Mia scoffed a little and rolled her eyes, hardly considering herself a philosopher in even the loosest of contexts, but supposing the dragon queen had some sort of weird point. The idea of them being the golden age though…”Eh. I doubt it. We’re still working out the bugs and a fair few UA kids have turned to the other side, so we’re hardly gonna be the golden age as much as I’d love that to be the case…but hey. We’ll leave our mark somehow. Or. Well.” She cheekily rested a hand on her chest. “I will at least.~”
Mia didn’t have much to say when Izanami conceded defeat and just kept her eyes forward. She told things how they were and she wasn’t about to be guilt tripped by some sad looking snakes.
As for dragon queen’s comments on her own preferances, Mia had a wide smirk at her surprise and heartily laughed at her suggestion of the woman wanting to deal with the big burly men type, shaking her head with a wide grin. “Oh fuuuuuck no. You think any of those guys could even STAND being with me!? I can bench more than they can even comprehend. They’d be immasculated by me just stretching, let alone really flexing my muscles. Nah. What I like is a nice, classy woman type? Real elegant woman. Some class to her. Curves from head to toe. An ass that looks soft but a nice tight bit of muscle underneath…ya know, a chick who clearly takes care of herself but genetics clearly gave them a foot above the rest.~” She’d smirk extra wide talking about the girl she liked, careful to keep quiet with the kids around but clearly excited about the topic. “I mean, truth be told, slip you into something other than your hero costume? You’d probably be right up my alley? Class ain’t really something I NEED but I always find the higher up a girl is, the dirtier they are once I take them home. Gotta get some release after pretending to be on her best behaviour all day.~” She gnashed her teeth with another cheeky chuckle.
“But hey, you can have the men. I have my fair share of women. Gay and straight. Being a girl with this much muscle means I don’t just attract the fellow lesbians from time to time.~”
As Izanami went on about how those who hate quirks truly feel fear, Mia wasn’t getting the best of vibes from her. The way she was speaking almost felt closer to someone like that guy who hijacked Tokyo 5 and did some big pro quirker propaganda, rise up type shit. She was still clearly on the good side of things but just outright saying they were ‘superior’? Jesus Christ. Mia was usually the dumb one in conversations like this but she kept feeling the urge to correct the other woman.
“Okay. I’m genetically stronger than most. You have your dragon benefits. Yellow Jacket can fly and has bee stings, Geist creates shadow clones. Army of one creates webs and controls spiders but we’re the crème de la crème. We rose to the top of the mess quirks can be. Now. Don’t get me wrong. I. Love. Quirks. Everytime I see a crowd and I have time I try and pick out a few kids and ask them to show me their quirks, and I do everything I can to get them to have some pride behind what they might think is some shitty quirk…but izanami. We ain’t all good. Is a kid who was born with a fish tail better than a person born with two human legs? Is a kid born without eyes but super hearing better than a normal kid? Is a kid with horns sprouting out of their head ‘superior’ because of it? Or do they just have a harder time getting through doors or fitting into cars? We aren’t just blatantly superior. Some of us are, it’s not wrong for me to say that…but some of us really got fucked on the dice roll of quirks.” She rubbed the back of her neck, feeling like she was being a party pooper but…
Izami felt like she almost…oozed this sense of self deprecation, unable to take a positive out of what Mia considered she was, a ‘monster hero’, while also oozing a deep sense of superiority. Mia had an ego herself, but it was positive. She was never spiteful to those who could rise above her and saw them as playful challenges, she relished the chance to prove herself again…the more Izanami talked, the more her sense of self seemed more like a mixed brew for a villain than a hero…but Mia knew from how she spoke about the kids, and doing good, she was indeed a hero…she just…
Her referring to them like they were gonna just be lost to history…
Guess she was just being paranoid.
“Hey. No one forgets the Nazis.” She’d idly comment, staring ahead. She just…didn’t like the nihilistic, spiteful was she spoke about them. Mia didn’t like quirk haters but she also didn’t have the energy to hate them. Despite her saying ‘they aren’t worth their breath’…Izanami had a lot of breath to spare for them.
As things seemed to wrap up, Mia lifted her gaze a little as the other woman suggested they go get something to eat and actually address the media. Mia just scoffed and shook her head. “Fuck ‘em!” She’d chime, right back to holding a big ass smile. “If they think reporting on a hero who actually works more than she smiles for the camera is boring news, they can air me on the late hours. I got kids to help and muscles to do it with. You go get a snack. Maybe just bring me back something meaty on your way back.” With that she’d raise a hand to wave the other heroine off, not wanting to delay her if she was hungry
