She seemed to be okay with the building, he himself did not like the big chain companies, surely they came in handy when he wanted something quickly, coffee-wise of fast food but he rather went to things such as the Fourth Corner or this restaurant. His bar? Why would he explain to her that it was not his, because she clearly would know that because of the fact that he stood here with her as the bar was, well twenty minutes back.

“You should have the grand tour some day. This town is amazing, it’s a Paradise if you know where to find it. Like my bar.”

His grin was now again back on his face, maybe she wasn’t so bad after all. Heck, he was sure she was not but he was not in the mood to keep up with someone else their bad day. So he opened the door for her and shook his head with that grin still on his face because of the mock courtesy, “Don’t test me out, young lady.” He barely knew a thing about her, actually he only knew her name and he only learned or assumed that she only got to Tokyo recently. Maybe he should just ask.

He waved at the waiter that recognized him, albeit the boy was surprised he said he wanted a table. He normally only came to pick up the pizza and headed home, not all too far from here, a little bit back towards the bar. He offered them a table upstairs, it was a small building but they used the rooms in the front and upstairs to sit and it seemed to be quite popular, but they always seemed to have room for their known customers. The boy looked up the girl and Akiva simply took her wrist albeit softly but pulled her with him to go upstairs.

Rufina nodded emphatically. “Yes, I would very much like that...but only if you were giving the tour.” Her smile was radiant as she passed him to enter the pizza joint. “Big strong man like you around? Ain’t nobody going to want to mess with me.”

The way he interacted with the staff made her think that Akiva was a regular here, which was so cute that he supported local businesses! “Ooh! You got connections here, bud?” It was a jape, but she was actually feeling pretty happy at the special treatment. She even let him take her wrist as she grinned stupidly, ascending the stairs.

“Careful now, you can have my hand for now. But don’t think you have the power to sweep me off my feet just yet. We’ll see how this place is first and then we’ll go from there. Gucci?”

“Me?” He looked at her with a surprised look, “Oh, sure.” He wanted to roll his eyes, she was doing it again. Damn, apparently he was an open book when it came to what he liked to hear and he shook his head softly, “Well that’s a second date then.” Ha, what she could do, so could he. That meant that this was the first one though. What a strange happening through the day.

“I might order too many pizza’s here from time to time, it’s just convenient not to have to cook after a late shift.” He simply admitted and eyed the person that sent them to a table, to which he took Fina her wrist to let her stay with him, not stray or whatever, maybe she would make flirty comments with other people and that was fine, just not when he was around.

He got the table with another nod from another waiter and stood there, wondering how far he would take his act of being a gentleman, no… he wasn’t going to pull a chair back and let her sit on it, she was a modern girl, so he could let her do that. “I think I technically already did.” He grinned a bit, it was funny how she talked to him. “How is your head?” Because the ice seemed to have helped to stop the bump from getting pretty big. He took a menu card from the waiter and eyed her shortly. It was not that he did not date, he did plenty well enough thank you very much, but every person was different.

Rufina rested her elbow firmly on the table and gleamed at him directly. “Second date? You’re implying this is our first?” She teased playfully, tapping her fingers against her cheek. “I don’t order it enough actually. It has been some time since I’ve had pizza and as such...I’m not to sure what toppings are more acceptable. So I shall leave my choice in your capable hands, Mr. Akiva!”

“Oh right, my head.” She rubbed at the spot where her bump was still fairly prominent. “It still hurts quite a bit...no scratch that. Hurts like a bitch, but I’m a tough cookie so I’ll live.”

She just shrugged nonchalantly, though she was honestly in a bit more pain than she would let on.He seemed to be far more at ease than Rufina did, though she wasn’t sure if it was simply an act or not. She wished that she could cover her own stupid feelings, but the heart coming off of her cheeks was more than apparent.

Which really pissed her off. “Just to let you know...I don’t do this kind of thing very often. Y’know...dates? So I don’t really know what to do. What about you, Akiva? Take many girls to the pizza place?”

“Is it not? I asked you out, you never replied so I basically kidnap you on my motorcycle and you had no choice, now I have to hope you forgive me, by serving you the best pizza in town and that I can try that second one.” He grinned, maybe a little too cocky in his example but she could handle it, he was sure of that.

“We can start the age-old discussion if pineapple belongs on a pizza but there are better ones anyway.” He opened the menu and put it flat on the table so that if she would try, she could try and read it upside down. A waitress this time appeared to take their orders for a drink, he simply ordered a soda as he still had to drive. He looked over the menu and actually just wanted to order what he normally did but he decided to change it up a bit, instead of ordering their normal size, he asked for the extra large, so they could share a pizza, with the best thing that he had invented if he said so himself was replacing the tomato sauce with this white sauce, creme fraîche or something, he wasn’t a chef, he could just get well around with food and that was more important.

When he looked up to see if he could get a waitress or waiter to order the pizza at, he wasn’t going to tell her because she gave him the reign, he noticed she blushed, which was cute and unsettling and he looked away, he should not blush, he was too old for this, childish thing. But it was polite to look at her as she spoke that she did not do this often, “Neither do I, actually this is my holy place, apart from my apartment of course.”

Rufina rested her elbow firmly on the table and gleamed at him directly. A playful grin, if ever there was one, was plastered on her face. Oh, she liked him! He was just that right amount of sarcastic without seeming too off putting. She continued to drum on her cheek as she listened to him speak. “Oh so I have been kidnapped, have I?”

She threw her hand up to her forehead, which was stupid since it caused her to wince in pain, but she was committed to the joke. “Oh woe is me! I’ve been kidnapped by a beautiful stranger! Oh someone please help before he takes me away, covers me in pizza, and ravages my body!”

Rufina turned to smirk at him, unable to contain the laughter that had built up inside her. It was a slight sound, not too high in pitch. Almost as if she were whispering a laugh. She immediately pointed a finger at Akiva. “Make fun of my laugh and you die.”

The scary thing was...she wasn’t sure of herself if she was kidding. But…”Pineapple on pizza? Is...that a thing? The hell! Oh uhm...” She noticed the waitress arrive. “Just some sweet tea thanks.”

It was nice to know that he also didn’t do things like this often. Dates...it made her feel overwhelmingly happy that he was as nervous as she was. Though he seemed to hide it better, which surprised her. Do I need to start taking lessons from this guy?

“I should feel quite honored then right? If you took me, a complete stranger, to your holy place? You must really like me or something.”

To be honest, the grin on her face was very attractive, the way she played him was something. Damn, beautiful stranger hm? “This sounds like you know my plan already, damn, I need to be more original.” But his grin did not stop on his own face either. It was rather interesting how she acted and he wanted to understand her better. Maybe that’s what intrigued him so much because she seemed to be different.

“Why would I do that? When it’s fascinating to listen to.” She wasn’t secure when it came to her laugh? Were there more things she did not like about herself? He was now even more curious and his eyes simply looked over her face and he was unsure about what to say. “Oh, yes, pineapple on pizza. It’s not even that bad but it can be too sweet and soggy if you ask me. Not the best combination on something that needs to have a crusty and not mixing flavour.” He shrugged, too much explaining into something that he should just have shrugged off in general.

“Don’t push.” but he could not help but smile still, “But yes, you are how to phrase it properly, intriguing. I couldn’t resist.” But on the other hand he should before he let stupid emotions go too far and he would be in more trouble. He did not feel that he would get that far and get in that problem, he would just go home tonight, after this dinner without her, it would be all fine. He would never see her again and it would be okay.

She just raised an eyebrow at him with the most confused look spread upon her face. It was like a mixture of anger and insult all rolled into one at the thought of a pineapple pizza. Soggy and sweet? Were there actually people out there crazed enough to enjoy such a thing?

"People are thoroughly disgusting. That sounds...just awful."

She blushed ever so slightly at his comment on her laugh. Back in her home, her friends always teased the strange way in which she laughed. So seeing someone smooth talk her in such a way felt nice. Rufina just waved her hand in front of her face and laughed again.

"But don't worry about it, Akiva. I'm not the most original girl in the world. My interests are actually quite mundane when you break 'em down and such."

The waitress had returned with both of their drinks, setting them down carefully. Rufina appreciated the girl's attention to care and nodded with a grin, the scar on her mouth stretching it out even more.

"Very kind of you! Quite adept hands you have there, young lady! I'll be sure ta add a nice tip later."

She tilted her head with a mock look of surprise on her face at the man across from her, covering her face with both hands as her eyes grew wide.

"Oh? You find me intriguing, do you? What was it? How easy I'm being, the shit faced drunk I got, or the vomiting all over the floor?"

Though it was clearly a tease, Rufina wanted to know more about this bartender throughout the night. Because she'd most likely not see him again for some time and that made the glimmer in her eye wane just a bit.

Everyone their own things and likes right? As long as it did not bother him, involve him, Akiva was actually kind of okay with it. He did find her reaction to pineapple on pizza funny, where did she say she came from? Did they discuss that? He wondered for it but he did not believe so, they had made flirty attempts before she fell and he simply let her fix that quick problem of booze, kind of literally but it was good to drink and eat something more normal than bellini in the afternoon. So he shrugged, maybe she was just very picky with her food.

With the next thing he wondered about was a woman such as her could be insecure about anything. He really just wanted to look at her, wasn't entirely fair to the women species out there but she was very beautiful. He did resist to continue to give her a once-over every now and then but still he answered to her threat about her laugh and simply answered it, in a flirty way, something he was good at. "Yet the most not original girls can be the most intriguing. I mean I met too many people that try to be special that, that becomes boring." Special, what did it actually mean, he did not want to really admit that ordinary sound wonderful once in a while, not everyone would take that as a compliment, that was for sure.

But as he said that, which he waited for for the waitress to leave, strange how she gave the girl a compliment and what kind of compliment. He frowned shortly before seeing her surprise reaction as she realized what he said. He could not help but repeat it of course. What would he say, how would he phrase it considering what she said. "None of that, although it is rather new for me to immediately go to dinner after such things but the way you talk, the intelligent look in your eyes. I dunno, intriguing." He simply repeated the word, don't give too much away and yet say enough, that was his style.

They mostly talked and shared a pizza that he ordered for the two of them, he could not stop asking her what she thought about it.
He at least had fun with her, lie he thought before she was interesting which made the evening interesting. After that however, he shared his phone number with her and brought her to a good not too expensive hotel in Tokyo. "Text me if you want that date through Tokyo, I do have a lots of shifts but we can figure something out."

Nothing more, nothing less, he put the bike helmet back over his head this time now that he brought her back and mingled into the traffic to go back home. He was really tired now though.
