Today seems like a good time to relax. After all, very soon he shall go off to the world that is camping, and he needs some way to relax his nerves for the upcoming camping trip. Nothing says relaxing more than observing some birds in a well controlled environment, after all, so of course the park was an excellent choice to find said birds.
At least it WOULD be if these pesky darn birds won't fu-fricking SHOW UP.
Like alright, the temperature was perfect and the clouds weren't cloudy and all the elements were just right. Barely any people around (there were some people, but not near Kaz the moment), no one yelling louder than usual, his usual spot unoccupied...it should all be perfect. What was the point of even coming here if he can't relax properly. Oh yeah sure, he can go look at birds at the campus, there's a whole ton of them. But noooo, you just gotta have the proper environment, don't you now? You just can't be satisfied with common things. You just gotta go up and above with this sort of things...also maybe to avoid any unnecessary attention again but that's not important right now.
Kaz sighs in frustration as he sips a bottle of water. Well then...what can he do then? Can he start doing some basic stretches or something? Eeeeeeh, the grass might migrate any accidental falls but it'll still hurt. Would rather wait for a proper training mat to be underneath me to try to pull off a flip...maybe. We'll see how today goes. Perhaps he'll shall practice his quirk? If he hones the whole "'liquid to solidus to solid' thing today, it would aid him on his path to being a better fighter..eeeeeeh i'm not really feeling it today. Just not one of those days, I guess.
So then, what can he do? Lightly kicking his feet, sitting on a bench, he tries to consider all the possible actions he can do. If he can't properly practice some stretches (at the moment), nor not in the mood to practice his quirk, or even watch the birds that he came here in the first place to do, the hell can he do? Kaz groans as he picks up his Chronicle, flipping between pages to see if he wrote down anything that he can use to entertain himself. What sort of story has he writte-Oh dang it, this is a new notebook, isn't it.
"Oh cursed fate! Why has the world betrayed me now, today, in this moment of time?" Over dramatically saying stuff in the open is usually a bad thing to do, but people tend to ignore him doing this while in the park. They usually think of him as some weird kid practicing for an upcoming play...and in a way they're right. "Is there anything that can aid my utter boredom, to dare to give the chronicler some sort of peace of mind at this critical moment? Nay, for he is cursed to exist in this state of unevenness! The world has decided to grant me this trial, and though I am its lowly chronicler willing to act the role, I must admit it's nothing more than a bit inconvenient. Wallow in absolute despair, World, as your chronicler remains silenced to the stream of time..." Kaz stops reciting to stare at his book. "...Wow even for me that's a bit corny and stupid....I really need to relax, it must be the nerves." He snaps the book close and starts heading towards some shade, to rest his head underneath a tree of sorts. Perhaps then he'll be able to relax.
Maybe. Probably. Hopefully, if someone doesn't interrupt.

This is nice! I haven’t had a chance to take a walk like this since coming to Japan… Walking through Tokyo Park, Tess Faraday had not a care in the world. A gentle breeze through her fair grey hair caused red and blue cowlicks to wiggle merrily, strangely indicative of the girl’s cheer and chipper mood as she enjoyed one of her favourite pastimes. Japan was a busy place, busier still for a budding student of the heroic persuasion, and so she was making the most of what little free time she felt she had.
But even as she strolled at a leisurely pace across the green, young Miss Faraday was making time for Quirk practice. Her turquoise t-shirt and its ‘Hang In There’ kitten motif, blue denim shorts and black leggings hardly seemed out of place; nor did the fingerless glove on her left hand, if not for its lack of a counterpart. As she walked, she fiddled with a pebble in her right hand, tossing it towards a lonesome tree as she walked near.
Little did she realise said perennial had an occupant, and little did she realise until just a moment too late where said pebble’s trajectory would take it…
“Hey! Look out!”

Ah, now this is what he should have been doing from the start. Relaxing under the shade, resting his head on his crossed arms behind his head...it all just made simple sense. Just...relaxing. No need to practice his quirk at the moment, no birds to watch...just some good old fashioned relaxing under a tree. He should have brought his sleep mask, but even then it wasn't really necessary. The shade's doing most of the work, so why bother? Today's a lazy day, just don't do anything. Just...re-
Someone tossed a rock near the tree. And, of all places, by pure sheer chance, it landed on the young chronicler's forehead. "Gah! Wha-what the-what the heck?" Rubbing his forehead, he gets off his back and faces the direction of where the rock was thrown. What kind of person dared to threaten or kill-okay, maybe kill is a bit too strong of a word here. It was more of a mistake than an intentional threat against his life..who dared tried to ruin his precious relaxation time! He came here to ease his tension and to stare at birds, and if he can't do any of those, well then what's the whole point of coming to this park?!
With an annoyed burrowed expression, Kaz stares at the person who has thrown the rock. She seemed a bit familiar but he can't recall her fully at the moment. Was she from UA? Probably? Whatever the case, why would she throw this rock? Was it to grab his attention? Picking up the rock, he tosses it behind him. It's not polite nor the proper etiquette for a Chronicler to intentionally throw rocks at people, and if he starts now then he'll never live it down. "...Hello there." He slightly frowns. "...Is there a reason why you threw that rock?"
There are 3 possible reason: 1) She has heard about the chronicler and came for his knowledge. Unfortunately today he's on his 'off time,' so she'll have to just wait for later. 2) She wants to fight him or kill him over something he said to her off-handedly. A bit too far but it wasn't the first time (nor will it be the last). or the most reasonable yet boring one, 3) She just threw the rock absent mindlessly with her...fingerless glove....huh that's a cool looking glove. Did she...did she buy that or did she sew it herself? He'll ask later, right now he needs answers.
"Well? What do you want?"

“Oh! Hi! I- I’m sorry,” Miss Faraday stammered, panickedly putting together her sentence. Brilliant blue eyes settled upon the unintended target of her throw, his face more familiar to her as she drew closer to make her apology known. “I didn’t mean to throw that pebble at you, I just didn’t realise you were here. Are you okay? I didn’t hurt you, did I?”
Wow, way to go, Tess! Pay attention next time… Scolding herself internally for this mishap, she waiting patiently for the young man’s response. At a glance, he looked fine, perhaps a small bruise at worst was the extent of the harm she’d dealt. Even so, she would have rather heard it from the horse’s mouth. Better not to assume if she wanted to make amends.
Wait, this is… As her eyes analysed the individual before her, she was quickly drawn to the presence of an ascot about his neck and slight bags beneath his dark brown eyes. Now she was sure she recognised this person, and recognition only seemed to make the situation worse in her mind for reasons she could not quite place a finger on.
“I- Uh- Well,” she began, stumbling over her words again. Today really wasn’t her day. Rather than dwell on the bad, she chose to shift the conversation elsewhere. By no means did she want to make light of the situation that had provoked their meeting, but she saw no use in dwelling on the wrong she had mistakenly committed. Better to defuse the issue than to make it worse. Making an enemy of a fellow student - a fellow classmate nonetheless - was certainly not going to help anybody. “I’m Tess, Tess Faraday. You’re Kazu Fureu, right? We’re both in Class 1-B at U.A.! What are you doing in Tokyo?”

Oh, so it was a fellow student...also a fellow classmate? Kaz really needs to pay more attention to who's actually in his class, considering he managed to forget the majority of the group up at the start of the school year. He managed to ignore a cool looking guy for a long period of time just because he forgot, so the fact that he missed this girl as well was a bit...insulting to her if you think about it. He needs to stop being easily distracted by stuff such as his books or the birds or that cool fingerless glove-okay seriously, where did she get that fingerless glove? He really wants to ask her..... but he has to like, build it up to that point or else it'll sound completely out of the blue! You can't just ask a complete stranger about their fashion sense, that's common sense 101.
"Ah, I see, It is you, Tess. Nice meeting you again." That's a big lie, he barely even talks to her and until this point, forgot her and many other students in his own classroom. "No no, I'm fine, the only thing that is hurt right now is my trust in the birds, for not even showing up...Hmm? Why am I in Tokyo?" He ponders a bit. Why did, out of all the parks, go to the bigger one, she asks. " I mean, I had some free time out of my busy chronicling schedule, and well...you know how it is." No Kaz, she doesn't. He rubs his eyes in a bit of exasperation at his own failings to birdwatch. "It-it's okay, just maybe, toss it up in the air instead. That way you can, um, keep the rock for a while." Kaz's eyes find himself attracted to the single glove again. The urge to ask her is rising, but he can't really....gaaaaaaaah. As Tess responds, he couldn't take in it no more. "Um, excuse me. I uh, wanted to know...where did you obtain that single piece of article on your hand?"

Trust in… the birds? What a strange comment… Admittedly, Tess did not know Kazu all that well. Though he certainly didn’t look it at a glance, she saw no reason to assume that birdwatching would not be a hobby of his. Nonetheless, he humoured her queries, even going so far as to offer some advice about her rock-throwing habits. True, she had been a tad careless, though her reasons were certainly different. Throwing the stone up into the air so she could just catch it again was something of a moot point.
“Oh, well…?” Before she could even reply, Mister Fureu posed an enquiry of his own - an enquiry regarding her glove of all things. Was it really that unusual an accessory? Well, perhaps it was, considering she was only wearing the one. She saw no harm in answering.
“This? I got it back when I lived in England. I like having my fingers free when I’m out and about,” Miss Faraday answered, holding up her gloved hand and wiggling her fingers. It was as she did so that she remembered the reason for even wearing the article. However, while she might have recalled the reason, the budding young heroine could not recall another important factor. “I was- Um- I was practicing using my Quirk, and I was using this glove to help with that! And that pebble, too.”
Another question came to mind.
“You mentioned ‘chronicling’?” Tess added with curiosity: “What do you chronicle, Kazu…?”

Ah yes, of course, England! Only that place would have the required materials needed to make something of that calibur....no wait that's wrong, he can just buy those materials here...but still, it would probably be cheaper. While he would love to have gloves in order to to complete his chronicler outfit, his quirk kinda places a huge 'STOP' Sign on that plan. The lines on his palms require his hand to be unobscured of anything that can cover up and restrict the flow of his Metal output, so sadly he has to say 'no' to his plan of a complete Chronicler outfit. It's a shame too, he could have like red gloves or even dark blue gloves, ooh, or even gold gloves! Maybe different gloves for different situations!
Speaking of quirks, Kaz's mind was broken off from its usual ramble when she mentioned that she required the glove to practice. "Hmm? That's interesting. That pebble is a sort of conduit for your powers...and that glove regulates it? Intriguing. You know, I was considering trying to practice, but the urge to view birds from afar was overpowering...of course I didn't expect to be utterly disappointed in them today, but it is the thought that counts." Kaz shrugs a bit, trying to play off his annoyance as yet another normal thing. There was no need to indulge his fellow classmate in his disappointment or bring her down. She appeared to be having a good time practicing her quirk.
Something she asked however piqued the interest of the young Chronicler. "What do I chronicle, hmm?" Kaz crosses his arms and nods a bit, letting out a small smug smirk. "What indeed do I chronicle? Well that is the big question, now isn't it? For that is the beauty of Chronicling! It can be anything that the world desires, or whatever has unlocked their potential! For you see, I'm not sure if you are aware, but within this world lies wonderful events that no one will ever know of unless someone writes them all down! The duty of a Chronicler is to protect those memories and keep them entrapped within the world's memories. And among all those events lies the nexus of all them, The Chosen Ones! Those who have obtained their potential to the maximum and can lead the world into a brand new future, opening the eyes of several people! Examples would include The Shining Blade Eli and the Voltic Yumi, among many many others. That!" He points at Tess, "Is what I chronicle!"
Anyone with common sense can tell that all of this translates to "I like writing down cool things and fanboy over cool people."
He nods at himself, self assured. He didn't plan to record anything, but the mere mention of chronicling makes him a bit tempted to. The power of words, one would say. He looks at Tess again, looking at her glove. "Do you suppose your power could intrigue the world? Like what exactly do you do again?" A bit curious, Kaz tries to ask her about her quirk.

That’s not how my Quirk works…, Miss Faraday thought to herself, somehow maintaining a straight and friendly face despite Kazu’s complete misunderstanding and bizarrely mundane assumptions. She was pretty sure, as a classmate, that he knew the basics of how her Quirk worked. Apparently, that was not the case. Even so, he seemed happy (if a tad melodramatic) to explain his duty of Chronicler to her. That was a good start, so she believed, even if his exaggerated explanation initially flew over her head.
“Intrigue the world…?” Tess pondered for a moment: “I guess… Isn’t that why we’re all at U.A. anyway?” I’m not sure whether he’s an eccentric, method acting, or just has a few screws loose… Certainly, she was taken aback by her fellow first year’s behavioural habits. Even in a world of Quirk users the human psyche remained the most unintelligible thing of all. She wasn’t about to let her personal apprehension put him down though.
“What I mean to say is: You chose the right place, didn’t you? I hope you get to meet many a ‘Chosen One’ and chronicle everything there is to chronicle, Kazu!” Tess beamed, clapping her hands together and meshing her fingers. She couldn’t help but bounce on the spot a little, radiating enthusiasm for her company. Hopefully he would appreciate her token gesture and not see it as mockery or deceit.
“Oh, my Quirk! Well,” she began to explain, assisting with a visual cue. Gloved palm held flat and facing the sky, she primed her bare hand beside it. “Whenever I rub my hands or feet against something I can make it attracted to or repelled by other objects that I’ve recently rubbed! If I use it right, I can climb walls, jump higher, or make objects curve towards a target. I’m pretty sure there are plenty of other ways I can use it, too!” As she spoke, she rubbed her palms together, dragging exposed skin across the glove’s surface. However, caught up in this unexpected and awkward encounter, the grey-haired girl had forgotten just how much and of what polarity she had previously used today…
Positive.
“Mm… But,” she sighed. The red and blue licks of hair that had previously bobbed in the breeze fell - indicative of a sudden loss of enthusiasm - and drooped down over her face. A cheery smile turned into a rather bored, blank, tired expression. “What’s the use of practicing my Quirk? What’s the point in chronicling anything if you’ve no idea if anyone’s even going to read it…?”

Ah yes, of course, she gets it! Either that or she's simply playing along to not make a huge fuss, but hey, that's something. It's nice to have some encouragement during a time in need. Those stupid birds, how dare they try to...well no matter. "Ahah, see, someone gets it." For now, Kaz has been pacified with the notion of someone enjoying his impromptu speech, and has long forgotten those stupid birds who didn't show up for some good ol' fashioned birdwatching. He usually would have something more...grand of sort, but see, that's the beauty of being a Chronicler: one does not need to truly prepare if you have a concept to rejoice or explain! it's already engrained in one's heart, unlike other potential speech material.
She's also not wrong about why they were all there. It is true that everyone in UA (barring the occasional jerk) has the potential to be a chosen one, and as the chronicler of the world, he needs to aid them in achieving that...though not by just simply acting as a stepping stone. Yes, sure, that is a noble intention, but to be a proper Chronicler, he needs to stand tall among the others and achieve his own potential...although there is no rush, after all. His needs are less important than the chosen ones, since they need to obtain their glory first and foremost....man quirks are cool, all these cool powers and all these cool people with those cool powers, he still can't believe he got picked for UA...oh right! She's talking about her quirk, crap.
Kaz snapped from his mind rant to pay attention to Tess's explanation about her quirk. Oh, so her glove isn't just a fashionable or cool detail, but it is indeed a conduit!...well not the way he thought it was, but it was a way to achieve her power. Through the simple usage of static and rubbing one's hands, from that alone she can make something attract or repel. That sounds like a potential powerful quirk, just think of all of the potential moves you can do with that! Like...boomerang swords! Or...um...wall runn- oh she did mentioned something like that...like boomerang swords! That sound cool as hell! Plus that rubbing the glove feature has a lot of potential to look cool. All she needs to do is a cool swift movement, or maybe a cool transformation move suiting her bombastic personality...hold on, why does her hair looks like it's drooping? Like it's just two licks but, still.
That wasn't the only thing that changed. Her sunny disposition has switched to a gloomy personality. It's as if someone flipped a coin and it landed on tails, only for someone to step on it and rub it down on the dirt while complaining about the weather. This is a bit weird, and it kinda reminds him of that time his sister went through a similar phase like this for a couple of months...and it was horrible! Kaz doesn't want to put up with that nonsense again, and it's weird seeing a fellow student suddenly being like this. "U-um, I mean, it's more for me to read cause its my d-I mean, don't worry, your quirk has several potential uses! Like, think about this! Applying an "attract" field on both a projectile and your opponent! Think about it, boomerang swords!" He smiles at the notion of boomerang homing swords. It's such a cool thing to think about: you can't escape the thrown sword! How can you not like that?

Silence.
“Meh,” Tess replied, but not before allowing her acquaintance to stand in awkward silence for a few excruciatingly long seconds. Indeed, she had considered and even experimented with many a use of her Quirk in the past, though not to any noticeable extreme. But what was the point in trying these things with her Quirk? What was the point in trying to make ‘Boomerang Swords’? Well, she was certainly going to tell him how she felt about that.
“I could. But even if I do somehow manage to put my Quirk’s field on them - that’s a big if considering I have to be able to get close to them first - there’s nothing stopping them from just grabbing the sword by the handle.” Her critical outlook continued unabated, pouring down like rain. “And there’s no guarantee it’ll even fly blade first if I throw it… If I even can throw it; swords are heavy. Speaking of which, what happens when they throw it back at me? I’ll just get impaled or cut in half by a sword I can’t run from and that’s not a risk I’m willing to take.”
Miss Faraday paused, realising something.
“Why do you even bother keeping a diary?” she asked - she berated. It didn’t take a genius to figure out that Kazu’s ‘chronicling’ was literally just him jotting down his personal thoughts, but it really was his mention of it being more for his eyes that had tipped Tess off. Seeing the world as she was now, all she could do was critique her classmate’s words as she let herself drop into a cross-legged position on the grass. “If you’re not going to let others read your chronicles, then you’re only wasting your own time… Though I guess all we’ve got is time to waste.”
As she spoke, monotonous as her tones were, the girl picked up another pebble and started fidgeting with it. She wasn’t trying to be critical of the fellow first year’s habits or ideas, it just seemed to slip out, and some of that oppressive negativity was starting to seep into the stone she toyed with…

Meh? Man is she a downer, Kazu pondered as she responded with a simple phrase of disinterest. Gotta have some sort of creativity in your ability even if it’s impossible to perform in reality. Like, chosen one Yumi can FLY with her powers, and old chosen one Eli can make diamond drones, you don’t really expect that from their quirks. This attitude of her is really negatively affecting her potential and it’s really worrying. Seriously, did he say something that just…made her switch? Is this common? Is this a possible roadblock for her? So many questions to ask and so few are answered at this moment.
Yeah sure, boomerang swords are unwieldy for regular people, that’s super obvious. But this is a quirk we re talking about, anything can happen honestly. He can make swords with his quirk, as if it was ripped off of a show or book. With some creative thinking, you can totally make swords that can home in a specific place that you throw at. Perhaps if he changes the density to be less solid and make it curved...aw man he’s now even more excited for that idea! He has to convince her to help out, it s the perfect layout! Static, swords, the sky’s the limit. Kaz was about to open his mouth when she went in.
Oh boy, she figured out that it was his daily diary slash journal. That’s never a good sign... Wow! She just really went there, huh? After she rubbed her hands it was like some sort of different person replaced her? Kaz frowned a bit as she went on about how kinda useless it was to chronicle/write down things, about how a waste it was, and how much time he wasted. All these “insults” of sort are personally attacking the chronicler’s character, how dare she! That is insulting, that is outrageous, that is…
That is not the first time Kazu has heard this. At this point he really isn’t phased by this comment. He's just doing it for fun and for practice, and maybe later on use it as material for a story, who knows? Kurusu insulting him got him riled up, but this was more...depressive? Yeah, depressive is a good word for this situation. It’s more depressive for her than for him if he’s being honest. Kazu shrugs and let’s out a small chuckle. “Eh, at least it’s better writingit down than yelling it outloud.” He looks at the pebble she's holding. “Besides, don’t put yourself down. You know, it doesn’t really have to be a sword. Hmmm… “ he ponders, then looks at the tree. “How about you, hmm...make this rock and tree attract, and throw the rock at the trunk?”

Kazu seemed to take her criticisms rather well, all things considered. Admittedly, Tess was not in the right state of mind to really see it, instead just idly accepting the young man’s words as pointless babbling. That’s just how it was, right? Every word a wasted puff of air from one’s lungs and a simple vibration of vocal cords, weaving together to create a series of complicated grunts that - when you got right down to it - served no real purpose. He certainly had a point.
“I guess I could… I don’t see the point, but it can’t hurt,” Miss Faraday obliged flatly. Her Quirker companion really wanted to see a basic demonstration? Hadn’t he seen this before? Out of principle, she humoured him, allowing Polarity Shift to work its magnetic magic upon the stone she held. Then, she made to place the stone in her gloved hand, but struggled. An invisible force pushed her hands away from each other, denying the exchange.
…Sigh… “Even my own Quirk is working against me,” Tess mumbled defeatedly. What little positivity remained did at least seem to spark some interest in trying, though she was unsure of whether or not it was to prove a point. Maybe showing him how simple and ineffective her Quirk was would make him see the world through her eyes and allow him the insight he seemed to lack.
I’ll just leave it here and come back after I’ve touched the tree, the magnetic maiden told herself, dropping the pebble in the grass where she stood and walking over to press her palm against the bark. Coarse and thick and cracked from weathering in some places, it was almost like rubbing her hand on sandpaper. She wasn’t too careful about the abrasion; any cuts and scrapes would heal naturally anyway. Was that the positivity or the negativity speaking?
…! Regardless of the answer, enlightenment soon sparked a flame in the girl’s heart and soul. Like an immense weight being lifted from her shoulders, Tess immediately perked up. The gloom faded. The cowlicks of red and blue lifted from in front of her eyes once more and a soft smile resumed its pride of place upon her face as she turned to Kazu… only to see the pebble she’d magnetised hurtling towards her. Never mind him viewing the world through her eyes; she was about to receive an accidental taste of her own medicine!
SMACK! “Owww~!” Dropping backwards against the tree, and then forwards onto hands and knees, the silver-haired student somehow managed to keep herself steady despite received a rock to the forehead. Said stone had since bounced off her skull and stuck itself to the patch of charged bark…

It looks like his words have managed to convince her, that's good. See, it's always better to think on the bright side rather than staying all sad and depressed and gloomy. That's no fun, for you and for others around you...but mainly for others around you since you know, if you're going to be a downer at least do what Kaz's sister did and shove herself in her room a lot of times during that phase of hers. Still, he was curious to see just this power worked. Yeah sure, he saw her generate static but he wants to see it applied, to be done in action. "There, see? No harm in trying! Maybe. Hopefully." He nervously chuckles. You can never expect what will happen...although with her moody yet nonchalant way she approached the tree, it probably will be fine. She knows what's she doing.
Kaz looks upon her rubbing her hand against the bark, and a pop thought up in his mind. Wait. Isn't that a surefire way to get blisters...eeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeh it'll be fine. It'll be fine. He looks around a bit, as if he's second guessing himself, but still certain that nothing will go wrong. He looks at the rock that she was playing around with. So these things are meant to attract, right? So it's like, one positive and the other negative, like magnets? So then if things go right, then the rock will be attracted to the tree and zip right there, since it's nearby. In fact, that's kinda cool that it has a slightly wider ranger than expected. He assumed it would be like more closer, hence the throwing part. She looks back at him and...huh wait why are those two hair strands back in the air...eh, no matter.
In hindsight, it was a bit too close, since the rock slowly started to move towards the tree's charged spot....in the direction of Tess herself. Right in the forehead, knocking her down, and later sticking itself onto the bark. Kazu winches a bit and unknowingly rubs his forehead a bit. Is this karma, or just bad comedy? "Oh cr-Hey, you alright?" He walks up to her and reaches out a hand. "It, um, stings more than you expect, right?" He tries to make light of the situation, but he still's a bit nervous and worried that nothing major happened. At least it worked. He wouldn't want to say that right now.

That’s going to leave a mark… Despite this being no laughing matter, Tess Faraday could not help but wear a smile upon her face. It was almost laughable that her own Quirk had betrayed her; karmic retribution on Kazu’s behalf. However, regardless of whether or not Mister Fureu agreed on that front, he was at least expressing concern. A gentleman he was.
“I’m f- fine…! I just,” she winced: “I wasn’t expecting that to happen.” She raised her hand to her noggin. There was definitely a small lump already forming on her head, tender to the touch. No blood at least. Even the most minute of head wounds tended to bleed profusely, and that would have drawn a lot of unwanted attention. Her Quirk was always subtle enough in most situations that she could afford to make minor uses of it without alerting passersby. The lack of a visual cue could even leave people guessing as to whether or not she’d used it - and that sometimes included herself.
“It’s… It’s sore, but I’ll be fine,” Tess confirmed, taking the offered hand and rising to her feet. At least her mood had elevated. What was the math? Two negatives make a positive? In this case it was true, albeit metaphorically. Blue eyes refocused on Kaz as she looked to his hand.
“It sure does!” Her reply was chirpy, but something else came to mind. With an excitable clap of her hands, she voiced her thoughts, now bubbling with an enthusiasm that had previously been null and void. “Oh! I just had an idea! Maybe when we get a chance back at U.A., we can practice using our Quirks together! I always had the idea that Polarity Shift works better with helping others, and if I remember your Quirk right, then it’s a perfect match!”

Hmm, now that is strange. All of a sudden, the gloomy and depressive girl seems more more expressive than the previous state she was in. That seems weird. Kaz grab's Tess's hand and gets her back on her feet, with a small bump on her head. "A-are you alright?" He asks her if the rock managed to do anything major to her. Sure, she says it's just a sore bump on the forehead, but still. One shouldn't try to hide one's injuries no matter how big or small they are. If he were to get hurt, he would always make sure someone knows the first chance he gets (Like that time he got hit in the shoulder by a sword).
...Wait why is she back to being happy? Okay, no, why is she back to normal this doesn't make sense. Like first of all she was like "oh it's not worth wanting to chronicle if anyone else can read it,' but now, after this little show of power she's back to "hey lets hang out and practice!" It seems a bit weird, right? Is it actually related to her quirk or something? She did call it Polarity Shift, like positive and negative...maybe? He should really ask that thing, but how would he word it? Would it be like, "Hey why do you become a depressed person after using your quirk?" or would it be "Are you a mood-swinger thanks to your quirk?" Can he say things like that at this time? Should he? Well, maybe! I mean, she is asking him to practice in school, so he needs to know just what capacity and dangers she could bring into the equation. Well, to be fair, there are far more dangerous people in UA than her.
"Oh, you're sounding more positive! Interesting, just a moment ago you were all dark and gloomy...Interesting. Very interesting. Hmmmm....you know that does indeed sound enticing. Plus, we are in the same classroom so realistically we can meet up and organize a training session whenever. I think we can do it in any training facility at the campus, unless of course the outdoors seem more interesting to you. With my Metal and your Polarity, we will be...well we'll see, this is why we're training after all." He nods in agreement. This is a good thing, Kaz ponders to himself, to gather up more people to aid him in his development as a chronicler. Plus he can see her potential growing, perhaps one day it will reach the top and push her to the status that is chosen one like Eli and Yumi. Only time will tell, however. " Your quirk I feel is a great stepping stone for you as well as others. Maybe even good enough for Boomerang swords." Kaz gets giddy at the idea of his dumb anime idea becoming possibly true, then snaps back to the conversation. "O-oh right! Well then...what does your schedule look like so far? Any available times to meet up and do a quick training session?"
