Pink Lemonade [Miku & Hanako]

She mused about Gil, she did try to remember a bit more and the details, their childhood felt so long and so short together and almost twenty years later he was there and look at them now. Maybe not all according to plan but she was expecting their child. They were not a childhood fantasy, they were something real, something great, something meant to be. Even if Hanako mostly saw the negative side of the world, she was sure of this and thus let it like this, accepted this and be happy about it. It could have had a better timing, some time to wait but well, she was not the one writing her story. 

She had this soft look in her eyes and thought about the past instead of actually seeing the ceiling above her, but she did hear Miku her question and she chuckled a bit, she remembered the story from once she found the picture. "One of our adventures? I can." She chuckled again, "We always went out to the forest to pretend to be heroes, I always hoped to get a quirk even when most people got it at the age of four, I had high hopes. Your father always tried to convince me that it just took so long because I would have the most awesome quirk in the world." Well that prophecy did not really came true but she learned to deal with it. "So we would run to the forest, every day, no matter the weather and I would simply think off up something, the greatest baddest sock monster for example." She chuckled and turned her happy look to Miku. "Your father would not use his quirk for that, we would find something to do, whether it be just us describing what we did with the stances of heroes we had seen in television series or just throwing mud at trees pretending it was a hidden monster as well. It was amazing and carefree. We had moments that we had to bring Nanami along and try to drop her somewhere, pretending she was the damsel in distress that needed saving." She laughed about it shortly, oh Nanami. 

She thought with a happy smile about the past, only the adventures with G were thoughts that she well enjoyed, after that it went a bit gray and sad and she rather forget that, she focused on what was now her career but you could not tell that, before people would link it to her career that she did hide. It was best not to dwell on the past, "I remember how your father saved my sister from bullies, the fun of having a quirk." With a hint of jealousy but more adoration of the boy that became her man. She thought a bit about it more, happy, almost dozing off in her daydream, stuck in a world that was and that was made more perfect than the original picture of it. She blinked a couple of times, the ladies coming back in to clear their skin of the masks, while Hanako answered Miku her question,

"We could go into one of the hot tubs. I should check if I can but it is rather relaxing for your muscles." She said because Miku deserved to unstress about everything, she had wanted to ask about school some more instead of only linking it to the break but she decided to not do that, it would be better to watch Miku talk to her or to not talk at all, she did not try to force her. She would be there whenever Miku would need her. That reminded her of her birthday and maybe she should buy her something like this, a do-it-yourself kit. She softly chuckled, almost inaudible at the idea, that would be fun! 

Once their faces were clean, soft and shiny, Hanako needed help from the lady to sit up straight and would get out of the room, she looked at Miku, who must have been faster than her to see if she had agreed to the previous plan but they could always just walk around, look at the little cabins they had hear for steam saunas, smelling like mint and eucalyptus. They could get a drink at the bar, they could get in the pool, they could get different sorts of massages. Anything really. 

Hanako mused on, no longer jealous or upset by the past, they were together, she was doing fine without a quirk. She should have considered time that it wasn't going well with her body when she asked Fix to fake a quirk, she should have put that thought on the back burner as there were so many other things to do. And better and nicer things to take care off. She liked to do this, this moment of relaxing and bonding with Miku. She hoped she did it okay and that Haruuhi did not feel left out but she saw the younger sister a lot less and knew less about what was going on in her life. Maybe she would find the time soon to ask Haruuhi how she was doing. 

She managed to get off this bed, stretcher thing and thanked the girls that helped with the face masks and walked on with Miku, smiling when the girl went to hold her hand. Strange how that felt okay to her, even when MIku was even taller than her, especially now that Hana wore no high heels or shoes. She was not even thinking that it was bad. She showed a bit more to Miku before finding a hot tub, a not too big round pool where the two of them could relax, she quickly read the sign next to the tub and the things that were okay and not okay... making out within the hot tub was a no go and she thought about their weekend away and with a bit of a red face, Hanako turned to Miku, "Let's take this one." The other small hot tubs were taken, which was okay, because this would be their own, no one would bother them, what a luxury. She let Miku go in first, whether she jump, tried it out, Hana took the little stairs within the pool, the water wasn't too hot and it felt rather nice and comfortable, as if every muscle suddenly decided that they were tired and that this was the perfect moment to relax. That's how Hanako felt now and she leaned against the back, there was this underwater bench in the little round pool that she sat on and she closed her eyes. What to talk to, to Miku, what to talk about... all those questions but all her mind was distracted because of the sense of relaxing. 

When she finally took the time to realize what she was doing, relaxing, she smelled the herbs in the water, a bit of rosemary and lavender? Which did not give her the best memory but she shivered and shrugged it off. She would focus on good things, she actually wanted to text G about the not making out rule, would he find it as funny as her? It just brought back memories of the hot and cold bath that they tried out at the... at the... her mind did not get past the whole idea of how she had done that, telling herself not to flirt with him, yet they stood so close together and she could not stop kissing him. That was before she finally understood that he kissed her back because he liked her too. 

Ah Gil. 

"Gilbert." Her way of saying it with the l more turning into an r made her realize she said it out loud and she sat upright and stared with big shocked eyes at Miku. Her mouth forming the word Oh  but she did not say it. Oh no she had just said something out loud that she should not have said. Stupid! Stupid Hanako! "Don't ever call him that." She said softly and she hoped that she did not show her desperate side to Miku, "He really dislikes it."  She rather climbed out of this bath and not face Miku about what she had just spilled, it was bad, oh no why had she done this, it was stupid, it was ridiculous, she had managed to stop herself back at the haunted house but why not now. Her face turning even more red than before. What had she done. 

Oh no she said something that she should have kept a secret. What kind of girlfriend was she if she could not even stop talking about his name, she never even called him that in her mind because she hated her Japanese accent on the name. Gilbert. 

She almost got out of the bath to just walk back and forth considering what she had done but she stopped when Miku said she was sorry and she felt bad for what she must have gave the girl off as a vibe, that she was angry or upset and such. "It's not you sweet-cakes, it's me. I should have not told you but... well, I don't really see why he did not tell you and..." You caught me by my surprising daydream about smooching your father, but let's not go there, she thought to herself and went to sit back again. "And let's just forget it, he is someone else on paper now." She looked at her hands under water, the water moving in little waves as she had moved to the stairs before. She put her hands back on her tummy and just looked at Miku. She felt bad for upsetting the girl. 

Maybe she should talk about it in general with G but at this point, she wasn't sure if it mattered, what was the big deal about a name, especially if you did not use it. She had never really asked about what he did, apart from... she did not want to think about that, she had learned he told Miku, as she had suggested, so it was fine, but what about the rest. What about the things Macabre told her. It did not matter, all she wanted to think about was the positive side and how to spend time with Miku and talk to her. But about what, right now? "What are you thinking?" She simply decided to ask. 

She looked surprised at how Miku took her free hand but her eyes quickly softened and a smile appeared on her lips that showed she was really content with the idea at the moment. She wanted to ask the girl so much, apologize for her hasty action but it was just that she felt so stupid herself for basically betraying G, thank god she said it to Miku and not someone who could actually hurt him with the information, or so she hoped. G wanted to be not Gilbert, so it was not fair to speak about the name, talk about the name, think about the name, but because it was in the past, why not tell Miku? Why be so unreasonable? She did not know and she had wanted to consider it before to say it but she had not wanted to flop it out like she did as she did now, that was the whole problem. She would talk to G about it later, now she first had to relax and to continue her conversation with Miku, she simply asked the girl what she was thinking about. 

Error. 

She blinked a few times rapidly. Excuse me, what? The excuse me what in a more surprised tone than angry but she looked at Miku, her mouth falling open and she pulled the girl close to her. "I love you too sweetheart!" She exclaimed in a whisper of happiness, oh her god, she had never thought that she would be capable of this but it was a wonderful feeling to be capable of it and to get it back in return. She pulled the girl back in the hug, "Nope, not letting you go now." She said and giggled shortly, "Unless you really want to. But now you have to enjoy me fuzzing over you all the time and taking you to spas and demand manicures from your dad." She summoned up, laughing shortly about it again, secretly she hoped the baby was a girl but on the other hand, she had too fantastic girls, so a boy would be nice but most of all a healthy baby would be nice. 

She pulled the girl towards her and hugged her, stating in a teasing matter that she would not let go of Miku now. She was so glad for this moment, their moments all the time, she was so proud of Miku and also kind of, of herself that Miku accepted her. She did not forget that weeks ago the girl had asked her if she could call her mom now. She had not done that yet that Hanako noticed or maybe it felt so normal already that she had missed the whole point but she now snuggled her child in her arms. Like G had said months ago, our daughters. She might not be officially in the papers, but did that matter. To her it did not, blood did not mean all, it was family that you picked yourself that would mean the world. 

She would sit like that for a while, enjoying the hot spring and just the company with Miku, talking about little things, "Are you excited to become a big sister?" Because she obviously already was for Haruuhi but their age wasn't so different. She just wanted to know what Miku thought as they did not speak too much about it, but she noticed how careful the girl was when they hugged and that was adorable as well. 

After sitting long enough in this hot tub, Hanako suggested to dry up, get a drink and just calm a little before going to get a manicure. She was surprised how tired you could feel from this, but maybe it was just in general and they had sat there quite a while. Hugging, talking, everything felt amazing. She hoped Miku thought so too, and that it would be okay to do more things even when the near future would be different again. She could probably use relaxing spa moments with a baby around.
