at most I'm sleeping all these demons away It took something to get used to, to not immediately live in the centre of Tokyo anymore. She had to take a taxi for everything that she wanted to do if she actually felt like doing anything. The good thing was the ease around the outskirts of Tokyo, it was so much quieter there that it was peaceful for the city girl. The 20 minute trip to Tokyo wasn't that bad either but it would be nice if she would have her own car for things like this. Maybe she should consider that, she did have her drivers license but where would you park your car int he busy town was also beyond her. It might be worth the research, Hanako thought while staring out of the window of the taxi. The sky was blue and sunny but it was still quite cold outside. She was dressed as usual, in a pencil skirt. a blouse but with a dark green pullover over it, the only thing that changed was the high heels that were now replaced by boots, she did not like how it looked but it was so much more practical. The same could be said about her hair in a high ponytail and the coat that she wore. It wasn't the best combination but you needed something. She planned to go to the market, she did not like cooking in the last couple of weeks but she already felt that she was getting better, especially compared to the days before. She wanted to get fresh vegetables from the market, and that's where she was going, maybe there was one closer to her new home, but Hanako would figure everything out one step at the time. Maybe she should buy paint as well. That would be an interesting idea but she should definitely do everything all by herself and Hanako wondered what to do. She would focus on whatever the market had to offer her. She thanked the cabbie and paid and got out right in front of the sigh. It was an old industry place in the middle of town, the building there had to be removed and for years nothing was built there until the city decided to hold a daily market there, it was busy but at least not so bad as at peak hours because it was the end of the morning, most people were at work. She had her own signature bag on her shoulder but in there were a couple more, ones you could fold up and such, to use for the buying of supplies. Time to make a good meal tonight. MADE BY VEL OF GS

sometimes you want to go WHERE EVERYBODY KNOWS YOUR NAME
Living alone, for all its benefits, could get pretty old after a while. Especially for a social creature like Delta. The four-armed woman awoke from her slumber into the empty house fairly late into the morning, as was typical for her. The late working hours her occupation required meant she wasn't quite what one would call an early bird. With a mighty stretch of her four limbs, she pushed out what tension was in her body as she rose into the deathly quiet room. The stillness of her mornings was always somewhat unpleasant to her, something occasionally rectified by awakenings in the rooms of others... Or them in hers. Unfortunately, Delta's workload with running the bar now meant she wasn't exactly able to indulge herself as much these days. Not that she had any good company in mind right now. Nonetheless, today was actually a good day to be waking up alone, for Delta didn't need any awkwardness or timewasting this morning. No, on a rare occasion, Delta actually had plans before nightfall! Living alone meant one had to be rather practical with their time management, something Delta had adapted to over the past few years. Without the possibility of assistance, she had to be a bit inflexible with when she restocked on supplies. Essentials, food and her own personal stash of liquor needed to be refilled regularly, so she could remain self-sufficient. Put simply, she intended to do some shopping that morning. The bar didn't open for while yet, and Retsuko could handle the earlier shifts if Delta was out for a bit longer. With no time to waste, the amber-eyed lass went through her morning to tidy herself up for the day ahead. Fortunately, four-arms made the process of a morning routine much quicker by multitasking. Doing her hair while brushing her teeth, writing out her shopping list while making toast, etc. It was quite the convenient Quirk, all things considered. Once she was done, Delta donned her attire. A large, custom-tailored long, white sleeveless blouse was put on first. Ordered online from a business specializing in making clothes suited for Quirkers with unique needs. The industry had emerged very quickly with demand. Other than that, she was wearing some simple jeans and flat, along with a cozy shawl for the cooler weather. Her hair remained free as ever, however, even as her attire changed from the usual outfit she wore in the bar. That being said, Delta, of course, took her dark, flat-brimmed hat with her, for style was never abandoned. Being lucky enough to live in Tokyo itself, Delta only needed a short train connection to lead her to her first location. A quaint market she'd heard of in the past, something a bit new for her. Always good to mix it up every now and then, after all, and Delta was getting quite tired of the meals for one she kept purchasing. Learning to cook better could also have benefits for her bar... With one of those reusable shopping bags held in each of her lower arms, Delta marched into the markets in the late morning, having woken up not long ago at all, but still feeling ready and focused in her purpose. Of course, she drew looks with that appearance of hers, but it wasn't anything she wasn't already used to. Mutants were being a bit more of a common and accepted sight these days, fortunately. As Delta wandered into the market, ready to explore her options, she stumbled across a surprisingly familiar face. Any good bartender remembered her clients, and this particular woman had arrived on a particularly peculiar night. The inquisitve creature she was, Delta was approaching the dark-haired woman right away. "Ah, fancy seeing you here, Miss Hanako!" Delta proclaimed in her usual expressive and bemused tone, waving to Hanako with one of her free hands. "Out for some morning shopping?" From her recollection, Hanako was a blogger of sorts, just the type who'd be buying her own food at this time of the week.

at most I'm sleeping all these demons away Some fruits, that was something she suddenly felt cravings for, as well as chocolate but she had tried to forget the annoying little voice in the back of her head wanting to put every piece of bonbon in her mouth, she was already gaining weight because of another reason and she could not get a second reason with that, as that would probably be harder to miss. She was glad it wasn't so busy, that saved herself from gagging over people their perfume and sweaty smell, and it gave her the space to avoid bumping into people. She looked around about where to start, the whole field of the old industry place was taken, which meant you could basically walk in a circle and end up at the same spot with having seen almost every stall. She liked that idea as well, what she also liked was that it was not only for food but that they had all sort of things, you could buy books here too, tubes of paint, canvas and pencils, everything if only you knew at which stall you had to go. She stood near the closest stall at the entrance, who had the most beautiful looking oranges and apples, it almost looked like it was coming off an advertisement but for some reason, Hanako did not trust it and was literally staring at it when she heard a voice calling out her name. Now there were more people called Hanako but she could not help and look up. "Ara, Delta-san." She turned to look at the barista from a few weeks ago, fancy seeing her indeed. "Good to see you again, I, unfortunately, had no time to return yet to your lovely establishment but it's been on my list." She did not know if Delta had seen the article that she wrote about it, but she had been very positive, trying to avoid scandal information such as the information about a possum, she had only used either names or vague descriptions. She did not want people to be upset about the idea of rodents being there as Perry had been very intelligent, and drunk but that was not the point in her article. She nodded and showed her own bag, still empty. "I thought it was time to get out of the house and get some fresh food supplies and well maybe something fun I could bump into." She looked around Delta to see if she was alone, "Are you alone here too?" Who knew, maybe they could keep each other company, that surely would be a fancy thing to do. MADE BY VEL OF GS

sometimes you want to go WHERE EVERYBODY KNOWS YOUR NAME
The bartender didn't exactly have many proper 'friends' per se, but her acquaintances numbered plenty. The many patrons who visited her quaint establishment often piqued her interest in one way or another, and Hanako Mizuki was no exception to that rule. That keen amber eye of Delta's had quickly assessed her as a regular working woman, and that was somewhat the case. Hanako didn't have what might be a regular office job, Delta presumed, as she apparently worked in the blogging sphere. An employee of the online realm, one who Delta was quite fascinated by, partially for the service she might provide for The Fourth Corner. Free advertisement was something Delta could never turn down, and Hanako had provided that and then some. A denizen of the internet herself, Delta had seen the article, and was quite pleased with the positive reception. Now, to run into Hanako again here, posed even more opportunities for the four-armed woman. A useful acquaintance to have, Hanako might be, and one who was interesting enough for Delta to approach in the interest of establishing a stronger connection to the curious younger woman. With a toothy grin, Delta chuckled at Hanako's statement, internally quite glad that the other woman intended to return sometime to the Fourth Corner. "Ah, do come again then, dear~ It's only gotten more exciting since you were last there~" The bartender proclaimed, thinking on the new initiatives that had since been undertaken. From the fixing of their televisions to the new employees Delta had lined up through her recruitment schemes, things were looking very interesting these days. Delta nodded lightly to Hanako's following questions. "Indeed I am, Miss Hanako~ Perhaps we could remedy each other's lack of company this morning, then?" The bartender hummed lightly, quite tickled by the idea of some morning shopping - and potentially gossip - with a friend her own age. Delta would walk forward, alongside Hanako, if the offer was accepted, posing her first question right away as she glanced over nearby foodstuffs. "Do you live close by too? Or have you just come in for the markets?" If this was a consistent thing, perhaps Delta might have found another source of talk in this town.

at most I'm sleeping all these demons away Hanako had not expected to run into someone at the market at this hour, even if it was the end of the morning, she expected people to be at work, at least from the people that she knew, but to be fair, it was a nice surprise to actually see the bar owner again. She had been unaware of her so-called illness when they first met and thus might not have made the best impression, which was another reason she had not returned, she could not stand coffee nor the smell of strong alcohol in this first few weeks and it would be bad to give another bad impression. She surely would return at some point when she did not feel overwhelmed by smells in general. Which hopefully would be in a few weeks maximum. She had no idea how her body worked at this point. Apart from that, she had been locked up in her own penthouse before and going to the Fourth Corner had made her evening a lot more pleasant, even if the smell of coffee might have made a bit of a bad moment, but that had been already forgotten by the writer. "That only makes me more excited to go. When I feel better, I surely will." Which was another reason why she was not in her office right now, the good thing was that she was no longer on a sick leave as their boss knew why Hanako wasn't at work and was okay with it, as long as she did hand in the columns that Metropolitan needed, up till now, it was easy to keep up. She decided to explain why she was here and now noticed that Delta did not seem to be with someone else, so she asked if she was alone too. "That sounds like a wonderful idea," Hanako replied, happy about the fact that Delta thought the same the moment Hanako considered they were both alone. She would leave the stall where she was, still not trusting with how good the fruits looked, too perfect, so it was nice to just hang out and look for the rest. With the mental list of what she needed, she felt like she would obviously forget something. "I used to live in the centre of Tokyo but I recently moved to the outer circles for more space and to live together." She nodded, it sounded still very strange to say and she had not looked into the rental part for her penthouse, she promised G that she would do that. Maybe this afternoon? "It's very different, I do have to get used to the distance to get somewhere, but it's okay, it doesn't mean I am hours away from the city I know." She smiled and found another stall with fruits that she liked more and asked Delta to wait for a second so she could buy the pomegranates and some apples. MADE BY VEL OF GS

sometimes you want to go WHERE EVERYBODY KNOWS YOUR NAME
Such a pleasant surprise it was, to have this opportunity before her. Delta Ivey was never going to shy away from some way to make her day more interesting, so naturally, she was quite keen on the idea of spending more of it with Hanako. Not that they couldn't meet up some other time in the future, as it seemed the blogger had every intention to return... Once she felt better? Delta raised a curious eyebrow, recalling the moments where Hanako had acted a bit off within the bar. At the time, Delta had figured it either over-politeness or sickness, and it seemed the latter was the case. "Oh? Under the weather still? I hope you get better soon, dear~" The four-armed woman said gently, a brow still raised at Hanako in curiosity. All things considered, the other woman didn't really look that sick. Nor had she shown many symptoms thus far... Perhaps it was a deeper, more serious situation? Delta hadn't the foggiest idea; medical knowledge was not within her realm of expertise... Nor was dealing with and recognizing women in Hanako's actual position. Not too many of those expecting turned up at a bar, after all. With the uncertainty of that 'sickness' still looming, Delta was very pleased to hear that Hanako didn't mind tagging along together as they did their morning shopping. "Wonderful~" Delta proclaimed, walking alongside Hanako as they moved through the market. The bartender didn't have much particular in mind, mostly just planning on grabbing what looked good, so decided to see if Hanako had an eye for things as they moved along. During this, Hanako did answer one of Delta's questions. Which, obviously, only fed into Delta's curiosity. "I see, I see~ A former central city girl, then. It doesn't sound too bad, indeed~" The four-armed woman hummed along, her various limbs picking up and feeling some of the different fruits around, deciding which would be best for cooking and general snacking. Some tomatoes, apples, and citrus seemed to do the trick. The pomegranates didn't look too bad either, but Delta did restrain herself a bit. Money spent frivolously on food was money that could have been spent on fine drinks, after all! "You said you live together with someone? If you don't mind my asking, who is it you're sharing with?" Delta inquired as she walked alongside Hanako, a hint of slyness in her tone. "Family, friend? Or perhaps... Something a bit closer?" With all the teasing in her voice of a teenage girl, Delta seemed quite keen on what she might derive from Hanako on this topic. 0000 WORDS |

at most I'm sleeping all these demons away Would going to a bar be a bad thing if you were pregnant, considering she could not drink any liquor or alcohol in general or coffee and she wasn't sure if she was okay with drinking tea all the time and of course there were other soda's. Maybe she should just go once with G and enjoy it. She had slipped once she felt better, but that was a relatively strange concept either, hopefully starting next week this stupid nausea would be gone but that did not mean every other problem was gone either. She noticed how Delta said still, it seemed she had not missed it those weeks ago. She was always most concerned about issues at work and second on her list were the little bump and G, they shared the spot as they were intertwined most of the time but she hated how he wasn't on the top of her list that she had concerns about, albeit everything was intertwined in her brain. Hanako realized with the question from Kenshin and basically going back and forth to the house and home that she had no other hobbies than just writing and having a good date? She did like trying out new bars and well shopping wasn't all that bad but she rather went into a store, buy what she had in mind and go home again, not a hobby either. And with that, she had realized she also did not really have a friend to share that with. She eyed the woman next to her as they made their way over the market, how they both seemed to be happy to meet and talk about just anything. Maybe, she should go more often to the bar, only to befriend Delta, she really found her an interesting and marvellous woman. Because she thought of that it would also become easier to answer questions. Hanako was always slightly hesitant, wondering what would come bitting her in her ass if she would just answer everything, it probably had to do with the job she had. She did tell Delta just casually that she moved out of town. She looked some more at the fruits while buying the pomegranates and apples, she followed the example of buying a lemon and put it in the bag she already carried with her. She should keep in mind that she had to carry more and not immediately go on and buy too much. She turned to look up at Delta who asked the next question, forgetting herself to ask for questions as well, she wanted to know if she lived close to the bar or if it had an upper apartment. She would be afraid if she was an owner of such a fine establishment to leave it behind. She held up her left hand, showing off the ring because why not. "My fiancé." Why the hell not, she should definitely enjoy it and that meant telling everyone wherever in the world that she was engaged. Which was bad as she still had not called her family or emailed her grandmother. She could do that tonight. She checked if Delta had everything, and for some reason, Hanako wanted to tell so much about herself, that she had to resist throwing a waterfall of information at Delta. "He asked me to marry him at Valentine's day." She beamed happiness, she brushed her hair out of her face, using the same left hand to stop staring at the ring and look like a damn teenager. The reason why she added the thing about Valentine's day was basically telling Delta that when they first met it was not the case of being engaged. She asked if they could walk on to the next stall if both girls already got what they wanted, she smelled the fresh smell of bread and wondered if it was useful to buy that, she looked around. "How about you? Are you a city girl? I really do miss it here but again as I said, it's not that far, I need to get used to the silence from outside Tokyo city." She gave a chuckle, okay, stop talking about yourself all the time, that was rude. MADE BY VEL OF GS

sometimes you want to go WHERE EVERYBODY KNOWS YOUR NAME
Much like Hanako, Delta had some deal of interest in getting to know and potentially befriend the other women. There was a certain... Impermanence to a lot of Delta's relationships in the recent months, so a more casual and mutually beneficial connection sounded just fine to her. Of course, unlike Hanako, it wasn't as though Delta was interested out of lack of things to do or people to do them with... Rather, Hanako interested her enough to warrant some investigation into the idea of a proper friendship. There was such a curious connection between normal and abnormal with dark-haired woman, that Delta found palatable yet not disconcerting. A Quirkless working woman with an open-mind, the kind who paid no care for a possum appearing at the bar she visited. Intriguing, and nothing piqued Delta's interest in a person quite like intrigue. Indeed, Delta found no reason not to make a friend of this woman, even discounting the benefits of befriending a blogger. Besides, she could use a proper friend her age to do things with, and who was actually, well... Kind of fun. At the very least, she made the tedium of grocery shopping more fun, giving Delta someone to ask questions to and share information with as she stocked up on fruits and other supplies. Of course, Delta expected to be returned questions in kind, but didn't mind at all. Her life was an open book, so long as you didn't stray into the first few chapters, she would share plenty with her acquaintances. First, however, she took the opportunity to try and pry a bit of info out of Hanako, wanting to hear a bit more of the gossip about the woman's life. As soon as that ring was flashed, Delta knew she'd found something juicy, one hand raising to her mouth as she looked with great intrigue at the jewellery. "Oh! How lovely, dear~ What a lucky guy~" A bit of flattery goes a long way, and Delta was now more curious than ever about Hanako. Soon to be a married woman, hopefully that didn't mean Delta's potential friend was going to be tied down! The look of sheer, almost innocent joy on Hanako's face told Delta everything she needed to know about how Hanako felt about the engagement. Clearly, it was something that made her happy. Which made more sense, when Delta heard how her fiance had proposed. "Haha, on Valentines Day? A romantic, I see." Delta said with a chuckle, clearly quite fascinated by Hanako's love life. Romance was a genre Delta occasionally found interesting, after all. Even if her own romantic relationships were... Less glamorous. Delta herself could never imagine getting married, but was interested to see Hanako so overjoyed by the idea. Also ready to move onto the next stall, Delta would find herself naturally the target of the next question. It was only fair that she answer it, after all. While she looked over the bread available, picking up a couple loaves and loading it into one of her bags, Delta nodded and smiled to Hanako's question. "Well, I suppose I'm a city girl. I've been living in Shinjuku since I was 17, after all." Everything before that, didn't count, as far as Delta was concerned. She chuckled lightly to herself, glancing away for a moment as she pushed away any thoughts of life prior. "I'm currently living in an apartment near the bar, by myself, but it's quite cozy~ I couldn't imagine living without the city backdrop, to be honest. The lights and sounds are... Well, they're home." Delta looked over any other baked goods available, for some more delicate options, while glancing back at Hanako with a smile. "So, dear, tell me about your work~ I'm quite curious on it, and didn't get to hear you speak too much during your visit. What's it like, writing about your experiences?" Delta inquired, quite curious indeed about the occupation of a blogger, and not just because Hanako's blogs could benefit her bar. Though, that was definitely one factor for asking. 0000 WORDS |

at most I'm sleeping all these demons away Delta knew exactly how to say something that would make Hanako smile even more. Saying that Gil was a lucky guy was exactly what a woman like her wanted to hear. They were both lucky, she thought back to that day with happiness. How she was nervous that he did not like dates like that but that it happened to be depending on a yes or no. How he protected her, making sure she would not freak out, because he knew her too well. Yes, she wished they had been dating and together for a much longer time now the rollercoaster was going up and up and up, everything after each other. Their little one, the house and their engagement. She still loved the ring, he knew what she liked and she still wondered how he found the right ring so quickly. She wanted to say it, wanted to talk to someone else about their little one but she barely knew Delta, she again did not want to throw someone in a waterfall of information. What if people would judge her for getting pregnant so soon already, surely it wasn't planned, right? And they knew each other long enough. "Yes, yes he really is." Everything he tried to do to make her happy, their little dates, dancing, cooking together for christmas, the ice skating, everything made him a very romantic person in her eyes or well enough to see that he was trying and thinking in that way. She looked at the bread as she wanted to consider buying one, the smell was after all wonderful. Ah yes, the magical age of 17 it was the only thing that counted to Hanako, funny how they had such a thing in common. "I know exactly what you mean, the good thing is that the new house is better fitted for... well future endeavors such as children." She had to think about her future and what to do with it, hence why moving to that house was better, if not that it was so far away from musutafu what she did not like. She decided to buy a few of the melon bread that they had, might be still nice for tomorrow morning. She should keep an eye on what she was buying as she could not carry all for obvious reasons. She turned to look at Delta when she asked about her blog or well her work. "Oh yes, it's sometimes very fascinating since it is my opinion. I do get a lot of emails when people like to point out they do not agree, which to me seems like a waste of time. I do have to say that sometimes I find it rather difficult to put my opinion on paper, especially every day, I do sometimes believe my life isn't all that fascinating. I am also the assistant for Lady Scandal, which sometimes brings too much adventure in my life." Which was a lie obviously as she was Lady Scandal but it worked well, it did make her consider to bring a bit more of her private life in her blogs but well, she would see. MADE BY VEL OF GS

sometimes you want to go WHERE EVERYBODY KNOWS YOUR NAME
Although Delta didn't quite get the whole... Marriage... Thing, it wasn't hard to see the appeal some might draw from it. At least, it wasn't hard to see the joy that Hanako found in it. In having someone by her side, in being by theirs. Being the lucky woman to a lucky guy, it was all quite romantic, and Delta was intrigued that Hanako had such a sweet side to her. Perhaps the bartender would have to meet this mystery man who'd wooed the hard working blogger, just to see what had her so enamored! Indeed, as much as Hanako was trying to withhold information so as to not overwhelm Delta with it, the amber-eyed woman really just found herself wanting to hear more and more about this strikingly intriguing romance. Delta chuckled lightly to herself as Hanako confirmed he was a romantic, imaging what a guy he must be to propose on Valentines Day, of all days. Could one get any cheesier? Well, it worked, so maybe Delta was judging a bit too quickly. As they talked about their respective living arrangements, another very foreign idea was brought up: Children. Much like marriage, Delta had considered having children as not being something she was particularly interested on doing any time soon... Or, ever, really, but it looked the same couldn't be said for Hanako. "I see, I can see why it might be better for any little ones~" Delta hummed nonchalantly, not sure what else could be added to the subject from her perspective. The kids, the family, it was all rather outside her field of oddities, but she was still nonetheless interested in hearing about it from Hanako. This woman, so often bordering into the world of the abnormal, seemed to still have that air of normalcy to her life, an image of white picket fences, of houses with a husband and kids. It was difficult for Delta to describe or understand how she felt, hearing about such things proclaimed so happily. Occupations, however, was something the bartender could easily talk about, particularly when they were as interesting as Hanako's. Blogging wasn't too different from bartending, in some respects. In either occupation, one had to be prepared for the strangest of people to enter their workplace, and they had to know how to interpret that person closely. Only, the outcomes were different, between being served a drink and having a column written about you. The main difference, however, was that a bartender had to be more... Neutral. Being able to put your opinion like Hanako did was decidedly different, though all those hate mails Hanako talked about did sound rather troublesome. However, at least it came with adventure! "Hehe, I can imagine it can be quite adventurous in this day and age, though it doesn't sound too bad~" Delta hummed, grabbing some melon bread for herself after seeing Hanako grab some. "At least you get stories to tell~ Besides, I think your life sounds plenty fascinating, dear~" The four-armed bartender said with sincerity. Hearing how Hanako felt about her job was interesting, seeing as it was so different from your typical office affair. Unlike a woman trapped in an office chair, hunched over a computer, Hanako had some degree of freedom to her occupation. Her opinion was free, unchained, and Delta very much respected that about her. A woman who dared outside of the norms in such a way, yet curiously enough, was still very much a... Well, perhaps not a normal woman. Just, one that was unassuming on the surface. Delta glanced down into her bags, noting what she'd gotten so far. Produce and bread, essentials, now where to go... "Hmm, where next~" Delta hummed, to see where her companion was interested in taking their shopping trip next. 0000 WORDS |

at most I'm sleeping all these demons away She did not constantly keep her attention to Delta, she was daydreaming a slight bit. She had not had the opportunity to tell someone about her engagement. She had realized a lot of things in these last four months. Which made her look back up at Delta. She had no real hobbies apart from what was already her work and so on, maybe that was a bit pathetic, but the only people to tell about her engagement and her little baby were the children and her family in Kyoto as well as her aunt and uncle, which she had not done. She wasn't ready to tell them, because it felt close, intimate and she wasn't ready for their judgement. But she would call them tonight when she was home and relaxing, so she would be safe to consider to fuck you. She would be fine without them, she had managed almost ten years already without actually needing them, but a 17-year-old needed a guardian. Her aunt and uncle weren't so bad and neither were her cousins. To bring the conversation to the next subject, albeit she was scared, she simply said it was better for any little ones. Yes, she wanted to tell this woman very well her half excitement, half fear but she did not dare. She wasn't so sure about everything, surer than weeks ago, that was one thing but they barely knew each other. It would maybe be better to tell her though so she understood her strange behaviour when she went to visit the Fourth Corner and had not liked the coffee. Which she clearly lied about in her blog but not everyone needed the truth. Yes. Little ones. She had no idea how much kids he wanted but the first one was on the way, she held on to her bag as it hung around her elbow and she held her hand on her stomach, this coat still hid a lot, the weather helped her with a sweater as well. That was great for she wasn't ready for that yet. She looked at Delta as she was done with buying and paying for the bread and checked her bag. So the bar owner wasn't all too familiar with her articles, that could be a good thing. "It is not in general but Lady Scandal." She let out a sigh, Hanako herself was very happy with the Tokyo Underground chat, after all, she had called it her winning ticket in the lottery and she managed to get closer to get the information or where she wanted to find information. " She is not the easiest to satisfy with what she wants to know, I am not always in the right places to do interviews." She looked away to find another stall and noticed the one with paint. She had not expected it to be a stall so close to the food but she wanted to see if they had what she wanted. She looked first at Delta before walking over, "Oh thanks, I surely hope so, I mean I appreciate my life very much." But she avoided her private life, which was maybe more fascinating than she would be able to put down on paper. As the woman next to her hummed about where to go next and she pointed at the stall, "Would you mind, I want to look over there." Say it! MADE BY VEL OF GS

sometimes you want to go WHERE EVERYBODY KNOWS YOUR NAME
Kids, marriage, the full white picket fence, all things Delta made a conscious effort not to consider most days, so it was fortunate for Hanako that this anti-commitment nature had the bartender somewhat oblivious and uncaring about any potential secrets that lay hidden. As far as Delta was concerned, whatever Hanako enjoyed was her own prerogative, and it was in anyone's nature to follow their desires, to the four-armed carried no further judgment nor investigation into the woman's more personal matters, the secrets that lay hidden. Of course, the romance aspect still fascinated Delta, in more of a gossipy manner than any other. Besides, Hanako was utterly adorable when she spoke about her fiance so giddily. Less so when her job was the topic at hand, but that was to be expected, few people in this world were truly enthusiastic about their place of employment. Not to say Hanako didn't seem to at least be invested in her work, though it was clearly a source of stress in equal measure to fulfillment. Delta had at least hoped it would be exciting, but apparently, that was not the case, except for with Lady Scandal, who was evidently the woman's boss. Delta had seen her a few times in a certain deep web chatroom, so she knew the woman was a bold one. That sigh, that lamenting of how difficult to please Lady Scandal could be... It sounded as though, like many people, Hanako wasn't the biggest fan of her boss. Of course, at this point, Delta didn't see the irony in such a thought. "Hah, I do not envy you, dear. Perks of being self-employed is avoiding those pesky and demanding bosses, Lady Scandal sounds like quite a handful!" Delta proclaimed with a chuckle, thinking back to her own experiences when she'd been under the employment of the bar's former owner. He'd always been a stickler for good form and following the rules, a proper church man even after his departure from the organization. Those memories, fond as they were, carried an undercurrent of freshly reminded pain, so Delta had no problem changing the subject to their next target. As Hanako thanked Delta for her words on her life, the woman just smiled back. "To have a fiance that can have you looking like a schoolgirl, I'd hope you appreciate that life of yours!" Delta teased the woman. It may not be for her, the "normal" life, the marriage and kids, but it seemed to suit Hanako just fine. That aside, next up was choosing where to go next. Delta didn't have any preference, but it looked like Hanako had something in mind. "Paint? Doing some renovations, hm? I don't mind, so long as we can keep talking." The four-armed woman uttered, shrugging with all four of her appendages. It didn't seem like a strange place to want to check out, considering Hanako's earlier statements about recently moving in with her fiance. Delta herself didn't have any use for paint at present, but the company more than made up for it. 0000 WORDS |

at most I'm sleeping all these demons away Wondering about the sort of small hints she dropped, Hanako wondered if it was okay to share with someone, considering she barely knew Delta but she really liked this conversation. She felt rather happy, satisfied and less afraid of what they were talking about, as she had realized before and as she had written in her article, Delta was a charmer and very charismatic to make people feel at ease to talk to her or the others at the bar. She looked down at her body but not many people would see the changes that she saw, maybe G would, but that was only logical now. For some reason she wanted the attention, she wanted the normal life that girls her age might wonder about, she did never wonder about it before. Her job was her most important thing, reading the news, trying to catch up on the gossip and the like. It was very tiring but she loved it and now she had to learn that there was so much more. She laughed at Delta, calling herself bossy, yes, she could see that. Pushing and pulling herself so far. Shivers went down her spine when she thought of the intentions that she had for herself. "Well at the moment she had drilled enough information in my head that with interviews I barely screw up, she gets all the information she wants. It's a shame that she barely takes a day off." She shook her head mildly as she walked on. It lately felt much worse to lie to people who she wanted to bond with. Not telling Gil what she was doing as a job, he simply thought she was a blogger and he simply could not understand why she was irreplaceable, but that was only because of the scandals she knew to find and use. There had been a few try-out scandal columns in other magazines, she obviously kept an eye on that but they did not want to go as far as she did, so they died after a few weeks because the readers did not like it. She had made nasty comments about it herself too, no one would steal her job. Like a schoolgirl? She closed her eyes shortly as she tried not to laugh, she hated going to school as no one paid attention to her, she was smart but Nanami was more interesting. But she was satisfied with the answer nonetheless and her mind wandered on. Living together, getting married and having a baby, who would ever think that Hanako would fit in that picture. Nonchalant she put her right hand, with her bag still dangling from her elbow, on her little bump. Especially when her eyes looked from left to right over the little pots and buckets of paint. She wanted a light green, something soothing. She should say it as she looked up, the renovations were practically done, they only needed some finishing touches. "Actually, we are going to paint the baby room." MADE BY VEL OF GS

sometimes you want to go WHERE EVERYBODY KNOWS YOUR NAME
The irony of their talk about Lady Scandal flew over Delta's head, though one couldn't exactly blame her for not seeing the connection. On one hand, there was Hanako, who as far as Delta was concerned, represented so much of that normal and 'ideal' life that most women of their age led. On the other, this Lady Scandal, who didn't exactly sound like the kind of woman who had time for kids and marriage. However, the identity of the two overlapped, in conflicts Delta was completely unaware of at present. All she knew was Hanako, the somewhat normal yet entirely unique woman who with an open mind, who complained so readily about her 'boss'. "Always working, hm? Sounds like the woman needs to relax a bit more. It lets you age a bit easier~" Delta uttered with a chuckle, oblivious to the irony of her statements. In a way, it wasn't terribly unfair that Hanako was lying to Delta about this. After all, the four-armed woman hadn't been completely honest when recounting her own history during Hanako's first visit. They each had their own reasons for keeping their secrets, and although the naturally inquisitive Delta would have loved to dig through any obfuscation to sate her curiosity, the woman rarely held any grievances against deception and secrecy herself. She knew they were but on one of the many social tools people wielded. However, Hanako wouldn't keep all her secrets from Delta, as the four-armed woman would soon find out. After the blogger proposed they go look at paint of all things, the bartender had inquired for what purpose Hanako sought the material. As Delta's amber eye looked over the paints, she got an answer, that would soon have that same eye wide in surprise. "Oh?"The pieces clicked very quickly. Hanako wouldn't be painting a baby room unless there was some immediate expectation... Or rather, Hanako was expecting. Delta was, for a moment, taken aback, unsure how to even respond to the sudden and casually dropped news. Hanako had actually managed to fluster Delta, if for a moment. Hanako really was living the ideal life, wasn't she? Well, the usual concept of 'ideal'. "Oho, congratulations, dear~" Delta uttered with her usual smooth tone, clapping lightly with two of her free hands, while the others continued looking over the paint. Engaged with kids on the way... Delta could hardly imagine such commitment, but still smiled and congratulated Hanako. "I didn't realize you were expecting~ When's he or she due?" Delta wasn't quite sure how to handle a topic like this, but she was intrigued nonetheless. All the talk of this committed lifestyle felt foreign and strange to the woman, but it didn't seem to be as such for the relatively more 'normal' Hanako, so Delta was curious to hear the woman's own experiences. Besides, it wasn't like she could help much with the selection of paint. Delta wasn't exactly sure what would look nice inside of a baby room, outside of the usual blue or pink... 0000 WORDS |

at most I'm sleeping all these demons away She laughed a little when she heard Delta talk, maybe she should get used to that indeed. Maybe she should stop working so much and worry about freedom and friends. Maybe that was all that mattered to her now. She had realized that a lot and she was more of a robot considering what she liked and what she did. The only reason she might look human was the fact, that she was expecting a child. "I should send her to your bar, that is if she would ever take a suggestion from me." She smiled, she should go more often to Delta her bar but at this point, she could not do anything there anyway, she should just relax a bit more often. That would be a wonderful idea. Hang out more with Delta too? Maybe? If the other would allow her, she would like that idea as well. Hanging out with other people. She took a little can of green and asked for the light grey colour and took that one as well next to her, but she put it down and smiled when she put her hand on her bump and said they would paint the baby room. Technically speaking, she was going to paint the baby room by herself, she wanted to do that as a surprise, to hold on to something, to understand what it felt like but maybe, really maybe, she was ready enough. After all, she just told Delta. She felt a bit embarrassed about telling it like this especially considering that she was just saying oh, but eventually, it seemed that she got to find the words to say and Hanako twirled a piece of hair around her finger. "T-thank you." It felt a little bit unsure but she was okay with that, not everything would come all at once after all. She tried to stand up right again and not be confused and hesitant anymore about herself. "halfway September." She did not know the gender yet, that would take a few more weeks before they were sure after all. She would see what would happen but at this point, that was not what she was thinking about. "So I thought about trying to ehm make a neutral baby room for that, I mean, I want to do it myself but I am not sure how good I am." She bit her lip softly and looked back at Delta, "Sounds like a picture perfect plan isn't it? I can tell you it did not feel like that." Shut up, shut up now, shut up. MADE BY VEL OF GS
