{ } Man he needed a drink or a walk, fresh air in the middle of Tokyo seemed like a rare given, a drink was much easier. But he was with his motorcycle. He leaned against a corner of a building and stared at the red and black motor. It was something, it made it easier for him to get somewhere. The thing was that this bar seemed to be quite a charming place. Maybe he could just park his motor here and walk home, only twenty minutes away maybe instead of the ten on the bike, maybe a little bit more, he did not need to get drunk, but he also did not need to get his ass busted and be arrested. Eh, he would cross that bridge when he came to it. It was ten minutes to twelve and he simply could not sleep after finishing another job. He just wanted to do something different, steady, interesting, making a nice income and something flexible. He finally decided to step in and forget about his worries, his motorcycle, clinging on a piece of concrete with a thick chain would survive the night. As always, only he did not go for drinking most of the time. His job just had been in Kabuckiko and he happened to have parked here earlier. The man stepped into the bar, looking around and listening to the noises of chatter, laughing and the clinking of glasses. It had a nice atmosphere. He spotted an empty seat at the bar itself and decided to go there, one drink and he would go home, in that case, he could still use his motor and would not have to keep it here for a night. He preferred it that way, just something to relax and not worry about. He would wait until the bartender was done with serving drinks to the other people and simply looked on his phone. He was in no way in a hurry to get out and about again. If he would want to go anywhere it was going home and sleep. He scrolled through his phone before rubbing the knuckles on his left hand with his right. Time to add another tally, it did not look impressive, the five tally marks on the three knuckles, counting as much as fifteen, he would add the first on the fourth tomorrow. It could wait, maybe later tonight, maybe he should drink more before burning his own skin. What if the line would not be straight though? Tonight seemed to be heavier, he had not wanted to do what he had to do. Well actually it wasn't in the job description exactly but well bygones be bygones. If it was his turn, he would look up, flash a smile to the beautiful woman, she had a really impressive look and he did not even count her arms yet, but he simply ordered a beer. MADE BY VEL OF GS

sometimes you want to go WHERE EVERYBODY KNOWS YOUR NAME
Another night, another round of drinks, another busy evening for the four-armed woman. It might have seemed tedious to some, but for Delta, the consistently lively atmosphere of the Fourth Corner was a blessing she'd not dare take for granted. It wasn't a particularly odd night, as of yet, things going mostly by the usual rythm Delta had become accustomed to. The regulars had already rolled in and taken their leave, the drinks on their breath leaving them ready to face the next day, and now the bar's business was starting to wind down, growing quieter as those few wayward souls who still needed some liquor upon their lips lingered around, tasting and savouring the golden drops of respite as the late-night hours approached ever closer. Normally, Delta would have found this to be her least favourite time of the evening, where the night began to grow hushed and still, but right now, the amber-eyed woman was quite fond of the peace and stability around her. This place her mentor had worked so hard for, now flowed so easily between chaos and quiet, and although Delta much preferred the former, the latter was becoming less undesirable, with how much assuredness the quiet could provide... Then again, one thing Delta did dislike about these quieter hours, was how rarely she found herself with someone free to talk to at the counter. Chatting away with the strange and unique people of Tokyo was one of her favourite pasttimes, and the lack of anyone available nearby had the four-armed woman feeling a bit bored... Until the answer to her desires came along, as the sound of a motorcycle pulling up nearby preceded the entry of a new and interesting looking customer, with striking red hair and a rather attractive face, if Delta was being perfectly honest. He looked to be a late-worker, in need of something to relax after his hard days, and Delta took note of his demeanour while she served those chatting amongst themselves at her counter. He seemed not entirely calm, something about his manner having Delta curious about what kind of work had him coming so late and so tense. In Kabukicho, one could never be certain about how people made thier livings... When it was his turn to be served, Delta would greet the man with a warm smile, set against a lone amber eye and the deft movements of her four arms. "Right away, dear~" The woman hummed, grabbing a pint glass and giving him one of their beers on tap, making sure to give his bear just the right amount of head - roughly 3 centimeters - before passing the beer to another hand that smoothly served it before the redheaded man. "Hear you go~" Delta said softly, briefly glancing over the man. As he grabbed the beer, his knuckles struck her curiosity, though she wasn't so bold to ask about them right away, instead leading in with a more welcoming and simple query. "So, new here? Don't think I've seen your face around, and I always remember a customer~" The thought of adding on a bit more flattery came to mind, but Delta knew it best to first see how sociable the man was. 0000 WORDS |

{ } He was intrigued by her style, finally noticing the four arms when she moved the glass from one to another in a fluent movement. How could he have missed, it was probably that he saw so many quirks that his brain simply registered it as normal but it was interesting to see how she handled it. He took the beer glass with his left hand and took a big sip, not immediately downing it, albeit that took some restrains on his part. He still had not considered if he wanted to get drunk this minute or not. He did not notice how the 14 (soon to become fifteen) black straight lines on his knuckles stood out because of that. He was surprised how the woman lingered, considering her stature, he had thought her to be the owner and thus very busy. This only made her more interesting, so she really cared about her customers. "Yes, definitely my first time." He looked back at the beer glass, damn, that was nice. He took another sip, a little smaller now. He looked around, "It looks really nice here though, my compliments, but I bet you already knew that." He could not help but add the last words with a smile. Considering how many people seem to come and go. The Fourth Corner, yes he had heard about it before, snooping in chats about Tokyo thanks to the informant breaker. "I am Akiva Xerxes, nice to meet you." He decided to say, he wanted to be a bit more charming but he wasn't sure if he could muster up that power today or well this evening. Would he lie and say he had not been in Tokyo long, he had been here long enough, maybe a year, maybe a bit more, the distractions here were horrible. "Tokyo has so much to offer, I did not know where to start." But maybe this place, was a place he would not mind to come more often. It felt relaxing, soothing and open, not as all the places that he went before. MADE BY VEL OF GS

sometimes you want to go WHERE EVERYBODY KNOWS YOUR NAME
Countless people passed through the bar, from countless different walks of life, but Delta nonetheless felt fairly confident in her ability to categorize the wandering souls. If she had to put the newly arrived redhead into a box, Delta would quickly presume him some kind of traveler. His demeanor portrayed a man with few attachments, a man of no interest in grandeur. He seemed tough, but didn't need to put on a show to create that aura. The mystery behind the tally on his knuckles exacerbated that feeling. He was a very interesting man, in short. Interesting people were Delta's favorite kind of people, so she happily served him and inquired over if it was his first time here. It was as much to satiate her own selfish curiosity as it was to care for her customer. As she already knew - she really didn't forget a customer, after all - it was his first time here. Fortunately, it seemed to have made a good first impression, as Akiva evidently enjoyed his beer and the atmosphere of the establishment. "Glad to hear you're enjoying yourself~ I do my best to keep our standards high~" Delta said with faux humility. Obviously, she knew how fantastic the bar was. Whatever Akiva's work was, it must have been stressful, given how he enjoyed the cold alcohol. He gave his name, adding another hint of intrigue to the man as Delta nodded her head and flourished with one of her own hands in a bow-like gesture. "Likewise~ Delta Ivey, pleasure to make your acquaintance." The amber-eyed woman greeted with a welcoming smile. "As for places to start, Akiva-chan, here is just fine~ You been in Tokyo long? Sounds like you're new here." Delta inquired, wanting to try and go down a line of questioning that would hopefully tell her more about the other man. 0000 WORDS |
