Things had been strange of late as so much seemed to be happening, The problems with Thunder finally becoming a big issue out in the open. Her interactions with pesky vigilantes. So many of her rivals seeming to be making moves of their own as well she had trouble keeping tabs on if even knowing about them at all even in some cases. She puffed lightly on a cigarette outside one of her main homes. The family home kept hidden on her own land. Security and proper technology in place to keep her home discreet and well protected. She pared no expense when it came to properly arming the family manor after what happened with Thunder when she came into power under those dark circumstances. It wasn't to far out of town truthfully but enough that one might enjoy the view of the country in one direction and roughly into the city in the other.
A few various scraps of food lay on a table behind her as she sat at the edge of a wooden patio in the courtyard at the back of the house. The warm smoke feeling her lungs and flooding outward in small clouds of smoke before her as she tried her best to relax and find some peace with all that had happened. Venturing out wasn't in the cards tonight as important things within the manor needed her attention tonight. Things she cared dearly for but had to protect... Until Thunder was fully taken care of or at least pushed out of her controlled territory she couldn't take risks until such things came to fruition. Sighing lightly as she looked up at the sky beyond the protective walls surrounding most the house aht normal people may have had trouble with. But maybe people wasn't what would stumble upon her this day.

#### words ft. nori narumi A small black cat moved quietly over the fences between massive properties, silent as a shadow and just as quick. Today, he was naked-- which is to say, he wasn't wearing his bow. Mostly, Kuro was looking for interesting things… but first, he needed to find a way down. Getting up on the fence was almost too easy. Getting down… something else entirely.
He crossed onto a stone wall, something thick and very tall. And as Kuro scampered along, he saw a small gardening shed, only a meter down from the crest of the wall. Hmmm, that could work! With a deft movement, he leapt to the roof of the shed, and then he dropped to the ground, landing with a crunch in the detritus from the trees. What was this place…? It was like a forest in the middle of the city.
Kuro's tail flicked and, unprovoked, he took off running into the woods, fueled by a spark of wanderlust. There were bugs too chase, and smells to smell, and why, Kuro was considering claiming these woods as his own.
The house came out of nowhere, a jarring geometric monolith in this sea of organic shapes. Kuro came to a halt, bristling slightly. Ugh, people?! People ruined everything!! Still, this warranted an investigation-- maybe they'd feed him!! The small cat padded along close to the wall of the house, tail alert and nose to the air. He needed to find a point of entry.

She sat casually and in near silence with mainly just the sound of the wind and nature to keep her company for the time. A relaxed sensation of solitude slowly washing over her. Tapping a cigarette lightly from time to time in the small ash tray by her side. Somber embers glowing at the end of her cigarette. The cool breeze helping her relax along with each soothing puff she took. She tilted her head lightly off to the side curious for a moment or two as she though she heard the shifting of ground or something scratching perhaps time and time again. She wondered if it was some rodent perhaps... The manor so far out near the forest at times could attract the odd animal or two that might come scrounging for scraps.
She had plenty of faith if it was anything of real danger the security would have already caught onto it and let her know what the situation was. Since no one had called or had come running given the importance of this location she assumed it was nothing of bother. The day was to nice to allow herself to be too paranoid anyway. The sweet scent of the remaining food on the table still hitting the air from the remainder of her earlier meal. Her ear though keep catching some strange sound along the wall of protection and privacy. Her good eye keeping a careful watch tapping some ashes off her cigarette as she watched to see curiously looking for whatever was making that sound.

150 words ft. nori narumi The cat walked softly over the gravel path, the crushed granite rough beneath his paws. This was a nice place... nice enough to have paths rather than worn dirt trails around the outside. There was the faintest whiff of nicotine and ash on the air, and the cat paused. Yup. Definitely humans.
He was considering turning tail and slipping back into the woods when an entirely different scent wafted over him. Food. That was enough to warrant an investigation. Kuro walked cautiously along the path, gingerly almost. He strode right around the corner, and then--
froze. Someone was there. It was almost like she'd been waiting for him. Kuranosuke couldn't help the involuntary arch that crept into his spine, a gesture of surprise at spotting a human so soon. His tail bristled. Friend or foe? He'd soon find out.
"Mrow," the black cat greeted cautiously, the meow low and suspicious.

She turned at the sound eventually pausing in her motion as she held her cigarette lightly near her lips catching the small black cat just out of the corner of her eye. It was... a bit surprising even if she showed almost no reaction beyond her calm silent motionless stare. Such an animal was a bit out of the way. A stray that had wondered so far out perhaps? Bold as well given so few were out this way but she couldn't help eventually relent with a light scoff followed quickly by a chuckle. A brave little creature that she quickly deduced was after its prize not far off on the table. Her brow raising above her good eye as she found it amusing. Lifting from where she sat briefly moving towards the table and returning with the few scraps of baked salmon and rice. Covered in a almost sweet savory sauce as she sat back down a few moments later for the moment holding in her hand. "Clever creature are we? Managing to sneak so deep into one of my private homes? You're stealth is admirable small one." Jesting lightly as if the animal could understand her. More so just being playful as people often do finding her self amused by the cute creature.
Leaning down briefly she'd place the small plate on the ground as it clacked lightly upon the ground. Not yet offering a hand to touch the cat or risking petting it yet. Waiting to get a feel for how it might behave to gesture of food first. She took a breath and relaxed smiling at the small creature. Something about it reminding her of when she was a small girl and still had time for such things more. Being a small child heir to such a family gave way to many fanciful things. As hard as she was didn't mean she didn't have a heart for such things still.
