I'm the Queen, protect the Queen The day was pretty young- it had only just barely been in the afternoon. The sun was shining bright and the only clouds in the sky were too small to see with how fiercely the sun shined. Today Farida, or as she preferred to go by more than often- "Isis", had warn her casual black T-shirt with her two neck chains, one with big letters that read "SANDS OF TIME" and the other longer one that was just a black clock with a golden plate in the middle. Anyone nosey enough could tell by looking at her- as she leaned her behind against the metal fence separating the sidewalk from the inside of the park, she just wanted to be noticed! While anyone would probably want to look their best when on the outside, Farida never left the house without being sure she was sticking out- especially in the middle of Tokyo- they probably didn't get too many foreigners like her all that often- It was only natural that she was a bit impatient with the timing- She looked and turned watching passerbys either enter the park or go past her, but it didn't seem like they were too interested in paying her any mind. Time probably felt a lot slower for her- not standing around because she wanted to after all, but if that's how it was going to be then she was better off at least getting some exercise.
In those extremely high platform heels of hers- Isis swayed her way down the walkway of the park. She had a certain bounce to her step along with a confident smirk on her face- It probably looked kinda strange, as if she was making her move down the walkway of a fashion show- but that was of course- the idea.

198 words ft. isis Kenji often found himself with a wealth of spare time after school, so he did what any reasonable third-year junior high student did with their spare time: he fooled around. He had hurriedly changed out of his uniform and into his street clothes, stuffing the uniform carelessly into the main compartment of his backpack. Once changed, he hopped on his skateboard and hurriedly kicked his way to his favorite park, the wheels of skateboard roaring over the sidewalk.
The sidewalks were not really designed with skateboarders in mind-- the fissures were occasionally cracked, and just the right size for skateboard wheels. And even a skateboarder as adept as Kenji could fall prey to the uneven sidewalk. He was breezing down a walkway of the park, past grassy green knolls and annoyed elderly people, when one such fissure snagged his wheel. Kenji slipped backwards, the board being shot forward by the momentum, and sailing straight towards a rather fashionably-dressed young woman.
A slippery disc formed along the boy's forearm, preventing him from scraping-up his already scarred arms.
"Look out!" the boy yelled, still helplessly crumpled upon the ground as his board made its fantastic beeline towards the young woman.

I'm the Queen, protect the Queen It would not be hyperbole to say that Isis was looking for attention in whatever form it could manifest in- that being said, a skateboard flying at her was good enough of a reason to kick off of her heels. Even with enough time to dodge or duck out of the way- Isis insisted on grabbing the skateboard with a summoned sand golem. Confidence written over her face she'd turn to look at the item caught by her golem- When she laid her eyes on the board she'd have a look of shock and surprise- not because of what the item itself was but...the trajectory it must have been flying at...the position in which her golem caught it..."No way...this would have..flown over my head...? Sh-should I get higher platforms???"
The egyptians concerns with the skateboards placement was eventually overridden by the presence of the owner of said skateboard- upon laying eyes on him, Isis was immediately able to recognize the boy had used his quirk to break his landing- which made her smirk. Her golem would slowly dissipate before letting go of the skateboard, to which she'd catch in her hands, walking it back over to the younger boy. She'd wear a smile on her face- the type of smile where she was well aware of what she was doing.
"mahlaan...tifl, you know it's against society's rules to use your quirk, hmmm?" She raised an eyebrow, crouching down to the boy. "Oh...I see, you did it to shield yourself from harm- just as I did when I used my quirk to catch your toy-" She'd put a finger to her own lips. "Shhh- mahlaan, if you don't say anything- I won't either, we're partners in crime now...it isn't my real name, but all my friends call me Isis~" She'd extend a hand waiting for the boy to shake it, she wore a smile on her face cocking her head to the side excitedly. "Pleased to meet you~"

283 words ft. isis What Kenji saw was... wild, to say the least. The girl who looked straight out of Harajuku leapt out of her heels and some... thing... manifested out of the air to catch his skateboard. Kenji wasn't sure what a "thing" like this was called, although it was vaguely humanoid. The boy pushed himself upright, and got to his feet, his face set in an expression of flaggrant disbelief?
Another Quirker?
And a pretty one, at that. A faint flush crept into his cheeks when her eyes fastened onto him. The "thing" vanished, and she caught the skateboard. Crap, she was walking over-- the hot embarrassment intensified as the woman made her approach, his cheeks growing brighter and brighter. Even his ears flushed.
When she began speaking in... God knew what language... Kenji panicked, and bowed apologetically at the waist. She migrated from her strange greeting into reprimanding him.
"Onee-san, I'm very sorry," he said loudly, still facing the ground. When he stood up, his face was still red. She didn't seem old enough to be an auntie, so he went with calling her a sister instead. His arms remained snapped to his sides, almost as if he was at attention, and the strained, flushed look never left his face while the woman agreed not to tell anyone, if he didn't, and introduced herself.
"Kenji!" the boy said, beginning to bow again, "It's nice to m-" it was then that he noticed her extended hand. Awkwardly the boy shook her hand, insisting, "It's nice to meet you!"
He would have fled the scene, except the woman was holding his board. He stood upright again, awkwardly eyeing, as the woman had called it, "his toy".

I'm the Queen, protect the Queen "Hm~" Farida would smirk as she took the boys hand into her own warm palm, calmly shaking before returning her hand. The egyptian would cup her hands beneath her jaw and study the boys face for a bit, he wa so young and cute. She'd reach her hand forward to poke his nose before snickering again. "Onee-san? aha, you flatter me~" Farida would stand tall- tall enough that it made it very evident most of her height came from her enormous platforms. "If it makes it easier for you, It really is OK to call me Isis, we are after all- fast friends, and my friends always call me that,... say, Kenji- you seem like a smart boy- that hero school must be too good for you, hm? It's a bit harsh that the only profession for those with quirks is to defend the country- and even then, that's only if you were lucky enough to have been at the age to even enroll- boohoo..." She'd look at his skateboard before pressing it softly into his hands. "Tell me, do you know of anyone with similar ambitions to what the country considered a 'vigilante'? or maybe you yourself are living a double Life and are also a vigilante?" Farida would tilt her head to the side pondering to the younger boy.

#### words @tag Kenji quirked a smile as the foreign woman praised her intellect.
“I'm not old enough for high school,” was his modest response, smiling faintly. Kenji was smart enough to know that he wasn't especially smart. And he didn't think he could bring himself to call a new acquaintance anything other than a title. But he, as with most children, could be persuaded by sweet words, particularly when they came from pretty women, "I'm in junior high. A third year."
Isis surrendered the skateboard to the child, and he tucked it under his arm. His smile faltered when she asked about vigilantes, though. But only a little. He looked slyly at Isis.
"I know a lot of people," the boy said wanly, "Or… I know some people… who know some people. It depends on who's asking. Or why."
He wasn't totally stupid. He knew that people like Charles could get in trouble if the wrong people knew about them.
