Anger. It was a curious thing. It could be a powerful motivator, a source of strength and power. But it could also be blinding. And that was exactly how Alaster felt. Seeing as the one person who turned his life around, the light to his otherwise dark life, was taken away from him and locked behind bars, of course the man was pissed. Of course he wanted everyone (especially that pro-hero bitch) to suffer. If he could not be happy, then he would make everyone else miserable. So that was why he had killed those people and did it in a way that would grab attention.
But it was only after the fact that Alaster had realized the consequences of his actions. Of course the police, pro-heroes, and pretty much everyone would be after Crowley, determined to put that crazed maniac behind bars for what he did. Though Alaster would obviously not go down without a fight, it would be foolish for him to go down at all. After all, he could neither break his beloved Meiko out of jail nor get revenge on Witch Doctor if he got himself caught.
The good news was that so far, Alaster had done a great job at keeping his villain and civilian lives as separate from each other as possible. There was almost no reason at all for anyone to believe that Harry R. Krowe and Crowley were one and the same. Still, it was best not to take chances. Despite being able to stay comfortably at home, doing so at the moment was unwise. He needed to relocate.
Fortunately, Alaster would receive some help with that. After checking in on Villain Chat (and honestly feeling a bit touched from the surprising amount of worry some of the people there showed for him), he got a DM from Thunder Shock.
Thundershock DM to CrazyCrow: Hey, are you safe?
CrazyCrow DM to Thundershock: Yes, I'm at home
Thundershock DM to CrazyCrow: They'll find you there sooner than later. Come to the underground until we get this all sorted
CrazyCrow DM to Thundershock: I'm not foolish enough to keep my civilian and villain personas anywhere near each other. Still, I suppose it's best not to take chances. I'm on my way.
Thundershock DM to CrazyCrow: I'm not saying you are, but there are more heroes every day, and if they could find Lavande they'll be coming after you, especially after that last stunt. Head to the Kabuchiko arcade and head inside, I'll escort you down.
So with that, Alaster began to make preparations. He changed into a grey hoodie, blue jeans, and white sneakers, while wearing a brown wig and glasses to disguise his hair and face. Of course, he would message Thunder Shock to let the man know who to look for. After packing a few necessities into his bag, he got out of his house, looking back at the place with a sad expression. This was the house that he and Meiko were to live in together. After the wedding, they would spend the rest of their lives living happily. But the damn pro-hero threw a wrench into those plans. Alaster gritted his teeth in anger. That damn bitch would pay! Her and the police! Shaking his head and sighing, Alaster made his way to his car and began to drive off.
Don't worry, my love. I'll find where you are, and when I do, I'll break you out. Then I'll snap the necks of everyone that put you there in the first place!
It took very little time for Alaster to arrive at his destination. Parking the car somewhere out of the way, he made his way inside the arcade, waiting for either the big man himself to come greet him, or whatever goon(s) he sent to show up. |

When Thundershock had sent a message to Crowley, he was surprised by just how upset he himself was about Meiko getting arrested. She was never one too close to him and the Kobayashi, but always willing to cooperate with him. They'd worked closely together a few times and Thunder did consider her as part of the clan, however indirect. If he could help Meiko and Crowley, then he would put a decent amount of effort into doing so. The first step to doing that, in his opinion, was to find Crowley a safe place to stay before he too was captured by the Heroes.
"I must be getting soft in my old age..." Thunder grumbled to himself as he made his way up the secret entrance that led into the Arcade. He would wait there quietly in the backroom, leaning against the employees lockers as he kept glancing towards his phone and the villain chat.
Meanwhile at the front desk of the arcade, a rather dismal looking teenager was there to greet Crowley when he showed up. He looked bored as hell and looked at Crowley like he was the most boring thing he'd ever seen.
"Welcome to Kabuchiko Arcade." He said with a heavy sigh at the end of his sentence, sitting back in his chair and pulling out his phone. This was still an actual arcade and people came and went all the time, so unless they asked him specifically about Thunder, he didn't draw any attention to it or to the arcade itself.

Upon arriving at the arcade, Alaster was greeted not by Thunder, but some random guy. Oh right, Alaster thought to himself. I should have figured that this would happen. It seemed as though he forgot to consider that Thunder would not be greeting him personally. It made sense. One, sticking out in public too much was dangerous, not to mention idiotic. And two, why do things yourself when you can have henchmen to do things for you?
Alaster was not in the mood to deal with anyone else right now. In fact, if not for this favor Thunder was doing for him, Alaster would have had no problem pulling out a knife and just trying to gut everyone here. But instead, Alaster just stared at the guy and spoke to him in a cold no-nonsense tone. "I'm here to see Thunder. Take me to him, or point me to someone who can." If anyone in the arcade had any sort of reaction upon hearing those words be spoken aloud, Alaster did not care. He was here to see Thunder. No one else mattered right now.
Alaster's patience was running thin. He could only resist the urge to torture someone for so long. These bloody fools had better not waste my time. Poor Meiko was trapped in a cell right now doing who knows what. Alaster was determined to somehow think of a plan to let him find her, as well as get her out safely. I swear, if any bastard lays a filthy hand on any part of her, I'll rip apart every single person in this damn country! |

The sassy teenage would look up from his phone at the mention of Thunder's name. He opened his mouth ready to retort, but the way this man looked told him to stop the charade... man this dude was twitchy as fuck... was he hyped on something the boss was selling? Eh probably one of his more high end dealers... he didn't really look like a Hero. The boy put the phone in his pocket, straightening up right away as he put his right hand to his chest and now offered the man a polite bow. His entire demeanor seemed to change, and in fact, even his appearance began to shift and alter, taking the form of a more refined, young adult with silver hair, much like Alasters own.
"Of course, right this way." He'd state in a very polite tone, stepping out from behind the desk and now guiding Alaster to the back of the Arcade. He pushed the door into the staff room open, allowing Alaster entry then taking him to what looked like... a closet. Once the door opened, Alaster would find a rather elegant looking sitting area with the boss man himself standing inside. The boy didn't dare say a word, only offering his master a much deeper bow than he had given Alaster and stepping out of the room to return to his post.
Meanwhile, Thunder glanced at the opening door, barely acknowledging his aid that had brought in Alaster and instead looking to the man he had invited. There was no smile, no look of cruelty or pity, no look of emotion at all on his face.
"Crowley, thank you for taking my invitation. I can only imagine how you must be feeling, and I want you to know I am genuinely here to help you and little Lavande. Come, have a seat and enjoy a drink while we discuss how to proceed." He offered Alaster, extending his hand towards the velvet sofa and heading towards the fully stocked bar at the other end of the room.

Alaster felt a bit relieved upon seeing that his time was not going to be wasted. The guy was getting straight to the point, bringing Alaster directly to Thunder, do not pass go, do not collect 20000 yen. Perhaps in any other situation, Alaster would have shown a vague interest in the man's change in appearance. But right now, Alaster just didn't care. Right now, the only thing that mattered to him besides Meiko was meeting with Thunder.
And there the man himself was! Upon seeing him, Alaster just nodded once to acknowledge him. Otherwise, it was clear from his facial expression (or lack of one) that Alaster's mind was elsewhere. And it was very clear just what it was he was thinking about at that moment. Poor Meiko. Where are you? How are you holding up? Are you in pain? Are you thinking of a way to escape? Stay strong, my love! I'm coming for you! And that hero bitch will pay!
Of course, Alaster was not going to just zone out. He wasn't stupid. Fortunately, by the time he was paying attention to Thunder's words, he had caught enough of it to be able to pretend that he was listening the whole time. "Thank you so much. Words don't come close to describing how grateful I am to you."
Alaster took a seat on the sofa, but would turn down any kind of drink. As tempting as it was to have one right now, Alaster preferred to think with a clear head. Plus, he did not have the best track record with alcohol, something that he was ashamed to not be able to forget, and part of the reason why he heavily disliked Nari.
For now, Alaster would remain quiet, letting Thunder do the talking for the moment, only speaking up whenever it was needed. That being said, he was eager to listen to anything Thunder had to say. If the man had any ideas on how to locate and free Meiko, or at least keep her safe until a plan could be formed, Alaster was all ears. |

"You helped me when I asked it of you, it's only right I return the favor." Thundershock stated simply, making himself a drink and then offering the boy a bottle of water instead of any form of alcohol. Unlike Alaster, Thunder had grown used to the sheer amount of alcohol going through his system, so it took a bit more than the average hulk to successfully get him drunk. Anyways, that wasn't the point of him summoning the boy here, far from it. He took a sip of his drink before moving back to the sitting area and taking a seat across from him.
"Lets get straight to the point. I want you to stay with me for a while during this whole ordeal. I can get you your own home if you're more comfortable with that, but you need to be out of the public eye, and you would be safest in my city. They're expecting you and others to react to her arrest and they're going to set up traps to capture you as well. It might sound like a good idea to get caught, but it's not going to get either of you anywhere that way.
There is a new prison the government has been constructing that they are taking villains too, a high security prison meant for quirkers. I have someone already on the inside that can look after her, but while they are locked up, we need to come up with a sound plan to get them out. This isn't going to be as easy as it was in the past. We've already got a decent amount of support from those villains in our little chat, so we'll have one hell of a fighting force when we go into this." He would explain calmly, leaning forward as he spoke and resting his arms on his knees, drink in hand as he looked into the boys eyes. He'd seen that look before, and while calm on the surface, it was like looking at a murder of crows circling their prey before swooping in for a kill. This man was pissed, and if his previous actions didn't prove that, his calm demeanor now did.

Alaster remembered all too well that time he and Meiko helped out Thunder all those months ago. It was a shame that he could not do much for the man back then. Still, it was only because Thunder had shown sympathy for Meiko the time that bastard G had hurt her that Alaster agreed to lend the man a hand. In any case, Alaster appreciated Thunder's sympathy then, and even if it didn't show, he appreciated it now.
He then listened as Thunder explained that the best course of action for him was to stay low. As much as Alaster loathed the idea of just sitting back and doing absolutely nothing while poor Meiko remained imprisoned, he was not too blinded by anger to fail to see the man's point. Of course the law would retaliate for those worthless fools slaughtered by Crowley. Of course they hoped to lure him into a trap so they could arrest him. And of course Alaster could not afford to get locked up too. Rescuing Meiko would be impossible for him to do from behind bars. And no matter how many people reassured him that they would help with the prison break, it would not feel right if anyone but Alaster managed to free Meiko. What was the point if one was free while the other was not?
"I understand. As much as it infuriates me that I can do nothing for her right now, I'll take you up on your offer. And yes, I would very much appreciate it if I got my own place to stay in solitude. With how I am right now, it's not a good idea for anyone to be near me right now. I can barely keep my anger in check." Because it was foolish to accept help and then anger Thunder by slaughtering one of his people. But Alaster needed to be honest here. Without Meiko to keep his sanity (or what was left of it) in check, he was nothing more than a bloodthirsty demon, a danger to anyone around him. Despite appearing calm and composed at the moment, Alaster could barely keep up that facade. Being left alone would be for the best.
Hearing about the new prison being made by the government to incarcerate those with quirks did not surprise Alaster in the slightest. If anything, he was more surprised by the fact that it took the morons this long to actually start making one. Apparently, one of Thunder's men was already inside. Just hearing the words 'look after her' made Alaster sigh in relief. Who knows just what the poor angel was going through? It was a massive relief to hear that at least one person in there was looking out for Meiko.
Now all they needed was a plan to bust them out of prison. But what could he do? Alaster's quirk was not weak by any means, but it was too limited and too easy for the enemy to exploit. And besides his quirk, Alaster did not have much else. What else could he do with what he had? Shoot an incredibly weak acid on someone's face? Fly around for a limited time in his prototype suit that runs on limited fuel? The sad fact of the matter was that right now, he was too weak. He had neither the power nor the resources to combat any pro-hero who would eventually arrive at the scene. Especially that Bitch Doctor. As much as Alaster wanted to carve into her bones, he just wasn't strong enough to definitively kill her just yet.
He hoped that Thunder could come up with something that would work. Because right now, Alaster had nothing but rage, frustration, and bloodlust on his mind. "Yes, we need a plan of some kind. If you have any suggestions, then I'm all ears. I wish I could provide ideas myself, but I'm not exactly in the right mood to think properly." He needed to calm down quickly. The sooner his mind was cleared of rage, and the sooner he could be as calm as he was pretending to be, the better. |

"As if I would ever subject an ally such as yourself to living in some grimy old apartment complex. You'll be given one of the smaller mansions around my own. They're all equipped with a training room, so you're free to safely release your anger there. I even have a few... expendable? subjects you can have your way with for the time being." Failed test subjects were more like... what better way to dispose of them than to let them be killed at Alasters hands? he wouldn't outright tell the man that's what they were, but he would find out if he took Thundershock up on that offer. Though now wasn't the time to talk about that, Alaster wanted a solid plan to release Meiko a.s.a.p, and Thunder wanted a plan that would see Asahi released as well.
“I’ve got an idea of how to get in, but this plan will take time and will take resources. I ask for your patience. Meiko will be safe while we put this plan into effect. When the time comes to get her out, then I’ll summon you and our other allies. We’ll even let you make one hell of a statement about what happens to those that dare take away our own.” He continued, moving towards Alaster and gently placing a hand on his shoulder, making a motion with his free hand to a door that was left just slightly ajar, revealing nothing but darkness behind it.
“Come now, lets get you set up and we can continue to discuss the details on the way. Our priority right now is making sure you remain safe. You and Meiko can’t be together if you end up getting killed.” He stated the obvious, waiting for Alaster to stand before he would help guide him down to the underground city where he would show Alaster to his new home. One he was welcome to keep even when meiko returned if he wished it.

"Thank you. That would be excellent. I could use a few expendables to vent with." Alaster was a sadist, so of course he would much prefer a living breathing punching bag over a non-living one. Hearing others scream out in pain felt cathartic to him, especially right now given his current mood. The sooner he got to carve into someone with a knife, the better. The demon was pissed, and somebody needed to suffer. It was probably for the best for the victims to be those who would not be missed by anyone.
Alaster listened to Thunder's words, resisting the urge to roll his eyes upon being asked for his patience. Patience was going to be something that was very difficult for Alaster to keep, as it was running dangerously thin at the moment. It was nothing short of a miracle that Alaster still had any patience left at all, with it being very understandable if he snapped at any second given his rage. But still, if it meant freeing Meiko and ensuring her safety, then Alaster would do all he could to try to be patient. It would not be easy, but for Meiko, anything was worth trying.
He continued to listen. It was good that there would be others to assist him with breaking Meiko out of prison. Alaster would hope that there were no incompetent fools joining in the operation, but then again, he should not need to worry about that. This was Thunder, not the Deadlock Gang. If anything, it would be safer to assume that if things did go south, it would be due to Alaster's failure rather than the incompetency of his allies.
Upon hearing that he would be allowed to make a statement about what happens to those that dare take away their own, Alaster nodded in approval. "Good, because boy do I have a message to send." If those worthless law enforcing fools thought that gutting four people, using their blood to write a message on a nearby wall, and then kill four more people was a very gruesome statement, then boy would they be horrified. Because that was nothing compared to what Alaster had in mind next. Eight deaths? That was child's play! If Alaster would have to murder every fool that crossed his path just to make the message crystal clear, then he was more than ready to do so.
Meiko, if I have to murder everyone within and outside of those prison walls just to make sure you're safe, then I will not hesitate for even a moment. Just please wait for me!
Listening to the rest of Thunder's words, Alaster nodded. "Alright, I understand." With a sigh, he got up, ready to follow the man to wherever his new hideout would be. |
