Kari Fujisaku
BASIC INFORMATION
Hero/Vigilante/Villain alias: None (for now)
Player Name: BuildaSealWorkshop
Faceclaim/Series: Haruhi Suzumiya from The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya
Age: 18
Gender: Female
Affiliation: Villain
Height: 1.57m
Weight: 50kg
Hair/Style: Kari's hair is brown and kept at roughly shoulder length. She wears it in whatever style she needs for her work as an idol, though her preferred hairstyle is loose on her head, held in place with only a headband or hair tie.
Skin/Scars: Generally, she has a fair complexion with the slightest hints of a tan from outdoor gigs. She has some slight, rough scarring on her upper back and arms from using her Quirk (see below).
Eyes: Her eyes are a light brown to hazel color. They are wide and innocent-looking, especially when she's excited.
Notables: Kari is loud. Like, really, really loud. Someone would be inclined to wonder how anyone could make so much noise. Obviously, this only applies when she's not actively engaged in villainous activities. Works as a small-time solo idol trying to slowly gain popularity.

APPEARANCE AND PERSONALITY
Appearance:
Kari is a deceptively petite girl. For the sake of her idol career, she maintains a very rigorous diet and exercise routine that keeps her body fit. This can mostly be seen in her legs, which are noticeably toned. She cares a great deal about her appearance and spends a long time getting ready in the mornings. Her end goal is not to saturate her face in make up but rather to produce a look that seems tastefully nonchalant. Kari wants to look like she barely needs to try to look as cute as she does, something that is arguably more difficult than just caking on layers. The rest of her body is fairly average in the "important assets," but she doesn't let that bother her in the slightest.
She likes to dress in clothes that keep the skin of her limbs exposed for the sake of using her Quirk. Her favorite garments are tank tops in some sort of bright color paired with khaki shorts. Kari likes to accessorize with jewelry and has pierced ears, but she tends to avoid bracelets or other items on her wrists that would interfere with her Quirk. The outfits that she wears for her idol work are by necessity incredibly variable, and she puts on whatever the production company tells her to. Without exception, they have some sort of mechanism to allow her to use her Quirk in her shows, usually by rubbing her upper back. When she's made the decision to kill someone, Kari dons a surgical mask and blond wig that she keeps among her belongings.

Personality:
Kari tries to be the life of the party in any situation she's put into. She is bubbly and energetic, almost to the point of being annoying. Much like her Quirk, Kari tends to be flashy and loves when all eyes are on her. Definitively extroverted, it takes a lot for her to sit quietly and do nothing. Many idols have a stage persona that they put on to gain fans and popularity, but Kari is blessed to be outgoing and friendly by default. In fact, it could be argued that it's more difficult for her NOT to attempt making friends with everyone in the room. Like many girls her age, she loves sweets, particularly red velvet cake because it reminds her of blood.
For the most part, Kari is a genuinely lovely girl to be around. That is, until vigilantes or villains are involved. She is driven by a fanatical desire to outright murder these two groups of individuals, taking any and all opportunities to do so where she can be somewhat certain she won't be injured or caught. Her personality undergoes a truly sinister transformation in these cases, becoming cold and sadistic. Ultimately, her goal is to create a world where the docile souls that make up the general populace can live in peace without the threat of evil or the misguided to cast a shadow on their lives. The hypocrisy of her actions has not occurred to her in the slightest. Kari is undeniably insane, though she doesn't acknowledge this and becomes deeply offended if anyone suggests as much.
Kari's interests are many and varied, but she enjoys singing, dancing, and shopping the most. She has been considering picking up an instrument but is too easily frustrated with the early stages of becoming proficient to really put in the effort. Despite her villainous actions, she is far from comfortable with the idea of killing anyone that isn't a villain or a vigilante. Her opinion on the recent appearance of hero schools is negative. She finds it disgraceful that vigilantes would even dare to consider themselves heroic with all the harm they do. It's her hope that they fail so that the world will come to understand what she knew long ago: There's nothing good that comes from using Quirks against others, no matter what their intentions may be.

HISTORY
Kari was born in a simple suburb of Tokyo to just about the plainest parents imaginable. Her mother had a "silent" Quirk that allowed her to store harmless phosphorus deposits in her body while her father could create small sparks by snapping his fingers. Their Quirks combined produced Kari's Shinespark, an ability she was enamored with from the moment it awakened. A few incidents took place where Kari had to be strictly reprimanded about the use of her Quirk (the neighbor's poor rose bush never looked the same after that), but for the most part her life was mundane and happy.
Everything changed one fateful night when Kari was only 10 years old. A robber broke into the family apartment, hoping to snatch up some valuables and make a quick getaway. Unfortunately, Kari's father was up late finishing some work and came upon the thief in the midst of his heist. A scuffle took place, and by the time Kari awoke to screams and a loud crash, the thief burst through a shattered window... and her father was dead. Blood pooled from a trio of bullet-like wounds on his chest, staining the carpet a sickening crimson. Grief and anger filled Kari's mind like poison and, with the irrationality of a child, she gave chase, slinging hate-filled curses at the criminal. Kari's mother, still reeling with shock herself, was late to follow, trying desperately to get Kari to stop and let the police handle the situation.
The commotion that they made drew the attention of those living nearby who were quick to call the police, but it also drew the attention of a local vigilante, an individual cloaked in a simple gray bodysuit, features obscured by a mask and hood. This vigilante moved to intercept the thief, declaring that he would put a stop to the dastardly villain in distorted voice that still haunts Kari's nightmares to this day. Backed into a metaphorical corner, the villain did the only thing any coward could: Threaten Kari and her mother. He grabbed them both and took them hostage, loudly warning the vigilante that one false move would mean their death.
Whether it was incompetence or callousness that influenced what happened next, Kari would never know. All she knew was that one moment she was in the horrible thief's clutches screaming in terror, and the next she watched as a hail of needle-like projectiles embedded themselves in both the thief and her mother, killing them both right before her eyes. Kari herself was unharmed except for a single track of blood where a needle had scraped her cheek. Wide-eyed in horror, she could only kneel next to her fallen mother, wailing in anguish until the police finally came. The vigilante vanished into the night, never to be seen again.
Something broke inside Kari that day. It took her a few days, but even though she'd lost her parents and been placed in the care of her aunt and uncle, everyone around her was astonished at how quickly she recovered. In almost no time at all, she was back to her happy, go-lucky self. That outwardly sunny personality hid a pain so deep that even Kari herself couldn't recognize it. Madness had been planted inside her, surfacing in episodes of quiet fury whenever vigilantes or villains came up in conversation. From her perspective, there was no greater scum alive.
Kari grew into a pretty young woman, flitting through school without a care in the world. She had no real ambitions and had no idea what she wanted to do with her life. On a whim, she signed up for the tryouts of a production company looking for girls to turn into idols. Her singing ability at the time was fairly mediocre, but the combination of her personality and her dancing skills were evidently enough to win them over. The fact that her Quirk was ready made for putting on a show probably helped. She was asked to come in for a second audition and then a third... Before she knew it, Kari began to participate in actual gigs, first with groups of girls and then on her own. The spotlight suited her more than anything she'd ever experienced, and she quickly grew to love the praise and applause that she got for her performances, small though it was.
With her budding popularity came fans, and with fans came the unsavory sorts who would try to take advantage of her. Security for the production company typically did a good job of shielding Kari from the worst of it, except for one time. She came back from a show to discover a stalker had managed to get into her dressing room. As he lunged for her, Kari found herself in a situation very much like the one she'd been in on that fateful night, however this time she was strong enough to fight back. She used her Quirk to create a burst of blinding light that stopped the man's advance, and in the confusion, she grabbed a hairpin from one of her costumes and drove it into the man's eye. Distracted by the more immediate issue of a hairpin embedded in his eye socket, the stalker was unprepared for Kari to grab his head and slam it with all her strength into the corner of a dresser, channeling all of her fright and anger into one fierce blow. The security guards came to investigate the noise and found Kari standing over the would-be stalker, mercifully unconscious but not deceased. There was an investigation, of course, but Kari was cleared of wrongdoing when it was clear she'd acted in self-defense.
Kari had never felt such a rush before. The delicious feeling of cracking the man's skull on the dresser and the satisfying resistance to the hairpin as it entered his eye made joy run down Kari's spine like an electric shock. It felt, in some tiny way, like she had avenged her parents, but it wasn't enough. One monster had been stopped, but who's to say there wouldn't be more? Even for what he'd done to her, the stalker would surely be out of jail within a few months to years of time. That wouldn't work. The only way to stop the scum of the world, the only way to make sure that people like her didn't have to suffer anymore, was to end their lives. And why stop there? Vigilantes weren't any better. Villains had taken away her father, but it was vigilantes who had taken her mother. They all deserved to disappear. Kari had found something to strive for: To bring the justice that no one else would. She would exterminate their filth from the world and bring about a perfect peace where only ordinary people remained and no one would ever have to be hurt again. Embracing her new calling in life, Kari began to plan, gathering the skills she needed to fulfill her role...
