The boy asked if he really will pick him up if he changes his mind and G nodded "Aye. I'll just go to the orphanage reception thing and list myself as an emergency contact or whatever. I'll even give you my number if you want. And whenever you need me I'll be there. Simple as that" he said. But he doubted the boy would believe him.
Soon the trio went to the nearest orphanage place and G had to use a GPS and the internet to find one because he really had no clue where one is. If Kenji looked at G, he might see that the Vigilante also wasnt a fan of what he was doing, he could probably see on the mans face that he was upset.
G meanwhile looked at his phone so he didnt notice that as they traveled the boy was cold, not until he spoke up. G looked up from his phone as saw the boy shaking. He didnt really know what to do, either carry the boy himself and hope that that would somehow warm the boy or... "Here" he takes off his jacket "take this" hands it over to him so he could put it on. Yeah that was part of his vigi costume and yeah the jackets sleves were short, but whatever, he'll get a new one. At least G has a shirt with long sleeves, but then again that wont keep him warm, but again whatever.
It took a bit since they were going on foot, but they arrived at an orphanage. Goliath put the boy down on his feet and G dismissed his summon. He offered his hand to the boy, so they could hold hands before they enter the cursed area that is the orphanage. G bit his lip because this was against his very character and soul. He adopted Miku so she wouldnt end up here. He adopted Haruuhi. But after having Hana and Kai, his ability to adopt people willy nilly was gone, he wasnt the master of the house anymore. He had to share and think of his own family. With this boy being how he is, G was forced to do this just to teach this kid a lesson, that he should trust the number 1 Vigilante. G just hoped the people there wont flip when they see him, he never showed his face to an establishment of any kind while in Vigilante mode. |

HIDE AND SEEK THE BOY DIDN'T FLINCH Kenji sighed a melancholy sort of "hm" at the man's response. Emergency contacts? In an orphanage? It didn't seem like something they'd provide. Who would an orphan have as an emergency contact, anyways? Orphans, by definition, had no one. But... it was kind-of reassuring, to have an "out" there. Even if Kenji was skeptical about it.
Without skipping a beat, G surrendered his coat. Kenji took the coat in a grubby hand, and wrapped it around his shoulders like a cape, hugging it close.
"Thanks."
He kept his arms huddled close to his chest, without sliding them into the sleeves, for better insulation.
The two went quiet. Kenji was listening to their surroundings, inspecting the insectoid thing that carried him, peering through trees and down streets as they left the creek area and trudged through the quiet suburb.
Everything was strangely devoid of people.
Finally, they reached the orphanage-- or so it was proclaimed to be by the sign over the front gate-- and the creature unloaded Kenji off of its shoulders rather gingerly. Kenji stood uncertainly, bowing his head. He wavered.
The man extended his hand.
Kenji surveyed the proffered hand.
In most situations, he'd spurn it. Attack the offer with some value judgement, like, "I'm not a baby!" or "That's gay!" Something that firmly established him as both a teenager and a tough guy. But... feeling as scared and uncertain as he was...
The young teen clasped G's hand, his expression puckering into a frown. If only Charles could have taken Kenji with him.

He held he kids hand and walked into this orphanage with him. He went to a desk area thing and spoke with the person there saying that he xame to place this kid in the orphanage and saying that this kid has no one. No legal guardian or anything. G said even if he is a Vigilante, he cant even adopt this boy for reasons. Obviously not stating that he has a family. Thats no ones business. And before they could take him away, G demanded pen and paper. After getting that, G writes down his phone number and hands that paper to Kenji
"There, as promised. Emergency contact. You can call me whenever you want. I may not be able to provide you with proper housing, but that doesnt mean I cant provide you with... anything else" G said to the kid
G then crouched down so he can look Kenji in the eye "Listen I talked with the person here. They're gonna take care of you. And dont worry about this. This will be like for a year at max. Im sure you can leave then to go to a high school. UA, I'd reccommend. They have dorms where you can live solo. So... yeah... dont worry. You can do this" G then gets up and prepares to leave "You can keep the jacket if you want or return it later. All your choice. But...erm... yeah. I gotta go. Be good and dont let anyone bully you. Kick em in the crotch or if a girl in the shin. Ciao" G said and then made his exit, this was a unique ordeal to him and he felt he needed to go home to ruminate on what just happened. G needed to rethink some life choices
