Nimue Nakahara Yuuei's Nurse It was a little difficult that they had not know what today had been about before coming here and being thrown into the actions, she had already used all three of her spirits and that switching surely made her lightly nauseous, but that was not the reason why she offered Tony half the granola bar because she simply did that for the two of them to regain energy. She was so tempted to go and sit on the floor but you never knew what would happen next and she switched Nkosi away from her before taking too much energy, it was enough now that Tony was healed and she smiled, happy she could do something.
She gratefully took the water bottle to take a sip, but she had the idea that she had missed Tony drinking, "We could share as well?" She simply said because well team work was surely important enough so she offered that and took another sip, it was nice to be able to catch her breath. She offered Tony the bottle back before she took a bite of the half of her granola bar and let out a happy sigh and finally decided to sit down for a bit, she stretched her hands above her head because it surely been active, "I am afraid it will become more complicated." As she felt like she had not done much yet, "That could be tiring for you as you were the one that did the most now." Not that she underestimated herself, the protection of the civilians was important too but the strength was not with her, she simply had to focus on a lot of things and she was sure Uphondu could do something, she did not take martial art lessons with G for nothing but it was a lot more difficult when it came to it as there were weapon throwing robots around, but she sure felt that she had learned already by observing Tony, it could never be simple and easy but she was sure that it was highly important to learn about it and what she could do herself. Maybe she should not have given up so easily but not being able to channel all the spirits in one go was exactly what made her quirk so delicate and why she did not like fighting. She had to worry about that when she bumped into a villain but every situation would be different.

The government employee kept thinking of what to have Nimue and Tony do next. Several ideas, but most were deemed either too easy or too reckless even by his standards. But after some time had passed, one particular idea came to mind, and this one made the man grin. "Oh shit, this is brilliant!" He immediately began typing on a certain special computer in the room. One that just so happened to have complete control of everything in this facility, from the building and rooms' layout, the positions of every robot and where they would appear from, and a couple of other surprises. Though at the moment, all of the changes were occuring on the floor beneath the two pro-heroes, so neither of them would be able to notice anything. Not until the man was ready to start the exercise.
"This is gonna be so wicked! I can't wait to see how these two will respond to this!"
---
Normally, Tony would have just insisted that Nimue keep the water. But with just how tiring these exercises have been, and the uncertainty of what was to come, perhaps it would be wiser to just share the water. So Tony took the bottle, raised it so the water would pour out, and let about a third of the water pour down to his open mouth before passing the rest to Nimue, letting her still have the majority of it.
He did not disagree with Nimue's guess. If the next exercise was somehow less complicated than the first two, he would genuinely be shocked. "True. Still, better for me to be the tired one than you." If Tony had to take a guess, he would assume that he had more than proven his and Centaurion's strength. To have to fight more robots would not really make much sense, if the main goal of these exercises were to test every aspect of the heroes's performance and not just physical strength. In that case, then Nimue and her quirk's utility would be far more invaluable to deal with what was to come.
Unfortunately, the two would not have much more time to rest. A trapdoor opened up from the floor in front of Nimue and Tony, with a robot rising up from the opening. In each of the robot's hands were what appeared to be metallic wristbands or watches of some kind, one for each of them. "PUT THESE ON YOUR WRISTS NOW, PLEASE." Tony stared at it in curiosity before reluctantly putting it on his left wrist. As soon as both of them had put the bands on, they would notice that the bands immediately tightened. Not hard enough to be uncomfortable, but enough to where removing them would be impossible. The bands themselves had a small screen, though at the moment displayed nothing. The robot then bowed once before returning to the opening on the floor, with the trapdoor closing behind it.
"Whatever these things are for, I doubt it will be pleasant." Tony then looked over to the TV that had displayed the messages detailing their earlier exercises. Just as before, a message was now appearing on screen. Though this time, there were far more words being displayed. EXERCISE 3. INFILTRATE AND DISARM. YOU HAVE TEN MINUTES TO FIND AND DISARM THE BOMB BEFORE IT DETONATES. DO NOT ENGAGE THE ENEMY. DO NOT GET CAUGHT. EACH INSTANCE OF GETTING DETECTED OR DAMAGING ANYTHING, INCLUDING THE ENEMY AND ENVIRONMENT, WILL PENALIZE YOU WITH A STRIKE. THREE STRIKES EQUAL FAILURE. RUNNING OUT OF TIME EQUALS FAILURE. FAILURE FOR ONE IS FAILURE FOR THE OTHER.
...
FAILURE MEANS RESTARTING FROM EXERCISE 1.
Suddenly, the ground beneath the two began to shake violently. However, this was no mere localized earthquake. From the floor, a tall building rose up. It looked to be about three stories high. There were no windows in sight, but there was a single open entrance. A loud beep came from Tony's and Nimue's watches. Upon checking them, they would see that there was now information being displayed. Though at the moment, it was just in the form of three gray skulls. No doubt that the skulls would light up if and when one of the heroes got a strike.
There was a lot to process with this, so Tony got the most obvious one out of the way. "Failure... means restarting... from exercise one?!" He immediately muttered almost every single swear word in Spanish he knew. What kind of bullshit was this?! Only three strikes, and they would have to repeat everything they had to endure up to that point. They didn't even have a layout of the building! So they were essentially going in blind into a building that was undoubtedly loaded to the brim with robots, and with very high stakes and no room for error.
"Well then." Tony looked over to Nimue. "I guess let's bring it on. No pressure or anything, am I right?"
---
The government employee looked at the screen and caught Tony's reaction, chuckling to himself. "Hmm, I wonder if this is maybe a bit too much for the two." After thinking about it, the man's grin grew wider. "Nah, I'm sure they'll be just fine."

Nimue Nakahara Yuuei's Nurse She frowned a little but she would not push Tony to drink more, she was just not entirely agreeing with the comment about better him tired than her. Surely it would be okay if she was tired if they needed his strength again but she could do a bit herself and she decided to drink the last bit of water, she could use it definitely for her healing. She just was waiting now and trying to regulate her breathing again. "We need teamwork so we need to figure out how, it's a good thing to learn that I should bring more food and drinks with me." She wondered if she could fit that in her first aid bag but she would see. She did not think so far as to consider that Tony had showed a lot of work already, all she thought about was that they would have to work together for more minutes and thus they had to be able to depend on the other. Which was strange in a way, she did not feel threatened or afraid by Tony's presence, and that's weird considering they had never met before.
She was glad about herself for not visibly jumping up about the robot that suddenly showed up from a door in front of them and she had only her shoulders moving up a little as if she shrugged instead of visible reacting to the thing that happened, she looked at the metallic wristband and took it and carefully put it on her wrist but she looked at it, shook her wrist, hand a bit but it was already stuck, she did not really like that. She looked at the screen or any buttons, looking up to ask but the robot was done and had already left.
She nodded, she wasn't convinced it would be nice either and she followed Tony's gaze to the screen. Nimue wasn't entirely glad with what she saw, seriously what was this for exercise, they could not start and restart every time a small mistake was made. She was sure that it was just a sort of calm and collected test, because that's what the real world needed to but there was no restart over there. She did not like the shaking ground, she first thought it was an earthquake and could not help but put her hand on Tony's arm but as she noticed, she quickly pulled it back and looked away. Stupid Nim. Stupid.
She looked up at the building, they had ten minutes to find and detonate the bomb. Ten minutes is mostly more than you realize yourself but Tony was right, they had no idea how the building worked to try and avoid the people in there. She stared at the door and heard the beep, "All we can do is go there, we have ten minutes, so either we split up or we stick together but that means we have to be quick and silent." How would game people work or how would villains work, if she had to hide a bomb, she would either put it on the first floor to destroy the complete building or depending on what the bomb did and the radius it had she would put it on the higher floors so it would not be easily stopped by others like her and Tony. She slowly walked to the door, so stealth, and intelligence is what they wanted.

Yes, teamwork was something important to have, especially in the face of these unknown trials. Tony did not really have anything or anyone else he could rely on but Nimue. So he supposed it was only fair to her for him to remain in good enough condition to be able to help her out if or when she needed it. He just hoped that the two would still be alive and intact by the end of all this. Just what kind of madman was running this crazy thing anyway? First, the two exercises were straightforward. But now this? Tony sighed. Nimue was right. All they could do is just go in and get this exercise over with. Hopefully ten minutes would be more than enough time.
So the two heroes headed to the door. The first thing they would notice is that there was no deviously placed robot to catch them right then and there. The madman running this show wasn't that sadistic to give the heroes a strike right off the bat. The second thing they would notice is that there are three paths from the entrance. Well, more like one, as the left path was a complete dead-end, and the path on the right had a green robot watching over the hallway, with seemingly no way to get through without getting detected and instantly earning a strike. The unusual thing about it was that if it turned just a bit to the right, it would probably be able to keep an eye on the entrance. But curiously enough, it just stood there, looking straight towards the wall it was facing. A shame that knocking it out would not be allowed here without getting a strike, as it would be incredibly easy to do.
Speaking of strikes, Tony was unsure how this exercise worked. Was it one strike per person? Or did he and Nimue share a strike? He supposed that the only difference was two mistakes before worrying about failure versus four. In any case, Tony really did not want to find out the hard way. And he was sure that neither did Nimue.
So, with the left and right paths being a no-go, center path it was! This hallway was clear, so Tony and Nimue would not have to worry about anything as they moved forward. Soon, the two would reach a wall, where they would have to go either left or right to proceed. But which way to go? And should the two split up to cover more ground? Or should they stick together to easily help one another get out of trouble should something unexpected happen? There was not much time to decide.
"What do you think we should do?" Perhaps it was force of habit, or maybe Tony wasn't sure if talking was enough to get the two caught or not, but he spoke to Nimue in a quiet enough voice. "Left or right?" He trusted her judgment, so regardless of which way she chose, Tony would gladly follow her, or go the opposite way should she decide it was best to split up.
But regardless of whichever path they went, there was something just around the corner. The heroes could not afford to be careless, lest they earn a quick and unexpected strike.

Nimue Nakahara Yuuei's Nurse So they would have to split up or they would have to be a bit quicker, she did not like the idea of splitting up and she noticed the robot on one side and the clear dead-end on the other, that meant they had to manage their way straight ahead. With this maze like features, that worked but the thing was still that after that they would have to pick a side too. Tony whispered to her and she almost jumped up as she was looking left and right. She had absolutely no feeling about it, "If only we could blast up through the bottom and go up." She mumbled, what if either of the routes would be a dead end eventually, they needed the lay out of this building but it wouldn't be like any other building, after all that was what the training was for. Nope she had seriously no idea where to go. What did they always say when you went into a maze? To go and take your right hand so you would know how to find your way back right? "Let's go right." She said looking up to her partner and turning her hand to the wall and slowly and as softly as she could walk into the hallway. Surely not that slow but she need to not make a sound. They had to be the surprise force and not someone else. That was a difficult thing to consider but they had to be prepared. She didn't even know what spirit to activate and she simply looked at the watch quickly. Well no strike that was for sure but the time was ticking and still she had no idea where to go.
She looked over her shoulder at Tony, would Centaurion be able to help in this building though or was it just them? Maybe they could avoid being a little bit faster if it was without a doubt them fighting?

It was a simple choice. Two simple choices. Left or right? Stick together or separate? Which was the correct answer? Was there even a correct answer? Tony did not want to think that this exercise was unbeatable. Surely whoever was testing the two heroes were not that sadistic, right?
Nimue then mentioned something interesting. Rather than go through this maze of a building, just create a dungeon bypass by blasting upwards and heading straight to the third floor. Assuming the bomb was there, and assuming that the blast would only break the ceiling and floor, that would theoretically let the two reach the third floor with only two strikes. However, this presented several issues. Even if they somehow avoided damaging anything else, who was to say that the bomb was located on the third floor at all? For all they knew, there could be a hidden basement or something and the bomb could just as well be there. Plus, what if they did bust a hole upwards and then got surrounded by guards the moment they climbed up due to lack of foresight? It would be tricky to navigate the area without a map. But surely there was not one just lying around here, right? In any case, playing it safe seemed to be the wiser move for now.
So Nimue chose to go right, then. Hopefully nothing important was being left behind, right? Well if they needed to go back for some reason, then it would be worth looking into. But for now, it was time to move forward. The two would immediately find another fork in the path. Again, left or right. "I'll look ahead to see which path is clear." Tony stuck his head out a bit and took a quick peek. On the left, there were some stairs. Clearly, this was the way forward! But just in case, Tony decided to peek to the right...
...Tony would immediately notice a robot around the corner, and it was about to turn his way! ¡Coño!
Luckily, Tony managed to back away just in time. After looking at his watch, the three skulls on them remained the same. So no strike there. Time to tell Nimue what he saw. "Okay, so the left path leads to stairs. If the bomb is on the top floor, then that's where we should go. But on the right is a robot. If we move while it's looking in the direction of the stairs, we'll get ourselves seen. We're going to have to time our approach so we can run while it's looking the other way."
But there was a problem. How to tell when the robot would look in the other direction? And for how long? If only there was a way to look at the robot without worrying about risking detection. But then again, all that Nimue and Tony would need was one moment. One simple moment to run, quickly turn the corner, and get up the stairs. If the robot caught them, that was only one strike, or two if the robot saw both heroes and strikes were shared between the two. Tony was unsure of how the strikes worked, and he did not want to find out the hard way.
There was nothing else to do but just give it a shot. Unless Nimue had a plan or anything she wanted to share before moving on.

It was a very tough decision and Nimue did not like it. She did not like the government making it such an issue, there were far more issues when it came to the real world but there was no such a thing to be able to survive this simply because the government set up such a silly thing for them to work about. She did not want to think about it or talk about it right now. She muttered a little, she wasn't sure what to do, the silly idea of going upwards was an idea but it was silly because they did not know the consequences. If they did not have the lives on the wristband they got, it was worth the try. Saving time from stopping the bomb, who cared about running away from enemies right? But they had to go on and she was looking for the way to go and that was going to the right way right now. Because of the way of what was ever said to her about mazes, back at home at least. It was more of a post-apocalyptic setting that her mother lived in than in the real world but who cared. She looked at Tony and nodded as he said he would check ahead, she noticed him coming back around the corner rather quick but he was too far away from her to ask and when he got to her she nodded after he gave her the information. Right... if the bomb. She had forgotten that idea, she had assumed it was. She frowned, almost tempting to see where the previous left road would bring them.
"Do you think the robot reacts to other things or only to us?" She asked now that she thought about it. She still considered to go and see what was on the left and suggested to do that first. No, they had no time to waste. She pulled the watch from her wrist and waited for a second but no alarm went off and she hunched down and softly pushed it over the floor, it kept in the way she had pushed it and didn't stop that far and she could now see the reflection in it, albeit very little but it worked great. "Okay it's still turned to us, when I say go, we have to go immediately."
So she eventually said it and hunched down herself to grab the watch and hurry to the stairs to run further up, it was a two-part system and on the middle part, she waited because they had to be careful not to run in the next robot up the stairs.

From his hidden office, the government employee watched the two heroes navigate the building. They were doing well so far. They had managed to find the staircase on their first try. Nodding, the government employee went over to the mini fridge, took out a bottle of Epsi soda, and began to chug the thing. With his free hand, he took down various notes, seeing just how the heroes were responding to the various obstacles being thrown at them. "Hmm, good reasoning and quick decision-making, excellent physical prowess, reacts to stress better than expected." At this rate, the two pro heroes would clear this exercise with little trouble.
*BEEP*
"Ah, finally!" The man checked his phone, having finally received the message he had been waiting on from his superiors. Upon reading the text, his wide smile shrunk considerably. "Damn, it got rejected? Aw man, I was looking forward to giving those two a self-destructing building to evacuate from. Damn limited budget. Ah well, I guess it can't be helped." He then turned to the monitor. "Guess you two are lucky after all."
---
Tony was surprised when Nimue was able to remove her watch. Weren't they supposed to not be able to be removed so easily? So how did... Oh, look at that, they're removable now. He resisted the urge to roll his eyes. Whoever was testing the two were sure being lazy now. At least these things didn't blow up or something ridiculous upon being removed. Anyway, it seemed as though the robots were programmed to only activate if they saw Tony or Nimue. Any other object simply would not register.
But that gave Tony an idea. As soon as Nimue gave the word and the two rushed up to the second floor, Tony would immediately rip off one of the loose panels on the wall next to him, and then use it as a makeshift shield. A shield big enough to completely cover both heroes. Of course, doing so earned him a strike. Good to know that this strike only applied to Tony and not Nimue. How surprisingly generous. But if Tony's hunch was correct, then there would be no more worrying about getting detected.
On this floor, there were robots everywhere. Some moving, some remaining stationary. But there was one nearby robot around the corner on which Tony could then test his idea. "Wait here. I have something I need to test out." So holding up the panel and making sure that no part of his body was sticking out (good thing there was a small piece to grab on to to act as a handle), Tony walked forward and straight into the robot's line of sight.
No detection. No strike. With the panel acting as a shield blocking Tony from view, the hero may as well not even be there as far as the robot was concerned. ¿Me estás tomando el pelo? Tony could not believe that actually worked. He wanted to facepalm so hard. But instead, he made his way back to Nimue. "Gracias. Thanks to you, I figured out a way to cheese this entire exercise. I'm not sure whether to be relieved or disappointed. Anyway, just stick close behind me and let's end this already."
And with that, the entire second floor would be easily cleared. Just take a peek ahead, note the positions of the nearby robots, and move accordingly, hiding themselves behind the large panel. This felt so cheap it almost felt like cheating. But Tony was honestly glad to hurry up and end this already.
A few minutes of moving around later, and the two would reach the staircase leading to the third and final floor. And right there, the bomb was laying in sight. No robots, no obstacles, nothing. It was right there in the open. Esto es simplemente vago. Upon approaching the impressive-looking bomb, Tony noticed something that made him want to both laugh out loud and facepalm at the same time. A giant red button was there, as well as a note on a piece of paper that was taped to the bomb. On that paper was a simple message.
OKAY, SO NONE OF YOU ARE EXPERTS AT DISARMING BOMBS, AND AS FUN AS IT WOULD BE TO FORCE YOU TO TRY ANYWAY, IT WOULD NOT EXACTLY BE FAIR TO YOU TWO, NOW WOULD IT? SO JUST PRESS THE BUTTON TO DISARM THE BOMB AND CLEAR THE EXERCISE.
Were these people even trying anymore? With a sigh, Tony tossed away the panel. It would no longer be needed. "Care to do the honors?" Letting Nimue be the one to end this mess of an exercise, Tony was relieved to see that it was finally over and done with. And to confirm it, their watches would display a new message.
EXERCISE 3 CLEARED. EVACUATE THE BUILDING.
Fortunately, whoever was running this did not decide to troll the two heroes by making the building self-destruct or anything. That would have sucked. At least the return trip was far faster. No more robots around, so leaving the building was extremely simple. Once the two heroes were out, the ground would shake a bit as the building went back underground. This all felt so unnecessary, but Tony was far past the point of caring. Whatever exercise was next, he just wanted to get it over with.
But then a voice echoed across the room. Someone was speaking through a speaker. Probably due to fear from getting beaten up by the heroes for putting them through so much. Not that they would really do that, but the government employee did not want to take his chances.
"Uh yeah, I was gonna give you two one last exercise to wrap things up. Basically set up a countdown to blow the whole place to kingdom come. But then I ended up going a bit over budget. Whoops! Anyway, I've seen enough of you two in action to be able to give a full and accurate report. Long story short, you both did very well. I'm pleased to say that there are no worries concerning either of you. So yeah, you two can go now. Just take the elevator to the right, and you'll be dropped at the entrance. Oh, and could you drop the watches you have on your way out? We kinda only have the two."
Tony immediately breathed an immense sigh of relief as he made his way to the elevator. ¡Gracias a Dios! This whole thing was finally over. Still, despite all of the ridiculousness, Tony at least had a good time working with the heroine. He was glad that Nimue was the one he got to endure minor hell with. "Well, it's been a pleasure working with you, señorita. I look forward teaming up with you sometime. Hopefully in a far less annoying situation than this." And with a smile, Tony gave Nimue a firm handshake.
And once the two were outside, it was tie to go their separate ways. Thankfully, there was an officer waiting just outside who would lead Tony back to that other building where his car was. It would have sucked to have to find his way back on foot all by himself.
With Centaurion already asleep within Tony's mind, the hero wanted to just drive home so he could sleep for a bit too.

Nimue nodded, trusting the man she just met made her just feel very curious about this situation. She watched him for as far as she could, trailing him with her eyes and smirking a little when his plan seemed to work. interesting. But it seemed to work and Nimue would hide with Tony behind the wall panel and they would manage to get through the maze of stairs and robots only a lot faster. "If only villains were this blind in the world." She laughed a little. They would get up to the third floor and she snorted again, "I am glad they know our capacities, maybe they should give defusing bombs classes." She snickered at Tony and gave a short bow, "Thank you." before she finally pushed on the button and looked around, nothing happened. She half expected something else. But nothing happened so they could go downstairs as quickly as she could, she had put the watch back on her wrist and she was sure it was going to give her a strike but nothing had happened.
So now that everything was ready, she put the watch in the little bin at the end and headed outside. That had been a long day. "I look forward to seeing you again Tony, how about we go for dinner, next week? I will text you the invite?" So they could talk about it, about today but also maybe about their quirks and it was just fun to meet other pro-heroes and just go there. She would have to wonder how to go back but finally managed to get a taxi in the middle of nowhere here and she would be able to drop home. She was surprisingly tired, but it wasn't so weird because she had used her quirk quite some time and now it was time to rest. First a good shower, then maybe she would order some food and sleep on time.
