He always wondered what would be the use to this world if people did not understand the necessary needs of music. Music was an enlightenment, music meant that you would know how to work with your emotions, translate it to the notes played on the piano or the words of the lyrics in the song. He did not want to be cruel to the hard working boys and girls that were trying so hard to make their way into the music industry, he admired their perseverance but it was not it for him. Those new artists were not it for him.
He liked the delicacy of a violin, the joy of a saxophone and the rhythm of the piano. He just had not found it in himself anymore to continue and as he had decided he would want to guide a new talent to the steps of the world, not based on fame but based on the emotions, based on the need of that translation, based on the understanding, he could not find that. People were too obsessed to find it, spreading their words in songs to gain that fame. Some lyrics went so far away from him that he only wondered what the use and purpose of it was, like why did people want to sing such a strange song. In his time, what he focused on, he told his stories, breakup songs yes, basically crying in the recorder, no. He admired the people who did cry during their songs but mostly just the tears of emotions, he knew an artist that taught him. Ah Lea, if she could see him like this, pondering and wondering, would she tell him he was looking too far that he lost the sight of his own emotions? Maybe.
It was not new that Kaito was scrolling through the looks of Utube to find something and dear god what he found, well it wasn't all too bad, he was maybe too harsh when he let go of his emotions but it wasn't what he was looking for until he reached one clip. Rather short, but he would give everyone a try, some people could capture the heart of the listener with the first note, so you did not need many seconds for that. While he put it on he wanted to grab a can of soda and listen but he froze, truth be told, Kaito might have been a bit blind sighted by the amount of not-yet what he was looking for that he had not expected it. He turned his face back to the clip on Utube and stared at it. A wonderful sound, it almost brought him to tears, emotions. Emotions yes, this was exactly what he had been looking for! He had to find her, had to tell her to hold on to a feeling but letting go of the pain but he needed to guide her! He needed to find her yes, yes, all his time would be going into this. Luckily for him, there was a link guiding him to a website, it was rather small and the views on there not as spectacular as the ones on the Utube clip with people wondering who she was, well he was one of them, so when he found the little message with contact, he immediately clicked on it.
He wondered for a second if he should put in who he was, but that felt a bit straightforward, maybe if she replied and asked, maybe he should, he quickly added his details under the name and the greeting so she would understand he was a musician himself and that he was now trying to be a music teacher as well as producent of well, great emotional music. He stood up to get the can of soda this time, hoping to hear a pling on his computer rather shortly. The youth, they always kept up with the internet, he did that too when he was young, but now, now he rather kept up with music, good music, with soul.

Music, it always had been a part of Elise's life. Although it was a small part, a precious something which she had concealed from the outside world for so long, to her music had been a means to cope with the hardships of reality. As a child she would often play the piano, and in recent days, after the events of the Sports Festival and the realization of the current state of the hero industry, the crimson-haired lass couldn't help but find herself trying to return to that world, the world of music. To her the world of music was a place of emotions and truth, where people could express themselves in ways mere words couldn't convey. Perhaps it was for that reason she had taken up her hobby again, a decision wholeheartedly supported by her younger brother and her mother. It was for that reason Elise had also opened a small website. It was nothing big, in fact it only had a minuscule amount of viewers, but Elise often enjoyed posting small clips of songs she played. Sometimes she would play the melody of a famous anime and ask people if they recognized it, at other times she would convey a message, a collection of emotions and would ask what people thought about it. The few frequent viewers she had were in general positive, of course, there was the occasional complaint about her playing existing songs but overall the comments were favorable. People liked joining her in her little games, and seemed to like the songs she played. However, it was on a pleasant Saturday morning that the young lady came upon a rather surprising message. With Tetsuko busy training, Elise had taken the opportunity to open up the laptop in their room and check her email when a message addressed to her found its way into the mailbox. It didn't take long for Elise to read the message, and the initial feeling she had was one of bewilderment. Of course, the name was familiar to her. Kaito Arakawa, there were many things that the old man was called through his musical career. Some called him the latest generation of geniuses, the likes of Mozart, Beethoven and Chopin, some even called him the 'King of the Piano', and it was no understatement to say that the man was once heralded as one of the most famous and talented pianists in the entire world. 'Was' being the keyword here. Elise's hand reached to her chin, a thoughtful look on her face as she tried to think back on the identity of this famous musician. There were plenty of news articles, about how the man had someday suddenly retired from the world of music. He refused to perform anymore, and while there were plenty of rumors and speculations about why, a true reason or answer was never found. This, of course, fascinated Elise immensely, but it also left her curious why this man, after so many years would end up seeking her out. He invited her for a meeting in Tokyo's Park, and after a moment of consideration, Elise decided to write the man back. After all was said and done, Elise made her way to the train station in Musutafu and was on the trail of a mystery no reporter had been able to solve till now: Why did Kaito Arakawa, a man heralded as one of the greatest pianists currently alive disappear from the world of music? Fortunately the train ride to Tokyo didn't take that long, nothing a bit of daydreaming about a certain iron-blooded knight didn't solve, but at long last, she arrived at the park, her phone having a small newspaper article open as she gazed around. Still, as she spotted the man in the living flesh she couldn't help but gulp and quickly shake her head. Why? Because This was Kaito Arakawa... "For a moment I can't help but wonder if I'm looking at a future Kirk..." Elise muttered softly as she finally took the courage to approach the man and spoke, trying to surpress her earlier thoughts with her trademark cheerful smile. "Kaito-san I presume?"There were quite a few things she wanted to ask and find out about this man, but first things first. She could at least entertain him and see what he wanted from her.

Ah he had not made a mistake, he had felt the soul and the emotions in the music, the bad part was that he only heard so little and some songs were surely sounding familiar. Albeit not all of them of course. He wanted to know more, listen more and perfect it. He had never seen something where the potential was so normal and obvious and he wanted to get back into what he was good at. He was good at music, that was undeniable, even if he had not played for years for an audience, it was because he was rather without muse. But this girl brought his muse back and he would try to work together. Yes together, that was how it worked, he did not want to overload or take the precious name of something that wasn't entirely his. He want to inspire and perfect, he could imagine playing piano again, he could imagine songs when it came to the music even if he heard only a few songs and only short parts of it. He was glad to hear the immediate ping on his computer when he got the can of soda from the fridge and went to sit behind the computer again. For a second Kaito looked at the piano, maybe it would not be left to dust after all. It was finally time to start a new round of inspiration and the future of new songs with the most important part in the song: a story to tell. He looked at the wonderful foto she send with the email that allowed him to be a little thrilled to see that she agreed with meeting up with him. Well if she was going from Musutafu that would mean he got a bit of time and prepared a few things to take with him in the briefcase and he would get dressed well enough, polite enough and like a good choice of a teacher to make a good impression to meet Elise. He found the little tea shop in the middle of the park and went to sit there, with his bag against the small round stone building, he wasn't sure from which side Elise was coming but he guessed the station would be okay from this side so he would wait there patiently. While sitting down he crossed his arms and thought about what he should do, how to approach this. Elise had said that she would have some question for him too, which was good a curious mind, was the best one if you asked him. It also meant that Elise was not unaware of his name and previous reputation. Yes he had disappeared a few years ago but he was sure with the thing such as Utube that his legacy as he liked to call it would continue. He did not recall that he ever felt so excited about a meeting like this, surely with his own first concert and first call of music and to see people getting happy with the music that he made. Yes, yes, he nodded to himself while considering a few things. He did not want to admit that he got rather distracted by considering the past, he had to admit he did not like to dwell in it, he had had his best moment in the past. But that was it; the past was in the past. Ah he mused a bit on, emotions, the need for music, it never stopped, he never stopped playing because if you wanted to be good you had to continue to practice even if you could call yourself really good. But to really play the piano, he might have lost his touch, told all the stories he had to tell. He stood up when a red haired young lady showed up and asked his name, "Yes, that's me." He gave a short polite bow, "Arakawa Kaito, nice to meet you, you must be dear Elise." He could not help but call her by the now title he gave her after the email, which was maybe a bit odd but to be fair, he was enthusiastic. "Would you like to accompany me to this tea-house, it would be nice to share some drinks and talks, on me of course, after all I invited you here." The man gave a smile and invited her with a wave of his hand to walk around the building with him to join the terrace of the small establishment, it was sunny and an okay weather to sit outside and it felt less busy than the hustle and bustle of the indoors.

Despite the smile on her lips, Elise could feel the nervousness within her entire being. Indeed, even if she was skilled at hiding her feelings, it didn't mean she was capable of erasing them. And why exactly was she nervous? As a pianist herself, she obviously knew the name Arakawa Kaito, he was, by all means, a big name in the music industry, some might even call him a legend similar to how Darkshine was often revered to as one of the most famous pro-heroes of the first generation. It was such a man that brought respect, respect based on his accomplishments. Someone who could bring an entire football stadium to be filled to the last seat with people, all just to have a chance to hear him perform. That man was a symbol in the world of music, and as much as it inspired Elise to be called out by this man, it almost made her nervous.
Fortunately for her Kaito seemed to be quite a social and friendly soul, as the man smiled and answered her inquiry with an enthusiasm that only few students at her school could match. "That's me~ Elise von Eisenberg, p-pleased to meet you." For a moment she could feel her nervousness stirring, to the point she had almost bit her own tongue, but after a moment she finally found herself calming down as Kaito invited her to enjoy some pleasantries at a tea-house. Of course, Elise didn't mind, from past experiences she had learned that conversations often flowed better when one had a nice cup of tea and some sweet snacks to sample. A momentary pause followed for the crimson-haired lass as the two of them took a seat at the terrace. When one of the waiters came she ordered, just as expected some apple tea and afterward turned her gaze toward the musician.
"Please forgive me for being so blunt with the following inquiry Kaito-san, but I couldn't help but wonder about this after receiving your mail: Why exactly did you leave the world of music? Of course, there are plenty of theories and rumors that the media gave in the wake of your retirement, but those are just that: rumors. Forgive me if it's an unpleasant question, but I can't help but wonder: You were someone who was said to stand at the peak of the musical industry. A man who could have it all: Fame, wealth, glory, people lined up just to hear you play and often you were revered to as one of the greatest musicians currently alive. Yet from your last songs before your retirement I feel it was neither fame or wealth that you were looking for."
Elise paused for a moment, around the same time her tea was brought and bringing her drink to her lips she took a long sip from it. "For some reason, your last songs felt similar to how I feel about the hero industry: Disappointed, as if something important is missing, a key piece in the puzzle that without being completed isn't worth it. But what is it that you didn't find in the world of music Kaito-san?"
She gently lowered her drink onto the table and pondered for a moment. There were so many different artists around, so many people that were more popular and talented than her... "And what does it have to do with me Kaito-san? Surely there are a lot of musicians around, take Scarlett for example, in just a short period of time her songs have made her become so popular almost everyone at my school knows her. There are a lot of musicians who are more skilled or popular than I am..."
Indeed, after all, she only played the piano as a hobby, as a means to express her emotions, to her the piano was simply a friend that allowed her to reveal those emotions which were often so difficult to put properly into words. So it was only natural that Elise wasn't certain about the reason why someone famous like Kaito had decided to seek her out, she who wouldn't even be able to be called a true professional, compared to the countless people who might had been both more talented and popular than she was.

He considered himself at an age that he was sure how the society thought about music, but the opinions in the years had changed and he was rather disappointed in that. It had hurt him really when his own producer had said he needed to go on with the time and just do whatever the rest did, his story was over, he had nothing left to tell. After a few days he got peace with that. Mostly because it made Kaito realize he did not fall for the bigger thing; fame, money. No he quit at his highest moment, believing he did well. He mused a little on when he thought about it, words needed to come to him if he wanted to clearly express to Elise-san what he thought and what he wanted her to reach, if she agreed of course. If only she would listen to an old man's best advice. Considering her email, he was rather sure about that whole idea, now only he had to wait.
Would people still remember him? Would the young generation still remember him? He wondered and he mused, he hoped so. His music was important, the soul, the story, the emotions, people should learn to listen to that. Ah, the good all days, if only he would go on but he could not. However, it was maybe a wonderful perspective to start again, afresh. What better way than to be able to give tips or instruct the youth that deserved it. When she showed up he could not help but introduce himself, even if he hoped she knew him, he wanted to be polite and yet called her dear Elise. So much for being calm and positive, he overstepped the boundary immediately. "A wonderful name." He immediately replied, ignoring the hackling on the word because well it made sense to be at least a bit nervous. It also settled his own thoughts in that she must have heard of him, good he wasn't yet an old classic that no one pulled off the shelves anymore. He ordered some fresh mint tea and thanked the waiter for now, they would maybe order some pie later but it would be first very well to talk and not immediately give of a celebratory feeling.
He waited for the tea to be brought to the table before he would bring on the heavy conversation or well, Kaito wasn't entirely sure if it would be heavy but he also wanted to see the emotions, the curiosity in the eyes of Elise and she did not disappoint. He folded his hands together and put them on the table while, with a friendly look on his face, eyed Elise. A waterfall on questions and assumptions, he rather liked it, felt a bit flattered if he would dare to say so. He noticed the waiter bringing the tea and gave him a small nod before watching Elise again, she did not seem to be finished. His smile grew under his blonde almost white mustache, yes she was asking the right question. She wasn't assuming fame and wealth was everything there was or that she was the multi-talent that people always considered and dreamed to be.
"Ah let me explain." He said when she was done, he had to reassure her maybe first, than go back to himself. Albeit if he was honest it was a story or two stories that were waving and be combined together. "Let me start with what you said at last, there a lot more musicians, yes, there are always a lot of each and everyone when it comes to things that people decide to do and like in their spare time. What I dislike about Scarlett for example is that there is no story, many students lack that, they only think about fame and wealth and use seconds to produce an album that tells nothing. Scarlett her album started with what I would say a scream for help but I dislike the switching of genres, the popular aspect that the producer and maybe herself want to make with the eye on only wanting to share and earn quick money. It is a fame name, it is nothing more, it is meant to be made for everybody. Music is not made for everybody that's why we have different genres and different styles."
He mused a little, he did not want to say that what Scarlett did was entirely wrong but for him it was focused on the wrong aspects of the job of being a musician. And that's exactly what he tried to point out to Elise. "The people with the natural talent of showing their soul, their story and emotions in the world of song is so small that it is something we should hold on to. That's where you come in Elise-san and I will tell you my story shortly, I put every fiber of my being in my songs, I showed them the emotions and the soul that I possessed for my music. But the world only wanted the easy way out, the things that can easily sell and give instantly fame and wealth, I do not agree with that world and thus decided when I had my hands on the last pieces of music that showed how I as a musician am, as I consider of the pure form, I decided that after that it was over. If you live for only the fame and the wealth in the music industry, you soon will be replaced by the next generation. So I hope, my dear Elise, that you do not live for that as I assume you don't considering what you just said and your way of playing that piano. It gave me goosebumps and I did not feel that for a long time."
The man leaned back to let her handle all pieces of information while he took a sip of his tea, ah, yes, he should have said it more carefully but he explained it rather well if he said so himself.

Times change, it was a hard fact that a lot of people were forced to come to terms with. Elise was no stranger to this notion, as being one of a new generation that was being trained to become what society called pro-heroes, the young lady felt sorely disappointed in the nature of this 'hero society'. Students bickered with each other, their egos infatuated and competitiveness bordering onto hostility often became a dominant presence in the chatroom of their school. It made Elise feel disappointed, that the noble and selfless image of a true hero had been reduced to something like this.
However, before they turned focus onto that matter, Kaito's musings bewildered Elise: "Scarlett's songs are an outcry?" She raised a hand to her chin, pondering for a moment. Could it be that being an idol was perhaps Rin's way of expressing her emotions, or rather she was crying out for help, but didn't actually express why or what she needed help for within her songs? She did notice that Scarlett's first album was indeed a collection of genres, something which had a bit that might interest everyone, and it made Elise think further about what Kaito was saying. He did have a point, not every song suited every person, she for example often liked upbeat and cheerful songs, or more softer ones. In fact, whenever she tried to think of her feelings, she did notice that a lot of times a particular style accompanied her performances as if her personality shown itself through her music.
And so Kaito arrived at the important piece of his story: his explanation about why he retired. It seemed that Kaito was quite similar to her: a man who saw the world of music as a way to express his emotions, to commune with the people on a level that transcended mere words. However, similar to the hero society, it seemed the world of music had become twisted, with people seeking fame and wealth, wanting to walk the easy path rather than take the risk to reveal one's emotions.
It was tragic when Kaito praised her piano performance Elise couldn't help but smile briefly, although her smile seemed laced with just a hint of sorrow. "I thank you for your compliment Kaito-san, although I wouldn't really call me a professional, I'm not even certain if I'm able to call myself a musician."
She paused for a moment, as if trying to figure out the right words to continue her explanation, and then it finally came. "I seek neither fame or wealth, in fact, you could say that the thing I seek isn't of such a simplistic nature. You could say that I play the piano as a means of expressing myself."
She raised her hand, brushing away some stray locks of her long hair, and for the shortest of moments felt her fingertips fleetingly brush against the hairclip that adorned her hair, a childhood present from a very special knight of her. "Ever since I was little I struggled to show my emotions, my real feelings to others. Too often I hid them, too often I acted, to the point that acting became a natural thing for me to do. It was only through the piano that I could express myself in a way that felt genuine, felt like the 'real' me."
Her smile softened as she hummed softly. "Although recent days have seen improvements in that, I still hope that someday my music will reach her, that my songs will give her the courage to discover that which she longs to find and finally tell me the thing I long to hear."
A sheepish chuckle escaped her lips as she continued. "But I'm rambling, in fact even now I feel that something is missing in my music, something which could make it reach further. That is what I desire the most: I don't want my songs to become famous, I want my songs to touch people, to inspire them and warm their hearts."
A momentary pause followed before she smiled weakly. "An incomplete song, oddly suiting for someone who others would say isn't even a real pianist. An incomplete song for an incomplete pianist~" She looked up at Kaito and spoke softly. "I'm not certain what it is that you seek Kaito-san, but do you truly think you would find it here, with someone who doesn't even know what she is looking for herself?"

He put the tea cup down again when Elise asked about the outcry, "Listen very carefully to the first song, which might not even be written about her but it feels like a cry for help, I am not entirely happy about the song, especially some of the lyrics make me feel that it points out how society works nowadays, it fits everything. She sings that this life wasn't made for the weak and helpless, I do not agree for that and I find it rather odd to hear that in a song that should be loved by everybody and should not wonder if they belong in that category now that we have a lot of quirkers, but let's not go there dear Elise, that is up to Scarlett and her producers, I can show my dislike for more of her album but that is not entirely fair when I do not know her or the story, if there even is one, behind the album." He could go on and on and on for hours why he did not like the album and why he believed they simply pushed a girl with a love for songs into one specific thing only. It was horrible that the music industry made use of that but there was nothing much that he could change. He could change it for one and that one could teach more and so on. He would never consider the world lost as long as someone was fighting for the right part.
"Nonsense, you can call yourself a musician because you play very well and you show your audience, that doesn't have to be in a concert hall or in a room but the internet is very useful for that nowadays, you can play and you know how to play, a professional, there are even so-called professionals that should not hold the title but don't worry about that, I, myself rather like to be just a musician, isn't that after all the goal you have as you play music?" To tell your story, poor our your soul and have people listen, the professionals all seemed to carry it to the idea of the maximum amount of people listening to it while that wasn't the idea. If only that one person would listen, Kaito would play to his heart content no matter who was that one person. He took another sip of his tea, he learned already that in this conversations his emotions would raise high and he want to prove it to her that she was worth it but maybe needed to get a bit of the sharpened edges to be softer, that was not the right word or saying but he would manage anyway. And thus he leaned back again, holding on to the tea cup but looking at Elise. It was visible she was trying to find words but she knew the right ones as she knew how to find the keys on the piano, he was sure of that.
Ah, her next words warmed his heart. It meant that he had found the right one, he only nodded, not ready to interrupt, hoping she would tell him a little more about herself. He could imagine that would be difficult if you never met before and well she clearly knew his name, that could make it slightly easier but also slightly more difficult. "Sometimes it takes the right person or the right step at the right moment to show a guidance and I think that is exactly why I found your music, I hope I can be that person because Elise, dear, you are exactly what the world of music needs. Your honesty, your purity, that's exactly what I was looking for, reminds me a bit of myself. I dare to defy those that do not see you are a real pianist. Yes, everyone could use a bit teaching, I did so myself and there is no shame in that, it would only become a shame if you dare not ask. So hereby I offer myself to help you out if you want. Finish that song and most important, that is what I learned, hold on to the emotions but let go of the pain, the frustration, anything that could make you sad. Music should be enjoyed but that is a lot of effort and it can take a bit of time and frustration and pain but it will be fine and you will I believe have tons of songs in your heart for that special someone." Because that might be considered the best start, if she had someone that she wanted to reach through her music, Kaito would start there.

Once more Elise couldn't help but be pulled into a web of thoughts. Kaito told her to focus on the first song, and how he felt it might have been a song that was not even written about Rin herself, although a part of the lyrics did make her feel uncomfortable: The thought that life wasn't made for the weak and the helpless... If survival of the fittest was to become the belief that society functioned on, then what about those who were weak and helpless on their own? Would they be abandoned? Banished and forsaken? Was it not a hero's calling to defend the weak and the helpless? Now she thought more about it, the more it felt odd for such a song to had Scarlett- no Rin as its songstress. Was that truly the type of mentality the girl held within her, a side exposed by the world of music?
Nonetheless, Elise was quick to shake her head, banish the worrying thoughts from her mind as she instead found herself wondering about the next thing Kaito told her. Elise couldn't help but ask him a question in the wake of his words. "What do you believe to be a musician Kaito-san?" She paused for a moment, pondering what answer the man was going to provide her before she continued onwards herself. "I like to think that 'my' definition of a musician is to be someone who wants to tell you something through the world of music. It doesn't necesarrily have to be good or talented, they just need to have a desire to tell their story."
However, it was what followed that had come rather unexpectedly. An offer, an invitation from a legend who was willing to teach her, to let her reach for that which remained out of her grasp. To let her songs truly shine with emotions. Yet it was what followed that caught her by surprise: He warned her that while she should hold on tightly to the emotions which guided her performance, she should let go of the pain certain things brought. This pain, this frustration, those anguishing specters which made her feel sad, so only by learning to embrace her emotions without any regret, could she reach that point that she was aiming for?
"A song that can reach Tetsu, a song just for her..." Elise whispered softly, thinking back about how much she longed to let Tetsuko know just how deep and powerful her emotions were, but at the same time she was also aware that ever since the events in Kashima, Elise had been subconciously wary of the same feelings, as if a part of her was afraid of those emotions, knowing that they sometimes hurt the girl she loved so much.
"Do you think you could teach me? To play the piano without regrets? To let my song reach Tetsuko? There is so much I want to tell her, so much I want to show her that can't be done properly through words... If you believe your teachings will help me express those things without regrets, then please teach me Kaito-san."

He thought for a second about her question, what did he believe to be a musician. He thought about it a lot well it only seemed to be matters if he considered it in the time before he would answer. "I think a musician is someone who shows love about music, to music." Maybe a bit cryptic, but a musician should not feel the pressure to play music or to be heard as long as they wanted to tell, and love to tell that story in the way of music. Understanding the senses of the tones of the piano, the not slamming the fist on the fragile keys that would make the sound you needed to hear, the pulling the strings of the violin for the staccato sound, the soft moving of the bow of the cello. A true musician understood that the sound would reach all, even if you used the instrument as softly and carefully as you should. It was a wonderful idea if you could feel that and if you could use that was even better. He leaned on his left hand, made in a fist and smiled at Elise, "Exactly, which means you can only turn out to be a great one, because you understand your love for music, with music." It would of course be nice to be talented and good but you could learn that, there was nothing to learn if you did not have the sense of telling, the desire and the passion. It would not stop but continue to be sloppy and always missing something but as Elise von Eisenberg proved to have understood that what was necessary, Kaito believed he had found the right one.
Because she understood, he could not withhold his enthusiasm and invite her, give her the offer of teaching her. He did not really catch her words but that was okay, he thought he could have a mild guess by what she said on the tones of her voice, a music itself, wondering, curious, hoping, it was something that desire could be used to describe it. He let her muse a little on, think about what she wanted to do and if she was up for the task of casting pain away but recall memories, emotions, else a story would be stuck whenever you feel like it. Kaito knew it was not the easiest part but those who wished and try to take that piece of knowledge and learn it, those were the ones that mattered, those were the ones that wanted to do it that way.
It seemed she perked up a little and knew what she wanted to know, asking him if he could teach her. "I can only teach if you want to learn, else it would be rather difficult but yes, I can and I will if you let me. Letting your heartfelt story be told to this dear Tetsuko of yours and be able to play the way the music is made to be played. What do you say?" He smiled when she said her last words, with pleasure he would teach her. He looked at his watch, "What do you say, we finish this tea and head to the conservatory not too far from here, just a hop on the bus, you can in the mean time always ask me more question but I would like to hear you play, so I know where to start, sounds like a start, don't you think?" He would take a third sip of his cup, he barely had touched it but he it was an amusing conversation that distracted him, he hoped she would be up for the task, not for him but for herself and a bit for her dear Tetsuko.

Elise nodded her head gently in agreement to Kaito's statement. To her there was nobody as suited for the title of 'Musician' as someone who showed a love for music, toward the world of music. Although she longed to express herself through her music, it was fine if nobody heard her. It was the reason why she often practiced with nobody around to hear her, after all it was just the act of playing, of connecting her feelings with the piano and letting the world of music sweep her away that had been enough.
A momentary pause followed as she smiled at his statement that she could only be considered a great musician because of her understanding of her love for music, and the way she showed it through her music. Although, in all honesty, she wasn't sure if she was worthy of such praise, considering she often felt surrounded by much more talented people. Nonetheless, Kaito allowed her a chance, he offered her a path where her heartfelt story could be told to her beloved Tetsuko, to play the piano in a way it was meant to be played. Of course, unlike some instruments, you couldn't play a piano everywhere, after all you needed a piano for it! And so Kaito suggested that they would finish their tea and head toward the conservatory, a place not too far from the park they were currently situated in.
Fortunately Elise had always been something of an enthusiastic drinker, considering her quirk, so when Kaito suggested for them to finish their drinks Elise smiled briefly, tilting the edge of the cup lightly to showcase she had already finished her drink a while ago, and after ensuring the man had a fair time to finish his own tea, the two of them would make their way along the sandy path of the park, toward the nearby bus stop that would lead them toward the observatory.
"I wonder..." Elise began, a hand raised to her chin as she seemed to ponder about something. "I mentioned before about how I felt disappointed in the hero industry. Even while it is still a new concept in our society, the notion of a 'true' hero seems to be forgotten by most who aspire to gain the prestigious status of 'Pro-hero'. All they see is a chance at glory, a possibility to obtain fame and wealth, There are some who even just wish to take the mantle for their desire to fight villains. for them, the act of helping people, of saving them is a simple byproduct of the calling."
She sighed briefly, shaking her head lightly. "It is clear that in its current state, the selfless and noble calling of true heroism is lost upon most of this generation. Those people aren't going to become heroes, they will be glorified peacekeepers. And it saddens me that I'm powerless to change it."
She turned her gaze up at Kaito and inquired, her tone soft although there was a spark of resolution in her eyes. "But it's not the same here, I am not powerless this time. If what you say is true, then my music might hold a power of its own, and with your guidance, I might become able to change the world of music. To make people remember the true essence of music."
As the bus they took arrived at the conservatory and the two of them disembarked the vehicle Elise added to her comment with a smile. "Of course, I won't be able to focus on music alone~ After all I aspire to become the greatest nurse in existence! But perhaps... perhaps I can also become the 'hero' who saved the music world! Led people back onto the right path and made them remember their love for music."

The whole idea of a concept and what a concept means, the construction behind it, was what the society made such a difficult place. Whether that be musicians or heroes, everyone had other thoughts and that would always be the same. He did not want to say that he knew better, he would like to say he had a great amount of experience but that did not always make up for it in this world, not in 2073. It was not onto him to see if he could give away that teaching of his, that amount of experience and raise a person, it did only have to be Elise in his opinion, he wasn't looking for the next generation. But to raise Elise in the world of music as he saw fit, not hasty and running but just slowly building up to the world of soul, not the music, but the story.
So he listened, he suggested, he offered and he talked but mostly he listened. If her words matched her songs, the pieces that he heard at least and if those words would be able to be transformed into music and with that good music, considering her dear Tetsuko, Kaito was rather convinced he could do that. She already showed her empty tea cup and he shook his head, "So absorbed by this conversation how did I not notice." He grumbled albeit with a happy posture towards himself and went on to finish his own drink and pay for the tea. He was glad to see her excited and thus allowed her to follow him to the near bus stop and bought two tickets for them both to go to the conservatory. He hoped to hear the music without a screen between him and the piano because even if that was good, it was always better to hear it when being in the same room as the instrument and the practitioner. He looked up at Elise sitting opposite him in this bus as she seemed to start wondering about something out loud. The hero industry, ah yea, Kaito wasn't all too acknowledged about it, frankly he thought they were doing fine and it did not bother him, he after all was quirkless. He wasn't against them, he could see the good way the government was using these Pro-heroes but to be fair he had not kept up all too much with the news, yes Semper Fi, yes some tv hijacking but mostly he was just playing the piano, trying to find someone to continue his, well he barely dared to think it, legacy.
He frowned lightly when Elise summoned up what seemed to bother her or as she said it disappoint her and he wondered if he would or should able to link that to what he said before about the music industry. People with a good voice, nimble fingers to play the strings and keys in the music industry only doing it for the wealth and fame. He was rather disappointed in that as well. "No one is powerless my dear, a big journey of miles and miles starts with a single step, a tree too big to embrace starts from this tiny little seed. There is always a way, it might just take quite a while before you can look back and see how many miles you have left behind or how much the tree has grown." But maybe she already understood, the twinkling in her eyes, and her continuing to say that it was not the same here. Here must be music, not powerless indeed. Maybe teaching her music would teach her a bit more than just music, he decided not to say that out loud, time would tell, time would let her grow. But he vouched for her being able to change the world of music, remember that true essence, that's what he would like.
"The greatest nurse?" The man said surprising and watched the girl who seemed to have a big ambition for everything. "You can be a lot of things, maybe even the hero that saved our hero industry. Don't dream too small dear Elise but dream with a plan." Is what he said before going inside and waving at the man behind the desk and walking towards the room that he knew very well, it was nice to be back again here. He showed her the room with the piano to become as he thought was best familiar with the instrument. Yes piano keys worked the same but he believed the instrument was a being at itself, he loved that idea and it had helped him a lot in his time when playing music. He asked her to play a little, but this would be the place if Elise agreed to practice and he wanted her to practice as much as she could.
