APPEARANCE AND PERSONALITY
Appearance:
Jasmine is a rather tall, lean and athletic woman with a fair bit of curvature. Her hair, which was once a golden blonde, is now naturally ashen white and long, though recently she has begun to dye her hair a mix of black and gold. Her sharp and upturned eyes, once a deep lilac, are now a glistening ocean blue, yet despite this drastic change her irises still adapt the crimson radiance that they were once known for whenever her quirk is in use.

DISLIKES
✖ Nosiness; boredom; mornings; high-heels; cowards; quitters;
Personality:
Jasmine Noir is somewhat of an enigmatic persona. Outwardly, she is perceived by many to be an intimidating, uncaring individual whose only purpose in life is to further her own goals and ambitions. While that is not necessarily incorrect, those who are close to the wolf know that they wouldn't find anybody more loyal than her. Earning Jasmine's trust is obviously not an easy feat given what she has been through during the course of her life -- which is subsequently the reason why she prefers to work alone as well -- but once she lets someone in they will find a different side of Jasmine: a caring and sincere heart which will put the well-being of others before her own to a borderline unhealthy degree.
This part of her is also very prevalent in the work she does as a hero. While her motto is to first and foremost completely crush any dangers to society without a shred of remorse, she will undoubtedly risk her life for the public no questions asked, jumping into dangerous situations in service of those in need without hesitation.
While Jasmine is prone to self-sacrifice and fights with what can seem like little regard for her own well-being, she does so intelligently. Every single move she makes is calculated and put under a microscope for reflection. She is diligent in her desire to grow both physically and mentally and as such has a work ethic and a fierce competitive drive very few can match. Be smarter. Be faster. Be stronger. Be better. Some have even found this side of her obsessive. It is because of these factors that Jasmine is incredibly confident in her own abilities as well; a confidence that has been mistakenly labeled as arrogance quite a few times in the past.
In her daily life, though, Jasmine is quite mellow. While she does prefer solitude and rarely seeks companionship, she is not one to shun anybody trying to approach her. Beyond the gruff and perhaps scary exterior is a friendly and kindred spirit which tries to be approachable, warm, and understanding.

HISTORY
Jasmine Nicole Noir was born as the only daughter to Leonard and Nicole Bryant-Noir in Brooklyn, New York. Despite the fact that her parents were Vigilantes as the idea of Pro Heroes was still a pipe dream at the time, Jasmine's early years had been relatively normal for a girl as young as she was. The young family had everything going for them -- a warm home, a stable income, a close and tightly knit community they were a big part of, trustworthy friends... happiness.
Sadly for Jasmine, fate had other plans. Leo and Nicole's work eventually caught up with them and followed them home after they had tangled with the wrong people. The two vigilantes fought valiantly to protect what was theirs, however it was not enough. With their dying breath, Leo and Nicole managed to protect that which was most important to them. Their little firecracker. Their light.
Jasmine, now an orphan at the mere age of seven years old, had found herself in the care of Nathan North, the now-Pro Hero otherwise known as Jaeger, who was also a close friend of Jasmine's deceased parents and her Godfather. Nathan raised the girl for a good handful of years, teaching her how to fight and survive along the way. One day, however, he received a lead that pointed him towards Leo and Nicole's killers. Overcome with the thirst for revenge, the then-vigilante set out in search for blood, leaving Jasmine to fend for herself when she realized he wasn't coming back.
The girl found little refuge on the streets at the mere age of twelve, and was forced to face and overcome far more hardship than a girl her age ever should. She was involved with vigilantes, gangs, the police, even fought against the system that tried so desperately to put her in the foster care she couldn't bring herself to trust.
What little warmth the young girl found was quickly taken away from her. Any semblance of a would-be home would always be destroyed by the ever growing quirk conflict that ran rampant on the streets of New York. Jasmine, having hit rock bottom far too many times by that point, was on the verge of giving in to the world's desire to reject her. Until something snapped.
This particular moment was Jasmine's breaking point as much as it was her turning point. The young girl's chest swelled with anger as her eyes burned with tears and crimson rage. She had had enough. She refused to let her fire be put out one last time. Much alike her parents, Jasmine's own fire burned brightest in the face of adversity, and on that day she had made a vow. A vow to never again consider accepting defeat. It was this vow which turned the firecracker into a dazzling ember burning brightly among the dying fires of her life.
Jasmine herself turned to vigilantism as an act of defiance, donning the moniker Ember. Every victory, no matter how insignificant, was celebrated with explosive colors on the darkest walls of New York's most depraved alleys. Fighting, the girl made a name for herself, all of which accumulated into a notoriety of sorts. A notoriety that culminated into her way out - a so-called hero who came to her with a message from U.A. high school in Musutafu, Japan.
The journey across the Pacific Ocean hadn't been an easy one despite the fact that Jasmine was knocking on the door of a completely different life. Gone were the nights spent alone on the streets fighting for every scrap she could get her hands on. Jasmine had suddenly found herself people who she could, on some level, relate to. People she could call rivals, friends, mentors... lovers.
A person she called home.
Despite it having its own issues, many of which challenged every single one of Jasmine's core beliefs about the world at large, the girl would be the first one to say that her freshman year at U.A. was likely the best year of her entire life. Everything she once wished she had, she now did. It all felt like a dream.
Yet... by this point Jasmine's life had an established pattern which, no matter how hard she fought, she couldn't seem to break. Jasmine and her lover, Rinkusu Kurama, had decided to go on a vacation back to New York after their first year at U.A. was over. A vacation that unfortunately ended up being prolonged by the whole of another year, making the two girls unable to come back to Japan.
Jasmine had been pulled into her old life by people she thought were nothing but a memory. She was forced to do things she wasn't proud of to protect those she cared about, eventually going into hiding, unable to actually flee the city, let alone state or country. Their situation eventually spilled over and culminated with a confrontation in Madison Square Garden where both Rin and Jasmine fought tooth and nail to protect what was theirs... and while the fight was won, Jasmine was rendered comatose, declared braindead.
Until she mysteriously woke up from her coma several months later, looking like a completely different person. Her hair was no longer blonde but rather took on the color of ash. Her eyes were no longer a vivid lilac but a sharp and deep blue. Her overall complexion had also changed, becoming more pale than it was before. But, most important of all - Rin was nowhere to be found. She just... disappeared. Without a trace.
Jasmine spent months searching high and low for clues of Rin's whereabouts. Something inside her, some sort of... sixth sense, told her that her little Raven was still alive somewhere.
It was then that the ashen wolf realized she had lost everything she ever had. Again. She was alone in a massive steel forest of a metropolis without a single shred of warmth to console her. Beyond even that, the girl didn't have a single penny to her name anymore either.
Which was exactly when she decided to give her friend and mentor Red Horn a call.
She was on the next plane out of New York, headed for Tokyo and, ultimately, back to U.A..
