❝You're showing me colours of the sky, But all I see is Grey❞ 414 w. kenjutsu-f | reinforcement-f | radiant dawn-d | Medical Knowledge- e Relena Tsuruya had spent most of the day in quite the due haste! While she had indeed performed her morning routine and said a fond farewell to her kitty, Relena was excited about everything she had accomplished thus far! She made sure to clean up the class room after their 2-A's session had concluded and in that time she pondered her life up until this point.
To think that every adult she looked up to before UA had lied to her and manipulated her in some way. Only her Mother had been kind to her, yet she was the one taken so early from her life. Kenshiro, her uncle, had slain Viktoria in cold blood and expected Relena to be his atonement. But then that begged the question: Was she Relena Tsuruya? Or Relena Venkov? It was troubling to her and the blonde girl just wanted to get her mind off it.
The one constant in her life aside from her schoolwork and apprenticeship to Nimue was Risaka. If she hadn't have been there, Relena would have lacked the courage to reunite with her Mother's spirit. To have the strength to merely knock out her Uncle and not kill him.
And so, as she returned later that day to her dorm room, Relena looked upon the ornate sword hilt that still lay dormant on her coffee table. Shining Force. It was her Mother's vigilante name and one that Relena had chosen to undertake. She swore on that day that she would be a hero and not the killer that her Father was. Yet heroes also needed a break from time to time. So she sent Risaka a message, asking her out on a date in Tokyo. Just the two of them.
And so Relena had booked two tickets for a bus to Tokyo the following day. She didn't care what they did once they got there, but Relena wanted to spend the day with Risaka. She just needed to let her know that she loved her.
On that day, she ran to the gray girl's room. She wasn't in her usual shirt and skirt outfit today, but in a special white summer dress that she only wore on rare occasion. It was a bit creamy in color with a big bow on the waist and a see through shawl to partly cover her up. The girl even wore nice white heels for the day!
She hoped Risaka would approve as she gently knocked on the door to get her attention.

RISAKA REINACHTSecond Year U.A / Miss Gray
''Everyday I ask myself if I even should bother'' words 776 • tagged @ • notes | Today wasn't a very good day for Risaka, by default she sees every day somehow negative, to not let herself get optimistic thoughts. She was by awfully grumpy, her gloomy aura was bigger than usual during class, sitting in the bottom corner with her own thoughts while her blue teacher spouted out the usual strict lessons. But it wasn't that what made her awfully down today. In the morning when she woke up she got a direct mail to her dorm. It was an official letter from the intenrational investigative forces, the international police to say the least. But she was familiar to this kind of letter, she always recieved one or two every year, and each time she got one her glare grew harsher when looking down at the envelope.
''Get yourself a new hobby already you fucking geezer.''
Sitting by her dorm desk she lazily slapped the envelope on the desk and crossed her arms, staring it harder, thinking if she even should bother reading it this time, because she can already guess what was writtin inside. ''Wish I could just make him stop thinking I am his property, why can't he just pass away or retire like others?'' She spun her chair, sighing out lazily with her arms stretched, trying to get her mind off things, the sun was already beginning to descend, with the small beams of lighting shooting through the curtains moving across the room. She kinda just sat there, but inside her head it was a raging storm of frustration. Within a mere five second silence she spun her chair right back towards her desk.
''I fucking hate this..'' She spoke to herself while swiftly tearing the lid of the envelope, letting the paper slide out and fold it out into a neat A4 format. Her eyes was half closed and awfully unamused, reading down all of these formal officials lines written directly by him only made her feel a disgusted feeling. ''I am just like every other witnesses in your cases, aren't I father?'' Her eyes then got to the end, reading her father's name just like every year she recieved this kind of letter. ''Move on Gustav Reinacht, you absolute worthless of air, I won't cooperate with that old case anymore..''
She crumbled the paper with her teeth gritting, feeling cheated on just by the fact she read the letter, what did she expect really, nothing new. She tossed the ball of paper towards the bin, but it hits the edge and barely lands outside. She huffs out and slides a fresh paper and a pen. ''If I don't send a response back he'll keep sending until I do... fucker.'' Just as she was about to write down the words her phone vibrates in her pocket. Usually she wouldn't even bother with it, but anything else other than writing a cursed letter is better. Reading what she recieved from Relena made her smile just so faintly, but most important it eased her mind a little bit. ''Didn't know you were that kind of girl... Tokyo is a busy place near the evening, but fuck it.''
The next day arrived and Risaka was just getting changed, a gray blouse and smooth pants with a coat to the mix. Just as she was prepping the hairclip on her bangs she heard the door knocking. ''Yes yes, one moment..'' She finally got it in place, her hair was difficult to work with, but one she has gotten used to. She approached the door just as she was strapping the coat tight to her waist, opening the door to reveal Relena in her formal attire, which really made her look really appealing for the monochrome lass. ''Oh.... oh wow, I didn't take you for having good taste, never seen that dress before... uhm, yeah, it suits you well, Relena.'' Master of compliments, Risaka knew she wasn't great to show emotions in words, but Relena knew her very well enough to know those words meant more than genuinity itself. ''...I, I kinda don't have that many outfits, not the kind to be used outside, so I'm sorry if I don't look as prepared like you.'' Risaka stepped out, likely already giving Relena a deep kiss right before closing the door behind her. ''So, what is this show exactly? Never heard of it before, so imagine it must be new, I've never been one for stageplays to be quiet frank with you.'' Wrapping one arm around Relena's as they both walked out of the domr building together. |

❝You're showing me colours of the sky, But all I see is Grey❞ 245 w. kenjutsu-f | reinforcement-f | radiant dawn-d | Medical Knowledge- e She give a small spin while laughing happily at the look on Risaka's face. She didn't wear dresses as often as she should, so this was a nice change of pace. To be honest, Relena was worried at how the gray girl would react to seeing it and she was quite pleased by the response! Risaka herself looked very nice as well! It made Relena blush to hear her be complimented so.
"Oh, why thank you! You are quite amazing as well! But yes, I am very excited to see this show. I do not get much chance to experience such and I adore plays!"
She took Risaka's arm in hers as well and was escorted to the station where they caught the bus to Tokyo. The girl spent most of the time staring out the window with wide eyed wonder at all the sights on the way there. How excited she was to see the city since she rarely left Musutafu!
It took some time to arrive, but it didn't seem as such to Relena who pointed and cheered at every little thing. But once getting off the transit, she was even more overwhelmed at the bustling streets.
"Oh wow! Risa, look at how wondrous the city is! Gosh, how I want to explore all of it! But then we would miss the play...later mayhaps. Come dearest one!"
She took Risaka by the hand, laughing and giggling the entire time as she pulled her girlfriend along to the theatre.

RISAKA REINACHTSecond Year U.A / Miss Gray
''Everyday I ask myself if I even should bother'' words 373 • tagged @ • notes | It felt like a wonderous feeling for the Gray girl to be doing something with someone significant, infact she has never been to these theatres, nor has she ever imagined what the entertainment side of the city was like. On the bus with Relena big eyeing at the commercials on the streets she simply sat with crossed arms, not being intrigued by the lively outside. ''Don't know why you are so into these flashy stuff, the colours and brightness to these signs hurts my eyes almost..'' Despite being a complete introvert towards commercial community she stood by Relena's side all the way, being her lover and holding her arm with a sense of selfpride, this blonde lady was hers and she shouldn't be hesitant to express so. However for Risaka she just wanted to get the theatre play out of the way, she had low expectations from it.
Being practically dragged by her beloved blonde Risaka could only respond back with unamused stares with a low noticable grunt, but ultimately follows Relena through and out. ''You should relax, it'd take us years to even explore each street, let's just leave it at that..'' There was no reason from them to get caught by every single shop on the way, the entrance to the exclusive looking theatre made Risaka tilt her head with a suspicious glare. ''Does theatre plays.... really get this well funded? This darn place looks more modern than our school for crying out loud, unbelievable..'' Risaka showed a clear unmotivated attitude to this visit, what was the play again? Romoe and Juliet? Risaka thought that sort of story belonged to storyteller books for children. ''This place better be worth the price of those tickets, or our time for that matter.'' She gave Relena a stare, tugging her close to the gray body of hers, walking through the hallway to the entertainment hall. ''Remember Relena, this is just a play, don't try to take inspiration from it..'' If Risaka knew her significant other well enough she could predict that the blonde would wanna recreate a few scenes of such tale, Risaka know of it afterall. |

❝You're showing me colours of the sky, But all I see is Grey❞ 432 w. kenjutsu-f | reinforcement-f | radiant dawn-d | Medical Knowledge- e In all of her excitement, dancing around and laughing, Relena had not thought of Risaka's own feelings. The girl was not one for overly flashy things or brightness in general, which was always an interesting facet of their relationship to the blonde girl. But now, as she was taken by the arm, she tilted her head with a look of worry.
"Oh um...I truly am sorry. In my quest, it had not dawned upon me that you would not be happy. Twas rude of me, dearest one, and I apologise. I simply yearn for tales of bravery and romance! Though this one also has a strong theme of tragedy, so tis one of my favorites!"
She did oh so hope that the two of them would enjoy themselves, especially since Relena never had been to a real play before! It did upset her to see Risaka look unhappy, so the girl leaned in and stood on her tip toes to kiss Risa on the cheek. She blushed as she did, giggling happily.
"Thank you for putting up with my nonsense! I promise that we can do something fun when we get back. Deal?"
The theatre itself was a bit smaller than she thought it would be. Then again the tickets were also positioned in the far side and slightly cheaper than the girl understood. As they took their seats, Relena took Risa's hand in hers and smiled. Yet when the play started, she did not spot the leads. It was true that it began with Tybalt murdering some random thugs, but as it went on...she did not understand.
A pudgy man in a bowler hat came out and bowed to the audience. "I apologise for the inconvenience, ladies and gentlemen! Our stars have unfortunately suffered a drastic accident and cannot perform for you today! Refunds will be given and we will inform you all when production will resume."
Relena would not stand for this. She rose to her full height, which wasn't much, but her glow demanded attention. Her eyes glared at the man as she pointed directly at him. No way was her day going to be ruined!
"No! If you shall have me, I will take the role of Juliet! I understand the lines and my partner here is a professional in the art of literature. We shall be your Romeo and Juliet!"
The man clapped his hands together with a bawdy laugh and gestured for them to approach the stage. "Then ladies and gentlemen, we shall have a quick intermission and return momentarily."
Relena gave Risaka a big smile as she gestured for her to follow her glow.

RISAKA REINACHTSecond Year U.A / Miss Gray
''Everyday I ask myself if I even should bother'' words 478 • tagged @ • notes | Risaka merely rolled her eyes gently to the side from Relena's assurement, but it was gladly accepted, the cheek kiss made Risaka respond back with one to Relena's left temple. ''Don't mind what I find fun, I rarely find things fun, let's just try to enjoy this show, I know you will greatly enjoy it.'' She knew that she couldn't keep up with the gloomy attitude, she was there to support Relena and make her happy, and if it meant to join a theatre play then so be it, Risaka is not a quitter.
''Your happiness will be my happiness, that's all that matters.'' They both sat down on the small theatre room, well, small comapred to those she has seen, this felt more like a reserved place. The gray lass tuigged her sides as she sitting comfortably, her hands crossed and watched at the stage with half closed eyes, more than ready to snooze through the play while her beloved blonde admired the play with glimering eyes. The room went silent, the light went dim and seemingly gone, but the stage glow up with brightness, and thus the play started, Risaka's head leaning on her right palm, she didn't even pay attention to how Relena was observing the play, likely with a beaming expression. ''This can't last too long can it? I wonder how Relena got into tales, I only know of this due to reading about famous riddles and crimes, many criminals took inspiration from classical plays, oddly enough.'' She gave a minor yawn, right until the man in bowler hat gave his announcement.
Risaka shrugged and stretched her arms. ''Oh well, nothing can go as planned always, now can it, Rele-'' Her own words was overshadowed by Relena's expressive offer, standing tall with her bright quirk coming into play, and that got the entire theatre's attention just like that, everyone staring at the both. Of course Relena brought Risaka into this, claiming Risaka to be a literature expert. ''Ehm, Relena, what do you think you're doing!'' Risaka attempted to grab her attention with her low voice, but by the looks of it Relena was more than ready to get into action. She saw Relena's excitement and happiness despite the actors not being present, for all Risaka know Relena might see this as fate. ''Oh no oh no, this is not happening, she expects me on stage?!'' Risaka had her mind flow with panicky thoughts, what would she do? What could she do? She did say that Relena's happiness was her happiness, better stand up for those words. ''Ugh, f-fine fine, we'll do it..'' Risaka gathered up her courage finally and followed Relena, but already she disliked being watched by everyone in the theatre room. ''Please end this quickly..'' |

❝You're showing me colours of the sky, But all I see is Grey❞ 301 w. kenjutsu-f | reinforcement-f | radiant dawn-d | Medical Knowledge- e As they made their way back stage, Relena was still at the peak of her rebellious attitude toward life trying to interfere with her date. She set her gaze forward with a firm look of conviction all the way until she had actually stepped into the back. She peered toward Risaka and saw the look on her face, only then realizing what she had just done. In her arrogance, Relena had forced the gray girl into this predicament! Her eyes widened at the thought she had made Risa uncomfortable with this.
"O-Oh...Risa, I am so sorry. But this is what heroes do. We save the day with a big smile on our face! I know this play's ins and outs, so just follow my lead and make things up as we go, alright? Could be fun to see our own interpretation of this, eh?"
She winked at Risaka as another man approached them. He was a big, jovial looking man with a handlebar mustache and a big grin on his face.
"Thank you so much for saving this! I don't think we would have been able to back out and we'd be ruined for both finances and reputation! If there's any way you can save this production, I'd appreciate it!"
Relena nodded with an equally wide grin. "We're heroes from UA, sir. It'll be a pleasure to help out! Just know that we might change up some of the dialogue, if that's alright."
He nodded firmly and ushered the two girls to the dressing room where their costumes would be waiting for them. They were gaudy and ridiculous with bright colors, but Relena just laughed in joy as she stepped into the changing area with Risa.
"Well? I do not believe I can slip into this dress myself. Do you think my knight could help me out?"

RISAKA REINACHTSecond Year U.A / Miss Gray
''Everyday I ask myself if I even should bother'' words 593 • tagged @ • notes | Risaka was speechless to where she was standing, just what is her blonde lover up to? What is she even thinking? Risaka doesn't have any acting skills nor does she even have an artistic personality, she was gray and so was her personality and attitude. She sighed out heavily, even in her mind she sighed, what could she even say? She wanted her lover to be happy, but clearly her own low effort lifestyle is making it hard for Relena to realize this was never really Risaka's thing. However, the gray lass wanted Relena to smile, because that's the best side of the blonde cutie, someone who's able to smile despite having the reincarnation of depression by her side. Risaka held her arms together and looked around, silent to Relena's words, but ultimately she nodded, there was no turning back from this anyway. ''Let's just get this over with, we're not in our hero outfits nor do we even have the license to do herowork... not that this kind of aid is considered herowork.'' At least to Risaka it was just a small unfortunate case, but it was clear as day that Relena saw this as a crisis, let's just hope that Risaka's play in this doesn't make it into a disaster.
The big man had approached them, he seemed awfully okay with this despite both of the girls are complete strangers to this theatre, maybe Risaka simply did not understand them. She kept quiet during the small talk between him and Relena, Risaka just stood there and paid her attention to somewhere else, hoping for the very slim chance that all of this was just a dream. They both got directed to the dressing room where Risaka blinked in a confused manner, this place looked like a mess with too many colourful attires laying around. ''I'm starting to get coloursickness from watching this room...'' Letting some of her negative thoughts out she got her attention back to Relena, seeing her attempting to get into a dress, apparently Relena wanted the gray lass to be her knight, Risaka has never worn an armor. ''Sigh, do you promise this to be the only thing I need to do? There's a reason why I wish to do my herowork in the dark at night.'' Risaka stepped forward and aided her blonde princess into the colourful attire, what kind of princess dress was this anyway? No matter, Risaka tightened the corset and tied the threads on Relena's back.
''Do you honestly enjoy dresses like these? They look uncomfortable..'' But far from uncomfortable as the set of rubber knight armor nearby, Risaka felt an aggravating tension in her core just by looking at the armor outfit, it looked clunky and something she'd easily trip in. '*Can't believe I am doing this... can't I just wear my normal attire?...'' But with the eyes of Relena being the prettiest pair of puppy eyes it quickly convinced Risaka that there was little choice, how could she say no to her blonde? In a solid minute or two Risaka was already in the rubber armor, luckily not made out of iron, not that it'd be an issue for her to carry anyway. She put on the knight cape on, and finally the helmet, which admittedly fit her headsize nicely, not that was a good thing in her mind, she preferred no headwear. ''I look stupid, ridiculou, no wonder knight are no longer a thing..'' |

❝You're showing me colours of the sky, But all I see is Grey❞ 314 w. kenjutsu-f | reinforcement-f | radiant dawn-d | Medical Knowledge- e She couldn't really help but frown ever so slightly at Risaka. Relena knew that this was something completely out of the girl's comfort zone and honestly...a few months ago it would have been something the blonde would never do either. And yet here they were because even the smallest thing like a play being saved was not beneath a hero. Though she did realize that the bright colors were more than likely causing great discomfort to her significant other, which worried her quite immensely.
"I am so terribly sorry, Risa. Growing up...I suppose I always wanted to know what it felt like. To be fawned over, so yes these kind of things interest me."
She felt the threads tighten around her body and let out a small gasp at the pressure, but recovered shortly afterward. Risa herself had donned the armor clad outfit which made the blonde girl smile happily. Romeo and Juliet was seen as a romantic setting, however it was actually a tragedy. Star crossed lovers born on opposite sides of a familial struggle...despite their best efforts, the two could not be together. Only with their untimely demise would the battle end and by then it would be too late.
"You look great, Risa." Her smile was bright and radiant as she glanced at the gray girl. "Knights do still exist...I am one of them, after all. Come, let us away!"
She took a firm grip on the girl's hand and escorted her out onto the stage. Relena winked at Risa as she crossed the stage to stand in the spotlight. Her nerves were alight, but she was more than happy to be a part of this! The people looked up at her as Relena delivered her lines, though a bit more impromptu but that was to be expected.
She smiled from across the stage to Risaka with her hand held outward.
"Romeo Romeo, wherefore art thou, Romeo?"
