This was Eli's first time at the Pink Jackal. Sure the place was generally a nightclub in the front. But at the back it had a training area in the back. And it was perfect for them to spar. G, along with Haruuhi had showed Eli where they would spar and train and hold lessons.
Since Haruuhi and G lived together, together they would come and show Eli the ropes.
Once the two were fully ready and settled, G spoke
"Haruuhi, this is Eli from 1C aka CrystalGuy123. Eli, this is Haruuhi. My daughter from 1B aka Radio on the chat. You two are gonna have a sparring match. It's not gonna be a serious battle to the death. Just.... fight until you cant fight or until you restrain someone. Kind of like a Pro would restrain a Villain. Fight, spar, have fun. I'll be the judge. And if anyone goes too far, Im stepping in. Considering in 2 days the whole festival competition starts, I gotta get you ready." G explained
Now he stepped away from their makeshift arena, and went to the sidelines
"Ok. Ready... set... FIGHT!!" he said and sat down, crossed his arms and watched the two

When Eli first showed up at the Pink Jackal Haruuhi raised an eyebrow at the boy. Why was it that more and more of her classmates were finding their way to G for training? Wasn't class hard enough without all of this additional training? Also if they got caught, they were all going to be in serious trouble... she was going to have to make sure Eli understood that.
"Hey Crystal Knight. Nice to see you again, but uh, you realize how much trouble you can get into right? I at least have the plausible excuse that he's my father, but if you get caught here you could get expelled."
She stated post G's introductions. Haruuhi put her hands on her hips as she turned to face Eli face to face, a stern look on her face which was unlike any look Eli would have seen before.
"You should be much more concerned about your hero studies and taking things seriously!You can't be a Hero if you get yourself expelled, so you should get back to the dorm. Well?"
She sounded super stern and actually looked the role of a class vice president for a moment. for a girl that had just been beaten to an inch of her life not that long ago, she aired a sense of confidence she never had before.
"What's it gonna be? Are you going to go back? Because even if you stay you have to win against me, and I"m dragging your ass back to U.A if you can't win."

Of all the people he could have been sparing against...it was Radio. He first met the read head in a training exercise overseen by Geist. At that time, they were on the same team, but now they would be fighting. She didn't approve of Eli being there, but that didn't surprise him. His decision to be trained by G wasn't one most people would have expected him to make. Eli had recently been thinking about a lot though, did he really want to be a hero as opposed to a vigilante? Still her comments about him possibly getting expelled made him a little mad, "It's not like I'm going around doing vigilante work or anything right now Haruuhi. It's just a spar. Whether I decide to keep doing stuff or not is my decision though, even if you think it's stupid. Trust me, I've thought about my decision to do this, I'm not just gonna impulsively do something like Darren. The reason I want to be a hero is to help people. If I did decide to become a vigilante, it would only be because there would be less publicity to get in the way of helping others. I have my reasons for being here, and even if you take me back to my dorm, I'll just end up back here anyways."
Did Eli expect to win? Not in the slightest. He knew Haruuhi was way more experienced than he was. Still this was a sparing match, he wasn't just gonna walk away. He was gonna give it his all and if Haruuhi still had issues with him being there afterwards, they could talk it out. Hopefully she wasn't just being a hypocrite and had an actual reason for being here herself that wasn't the same as his. For now, he shook away his thoughts, he had to focus on the fight he was about to have, "Go ahead and try to drag me back though! I'll admit you're stronger, but that doesn't mean I won't go down without a fight!"

G was slightly surprised by Haruuhi's words. Was she.... overprotective of him? Aww, that was so cute~
"Now now Haruu. Dont worry about Eli. He's chill and he's worthy. You'll all gonna be fiiine. Although, I am questioning how and why students keep finding me. At this rate I'll just make class 1-G" he said jokingly
Now to work
"So, are you two cool with learning together? I mean, its good that you're fired up, but keep that for the sparring. We gonna focus on hand to hand combat. So no Quirk use. We can try to keep the rules from the real tournament. No mauling and killing and disfiguring. It's just a spar match. You win if you restrain your foe or KO him... or if your foe gives up. Does that sound reasonable you two?" he asked
He didnt want the two students to have bad blood. They had to work together, team up and harmonize.... Well... not now because they'll fight. But in the future, cooperation will be their key to victory

Cooperation... yes, his next lesson can be about that. Students teaming up against 'Villains'! Now there's an idea G could use

Haruuhi sucked in a deep breath at Eli's answer, her eyes only narrowing further whenever G chimed in making it seem like it wasn't a big deal. While she had not long ago considered abandoning becoming a hero to become a vigilante... she had been convinced otherwise, and that decision spurred something in her. Along with her duty as class Vice Prez, she had to make sure Eli understood just what kind of trouble he could get into.
"Becoming a Vigilante shouldn't be a decision. What you just said, is that you are considering breaking the law. While that in itself isn't illegal, the instant you act without your hero license, you are. It may be true that you have some extra freedom as a Vigilante but you're not only fighting bad guys at that point. You're fighting good guys, and you're fighting the cops. So get that out of your head and focus only on becoming a Hero!"
She scolded him, the hands she had placed on her hips shifting in front of her as she brought up her guard. Her feet would also shift into a 'cat stance'. She didn't need balance and strength to beat Eli, she needed speed so this was the better stance for that.
"Yeah, that works dad... but Eli, I won't let you act as a Vigilante got it?"
She stated before suddenly pushing off with her back leg, quickly closing the small gap that was between the two and swinging her right fist up towards Eli's jaw in an uppercut. This was going to be a bit harder if she couldn't use her quirk...

No quirk use? Hand to hand combat? Talk about a disadvantage for Eli! The last time Eli had seen Haruuhi fight, she was fairly skilled. However she was able to use her quirk during that exercise. He was hoping that she wasn't very experienced with fist fighting just as Eli was. Of course since he had seen her on before, he knew that her hand to hand combat was superior to his...but he had to have some hope or the fight wouldn't be fun at all!
Haruuhi continued her lecture as expected, everything she said he already knew though. It wasn't like he was making a spur of the moment decision or anything, he hadn't even completely decided yet. He knew Haruuhi meant well, but it really didn't have any effect on his current mindset, "It's not that simple Haruuhi you know that, but we can continue this conversation after we beat each other up yea? Don't hold back on me all right!" With that, Eli put his fists up in a standard position that most martial artists used. He had seen Darren fight plenty of times in spars, and he would try to do similar movements. Little did he know it would be far more difficult than he expected.
He barely had time to notice Haruuhi's stance before she launched towards him and attempted to deliver an uppercut. Eli put both his hand together where the palm was facing Haruuhi's fist and hoped it would block the attack. Regardless of the outcome he would then aim a punch directly at her stomach. He had seen Darren do these moves countless times, surely they would work for him too, right?

Eli brought his hands up in an open palmed block, essentially catching her fist before it managed to collide with his chin. Good for him, problem with that was that both of his hands were now busy, so whenever he brought one hand back to try and punch her, it was easy for Haruuhi to manoeuvre a block. Her left hand swooped down as if she was going to try and punch the floor, and with her hand still caught in Eli's block she would sidestep then fold in her arm. Essentially, she just caught his fist with the crook of her arm, holding it there so he would have to remove his hand from her right fist.
The movement was quick, but just as Haruuhi sidestepped and grappled Eli, she swung out her right leg in an attempt to hook Eli's own. Along with the grapple, if he fell it would be easy for her to use her weight and push him down, thus gaining the advantage. It had been a while since she'd gotten to use her martial arts skills properly, but now that she got going it was like riding a bicycle. It was all coming back to her, the movements, the steps, blocks and grapples... all those days spend outside the dojo watching the students was hopefully going to pay off here.

Haruuhi proved to Eli that it took more than just watching an experienced guy like Darren's fighting style to be good at hand to hand combat. His initial punch was caught in between the girl's arm, leaving him without anything to attack other than his legs. Before he could go back on the offensive though, he would have to defend against Haruuhi's attacks. Since he was focused on Haru's next move, Eli noticed her right leg move and attempted to counter it. He shot his right leg out to meet hers, making an x. Fed up with defense, he started his attack.
First and foremost, he moved his head to the side and released Haru's right hand in order to punch her left shoulder in an attempt to free his other hand. Then he would aim a left kick to her left side. Finally, he would move his right leg in an arc motion to try to trip Haru. Now he knew that hand to hand combat was much more than just motions. For him, it was much easier to go on the defensive than the offensive. He smiled knowing that even though Haru was obviously much more experienced than him, he was still giving her a run for her money. Even if he didn't win he wasn't gonna lose without a good fight.

Phantom pain was a bitch. As soon as Eli punched her shoulder she gasped, her brain immediately relapsing to the pain she suffered whenever Bucket broke every single joint in her body. Her heartrate started to go up and panic began to run rampant in her mind. That moment of terror that washed over her was more than enough time for Eli to sweep his own leg underneath Haruuhi's in an attempt to trip her up.
"EEP"
She instinctively grabbed onto Eli as tightly as she could, though only managing to grab his shirt before she began her plummet to the ground, fully aiming to drag him down with her. As soon as her back hit the ground, it seemed to snap her out of that horrified trance and Haruuhi was able to focus once more on the here and now. If she wasn't successful in pulling Eli down with her, she would bring her hands up above her head then use the strength and momentum to push herself back up to her feet and try to swing at his again. however if she was successful in pulling him down to the ground with her, she would try to grab any arm that she could and wrap her legs around it, positioning her feet by his neck to deter him from struggling to get out of her hold too hard.

Eli's punch to his old allies shoulder connected, as did his sweep underneath the girls legs. Haruuhi's skill level seemed to drop for some reason, what was she thinking about? Did he trigger some kind of bad memory? She grabbed on his shirt while he was thinking about her well being, and pulled him down with her. His back hit the ground hard, causing him to grit his teeth and regain his focus quickly. Haruuhi started to grab his arm, however he rolled over onto his stomach at first, but continuing back onto his back to avoid her. He then picked himself back up, planting his feet on the ground.
Eli would wait to attack until Haruuhi got up, he didn't wanna kick the girl while she was down. As soon as she composed herself Eli would charge her, aiming a right punch straight for the girls stomach, making it a combo by delivering a right kick to the girls knee. He then backed up again, putting his fists up in an attempt to guard. His breathing began to get heavier, it was clear he was pushing himself. He gave Haruuhi a huge grin to show his enjoyment, "You enjoying this as much as me? I love a good spar!" Hopefully Haruuhi wouldn't find his comment inconsiderate. He just couldn't help but enjoy it!

The pain from where Eli had hit her was intense... not so much because of how hard he hit her, but because of her mind making it feel like those bones were just as broken as they had been back with Bucket. Even as she attempted her grapple and failed, she would start biting at he rlwer lip, the rising panic she was trying to keep down surfacing more and more with every passing moment. If Eli looked closely enough, he could see the sheen of water in her eyes. She wasn't crying... not yet, but she was just moments away from it.
'Suck it up suck it up suck it up... doesn't hurt! Just keep going... prove to him you aren't a weak little girl he needs to keep protecting...'
She wanted to let the tears fall, but the look of determination behind those glossed eyes refused to let it happen. Then Eli had the gall to say he was having fun and her heart skipped a beat. How was any of this fun? Even if she wasn't panicking, how was beating on others fun at all! Even if it was just a spar! She full on grit her teeth after that comment, her gaze growing darker, and one that G would surely recognise. Her panic was leading her into fight or flight, and that surely wasn't going to end well for Eli.
She didn't even deign to give him an answer. Instead whenever Eli rushed her she firmly set her feet into the ground, swinging her right arm down in a low block, shifting Eli's punch away from her then raising her left fist to punch the boy square in the face. Normally she wouldn't have hit him like that... but in her panicked and now infuriated mind she wanted to make sure Eli knew exactly why spars weren't fun... why fighting wasn't something to find enjoyment in... She'd make sure he understood pain well enough to no longer enjoy it....

Elis hopes at winning seemed to be dashed almost instantly. Haruuhi's face went from timid and scared to determined and pissed as hell. It seemed that she didn't view fights as a way of fun. He basically walked into the girls punch, directly after his was blocked. The girl had landed the first real hit in the fight, and boy was it a good one. Elis vision blurred as he took a step back to compose himself. He blinked a few times until his vision returned to normal. The girl hadn't given him a vocal answer, but her opinion was clear. She didn't think fights were something to be fun, her facial expression and the power behind the punch showed that. Eli did think that the girl misunderstood though, he didn't think all fights were fun and games. A friendly spar though? That he viewed as fun. Showing each other your abilities and seeing which of you came out as the victor, Eli couldn't think of something more fun. Still Haruuhi made it clear what her opinion on it was, and instead of continuing to speak and make her more angry, Eli kept quiet and started to focus on the fight.
Eli now wore a determined face to match Haruuhi, clearly not joking around anymore. He once again approached the girl, making note to not stop moving, and shot a right punch straight to the girls side. He then quickly pulled the right punch back and attempted another right punch to the girls shoulder. Pulling it in one more time, he then shot a left punch for the girls stomach. The girl would find that Eli's punches held more power than before at this point. He wasn't near as strong as Darren, but the punches packed a punch! His face continued to have a serious expression as he delivered his attacks.

Her fist connected with his face and Haruuhi felt nothing... no remorse, no guilt, no pleasure. Nothing. She hated this so much, that even though she was glaring at Eli with such a fierce determination, she couldn't help the small tears that began to slip from her eyes. After her fist connected, Eli was quick to retaliate by punching her in the side, then promptly in the shoulder that was already hurting like crazy. She let out a pained yelp before angrily grabbing the third punch that was aimed at her gut.
"Fuck off!"
She yelled at him this time, a sudden loud screeching sound blasting out of Eli's headphones with the ferocity of a fully equipped sound system. She broke the rule and used her quirk to amplify the headset as much as she could to pump sound directly into his ears.
With her surprise distraction in play she pulled on Eli's arm to drag him towards her, kneeing him in the gut before pointing her open left palm at his back and aimed to blast him into the ground rather harshly.

G watched the fight and enjoyed how skilled the two were. He was proud when watching Haruuhi battle. His baby girl is fierce. But he will make her more fierce. As he watched it seemed there was no banter in this fight, it was all super serious. That is until Eli spoke that he enjoyed this. But Haruuhi not so much, she was crying. He wishes he can do something but he cant stop the fight now.
Although soon that wish would come true as Haruuhi broke the rules of the fight and used her Quirk. Before she could deal another blow though, G quickly stepped in and blocked her attack. He did want to make her more fierce, but now was not the time and place
"Easy girl. He's not the enemy" G said as he now moved between the two and tried to calm Haruuhi down with a hug and shushing her. He noticed her tears, he didnt want her traumatized or anything.
But now that he calmed Haruu a teenie bit, he turned to Eli to see how he was.
"Oh God, is he deaf?" G thought to himself
He didnt wanna yet announce the winner and loser of the fight before he made sure Eli wasnt permanetly damaged

Eli's first and second punches to the girls side and shoulder both connected. He knew the girl was crying at this point, but her determined face made him keep going. It wasn't that he didn't care, he just knew that Haruuhi didn't want to stop fighting right now, and his respect for her kept him from stopping himself. No pulled punches, no cheap shots. He was giving the girl his all out of respect, and she was clearly trying her hardest to do the same without breaking, but it was inevitable.
Static, that's all Eli could hear for a few seconds. Disoriented and angry, Eli threw his blaring headphones and wedged a diamond spike in between both sides of the speaker. His red headphones were now broken across the sparing room. It was obvious that Haruuhi was the cause, and for about thirty seconds Eli couldn't hear a thing. As soon as Eli finished throwing the headphones, he noticed Haru grabbing his arm, and bringing her knee towards him. He knew he wouldn't be able to block it, so he just kind of stood there until G jumped in the way.
From where Eli was standing, his respect for the vigilante only grew. He couldn't hear a word of what he was saying, but the hug itself was enough for Eli to know. It was clear that he had triggered something in Haruuhi that he hadn't known about, whether on purpose or not. He looked at Haruuhi and apologized with his head down, the happy nature of the orange haired boy "Sorry if I said or did something that upset you Haru...I'll uh, I'll be sitting on the wall if you need me." Eli wasn't really certain if he actually said something or not, but he still went to sit down on the wall. It started as a lean of course, but his body quickly melted to the floor. Haruuhi had taken a lot out of him, not as much as Darren since he didn't use his quirk, but still a huge amount nonetheless. Plus in the fight with Darren there were no tears, nothing to make him feel like he was a scum of the earth type person. In this one? That's exactly how he felt. There was a huge gray area of what he should and shouldn't have done, but he couldn't blame himself right? No, he was to blame for sure, even if he didn't know what caused it. As his hearing began to come back, along with a slight ringing noise, Eli waited for G and Haruuhi to approach him.
