APPEARANCE AND PERSONALITY
Appearance:
When one first looks at Reikiko, it is quite easy to understand why few would believe the type of personality that comes accompanied with her looks. Standing at one meter and sixty-two centimeters tall Reikiko is a young woman of modest height, although her body is lithe and slender. While she might be athletic thanks to her training as an idol, the muscles developed from her exercises are more lean rather than muscular. Although it is quite easy to miss those in favor of her feminine features, which are quite well-developed to the teasing endearment of her partner.
To go a bit further, thanks to the persistent encouragement of her manager and her partner, Reikiko developed a certain style of fashion which is quite prominent to lean toward stylish garbs which she tends to consider cute.
However, one can't really describe Reikiko without including the White Queen. Upon using her quirk Reikiko undergoes not just a psychological metamorphosis but also an physical. Whatever clothing she is wearing is known to disappear and a mysterious female humanoid emerges in her place. The first and most noticeable features of this being are the pure white carapace that covers her body, functioning both as clothing and as protection, at the same time she also has a noticeable set of wings which grant her the capacity of airborne flight. Meanwhile she is also noticed to have a long extendable tail with a sharp stinger on the tip.
Still, the most prominent feature is most likely the white mask that covers part of her face, a mask which upon removal easily places the link to Reikiko, as this being possesses the same hair color, style and eyes as Reikiko herself does.

✖ Insecure, Clingy, Emotional
LIKES
✔ Singing, Homura, yuri manga
DISLIKES
✖ The idol industry, hero society, tomatoes
Personality:
The first interactions with Reikiko give quite an understandable sense of confusion at how a girl like her could become an idol. Reikiko is a gentle and compassionate girl, a warmhearted lass who tends to put too much care into the feelings of others, and yet because of her insecure nature is often prone to worry in silence. Indeed, the young Kimura is a quiet lass, a wallflower compared to her partner Homura who shines so brigthly.
Speaking of her, Reikiko is incredibly loyal, to the point of a flaw toward Homura. She is someone the girl is willing to support through thick and thin, and in a simple way is best described as someone Reikiko cares the most for in her life.
It is also Homura who taught Reikiko the wonderful sensation that singing brings for her, to the girl singing is a way to release the emotions within her heart, emotions she usually doesn't dare to express. As a result the act of singing is one she is incredibly fond of, for understandable reasons.
Further speaking, as she is both her childhood friend and lover, Homura is someone that is irreplaceable to Reikiko, and as a result the young lady has shown to be both clingy yet incredibly protective of her, going out of her way to try to be at her side as much as possible.
Meanwhile, it is also their relationship which has driven Reikiko to develop a fondness for yuri manga. While she likes manga in general, it pales in comparison to the entertainment she finds in that particular genre, and can often be found secretly daydreaming stuff involving herself and Homura while reading said stories.
Speaking of her dislikes, oddly enough Reikiko has come to dislike the idol industry. In the wake of the events of their debut Reikiko was heartbroken at the knowledge that other idols can be so vile and corrupt, and that the idol industry is such a cutthroat battlefield. As a result, while she is hesitant to agree with Homura's methods, she feels the need to change things, and has joined her lover in her quest to 'cleanse' the idol industry.
She also shows a subtle dislike for hero society, blaming the fact their concert was ruined onto their lack of intervention that night. However, her dislike for them is only slightly overpowered by her hatred for anything that has tomatoes in it. Aside from Tomato ketchup, she loves Tomato ketchup, to the bewilderment of everyone.
However, as mentioned Reikiko's quirk also forces a psychological change onto her. While the changes can happen even while her quirk is inactive and a suitable 'trigger' is made, this change in 'persona' is commonly refered to as the 'Queen' or 'Astaroth'. When she dons this persona Reikiko becomes much more confident, her earlier insecurities fading away as she shows a much more suave and charismatic nature. She also is known to become quite the teasing presence toward Homura.
However, the truth is that her quirk simply allows Reikiko to tap into the emotions buried deep within her, and as such, she is often prone to displaying less pleasant sides also. Someone who can easily dish out the sass and trash talk, sarcasm overflowing from her comments, it is also evident that Reikiko's suppressed anger at the recent events has caused her to develop a rather cruel and sadistic side to her, which might explain why she is so hesitant to use her Quirk.
While some might think that the Queen is another personality, the truth is that it is merely a psychological crutch that Reikiko developed to deal with her personality problems.

HISTORY
Dreams are a peculiar something, aren't they? Some say that they are the spice that makes life worth living, and yet sometimes they might turn into nightmares that threaten to crush your life. For Reikiko dreams have always been an important part of her life. Ever since she was a child Reikiko was a child who lived her life filled with dreams, and yet lacked the courage to chase and reach out to them. Simply said, her life was as normal as it could get. However, that all changed when two presences were introduced into her life. The first one to arrive was the development of her Quirk. It was unusual, for some reason the girl could conjure a mask out of nowhere, scientists weren't sure what to make of it, the mask seemed to be made of a material similar to the carapace of an insect, and yet was lighter and studier, but it showed little what her quirk might be like. However, as time passed Reikiko started to hear something, a voice of sorts in the back of her head. It was a voice filled with confidence, a voice which could easily inspire people and demand respect from them, regal in a way so the girl referred to the voice as the 'Queen'.
The Queen was an enigmatic presence, often inquiring why Reikiko never tried to reach for her dreams, about how she had always been so hesitant to reach out to that which she truly desired. Was it fear? Doubt? a lack of confidence? Or perhaps she felt she wasn't worthy of chasing dreams. But that all changed when in kindergarten a girl appeared into her life, a girl who would change her remarkably. Homura Fubuki was her name. Homura was radiant in her eyes, confident and cheerful, yet fiery and energetic in her own way, so it was understandable that Reikiko took a liking to her. Even if she was a wallflower, a insignificant presence, the girl still felt she would be satisfied living her life watching Homura up close.
Time passed as the two girls their friendship developed further, and the childhood friends entered high school. She still remembered it clearly. Homura had invited her to attend to a idol concert, it was a curious invitation, a place Reikiko would have normally never be found at, but it was that invitation which changed her forever. To see how those idols were standing in the spotlight, dancing and singing to their heart's delight. It was invigorating, and in fact, it made her a bit jealous, longing to experience it herself.
Still, never did she expect that the next day an excited Homura approached her with an idea: Let's become idols! She said, that grin on her lips as she voiced her idea as if it was the most normal thing in the world. Of course Reikiko was hesitant, dancing... singing... those were things she didn't know if she could even do them properly! However, just as she was on the brink of denying the idea, the Queen's voice beckoned her to reconsider.
This is your chance Rei, reach out to your dreams, take that first step. The first step is always the hardest, but you'll get there, together you'll get both your wishes granted.
It was an enigmatic encouragement, although she had dreamed of becoming an idol since that concert, she wasn't sure what the Queen meant with that 'other' wish. Still, little did she expect that her heart would soon come to understand the Queen's words, for when Homura happily embraced her when she voiced her agreement of the idea, Reikiko felt her heart skip a beat. Day in day out the two of them practiced together, after their school hours, during the weekends.
The training was hard, and most would likely give up, but each time the thought threatened to surface within her, it was Homura's presence, her smile which banished the thoughts. It was during their last year of High School that the girls finally saw their efforts rewarded. An agent working for a popular idol company had seen the two of them practice, complimenting Reikiko's voice and how full of emotion it was, and how Homura's movements showed such energy that she wanted them to work with her.
She would help give them professional training, coaches and a chance for a debut, in the end a good agent saw where potential dwelled, and potential meant an investment which could pay off well. And so on their eighteenth birthday two things happened. It was on the eve of their first performance, a debut concert that Reikiko heard the Queen's voice again, reminding her to reach out, to reach for her dreams. They had been at the back of their stage, Homura clearly noticed how nervous she was, trying to reassure her with a gentle squeeze of her hand, yet the blond-haired lass felt her heart skip a beat once more. It had taken quite a while for her to realize what the Queen meant: Reikiko had two wishes: To shine like an idol, and to bask in the glow that only one girl could produce for her. There was a warmth in her heart, an excitement none could bring forth like her childhood friend did, and so Reikiko acted upon her second wish: She confessed to Homura and kissed her.
It seemed their feelings were mutual, the years they spend together having made those feelings blossom, and with newfound courage Reikiko joined her partner- her lover onto the stage, oblivious of the nightmare that awaited them. It all began like a beautiful dream, the stadium was filled to the brim with people, cheers of excitement coming from the crowd as their manager clearly had gone out of her way to advertise them.
The first opening song began, one which the two had practiced to perfection, the song might had not been the greatest ever, but the emotions imbued into their lyrics and the choreography were enough to bring forth a thunderous cheer. Reikiko smiled happily toward Homura, a nod of affirmation for them to continue their next song following when...
BANG!
A loud explosion followed, accompanied with several shouting voices. For some reason people had started fighting within the audience, violence erupting left and right. Of course, the security staff intervened as quickly as they could, but as it was later revealed: against Quirkers they had a fair share of difficulties regaining control. In horror Reikiko watched as their performance, their dream was turned into a nightmare, people screaming in panic, some even thinking a terrorist or villain attacked them, but it was something different, yet just as sinister. Heartbroken Reikiko was pulled away from the stage by Homura, the girl's voice, her songs unable to reach the audience any longer.
In the days that followed an intensive investigation was launched into the matter, and although no official statement was brought forth about the identity of the rioters, Homura's own digging into the matter revealed a brutal truth: It seemed that on the internet a local group of idols had been jealous at the fact the two girls their rising popularity and as a result decided to burn their performance to the ground, literally by calling upon their rabid fans to unleash a riot.
Seeing how heartbroken Reikiko was, and recalling the pure smile on the girl's lips prior to their performance, Homura had made a vow: She would ensure that smile would return, it had all become clear to her now. The reason for Reikiko's grief must had been 'them', and so the lass decided to embody the saying: an eye for an eye, a tooth for a tooth and evil for evil.
It all began when Homura ended up skipping the time they spend together in the evening, having been staying together at the same appartment since the events that had unfolded. She would go out by herself on some business, and often return long after Reikiko had fallen asleep, but it was at one point that she felt she needed to act.
First came the news reports of a certain idol group's disbanment, a few days after Homura returned home injured from one of her trips, and realizing the two cases might had been involved, Reikiko approached her lover about the subject. It was just as she feared: Homura had been harassing the idols responsible for ruining their performance, yet her feelings of vengeance were born out of a concern and sadness for her. The way how Homura said she was doing this, becoming a 'Idol Huntress' for her sake, Reikiko was speechless.
It was true, they had seen it themselves, experienced it themselves what a cutthroat battlefield the idol industry truly was, and Homura had taken it upon herself to cleanse that world. They couldn't rely on those so-called heroes, in the end they didn't show up to save their performance, in fact because it didn't involve a villain it seemed no hero had even paid it any attention!
Still, to think that Homura would go as far as to return home bruised... it was something she didn't want, for her lover to suffer like that, and so Reikiko embraced the girl tightly, whispering how she would keep her safe, that together they would cleanse the corruption from the idol industry. They would become Idol Hunters!
It was like this that the two girls began their doubelife, during the days they were rising idol stars, and yet at night became masked hunters. Still, as time progresses it seemed that Reikiko would learn that the Queen had a much greater stake in her adventure, than one initially assumed!
