A sadistic demon did not tolerate peace for long. Sooner or later, chaos, destruction, and blood would be desired. This was Alaster in a nutshell. He was taking a short break from villainy to work on other things, such as writing and spending time with a certain lavender angel. However, that short break would soon end. Alaster craved the plunge and twist of a knife onto a poor fool, the spilling of fresh blood, the bloodcurdling screams. He loved it! Inflicting pain and death on the unworthy. Oh, how he missed it! Most of the world was vile and disgusting to him, so he would have no shortage of victims. Whether it was by himself or with someone else, Alaster wanted to go on a rampage!
The recent chaos at Shibuya was what awakened that dormant sadism within Alaster. Seeing the fires, the screams, the looks of utter terror on the fools trying to escape death's embrace, the helpless police trying in vain to restore order and find the long-gone culprits. It inspired him. He had been taking it easy for far too long. He needed to take action now. The world deserved to burn. The unworthy people deserved to be painfully purged. And he was more than happy to instill fear in the hearts of society. Just as Eternity had sent a very clear message, Alaster wanted to send one of his own:
Crowley has awakened. Once the demon takes flight, there shall be suffering, screams, fire, and murder. And if those foolish heroes, vigilantes, and cops thought they could stop him? Their bodies would join the ever-growing pile.
Alaster was wearing his usual caped villain outfit, though he also had his black hoodie and crow mask in his bag in case he needed to change things up. In addition, he had several wigs to hide his hair and assist in his getaway in case his rampage began to head south. In addition to his disguises, Alaster also had his modified dart gun, plenty of ammo, his weak but still painful acid, several rolls of duct tape, and a few knives. He even had his recently acquired flight suit underneath his clothing, with the cape covering the suit's extendable wings. Overall, he was prepared for almost anything.
At first, Alaster was just wandering the alleys, thinking of things like the dark clouds that obscured the sky, which tool to torture his victims with first, what Meiko was up to right now, the numerous crows that were either flying around or perched on the rooftops, and if some idiot would try to interfere with his work. But then he noticed something that caught his attention. Two men hanging outside what appeared to be an abandoned warehouse. Alaster began smiling sadistically. The first of his victims had been found.
Alaster walked around the alleyways and approached the building from behind to avoid being spotted. Once he got closer to the entrance, he began to hear footsteps from inside. He then heard voices. Curious, Alaster got closer to listen in whilst being careful not to be spotted by hiding around the corner.
"Shiba and I just checked. The place is empty. Doesn't look like nobody's been here in ages! Looks like this is our new hangout spot now, boss!"
So it seemed like these thugs were just small-time crooks, even more minor than the Deadlock Gang. And there were only a total of four people here. Excellent! These chumps did not look like anyone would miss them. With that, Alaster looked around to make sure that the nearby crows were within his range before activating his quirk. Naturally, the sudden and loud caw would alert the thugs. "What the fuck? Ryuga! You and Toshi go check it out! It's probably those stupid birds being loud again, but I can't take any chances."
Hearing what was presumably the leader of these thugs refer to the lovely crows as 'stupid birds' irritated Alaster. How dare that disgusting prick insult the crows! Of course, Alaster was only going to enjoy torturing and killing these fools even more.
"Attack!"
On his command, the eight nearby crows whose eyes were glowing blood red began diving down towards the thugs' faces. "AAAAAARGH!" The thug named Toshi began to watch in horror as his partner was literally being pecked to death. "RYUGAAAAAA!" Something was wrong here. Crows were not supposed to be this strong! So how were they clawing and pecking through skin like it was butter? However, Toshi could not avenge the dying Ryuga as he himself was the next target of the crazed and bloodthirsty crows. "GYAAAAAAAA!" More bloodcurdling screaming until Toshi, just like Ryuga, dropped dead.
The boss was completely horrified. Two of his men. Gone, just like that. He heard that voice yelling out 'Attack!', which meant that someone was responsible for this. Running to the warehouse door, the boss opened it and yelled. "SHIBA! GET OVER HERE! WE'RE UNDER ATTA-" However, he never got to finish his sentence, as in his panic, he did not bother to check behind him. Thus, Alaster was able to approach the man and stab his back with a knife very easily. Shiba ran out to see what was happening. But he stopped when he saw the white-haired man point a gun at him with one hand while taking out the knife from the boss's back with the other.
"Hello boys. Fancy having a small chat?"

The job was easy. Almost too easy, in fact. Someone wanted a few warehouses burned down and she didn't ask questions. Maybe it was some sort of insurance scam, or just sabotage. Whatever the reason was Maeko didn't care in the slightest. Her interests didn't even remotely rely on the why or even the how, all that mattered was how much. It didn't really take much cash at all to convince her if she was being honest with herself. Burning down things were part of her, in her very nature. The flames ran in her very blood as she would like to put it. Her entire body was always superheated to the maximum. Who was she to deny her nature? Denying what was just true would only be foolish. She knew exactly who she was and what she was born to do. But who said she couldn't make a little money in the meantime? Food wasn't exactly cheap.
She still felt the outfit looked silly. Regardless, the modernized traditional elements of her outfit were hopefully attempting to inspire the godly nature of it. After all, Amaterasu was the goddess of the sun. If she couldn't even live up to the name, she had no right taking it. Still, by the time she was done with Japan, eventually she would be the one everyone thought of when that name came to mind. When the entire world was burning they would stop and accept their fate, maybe even beg at her feet for mercy... That sounded almost perfect. Still, with hundreds if not thousands of other villains roaming around, she'd have to prove herself. Someone would eventually take the title of Japan's most wanted villain, and admittedly a part of her almost craved such a title. Certainly a long way to go.
It was incredibly rejuvinating to just leap from building to building, her strong legs indenting and burning the concrete with every leap. If there was any way to describe freedom, this had to be it. Nobody to stop her, just the open skies and a night of arson awaiting her. It was almost too good to be true, but lately she had just begun to accept the fact. Vigilantes were few and far between in her own personal experience, although that could easily change. Not to mention, those stuck up pro heroes who would inevitably show up some day to ruin her fun. Until then, Maeko was determined to simply enjoy her life.
She had eventually made her way to the top of the warehouse, her hair trailing behind her almost like a lazy comet would. Burning brightly, trailing upwards as she moved. Just burning the top of the place wouldn't do any good, the structure inside would still be way too sound. A roof could be replaced, the entire support structure could not be. Everything else would crumble down around it. Before she could climb down and around she heard something interesting. Someone was shouting to attack, bloodcurdling screams, somewhere below her people were dying. The only major surprise was that this place was supposed to be entirely unoccupied. Nothing more than leftover crates of unopened goods, shelves upon shelves and other assorted nonsense. So why exactly was there such chaos? She was immediately intrigued.
Pulling the mask up around her face to cover her mouth and nose, she began working on a plan. Jumping off the side of the building might lead her straight into the middle of a combat situation that she wouldn't be prepared for. This warehouse didn't exactly have any immediate way down, either. Most of these buildings were just meant store things, that's it. There was no reason to add fire escapes from the top or a way down. Luckily, there was quite a few skylights in plain view. Grinning ear to ear, she didn't even hesitate before reaching forwards and slamming her elbow right into the glass. The shards clattered down below her as she simply immediately jumped down through the broken window.
Landing onto one of the shelves, her feet were already burning into the metal and that meant it was time to drop down. She quickly leaped towards the ground, her feet slamming down into the concrete ground with a loud thud as she finally saw the commotion. A man with white hair and a fancy attire was standing with a bloody knife, pointing some sort of gun at another individual. Judging by the fight, whoever this stranger was, they were clearly villainous. Heroes didn't stab people, not like that they didn't. Maeko smirked behind her mask, slowly stepping out and into view. Her break in was probably audibly noticed, but hiding herself would probably only get herself shot.
"You know, you should do what the guy says." She laughed audibly, leaning against the shelf as her hair flared up wildly and out of control. The flames rising up and pressing against the bottom of the ceiling. Fear wasn't even remotely visible on her face as she looked at the two of them, the sheer heat radiating off of her in waves. "After all, I'm sure whatever he has in store would be a quicker death than what I would do. All I ask is that you don't take too long. I got some business to attend to and it involves burning this place to the ground. Hurry up with the murdering or surrendering, huh? "

Alaster did not have much time to say anything else to the two goons as there was suddenly the sound of glass breaking. Alaster turned his head to the source of the sound, and... wait, is it getting a bit hot? Then, a masked girl with literal fire for hair showed up. Alaster raised an eyebrow. Who was this? The moment she spoke, it was clear that she was not with the goons. Ah, so it was a fellow villain. Alaster chuckled.
"Quick? Me? You clearly don't know who I am if you think I like to be quick. Why end lives so soon when you could drag it out, make them suffer for a long time, and make them cry and beg for death? Ah, now that's more fun!"
But it seemed as though the girl was here on business, wanting to burn down the entire warehouse. Alaster then smiled as a rather cruel and sadistic idea came to him. "I have an idea. Once I finish torturing these fools, then we can leave them and their dead friends here to burn to ashes with everything else inside the building. That way, their deaths are even more painful, and as a bonus, all the evidence burns away. Hell, I feel rather generous tonight, so I won't mind if you want to join in on the torture!"
Torture? Fire? DEATH?! Hahahaha no. Shiba was not going to have any of this. The boss did not pay him enough for him to give a rat's ass if the man dies. But there was no way HE was going to stay and become a victim of two psychos. "Fuck this, I'm outta here!" In his fear, Shiba forgot he had a gun aimed at him, and if he thought or hoped that Alaster wouldn't pull the trigger, well...
"AARGHHHH, MY BALLS!"
Shiba watched in horror (and Alaster watched in glee) as the glass dart shot out of the gun, broke upon making contact with the man's nether region, and sent burning acid and pieces of glass on the area. Hearing the man scream like a little bitch made Alaster cackle. Oh, this was so much fun! "Wrong move, moron."
Seeing his subordinate in pain like that made the boss shudder in fear. He did not even bother trying to dig out the knife from his back. He knew that he was going to die here. What could he even do? Try to run and get a bunch of angry crows on him? Try to fight the white-haired man and get shot like Shiba did? Try to attack the girl and get burned? It was hopeless. The man began to cry. This did not go unnoticed by Alaster. "Aw, what's the matter? Miss your mummy already?"
He then twisted the knife on the man's back before forcibly pulling it out. What happened next depended on whether or not Maeko wished to join in on the torture. If she did, Alaster would toss the boss towards the fire girl and let her have her fun with him while he dealt with Shiba. Otherwise, he would just shove the man to the warehouse entrance along with Shiba. Regardless, he would then caw loudly to give the crows a new command while pointing at their target. "Attack, but don't kill." The crows would then attack either both men or just Shiba, leaving the boss alone if Maeko wanted to torture him.
Of course, the more Alaster used his quirk, the raspier his voice became. It was an unfortunate side effect of his quirk, but whatever. Alaster then looked at the masked fire girl. "The name's Crowley, by the way." WORDS 613 TAGS Maeko LeeNOTES He's generous enough to share his victims! How nice! |

Oh, she liked this individual almost immediately. His laughter alone encouraged a smile to form on her face, let alone his words. No doubt that he took just as much joy from this as she did. Granted, she wasn’t entirely sadistic, but when it came to flames… Well, these individuals were going to die at his hands anyways. Might as well enjoy hearing them in pain first, having an easy target was certainly more enjoyable than having to chase someone down, at the very least. Her grin only spread wider behind her mask as she spoke in return. “You know? That sounds right up my alley. Torture, arson, murder, a solid Friday night.”
As the soon-to-be-corpse tried to escape, the sudden shout in pain was enough to even cause Maeko to wince a little bit. She didn’t exactly expect acid and glass to come out of that gun, but she had to admit it was more than effective. A bullet would be quick, but acid? A slow, painful death. Rather quickly she was gathering an image of what she assumed this individual to be like. A pure sadist through and through, not that she cared. Of course, watching the other individual who wasn’t shot simply break down and cry did cause a slight twinge of pity. She didn’t know the motive, but whatever it was, these people probably deserved it in one way or another.
Of course, Maeko wasn’t about to be left out of the torture. As soon as the boss was tossed towards her, she would quickly grab the individual by his clothes and hoist him upwards into the air. Despite the fact that he was taller than she was, there was no doubt that he was entirely at her mercy. Her hands burning extremely bright, their clothes starting to catch fire as she did nothing but hold him. And yet, the sobs just didn’t stop. Growing frustrated with the sound, she would place a firm hand hard over his mouth, muffling him. Of course, the intense heat would only worsen his pain, burning away at his skin. “Oh, shut your mouth. Die with some dignity, for fuck's sake. Stare me down, threaten to haunt me for the rest of my days, just end this ceaseless crying.” That is when the intense screaming started, her grip forcing him to remain in place as his jaw was burned raw.
Not too focused on her own situation, and obviously trying to distract herself from the rather annoying screams, she would glance over at the other man only to see crows attacking him rather fiercely. Her curiosity was certainly piqued. Was he controlling those crows? Had to be, she couldn’t think of any other reasoning. Hearing his raspy voice introduce himself, Maeko would nod back in return. “Amaterasu. A pleasure, truly.”
With a quiet laugh, she would simply toss the individual with a surprising amount of force across the room, slamming into the wall right near the entrance so he could watch his friend being pecked to death. “Let me guess, these folks do anything? Or just murder for the sake of it? Ain’t like I’m going to care, either way. I once tortured an old lady and burned down her store just because a friend wanted to.”

To Alaster's delight (and to the two goons' horror), this girl seemed to know how to have a hell of a fun time. Holding up the man, igniting his clothes as he continued to cry like a little bitch, and then burning his jaw once his sobs started to get irritating. Of course, Alaster was also keeping an eye on his own target, laughing as the crows were slowly eating away at the man, though being careful not to kill him too quickly. Wouldn't want it to end too quickly after all.
So the girl's name (or alias, most likely) was Amaterasu. It took only a moment for Alaster to realize why that name sounded familiar. "Ah." Alaster had recognized the name. She was one of those people who sometimes popped in the Villain Chat. It was always fun to meet someone from there in person. Well almost always, depending on the person. "Likewise."
Listening to Amaterasu, Alaster chuckled before answering her question. "Two reasons, actually. One, for the hell of it. Why not have fun every once in a while? And second, the chaos that Eternity caused at Shibuya made me realize that I haven't been too crazy recently. And after seeing all the screaming and fires on TV, it made me realize that I have been taking it easy for too long." Funny he should mention the Shibuya thing, seeing as the arsonist here just so happened to have been one of the stars of that entertaining display.
A little bit of torture later, and Alaster decided that these two goons here were finished serving their purpose. Calling the crows and commanding them to fly off, Alaster felt a brief moment of sadness. Not for the two people. Nah, they were nothing more than worthless fodder. It was always sad to see the poor crows in pain every time Alaster used his quirk on them. Well with their job done, the poor birdies did not have to endure any more suffering. Once the crows were away from the warehouse, Alaster grinned as he kicked the almost but not quite yet dead goon inside the building. Then, he looked at Amaterasu and smiled sadistically.
"Once these morons' dead friends are dragged inside with them, I'd say it's time for the fireworks to start." The barely conscious Shiba tried to move, but the injuries and blood loss from the crows made doing so impossible. He was just in too much pain. Unlike his boss, who had sobbed because he didn't want to die, Shiba knew that begging for mercy would not work. So instead, he slowly turned to the two villains and groaned as he did his best to ignore the pain.
"Both... of you. G-go... to hell."
With a smile, Alaster stomped on the man's crotch, chuckling upon hearing the goon scream like a whiny schoolgirl. "You first." After kicking him, Alaster went to get the corpses of the other two, ready to drag them over to join the two that weren't lucky enough to already be dead. And once that was done, the real fun could begin.

Maeko was certainly more than eager to listen to his response, only growing more excited the longer she listened. So this man was a fan of Eternity? Obviously, if he had seen their display at Shibuya then he knew exactly who she was. She immediately laughed, grinning ear to ear from behind her mask as she spoke. "Hell, I remember it like it was yesterday. Those trees in the square are never going back to how they were. There's something so... satisfying, about looking through that square and even now seeing the aftermath of my work." Maeko giggled that sickeningly sweet, sadistic tone that she had grown comfortable with.
After he somehow dismissed the birds, Maeko was certain it was his quirk for sure. After all, how else would he be able to do that? However, she did have admittedly quite a few questions. Could he control any bird? Was he limited to just birds? The possibilities were quite astounding and she couldn't help but find herself quite intrigued. So what if the smell was horrific? The scene before them of the dead and soon to be dead didn't even faze her, just lost in a sense of sadistic curiosity. However, she kept her mouth shut for a little while, trying to keep herself at least under somewhat control rather than pestering her new supposed ally intensely. Time would come for that later.
"Fireworks? Now you're speaking my language." She would giggle once again, standing near the two dying men. Of course, her laughter only grew even louder once they were told to go to hell. Ironic, perhaps she would enjoy a place like that. Fire and brimstone? Burning flesh as far as the eye could see? Even if such a place existed, it would be heaven to watch everyone else suffer. As soon as Crowley kicked him in the nuts and walked to grab the two corpses, Maeko immediately kneeled down and stared at the two men.
"You know? It's a real shame, too." She tsked softly, shaking her head as she tortured the men with just her words alone before she'd put them out of their misery. "Just a wrong place, wrong time. You know? That's all you are. Just the fuel for chaos. Or more accurately..." As Crowley pulled the corpses in and spoke, Maeko would pull down her mask to expose her sweet, sadistic smirk. As she spoke, the flames would spill out between her teeth with every syllable. "Fuel for my flames. Who knows? If you pray to Amaterasu, me, perhaps you'll find peace in whatever fleeting existence you have left."
Sucking in a deep breath, Maeko would suddenly breathe out a large swath of flames that spread across the bodies before her. Screaming echoed throughout the building, but it only brought her a sick delight. Perhaps back in America she never thought she'd enjoy murdering so shamelessly... But the power and fear that came with it were simply overpowering. Unable to stop herself, Maeko laughed even more, her sadistic glee joining the echoes of pain as she started to catch everything on fire. The shelves, the empty boxes, and especially the corpses laying on the ground before her. Eventually, the men with no energy to resist anymore would perish, but Maeko didn't even care when.
"You know... I like your style." She spoke calmly, looking back at Crowley even though her mask was removed. Still leaking flames every time she spoke, Maeko was grinning ear to absolute ear. "So, what do you say? You willing to help me burn this place to the ground, or do you want to just sit back and enjoy the so-called fireworks?"

It really was fun watching the chaos that had happened at Shibuya on the news. It made Alaster want to one day do something similarly chaotic, something that would grab the attention of the people and instill fear in them. Oh, how fun that would be! Perhaps he could do so one day. After all, what better way to announce to the world that Crowley was there to ruin everyone's lives than to end up on the news? Sure, he had no fire to burn people with, but a murder of crows would suffice.
Amaterasu was quite the enjoyable company to have. Well, not for these two, as two psychos were far worse than just one. But she definitely had that sense of fun and sadism that Alaster appreciated. After listening to her give the pieces of fodder trash the last words they would ever hear, Alaster laughed at the sounds of the victims' screams as they burned to their deaths. Ah, the sounds of worthless garbage suffering. It felt so cathartic, so relaxing! Humans were so terrible, so to see them in pain like this was nothing less than delightful for Alaster.
He watched as Amaterasu's flames began to spread. Ah, fire was always so fascinating to watch, especially when burning others. It made Alaster wish he could have had a fire-based quirk. That would have been far better than forcefully bending crows to his will and making them suffer painfully as he did so. Seriously, if it had been humans, he would not have cared a bit. Hell, Alaster would have liked using his quirk more often, even with it irritating his throat to the point of muting him with overuse. Why must the poor crows suffer? It was not fair to them!
"Thank you. You seem like a really fun person yourself, Amaterasu." Once she asked if Alaster wanted to join in on the fun or just sit back and watch, his grin widened to match hers. "There's no way I would want to miss out on the fun! I do love getting my hands dirty." And with that, Alaster began looking around for some gasoline. Fortunately for him, there was a small container full of gasoline lying around outside the warehouse, ready to be picked up and used. It was a shame that those morons had to die so soon. Alaster would have loved to dunk some gasoline on them first. Perhaps force them to drink the stuff before lighting them up. Now that would have been glorious! Ah well.
Picking up the container, Alaster began to pour the stuff at the flames, feeding the fire and helping to make it bigger. After dumping about half of the gasoline, Alaster just chucked the container itself into the flames, making sure to stand back as he did so. The fire would quickly begin to consume the whole building and everything inside. The sheer amount of joy Alaster felt could be seen with how much the sadist was laughing at the moment. Ah, I really should bring Meiko with me sometime. Lighting buildings and worthless fools together. Sounds like a very fun idea for a date. I should ask her about it when I get home.
Oh, how funny would it be if someone just came in right now and saw the two villains burning down the warehouse. Alaster would not mind it at all. Throwing a fool inside the inferno seemed like a fun time. Sadly, no one else was here. But with how big the fire was getting and with all that smoke being produced, the villains' actions would not go unnoticed for much longer. WORDS 609 TAGS Maeko LeeNOTES Burn, baby, burn! |
