’t have really been prepared for the ritzy nature of the place, a deep sigh like sound flowing through the tinny speakers of his head as he wondered how he was going to approach this. It wasn’t a push to say that, even with a suit and having washed all the mechanical grease off of his chassis, he didn’t look like he fit in here at all. Whether it was the slightly loose fit of his suit on his slim build or the fact he just plain had a TV for a head…
Another sigh flowed out of him, and he shook his head again, stepping towards the entrance and just deciding it best to swallow his fears and deal with this as it came. All the while he had a firm hand on the phone in his pocket, ready to cause a scene should he need to, be it against Sonya, or the place’s security as a whole.
His sleeves rolled up, taking a much more casual approach to the whole dressing classy thing, honestly looking like a spikey haired teenager trying to look cool for prom, he rocked right up to the first free guard checking for invitations to the establishments or member cards or whatever, and immediately, even behind the man’s shades, Axel could tell he was being stared down.
“Can I help you?”
“Yeah. I’m er…” Axel idly scratched his cheek / the side of his head-casing. “Looking for a girl named Sonya. Apparently she’s waiting for me?”
The man lowered his shades, making it even more clear how little he was amused by this ‘joke’ of Axel being invited to this place by someone already present. He turned to one of the other guards, a brief whisper back and forth, and quickly stepped around Axel, grasping his shoulder firmly.
“Miss Sonya is here, but I hope you don’t mind me keeping an eye on you till we get her to confirm you’re her guest?”
“Oh not at all.” Axel all but groaned out, tipping his head back with a deep sigh. If he had a nose, it’d have clearly been from there, the kind of frustrated groan mixed sigh you wouldn’t part your lips for or you might say something you’ll regret. He let the big man lead him all the way to the bhig wooden doors and even push him lightly through them, Axel staggering for a second with a red exclamation mark appearing on his screen as he tried to catch his balance.
“Miss Sonya? This man says he’s your guest?” They gestured to Axel, who, after patting down his jacket, waved across to the silver haired woman who had apparently been waiting for him. He clearly wasn’t too happy about being shoved about like that, but it also was far from something he wasn’t used to, shooting a sideways glance emoji on his screen in the direction of the guard.

Sonya sat back in her seat as a small notification popped up on her cellphone. She crossed her legs, putting her hands in her lap and staring hard at the door. The multi-layered lenses in her artificial eyes twisted and churned until they adopted the appropriate focus to give her clarity at that distance. It went without saying that given the windowless state of the room that her glowing pink eyes struck a much sharper contrast with her surroundings. The spinning pink orbs flashed when the doors opened and a figure was shoved through, a man stepped in behind him.
"Miss Sonya? This man says he's your guest?" The host said, gesturing to the... man.
Sonya's eyebrows rose when she took him in. His entire body... my goodness. Even his head was... that. A screen? She resisted the urge to crack a smile when emoji began to dance across the surface of his screen. So that was one method he used to express himself and communicate. Curious. But it also made sense in an odd way how he had been able to get into her systems. If he himself was a machine of some manner, working with them was probably second nature to him. Still... that did not change the fact that he'd crossed a dangerous line.
She gave a curt nod, "Yes, He is my guest. Turn up the lights will you?" She said calmly, not bothering to move from her seat. The man nodded twice and turned up the artificial lighting. Sonya felt the ambient buzz fill her veins with renewed strength and took a deep breath through her nostrils. "Hacker Man. Hmmmm?" She looked him up and down. "With some work, a suit could work for you. But I can see why you don't own one yourself," She said flatly, tapping a manicured nail on the table. It was clearly not his suit.
"Sit." She ordered. | TAG 334 WORDS NOTES

Wrenching his arm from the guard man and shooting a >XP Emote at him as he turned his back to leave, Axel rubbed his elbow joint idly, making sure nothing had dislodged from the rough handling he’d been given before doing the same to his shoulder joint, idly striding across the distance between him and the woman before him, rolling back his shoulders as he relaxed and started to approach her space. “What gave it away? The oversized sleeves or the fact I don’t have anything worth covering up?” He’d have a smirk in his tone, but his screen remained blank when facing her. It helped to have the world’s best poker face. No expressions to be made, only his tone could be determined.
At her order to sit, he felt the temptation to be cheeky and claim he’d rather stand, but relaxing was always easier on the old joints. He’d take a seat and lean forward, his elbows resting on his knees and his head remaining level with hers, just sizing her up as he tried to break the ice any way he could. “Hacker_Man. With an underscore. You better keep that in mind when you say it cause I can tell~” In truth, he couldn’t, there was literally no way he could tell if they were verbally saying it with the underscore in mind, but it felt like a nice cheeky way to get the other woman smiling…if she was even capable of such a thing.
“I should warn you by the way, every good hacker leaves a script running when they’re told to meet in person. I ain’t got much on you I’ll admit, but the odd coded email here or there could certainly get a small police team keeping an eye on you…and heck if my systems get into the backdoor of your company website, I’m sure I’ll be able to find something there too. I don’t make it back to my computer though and…oof. Who knows what my PC will do. It really misses me if I don’t check in with it…might…act out.~”
He’d finally shoot an emote, a cheeky smirk emote across his screen for just a brief moment as he made the idle thread that, should he not make it back to his computer, anything he had on the woman before him might make it to people she’d rather not take a look.

It-he was amusing to say the least. She just shrugged and made a face when he asked about what gave it away. The guard left without another word and the two of them found themselves alone. To her approval, the man sat, though it seemed to be more of his own volition than her order. That was fine. He did as he was told; technically. She leaned back in her chair and watched him for a few moments, trying to figure out his quirk. To be honest, it really didn't matter. What he had done had been more than enough to attract her attention.
"I'll remember that.. Hacker_Man," She said, pretending to emphasize the underscore as if it were an intended pause in the word. She tilted her head into a faint nod as he went into his precautions concerning their meeting. She nodded along, "I would do the same in your position. In fact I have a few engineers on call trying to figure out where you sent those emails from as we speak, in case I have to track you down. But that's neither here nor there," Sonya said, waving her hands dismissively.
"I'm not interested in what you could do to me. No. I'm more interested in what you could do for me. Though you already knew that. After all, if you really wanted to meet and extort me you would have gone to more extreme lengths. Your attack was nothing short of an elaborate resume application. Here you are, here I am, sell yourself, because I have a company to run...dearie," She said, adding that verbal tick she used in the villain chat from time to time. | TAG WORDS NOTES

Axel displayed a cheeky smirking emote across his screen briefly in place of actual human emotion. A bit hard to do when you didn’t have facial muscles… or a face, period. The woman seemed to play along with his sense of humor at least, and when you were looking at someone you were hoping might see you as an asset, a bit of a playful repartee was definitely something you were hoping for. He’d lean back along his own seat in this quiet little VIP area, definitely not fitting the air of the place. At least, his raggedy look didn’t seem so charming without billions of yen in your bank account to back up the aloof attitude he was holding. “I’m glad we see eye to screen.” He’d tease a little as she both met his under score requirements and also noted she would have done the same if she was him. “I’d call off the engineers tho. No use paying anyone who won’t get you results.”
Axel tapped the side of his screen, an image from an old film about hacking showing up and playing on loop as a GIF as it showed some visual representation of a signal being bounced between several radio towers highlighted on a world map. “Trust me when I say what you’re seeing ain’t even giving you the faintest idea of how many relays I knock my stuff through. But hey, it helps get the idea across.~” He tapped his head again and the image faded, Axel remaining rather relaxed and chill…it felt good to hold power with his skills as a hacker. Especially when he had so little else to do in terms of his skillset.
The woman continued to impress somewhat, while Axel would prefer not to have his sense of ‘standards’ met by those of the criminal persuasion, in this case he couldn’t help it. The woman was perceptive, seeing his email hack for exactly what it was. His Resume. He had the potential to extort and showed he had the potential to find her again if she tried to hide her machinations and plans any better than she already had…but he wouldn’t have showed his hand if she didn’t want her to look.~
“Well well, good to know I’m putting my head in the hands of someone clever. You’re always much more pleasant to negotiate with…but yes. You’re right. I’m looking for an…’in’ so to speak. Being this good without someone paying my bills for it can be a bit of a troublesome lifestyle, and you my fair maiden of silver seem to be someone who’d appreciate a good brain, whatever package it comes in.”
He’d give a flourish of one of his arms as he bowed his torso forward, still seated as he presented himself in a ‘knightly’ fashion. “Hacker_Man, potentially at your service if the price is right. Now of course, I wouldn’t be starting this relationship off right with blackmail…so I assure you. Hiring me or not. If I leave this place with as many scratches as I walked in with, you won’t be hearing anything more about my access to your emails. I’d wanna be hired on my talents afterall, not just cause I have you in my pocket.~”

Sonya crossed her legs and leaned back a bit further into her seat, watching him carefully. Like she had said, she had a company to run; and that meant that he had only so much time to sell himself. Admittedly; she'd made up her mind already when she first got confronted with his antics. If she could have him, she would have him. It was as simple as that. She ran her finger along the arm of her chair while he began to talk. He was a showman too, so much for her initial impression of him. Though she should have known better given the dramatic way he had ensured the interview.
A lopsided smile stretched across her face; "You'll find that in the world we dance, trust such as that is hard to come by; but no, I have no intention of hurting you;" Sonya said, with a small laugh, nodding. He didn't spend any time selling his capabilities, he didn't bother with explaining his quirk or what good he would do for her as an associate. No, she'd have to learn him just like any other tool. That was fine, she wasn't opposed to the whole game of test and be tested but she wouldn't want there to be any confusion here either.
"Hacker_Man, do you know why I came out here looking to hire you? Do you have any idea what you are getting involved with?" Sonya asked plainly, getting to her feet and brushing herself off a bit. She stepped away from the table and rested one finger on the corner, relaxed and in control. | TAG WORDS NOTES

Axel felt like he was making good progress here. He tried to show confidence in his tone as best he could through the tinny speakers of his robotic frame, but all in all this just… seemed to be going well. Objectively speaking Sonya still held a lot of the power in this situation and Axel couldn’t even begin to pretend otherwise, but he’d be sure to try and maintain a level head and some cool confidence in spite of this. Afterall if he made himself out to be a coward now, he’d just seem like a pushover when they began working together… assuming they did.
“OH trust me, I’m more than aware of the world we dance in. Afterall, I came here with my preperations in play to assure we both left here with the best possible outcome. While my promise may not be worth much yet, when I return home and cancel my codes, and the police don’t come knocking on your door, maybe we’ll earn some trust between one another, but in turn, in the meantime… I’ve shown that not only am I not stupid enough to trust someone I’ve never met, but I’m smart enough to be taking precautions to preserve my own life, as anyone reasonably should.~”
He shifted a little to get more comfortable, making sure that he always sold even his negatives with a positive. He didn’t trust her. Yet. But he might grow to, and not trusting her was ultimately the smartest move. In an interview you need to make sure you don’t just spin everything. When you’re asked for a negative, you give an actual negative, but in this moment, right now, he wanted to ensure everything sounded like a positive. This wasn’t your average interview afterall… and even with her word to go on, he wanted to make sure he left here with his legs.
“Well I know why you came here looking to hire me. I made an impression, AND I made it clear you need me. I showed you your own weaknesses while showing you my strengths… as far as what I’m walking into? I gotta say, you got me there. No one can really predict the future they’re stepping into, but I’m feeling fairly confident its where I wanna be. So long as I keep my head down and get my job done… I’m gonna be safer than the average villain… and all the more valuable because of it. If you’re asking if I’m gonna chicken out… I can assure you, that ain’t me.~”

Sonya's glowing eyes swirled with an odd intensity; as if her emotional state caused the lenses to spin faster. Her smile was cold, cruel even, as she stepped fully around the table, drawing her finger across the surface of the table. Something crackled in the air; an undetectable odor like the scent of a icy morning, when she stepped away from the table a black streak was left behind where her finger had been. She stalked toward him; her eyes unblinking, "This isn't a game. This isn't cops and robbers. My ne deti, igrayushchiye s palkami..."* She hissed; stopping feet away from him.
She radiated a sickening cold, it pushed on the spirit, it chilled the heart, it weakened the mind and it punished the soul. She looked up at his screen with lethal intent; her body completely still, no motion, like a cat about to pounce. "Jou vill keep jour head down, jou vill do jour job; and..." She cocked a smile; "...jou vill be paid, very well..." Sonya let out a small laugh and turned away from him. "I am not in the business of hiring people I do not trust, I have a bit of a...reputation in the underworld;" Sonya added, crossing her arms behind her back and staring at the chair she had vacated.
"If you truly do not intend to 'chicken out' as you say, then show me just how far you are willing to go. Earn my trust, and I will shower you with all you need to succeed. My laboratories, offices, computer systems, and wealth will be at your disposal," Sonya stated; "I have...limited access to certain projects in progress under the supervision of our government. You, will get me more access. The prison. The Hero Schools. The Police. The growing Hero Agencies. Pick one, and get me an in. Give me the information I do not yet possess; something valuable. And I won't just hire you, I'll groom you for part of my inner circle," Sonya said, turning to face him, her pink glowing eyes almost red with malice.
"Your 'resume' piqued my interest. Now prove to me it wasn't just a fluke," Sonya said, flipping her hair and turning around; it looked like... frost was clinging to her dress and arms.

As the woman suddenly seemed to turn hostile, leaving a black mark on the table, Axel shifted uncomfortably in his own seat to say the least, idly scrambling a little back from the woman approaching him and mentally double checking he’d actually pre-loaded that code that would make what little he’d found on her public if he didn’t make it out of here. He was also wondering how painful it’d be to lose an arm. Sure he could rebuild himself at his workshop so long as he had one arm left or called on a friend to help but he didn’t wanna know what it’d feel like taking off an arm when it WASN’T on purpose. “H-hey hey. I’m not saying it’s a game but… nothing wrong with a bit of light humor here and there no?” He raised his hands defensively, moreso of his words as she approached.
“……oh you bitch.” He let out, knowing she might just shoot him another glare for that but as it turned out she was just messing with him he crossed his arms in a huff with a >8T showing on his screen for a handful of seconds as she seemed to go back to her own chair… or at least halfway. He rubbed the back of his neck joint as the tension released, feeling the cold sensation still spreading across his metal frame. “Right so I got the job?”
Or… not. She was looking for something more. Not just his resume, but an offering of some sort, to prove he could do the job on someone other than her, and someone valuable at that. Without a guarantee he was basically working for nothing but… the way she worded it. Her inner circle. This could be the in he’d been looking for too. He rose from his seat and offered his hand across, the metal frame beneath covered in a thick glove to make sure those shaking his hand weren’t made uncomfortable.
“You said you have limited access? Send an email to yourself with whatever you have, and delete it 5 seconds later. Don’t worry, I’ll be able to grab what I need… If I don’t get you something worth a damn in a week, you can consider this whole thing one big fluke.” He’d dip his head to his hand, then back to her, not too afraid to just shake hands, especially with the glove covering his metal frame. “Deal?”
